Reborn as an Alpha and Still Wanting to Engage in Lesbian Relationships - Chapter 30.2
She absolutely loved being the center of all the other children’s envious gazes!
Being the first one picked up by her mother in front of so many children, Jiang Man sat in her mother’s arms like a little emperor who had just won a battle.
Turning her head to look at the proud little emperor Manzai, Jiang Feng proudly lifted her chin and asked, “Isn’t your mom amazing?”
The little one grinned widely and answered her mother with a loud, smacking kiss.
Time moved steadily forward. Before anyone knew it, the little ones who had been wearing short sleeves were now in jackets, and soon after, they were bundled up in little coats.
When the small class celebrated their first New Year’s Day, Aunt Xu Nuo, who had been out of touch for a long time, finally reappeared.
It had been over half a year since they last saw her. Jiang Man, holding her little sister Wen Qing’s hand, looked curiously at Aunt Xu Nuo and Aunt Wen Yu.
Hmm…
Why did Aunt Xu Nuo seem chubbier?
It was an undeniable fact that Xu Nuo had gained weight.
At first glance, her figure still seemed slender, but once viewed from the side, her noticeably fuller chin became quite apparent.
Xu Nuo enthusiastically waved to Manzai and the others. Behind her, Wen Yu stepped forward and handed carefully prepared gifts to the two little ones.
“Wow!”
Jiang Man’s gift was a crystal ball. Inside the sparkling crystal ball were four miniature little ones that looked strikingly similar to the custom-made “Observing the Little Ones F4.” It was clear that a lot of thought had been put into it, and Jiang Man couldn’t help but gasp in admiration.
After admiring her own gift, the curious little one craned her neck to see what Wen Qing had received.
Unlike Jiang Man’s gift, Wen Qing’s was a photo of two chubby little ones snuggling cheek-to-cheek.
Jiang Man leaned in for a closer look and realized, to her horror, that the embarrassing moment from her first meeting with Wen Qing had been turned into a gift for her little sister by Aunt Wen Yu!
Aunt Wen Yu was so careless!
Feeling indignant on Wen Qing’s behalf, Jiang Man grew both angry and frustrated. Her round eyes, now blazing with fury, fixed accusingly on the gentler-looking Wen Yu.
“Huh?”
Noticing the little one’s furious glare, a confused Wen Yu asked, “What’s wrong, Manzai?”
Clutching her own exquisitely beautiful and thoughtfully made crystal ball, the little protector Manzai couldn’t help but grit her teeth in frustration: How infuriating! Aunt Wen Yu really had the nerve to ask what was wrong!
They hadn’t noticed Wen Qing, though not articulate, was exceptionally sensitive. She might be feeling hurt by the perfunctory gift from her aunt!
Filled with a sense of justice and burning with anger, the little one stomped over, pulling Wen Yu’s hand and rushing toward Wen Qing, wanting Wen Yu to see her sister’s sad expression at being treated so carelessly.
But unexpectedly, when they arrived, they found Wen Qing wearing a smile.
Looking up and catching sight of Wen Yu, Wen Qing smiled at her mother for the first time: “Thank you, Mother. I really like this gift.”
“If possible, could you give me the negatives?”
The mother-daughter pair, who had been like adversaries since Wen Qing’s birth, were not exactly warm today, but the atmosphere was remarkably peaceful.
Liu Ying watched, somewhat surprised.
“Hmph, what do you think?” Seeing Liu Ying’s astonished expression, Xu Nuo proudly leaned in to boast, “Am I not skilled at managing my wife? Impressive, right?”
Seeing her so full of herself, Liu Ying didn’t indulge her. Usually praised by the media as the gentlest and most amicable Grand Slam winner, Liu Ying now openly showed sharp disdain for her “rival.” “No one said you were great, and you’re already bragging. So full of yourself.”
“Hey!”
Xu Nuo wasn’t having it. She rolled up her sleeves, ready for a no-holds-barred brawl.
But before it could start, Liu Ying cut her off with an eye-roll. “Tell me, after dumping the little one here in June, you’ve been gone for over half a year. What have you been up to?”
Xu Nuo chuckled, an uncharacteristic blush of youthful infatuation spreading across her face.
” I went on a honeymoon with Wen Yu, where we were completely open and honest.” Noticing Liu Ying’s frown, Xu Nuo quickly added, “I swear, I originally planned to divorce her after the honeymoon!”
“Mm-hmm, and then?” Liu Ying responded half-heartedly.
But then she saw Xu Nuo’s blush deepen, turning as red as if she’d been boiled, her voice growing softer: “And then, you wouldn’t believe it, she’s so pitiful.”
“I thought, she’s so beautiful, so stunning. If we really divorced, she might never find someone as outstanding again. And then we fought it out.”
Xu Nuo blushed like a girl experiencing her first crush, bashful yet radiating happiness.
Looking at her, then at Wen Yu, whose demeanor had clearly softened though not overflowing with affection for the little one, she no longer showed any disgust or hostility Liu Ying leaned into Jiang Feng’s embrace, pretending to be disgusted and letting out a mock retch.
Xu Nuo giggled, lifting her plump chin proudly, like a preening peacock.
Her smug, love-saturated expression made Liu Ying want to slap her.
Before Liu Ying could raise her hand, Wen Yu approached, holding Wen Qing’s hand.
Xu Nuo crouched down and reached out to hug the little one.
The Jiang family’s atmosphere was warm. Since that incident, Jiang Feng had worked hard to let go of her reservations and treat the child equally.
The time Wen Qing spent living with the Jiang family was the happiest period of her life.
Watching Wen Qing standing with her mothers, Jiang Man suddenly felt anxious. The little one’s eyes welled up, and she instinctively reached out to grab the pretty child’s hand. “Little sister, are you leaving?”
“Not ‘little sister,'” the pretty child corrected. “It’s Qing Qing.”
Now a mature student in the toddler class, the little one’s speech had become much clearer.
Watching Manzai with teary eyes clutching Wen Qing’s little hand, looking utterly adorable in their heart-wrenching farewell scene, Xu Nuo suddenly felt her heart melt into a puddle. “Manzai loves Qingzai so much, how could they ever be separated?”
Jiang Man didn’t quite understand, only trembling with a sob as she asked, “Then, will meimei come back after leaving?”
Hearing this, Wen Qing sighed helplessly and repeated, “It’s Qingzai, silly Manman.”
The child’s tear-filled eyes were irresistibly endearing. Unable to resist, Xu Nuo scooped up the sobbing little one and called out to the remaining three adults and one child: “Let’s go across the hall! Wen Yu made dinner before we came over!”
“Manzai and Qingzai are so close, I won’t be the villain who separates good friends.”
“Plus, Jinzai and the others all go to the same kindergarten. I heard their families will be moving here soon too. After discussing with Wen Yu, we decided to just live across from each other. We’ll still be neighbors!”
The crying little one was carried by Auntie Xu Nuo from her own home to the apartment directly opposite.
The two homes were less than a minute apart. Before the child could even dry her tear-filled eyes, she had already arrived at Wen Qing’s new home – where Jiang Man had once stayed temporarily.
When put down, the little girl still seemed somewhat dazed.
Staring at the familiar decor around her, the child stood still in a trance. After a long moment, Jiang Man finally snapped out of it and trotted over to Wen Qing’s side, happily grabbing her hand to celebrate: “Meimei, we don’t have to be separated!”
“Not meimei, it’s Qingzai.”
Wen Qing reached up and cupped Jiang Man’s chubby cheeks, squishing them playfully.
But Jiang Man resisted stubbornly. Even with her face squished into a little duck’s mouth, she insisted firmly: “You are meimei! Just meimei!”
The two little ones began bickering childishly over the nickname, making the adults unable to suppress their smiles.
As an impromptu housewarming gesture, Jiang Feng hadn’t brought anything for their future neighbors. After some thought, he took out his professional photo laminating equipment and helped Wen Qing laminate the gift Wen Yu had given her.
Looking at the photo of his daughter holding Wen Qing’s hand with her eyes closed, leaning in for a kiss, Jiang Feng found it absolutely adorable.
Bringing the laminated photo to Wen Yu, Jiang Feng glanced at the two children still arguing about nicknames and leaned in: “About that photo negative – I’d like a copy too.”
“No.” Wen Yu refused bluntly. “This is a gift for Wen Qing. If I give you the negative too, then the gift loses its uniqueness.”
Jiang Feng had expected Wen Yu to agree readily, but never imagined this formerly gloomy and twisted woman would become so inflexible after being influenced by her wife.
Jiang Feng was left speechless.
But Wen Yu “helpfully” suggested: “You can ask Wen Qing for it. Since the gift belongs to her now, she has the rights to dispose of it.”
How embarrassing for an adult to beg a child for a gift!
Jiang Feng stuffed his hands in his pockets and walked away.
Several days later, Jiang Feng finally swallowed his pride and asked Wen Qing for a reprint from the negative.
Regarding this, Chairman Jiang declared: Hmph, those high-and-mighty parents simply don’t understand the importance of every single photo of their little ones!
Tucking the freshly printed photo into his pocket, he added it to Jiang Man’s growth record book that very night.
While on the surface Xu Nuo and Wen Yu had taken Wen Qing back home, in reality every night at bedtime, the lovely little girl from across the hall would always knock on the Jiang family’s door right on time.
Later, for convenience, Liu Ying and Jiang Feng simply registered the facial features of the Wen family’s three members into the home security system.
Unnoticed, winter gave way to spring. After Fang Jin and Mu Qian took turns celebrating their second birthdays, summer quietly arrived.
When summer arrives, Jiang Man’s greatest joy is running wild in the manor where Little Sun lives.
Starting from the first year, every summer and birthday of the little one has been spent at the manor.
“Whew!”
The little one, who had just officially graduated from the toddler class, blew out the birthday candles with a serious expression.
Now officially two years old, the baby fat on the little one’s cheeks remained stubbornly present, adding a soft, cuddly charm.
As the most popular little one in the entire Green Jinjin Kindergarten, Jiang Man, who often accompanies her mother to film sets for cameo roles, now carries the burden of being an idol!
Fresh from winning her first Best Supporting Role award, the adorable little one was riding high on success.
With her chin held high, she rode on Little Sun, who had grown much bigger, like a little emperor surveying her domain.
Jiang Man had grown up, and Little Sun, who was once a small foal, had grown up too.
The tiny saddle that once fit Little Sun had been retired. Now, Little Sun carried a special birthday gift from Wen Qing, made just for Jiang Man.
Fang Jin and the others had been waiting for “King Manman” to finish her horse ride for a long time. Just as they were growing impatient, King Manman dismounted from Little Sun, grabbed her straw hat, plopped it on her head, and ran toward her friends.
Since they were at the manor, how could they miss out on the little ones’ favorite activities like fruit-picking and water fights?
The four little ones, three dogs and one snake the beloved F4 from the show, were the most popular kids in Green Jinjin Kindergarten and the most mischievous troublemakers at the manor.
The energy of little ones is a mystery.
