Quick Transmigration: The Yandere CEO is Both Pampering and Seductive - Chapter 9
Lu Chenhan paused slightly, looking somewhat dazed.
Until Song Chubai spoke up, “What part of me attracted you?”
Song Chubai was genuinely curious, as this was the first time he had ever encountered someone saying such a thing to him.
Hearing this, the smile at the corners of Lu Chenhan’s lips seemed to grow even colder.
“Testing me?” He let out a cold snort, straightened his waist, and looked down at Song Chubai from a towering height, dark light surging deep within his pitch-black, ink-like eyes. “Wanting me to praise you?”
He would never do such a thing.
Song Chubai looked at Lu Chenhan with a bewildered expression.
He had no intention of testing him at all, let alone wanting him to praise him.
He was simply curious, but it seemed he wouldn’t get an answer.
Fortunately, he was already used to such unanswered questions, so he simply lowered his head and obediently responded with an “oh.”
The single stray hair atop his head seemed to sense its master’s dejection, drooping downward and exuding a hint of disappointment.
Lu Chenhan pursed his lips, his gaze fixed straight on Song Chubai.
Did he really like him this much? Was he this disappointed just from not getting an answer?
Tch.
With a soft click of his tongue internally, Lu Chenhan said with a hint of irritability, “Alright, you are very obedient, okay?”
This was the first time he had ever praised someone; he was letting him off easy.
Lu Chenhan turned his head away, refusing to look at Song Chubai, and muttered with growing irritation, “Alright, work is over.”
He turned around, walked briskly over to his office desk, and closed his computer.
Song Chubai tilted his head, his gaze landing on Lu Chenhan.
The afterglow of the setting sun spilled over him, and from this angle, he could see that nearly perfect profile.
He had to admit that Lu Chenhan’s appearance was superior, but unfortunately, his brain had some issues.
Manic-depression, wasn’t that just having a problem in the head?
As for how to cure Lu Chenhan, Song Chubai still had no clue whatsoever.
Fortunately, he wasn’t someone who liked to overthink things. Since he temporarily had no clues, he could only let things take their natural course.
Staying by Lu Chenhan’s side, he would surely find a way eventually.
Thinking of this, Song Chubai couldn’t help but curve his lips into a smile.
The dimples on both sides of his cheeks carried a hint of sweetness, unexpectedly catching the eye of Lu Chenhan, who happened to turn his head over at that moment.
His heartstrings softened inexplicably, and an unprecedented tingling sensation rose from the bottom of his heart, rapidly spreading through his entire body until it gathered once more and returned to his heart.
His Adam’s apple bobbed up and down, and the gaze he cast toward Song Chubai carried a few more layers of unfathomable meaning.
He had already packed his things, and now, it was time to go home.
Lu Chenhan took the lead, not walking toward Song Chubai, but keeping his eyes fixed entirely on him.
After taking two steps, seeing that Song Chubai still showed no intention of getting up, he couldn’t help but deepen his tone and say, “Going home.”
Song Chubai only then snapped back to reality. He hurriedly gave an acknowledgment, stood up in a rush, and followed Lu Chenhan’s pace, walking right beside him.
Lu Chenhan lowered his head slightly, casting a covert glance at Song Chubai’s hand hanging by his side.
His fingers were slender like green spring onions, and faint blue veins were visible beneath the fair skin of the back of his hand, exuding a sort of alluring fragility.
Yet, for no apparent reason, another thought popped into Lu Chenhan’s mind.
He is too thin; he should be fattened up a bit so that holding him would feel more comfortable.
The moment this thought emerged, Lu Chenhan was suddenly startled to realize that he actually harbored the desire to hold Song Chubai.
His expression darkened abruptly, his aura turning cold, and he quickened his pace toward the elevator.
Seeing him speed up, Song Chubai had no choice but to quicken his pace to keep up.
The two entered the elevator almost one after the other. Lu Chenhan pressed the negative one button, and cold air continued to radiate from his body non-stop.
Song Chubai stood beside him, looking at Lu Chenhan with a puzzled expression.
This person seemed to be angry.
But why was he angry?
Song Chubai racked his brains, and a flash of insight struck him.
Could it be that he was angry because he had personally pressed the elevator button?
Come to think of it, it was quite possible. Wasn’t it said that overbearing CEOs never do manual labor themselves?
Thinking this, Song Chubai stealthily reached out a finger and pressed the negative one button.
After holding it down briefly for three seconds, the red light that was originally lit up disappeared.
Then he quickly pressed it again, and the red light of the negative one button lit up once more.
Now, this wouldn’t count as the overbearing CEO doing it himself, right?
He looked toward Lu Chenhan, only to find him staring intently at him with a burning gaze. He instinctively touched his face; there shouldn’t be any dirty marks on it, right?
“President Lu?” he asked questioningly with confusion.
Lu Chenhan had taken in all of his small actions just now.
A cold smirk appeared at the corners of his lips. He propped one hand against the elevator door, boxing Song Chubai within his embrace, and hooked his lips. “Trying to catch my attention again?”
Song Chubai raised his head, his long, slender eyelashes trembling as he looked up at him.
“What?” He looked somewhat blank.
He didn’t seem to have done anything.
“I didn’t do anything.” Without paying attention, he blurted out his inner thoughts.
Lu Chenhan gave a light raise of his eyebrow. “Didn’t do anything? Then what were you pressing the elevator button for just now?”
Wasn’t it just to attract his attention?
Just as Song Chubai wanted to reply, the elevator arrived.
The elevator doors opened. Lu Chenhan’s hand had originally been propped against the elevator door, and once the door opened, his hand lost its point of support.
His body lunged forward toward Song Chubai due to inertia.
With a sweep of his large arm, he wrapped it around the boy’s waist.
Struck by this impact, Song Chubai took a step back and instinctively wrapped his small hands around Lu Chenhan’s waist to steady his balance.
In this way, it turned into Lu Chenhan holding Song Chubai’s waist with one arm, while Song Chubai’s hands firmly encircled his waist.
This embracing posture looked ambiguous no matter how one looked at it.
Lu Chenhan’s eyes darkened even further, his Adam’s apple bobbing as a low, husky tone welled up in his voice.
“Couldn’t hold back even this soon?”
Taking a deep breath, Song Chubai barely managed to steady his footing. Without really registering what Lu Chenhan had said, he blindly nodded and let out an acknowledgment.
He released his hands from around Lu Chenhan, broke free from the embrace, took a few steps back, and walked straight out of the elevator.
As he walked sideways, his slightly red earlobes fell right into Lu Chenhan’s field of vision.
He even gets shy. He scoffed inwardly, his hand dropping down, his fingertips twitching slightly, yet touching nothing.
His fingertips seemed to still retain Song Chubai’s body temperature, stirring up a trace of lingering reluctance within him.
Tch.
He gave a soft click of his tongue, unsure whether it was directed at Song Chubai or himself.
He strode forward toward the car.
As he passed by Song Chubai, his gaze swept over those flushed earlobes for a fleeting moment.
The pink and tender appearance of the earlobes carried a hint of cuteness, really making someone want to pluck them.
Lu Chenhan pursed his lips, his expression dark, and quickened his pace toward the private car.
Watching his retreating back, Song Chubai’s eyelashes fluttered slightly.
Because of that ambiguous embrace, his body was faintly burning.
