- Chapter 6 - Yandere No. 1
Since showing off her skills, Fang Yu’s popularity in the lower-track class had skyrocketed. Her homeroom teacher now treated her like a prized treasure, granting her every whim. Even when she made the unreasonable request to skip his own class, the teacher simply gritted his teeth and agreed.
Humming a popular tune from her original world, Fang Yu strolled into the classroom. She passed by Duan Ming, who was intensely focused on a mobile game, and casually rapped on his desk. “Duan Ming, help me move my desk.”
“Fuck! What a brain-dead teammate! Can’t land a single shot! You’re tanking my rank—just wait until I report you, you little brat!” Duan Ming huffed, tossing his phone aside in frustration.
However, the moment he saw Fang Yu standing there, his face instantly shifted into a beaming smile. His mastery of “face-changing” was truly top-tier. Fang Yu watched the transition with genuine amusement.
Duan Ming moved quickly, acting as her loyal errand boy to haul the desk downstairs. Surprisingly, he seemed delighted to be used as manual labor. After all, Fang Yu hadn’t asked anyone else—she asked him. In his mind, this proved he was a very special “lackey” to her.
“Sister Yu, you got leave again?” Duan Ming couldn’t suppress his curiosity. Fang Yu’s recent behavior had been one surprise after another.
“It’s routine leave,” Fang Yu corrected him, her mood brightening as they approached the Moral Education Building.
In truth, it was routine. The original owner of this body was a wild spirit whose attendance depended entirely on her mood. Since her family had donated a library to the school, the administration was too embarrassed to discipline her; they preferred to turn a blind eye as long as she didn’t cause a major scandal. This time, however, she had official approval, making her presence—or absence—a bit more “above board.”
Outside Li Ruoruo’s classroom, Duan Ming stopped her. He looked conflicted, as if hesitating to speak. “Sister Yu, why haven’t you been ‘playing the field’ lately? I was actually thinking of introducing my little cousin to you.”
His younger cousin had visited the school last week and happened to see him leaving with Fang Yu. She had been smitten ever since, incessantly pestering him for “that older sister’s” contact information. But without Fang Yu’s permission, he didn’t dare leak her number. Usually, this would be simple: show Fang Yu a selfie of the cousin, and if she liked what she saw, things would fall into place.
But Fang Yu’s behavior these past few days was baffling. This sudden “reformed playgirl” act—was she into some kind of long-term cosplay?
Hearing this, Fang Yu’s expression turned righteous. She caught a glimpse of the classroom out of the corner of her eye and raised her voice intentionally: “Don’t mention such things again. I’m a woman with a girlfriend. Why are you still trying to set me up with other girls?”
The students sitting near the window heard her loud and clear. Their eyes widened as they darted glances toward Li Ruoruo, who was quietly studying inside. Within seconds, more students crowded the window, hoping to catch an even more scandalous declaration.
Flustered by the collective gaze of the crowd, Duan Ming toughened his resolve for one last attempt: “My cousin is really pretty. Why don’t I bring her over for you to see before you turn her down?”
Fang Yu gave him a cryptic smile and uttered four words: “What do you think?”
Unable to withstand the literal weight of the surrounding stares, Duan Ming fled in embarrassment.
Inside the classroom, Li Ruoruo who had been attempting mental math on a mock exam had long since lost her train of thought.
Click.
The pen in her hand slipped from her grip and rolled off the desk. As she leaned over to retrieve it, her fingers didn’t find the pen. Instead, they brushed against someone’s nose. Li Ruoruo recoiled instantly, like a startled fawn.
“Your arms are so short, don’t waste your energy reaching. I’ve got it.”
Fang Yu held the pen perfectly intact. As Li Ruoruo reached for it, their fingertips inevitably touched. Just as she tried to pull away, Fang Yu flipped her hand and clasped it firmly.
Tsk. The texture, it felt a thousand times better than the finest silken tofu. The girl she had “entertained” the other day couldn’t even compare.
Li Ruoruo’s face flushed crimson. She instinctively tried to break free, but Fang Yu wouldn’t allow her to escape.
While they were entangled, Li Ruoruo’s seatmate tactfully stepped aside. “Sister Yu, I’ll move my desk out first. You can sit here later.”
Fang Yu waved a hand in dismissal, her attention remaining fixed on Li Ruoruo.
Unable to break the grip and feeling increasingly frustrated, Li Ruoruo’s eyes darted around. Using her free hand, she grabbed a pen cap from the desk and gave the back of Fang Yu’s hand a vicious, twisting pinch.
[Host, the target of influence is causing you physical harm!]
Fang Yu, who had been engrossed in teasing her “girlfriend,” snapped back to reality. She was shocked to see a piece of skin on the back of her hand nearly gouged off, the flesh separating from the bone. And the culprit showed no sign of stopping.
She immediately cried out in pain and let go. “You’re so cold-hearted! How could you hit me so hard?”
Clutching the back of her hand, Fang Yu began a tearful performance of condemnation. In reality, the System had granted her a “Pain Immunity” buff; she couldn’t feel a thing.
Li Ruoruo looked momentarily guilty, wondering if she had gone too far. But seeing Fang Yu’s overly dramatic display, her irritation returned.
Hmph! She deserved it!
After Fang Yu wailed for a while with no response from Li Ruoruo, she ended the act and sat down beside her. She began studying her hand, contemplating her next move.
Li Ruoruo tried to return to her studies, but she couldn’t stop herself from checking on Fang Yu. She stole several glances, but Fang Yu remained focused on the wound, ignoring her.
With a sigh, Li Ruoruo reluctantly pulled a band-aid from her desk. She had bought it at a pharmacy for ten bucks. Is this just another way to humiliate myself? she wondered.
She gently pushed it over. “Put this on. It’ll heal faster.”
The person who seemed lost in thought reacted instantly. Fang Yu joyfully applied the bandage, even patting it down firmly for good measure.
Li Ruoruo was stunned. She actually accepted it? She had expected Fang Yu to say something like, “I never use these cheap off-brands,” before tossing it into the trash like a piece of garbage.
Class soon began. The female teacher at the podium was lecturing passionately on key concepts. She then listed several problems on the blackboard—high-difficulty questions reportedly sourced from another elite school. She asked if anyone was willing to come up and try their hand at them.
The lecture went in one of Fang Yu’s ears and out the other. She was too busy playing with Li Ruoruo’s soft, delicate hand.
In the middle of class, Li Ruoruo didn’t dare struggle too obviously, and with the previous scene still fresh in her mind, she could only let Fang Yu have her way.
The students of the honors class were eager to prove themselves. One after another, they went up to challenge the board; their happiness was fueled by solving complex equations. However, the questions were truly difficult. Every student who stepped up failed, returning to their seats dejected, hoping someone else could find the solution.
The teacher observed everyone’s performance. The questions were tricky, involving concepts she hadn’t even covered yet. Seeing students get halfway through was already satisfying enough for her.
Wait. One of her most promising students hadn’t stepped up. She was curious to see how far Li Ruoruo could get.
As her gaze shifted to Li Ruoruo’s desk, her attention was abruptly snatched by the figure sitting next to her. The teacher had certainly heard the rumors of Fang Yu’s romantic escapades. A playful, mischievous smile crossed her face.
“Since when did our class get a new auditing student?”
