Pregnant With the Villain Boss’ Baby - Chapter 27
In the small garden, the two women were positioned incredibly close—one sitting, the other leaning over. Their faces were inches apart, their breaths mingling in the quiet air.
Both were stunning beauties, and from a distance, it looked like a scene of perfect harmony. But for the person involved, it was anything but “beautiful.”
“What are you doing…?” Yun Mu asked through gritted teeth. She glared at the face so close to hers and tried to pull away, but the hands gripping her shoulders were like iron, pinning her in place. It didn’t hurt, but she couldn’t budge!
Why does this feel so familiar? I feel like this has happened before! So. Not. Happy. -皿-
“You were about to fall,” Lu Fengxu whispered. She was currently lost in the soft fragrance of the woman in her arms—a scent so sweet and intoxicating it made her head swim. Hearing Yun Mu’s voice snapped her back to reality, but she didn’t let go immediately.
Fall? Yun Mu paused and looked behind her. The lounge chair was narrow, and in her instinctive attempt to back away earlier, she had reached the very edge. One more inch and she would have tumbled backward onto the grass.
Realizing this, Yun Mu’s face flushed. She shoved against Lu Fengxu’s chest. “Fine, I get it. I won’t fall. Now let go.”
Lu Fengxu hid her reluctance and stood up, tucking her hands behind her back again. This time, it wasn’t to hide her nerves, but because she was rubbing her fingertips together, trying to preserve the sensation of the touch.
“Whew…” Yun Mu scooted forward to make sure she was securely on the chair. She looked up and saw that Lu Fengxu was still standing right next to her. “Why are you still here?”
Lu Fengxu: Ouch. Used and discarded. My heart.
Lu Fengxu clenched her jaw. She was certain Yun Mu remembered her; otherwise, the hostility wouldn’t be this intense. Of course, she understood why. Anyone who was “forced” by an unfamiliar Alpha would harbor a grudge. She should be lucky Yun Mu hadn’t taken her to court, but… she wasn’t satisfied with just that.
It wasn’t just about being ignored by an Omega. After observing her, she genuinely felt that Yun Mu was a wonderful person. Compared to the artificial, pretentious Omegas of the elite families, Yun Mu was exactly her type.
If that incident hadn’t happened, would she still treat me like this?
Then again, Lu Fengxu realized that without that incident, their lives never would have crossed paths in the first place. She didn’t know whether to be grateful for the tragedy or dejected by the consequences.
“I saw an Alpha entering your house the other day. Is he your—” Before she could finish, Yun Mu cut her off.
“Oh, yeah. Our relationship is exactly what you think it is.” Yun Mu looked at her warily. With Lu Fengxu’s power, there was no way she didn’t know who Yun Mu was. This calculated attempt to “get close” must have an ulterior motive.
Yun Mu wanted nothing to do with the major characters of the original story. She didn’t hold a deep grudge about the night they met—partly because she knew Lu Fengxu was also a victim of a setup, and partly because it happened the moment she transmigrated. She couldn’t turn back time; she just wanted to stay uninvolved.
But this woman… why did she keep showing up?!
Yun Mu pursed her lips, feeling a bit guilty for using Yang Chen as a shield, but she hoped it would make Lu Fengxu back off. If that didn’t work, she’d have to consider moving. It would be a hassle, but staying away from the “incident zone” was worth it.
However, her words were immediately met with a rebuttal.
“I know you two aren’t together.” Lu Fengxu clenched her fists, her voice tight. She felt a sting of pain that Yun Mu would try to use another Alpha as an excuse to avoid her. She had seen the files; she knew Yang Chen was a close friend, but her inner Alpha was still bubbling with jealousy. She wanted to pick the Omega up and carry her home right then and there.
Yun Mu rubbed her nose awkwardly. It’s never fun having a lie called out immediately. Wait, even if that’s true, what does my relationship status have to do with her? And…
“You investigated me?” Yun Mu asked, her brow furrowing.
“I… well…” Lu Fengxu’s military-straight posture stiffened. She looked away, her gaze wandering anywhere but toward Yun Mu.
Yun Mu: If you have the guts to do it, have the guts to look me in the eye! Own it!
Frustrated, Yun Mu ran a hand through her hair. She realized she’d asked a stupid question. Of course she’d been investigated; that’s why the woman was living next door.
“I’m sorry,” Lu Fengxu said softly, bowing her head.
Yun Mu had never met someone who admitted to their “crimes” so quickly. She pinched the bridge of her nose. For some reason, this Big Boss didn’t seem as shrewd as the book described. She seemed… dorky? The gap between her elite exterior and this behavior was massive.
“Ahem. Miss Lu, you should leave. I appreciate the help earlier, but you—” Before she could finish, Lu Fengxu suddenly dropped to one knee in front of her. Yun Mu’s eyes widened, and she instinctively pulled back. “What— what are you doing now?!”
“Don’t move back, or you’ll fall again,” Lu Fengxu warned, her tone serious as she gently grasped Yun Mu’s calf.
“I’ve got it! Can you please take your hand off me?” Yun Mu hissed, feeling a slight sting from the cramp where Lu Fengxu was holding her.
“I need to massage this out, or it’ll get worse. It’s just a cramp, not a sprain, so it should be fine after a minute.” Lu Fengxu checked the leg, relieved it wasn’t a serious injury.
Is she a pervert?! Yun Mu bit her lip as those warm, powerful hands moved over her leg. It felt like her personal space was being invaded, but looking at Lu Fengxu’s earnest, serious face, she suppressed the urge to slap her. She took a deep breath. “I can do it myself later, you— ngh!”
Lu Fengxu began to knead the muscle. Yun Mu let out a sharp breath, her leg jerking instinctively, but Lu Fengxu held her ankle firmly to steady her.
“It’ll hurt a bit. Just endure it for a second,” the General whispered. Lu Fengxu didn’t dare look up at Yun Mu’s face. She knew most Omegas wouldn’t allow an Alpha to touch them so casually. She wanted to savor this quiet, intoxicating moment before Yun Mu told her to stop.
To her surprise, Yun Mu didn’t say another word.
Alphas had tough, rugged bodies; if an Alpha had a cramp, they’d just ignore it or punch the muscle. But Lu Fengxu was terrified of hurting Yun Mu. Her movements were incredibly gentle and rhythmic as she massaged the shapely calf. She found herself wishing time would just stop.
After ten minutes, she gently moved Yun Mu’s ankle to ensure the range of motion was back. “I’ve massaged it out. You should apply some ointment later and you’ll be fine…”
Lu Fengxu stood up, her gaze lingering on her own hands. She could still feel the warmth and the faint, sweet scent of the Omega’s skin.
But when she looked up, she was stunned.
The woman who usually wore a perfect, flirtatious mask was now flushed. Her beautiful phoenix eyes, which were usually full of charm, were now shimmering with tears. Her lips were parted and redder than usual. She looked at Lu Fengxu with a mix of shame and anger!
Lu Fengxu felt like an arrow had pierced her heart. She nearly clutched her chest in a daze, her heart pounding.
As for Yun Mu? She was drowning in a cocktail of embarrassment and confusion.
During the massage, she had—to her absolute horror—felt a reaction. It was only a tiny flicker, but it was there. She’d never felt like that when Yang Chen touched her.
What is wrong with this body? Can we not get along for once?!
She knew Omegas craved the touch of the Alpha who had marked them, but the mark was gone! She’d never heard of an Omega still feeling a lingering connection five years after a mark was scrubbed. Usually, Alphas had to re-mark an Omega periodically or perform a permanent “deep mark.”
She’d had the mark professionally removed. It should be impossible. Was I actually craving an Alpha deep down? Yun Mu felt like her world was ending. Contact with this woman is definitely a curse!
“My leg is fine now. Miss Lu can go home,” Yun Mu said, forcing a smile as she issued her second dismissal.
“…Okay.” Lu Fengxu carefully observed her face. Seeing that her actions hadn’t improved Yun Mu’s opinion of her, she dejectedly turned and walked away.
The second Lu Fengxu stepped into her own villa, Yun Mu bolted upright. She grabbed her plate of snacks and rushed back into her house.
That was terrifying. I am never sunbathing again. It’s bad for my health!
