Pregnant With the Villain Boss’ Baby - Chapter 28
“Mommy, what are you doing?”
Yun Lan trotted into the villa behind Yang Chen, only to find Yun Mu sitting on the sofa in a daze. Yun Mu was staring blankly at nothing, her hand unconsciously rubbing her calf with a peculiar expression.
Thinking her mother might be unwell, Yun Lan scurried over. “Are you feeling okay?”
“Ah? Oh, I’m fine.” Yun Mu gave a dry cough and smoothed her hair, trying to mask a sudden, inexplicable surge of guilt.
Could she really say she was reminiscing about what had just happened? Cursing her traitorous body’s reaction under her breath, she reached out to rub Yun Lan’s head and thanked Yang Chen. “Thanks, Yang Chen, for picking up the ‘Baozi’ on your way back.”
“No problem, it was on my way anyway,” Yang Chen smiled, hanging her jacket on the rack. “I’ll go start on dinner.”
“Great.” Yun Mu nodded, sighing inwardly. Look at Yang Chen—such a perfect, nurturing woman. Then look at the person next door—a total pervert!
Next door, the “pervert” Lu Fengxu let out a sudden sneeze. Who’s talking about me?
“Mommy, you still haven’t said what you were thinking about!” Yun Lan hopped onto the sofa and hugged Yun Mu’s arm, acting cute.
“It’s really nothing.” Yun Mu poked the girl’s forehead with her index finger. Seeing those puffed-out cheeks, she couldn’t help but pinch them. Then a thought struck her—wait, she shouldn’t hide this. This was the perfect time for a “safety lecture”!
Yun Mu sat up straight, pulled Yun Lan into her lap, and said seriously, “Baozi, Mommy has something very important to tell you.”
“Mmhmm!” Yun Lan blinked, surprised. Ever since she turned two, she’d lost the privilege of sitting on Mommy’s lap like this. But Yun Mu’s grave tone caught her attention. She looked up, her chubby little face mimicking her mother’s seriousness.
“Listen, you have to be extra careful when you go out. Mommy checked out the neighbors next door, and they are not good people. You have to be careful not to let them kidnap you,” Yun Mu huffed. Perverts are definitely not good people; I’m not lying, she reasoned.
“…Huh?” Yun Lan blinked. She thought it was going to be something profound. Why was Mommy suddenly bringing up the neighbors? Something definitely happened today, she thought. Otherwise, Mommy wouldn’t be so distracted!
The Alpha kid at school had told her that his Omega mommy was a huge “Tsundere”—she always told him how annoying his daddy was, but actually, she loved him the most and was always clingy. That was just how “couples” acted!
Could it be… Mommy has her eye on the neighbor, and that’s why she’s acting like this? Yun Lan stroked her chin, contemplating like a little adult. Maybe I should move up my ‘reconnaissance mission’ to the villa next door. I need to vet this neighbor to see if they’re worthy of Mommy!
Yun Mu looked at Yun Lan’s focused expression and nodded in satisfaction. As expected of my daughter. She’s so obedient; she took my words right to heart.
If Yun Mu knew what was actually going on in that little head, she would have picked the girl up and shaken her. Then she would have stormed the school to find the brat who was teaching her daughter such weird concepts.
Tsundere?! Your whole family is tsundere! -皿-
Clueless, Yun Mu continued her “education,” feeling triumphant. If I teach her well, she’ll ignore the neighbor entirely. That way, the Big Boss won’t be able to steal my kid!
One big and one small, both lost in their own thoughts, wore identical, eerie smiles. Yang Chen, who had come to call them for dinner, stood in silence, watched the scene, and then quietly turned back toward the kitchen. Best not to disturb whatever… that is.

The next day, Yun Mu arrived at the set, but instead of the usual atmosphere, the air was thick with the scent of a brewing storm.
Now what? Did Gu Mi’er pull another stunt? Yun Mu arched an eyebrow. She reached for the handle of her dressing room, but Luo Ling hurried over and blocked her.
“Luo Ling? What’s going on?” Yun Mu paused, her hand dropping.
“You’re better off not going in. I’ve already applied for a different dressing room for you.” Luo Ling looked livid; the veins on her forehead were pulsing visibly.
Yun Mu glanced around. Indeed, many staff members were whispering and casting sympathetic or indignant looks their way. Whatever was inside was bad.
“Open it,” Yun Mu said, a playful smile touching her lips. She tilted her chin up.
“You really want to see?” Luo Ling frowned but wasn’t truly surprised. She knew Yun Mu wasn’t the type to sit back and do nothing.
“I need to see exactly how far they’re willing to go so I can be prepared.”
“But you can’t—” Before Luo Ling could finish, Yun Mu’s hand was on the handle. She didn’t push it open with her palm; she used her index finger to give it a shove and then quickly pulled her hand back.
A split second later…
Splatter… drip…
Chunks of yellow, foul-smelling filth oozed out from the top of the door frame, accompanied by a wave of nauseating stench.
Yun Mu didn’t flinch. As an actress, she’d seen all sorts of “special effects.” While everyone else covered their noses and recoiled—even those who stayed behind having their faces twisted in disgust—Yun Mu stood calmly by the door. She kept a safe distance to avoid the dripping mess, but since she’d shoved the door hard, it swung wide enough for her to see everything.
The room was a disaster. Filth was smeared everywhere—walls, ceiling, floor. It seemed someone had added a thickening agent to ensure the “substance” stuck to every surface. Along with the waste, there was the faint, iron-like smell of blood. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to make the air even more sickening.
Everything inside had been violently destroyed. Mirrors were shattered, and makeup and powders were dumped across the floor.
The clothes weren’t torn—Interstellar materials in the Cloud World were quite durable—but they had been thrown onto the floor, trampled, and soaked in the mess. No one would ever wear them again, even after a cleaning. Tables and chairs were smashed into splinters.
But the most striking thing was the back wall.
Everything that had been hanging there was gone. In its place, someone had used a thick black paint to brush four massive characters:
“VIXEN, GO DIE.”
As if afraid people wouldn’t notice, the strokes were bold and filled the entire wall. However, the perpetrator clearly hadn’t planned the spacing well; the last character, “Die,” was squeezed into the corner, looking small and cramped—a major stylistic failure.
Yun Mu stroked her chin. Whoever set this up must have put in a lot of effort. What a workout.
“You aren’t angry?” Luo Ling asked, staring at Yun Mu in disbelief. She couldn’t understand why the person at the center of the attack looked so interested. How can I be more furious than the actual victim?
“What’s there to be angry about? It’s not like I haven’t seen this before,” Yun Mu shrugged.
“Yeah, except this is twenty times worse!” Luo Ling rubbed her forehead. Communication was impossible. Yun Mu was no longer a defenseless newcomer; she was a Film Queen! If a photo of this went online, it would be a scandal.
If Luo Ling knew that Yun Mu was currently mentally cataloging the pros and cons of the “decor,” she would have wanted to crack open Yun Mu’s head to see if there was anything but sawdust inside.
“It is quite serious,” Yun Mu said, crossing her arms and tapping her fingers. “Was it like this when you got here?”
“Mmhmm…”
Looking at Luo Ling’s gloomy expression, Yun Mu noticed a familiar figure was missing. Her brow furrowed as she looked at the dripping door frame. “Did Wenwen get caught in the trap?”
“Yes. I caught her just in time, or she would have walked straight into the mess. But she still got splashed. I sent her home to clean up.”
Thinking of her “little rabbit” being terrified and on the verge of tears, Luo Ling’s hands shook with rage. How dare they target her sweet assistant? If she hadn’t been there, Wenwen would have been covered in it. The psychological trauma alone was enough to make Luo Ling want to hunt down the culprit and beat them senseless.
Yun Mu’s expression finally darkened. Displeasure flashed in her eyes. Her enemies could destroy clothes or makeup—those could be replaced, and an impulsive attack like this only left evidence to be used against them later.
But hurting the people around her was a line she wouldn’t allow anyone to cross. Especially not someone she had worked with for so long.
“Comfort her for me. Tell her to rest and take the day off. You should go home and stay with her, too,” Yun Mu said, patting Luo Ling’s shoulder. “Tell her the set isn’t safe right now; this won’t be the only time. She needs to be careful.” If my guess is right, she thought, this is only the beginning.
“Okay. I understand,” Luo Ling nodded after a silence. She knew Yun Mu was more than capable of handling herself, but she and Wenwen needed to be more vigilant.
“What’s the meaning of this?!” A familiar, furious voice boomed.
Yun Mu turned to see Youying, who had arrived slightly later than usual, striding over with a look of intense concern in her eyes.
