- Outrageous! The Useless Fake Young Master Is Being Forcefully Pampered by a Cold Beauty.
- Chapter 6 - The An Family
Yun Su glanced at An Ran, who was checking her body, and then at the dark muzzles of the guns pointed at him, feeling a sudden surge of eagerness. He wondered if, with his current Level Two Qi Refining cultivation, he would be able to dodge so many bullets.
Just as Zhang Xiong was about to take further action, An Ran, who had joyfully discovered that her meridians were no longer stinging during her practice, stood up and hurriedly called out to stop him.
“Stop! Put those guns away immediately.” An Ran’s eyes were cold as she glared at the bodyguards.
Zhang Xiong blinked in shock. “Miss…”
“That’s enough, Uncle Zhang. I know what I am doing.” She turned to look at Yun Su. “Young Master Yun, I am truly sorry. I did not expect Uncle Zhang to act this way. I apologize to you on his behalf, and I hope you can forgive his rudeness.”
Zhang Xiong looked at his Miss in shock, stunned by her humble and respectful attitude. “Miss, he is only a teenager, how could he possibly “
“Shut up!” An Ran, now somewhat annoyed, snapped coldly.
This scene left the An family’s bodyguard detail completely stunned. Who exactly was this youth before them that he could command such respect from the eldest Miss?
Yun Su looked at Zhang Xiong with the eyes of someone looking at a corpse. A moment later, he said, “Forget it. For your sake, Miss An, I won’t hold it against him. You should have someone bring a pen and paper.”
“Thank you, Young Master Yun.” An Ran let out a sigh of relief and turned to order her men to fetch the supplies. Uncle Zhang had watched her grow up; she did not want him to throw his life away over such a trivial matter.
Yun Su was well aware of An Ran’s underlying thoughts, but he couldn’t be bothered to argue with Zhang Xiong, especially since he had his own agenda. His mind was spinning with plans; An Ran was a cultivation talent only seen once in a century. Even in the Cangyuan Continent, a mutated Ice Spiritual Root was rare, let alone in a world with such thin spiritual energy. If he could trick this little girl into becoming his disciple, the old man Qi Chen would be thrilled to death if he ever found out. Besides, having such a great beauty by his side would certainly be pleasing to the eye!
He tucked away his sleazy little thoughts, maintaining his appearance as an expert. An Ran felt that the youth’s gaze was somewhat strange, but whenever she looked back, she found nothing out of the ordinary.
Crunch, crunch…
Footsteps approached from a distance. Yun Su turned his head and saw three or four people walking toward them.
Yun Su: …Holy crap! No way! Again? Are they from the same faction coming to cause trouble for me? Should I run? Run? Or run?
Just as Yun Su was debating whether or not to flee, he saw An Ran run toward them in delight. “Grandfather! Father! Why did you come out?” She clung to Elder An’s arm, complaining about her father, “Grandfather is not in good health, Father, and you didn’t even try to stop him!”
An Boyuan gave a wry smile. “You know your grandfather’s temperament; how could I possibly stop him?”
Elder An patted his granddaughter’s hand and laughed. “Don’t scold your father; I insisted on coming out myself. How could this old man rest easy hearing that you were in danger out here?”
“There was no danger at all; it was all Uncle Zhang’s misunderstanding. Grandfather, I was planning to go to the Lin family auction, but I met a master the moment I stepped out.” An Ran smiled and turned to look at Yun Su.
Hearing An Ran address the newcomers as grandfather and father, Yun Su breathed a sigh of relief. As long as they weren’t here to cause trouble, it was fine.
“Greetings, Elder An.” Yun Su pushed up his glasses with two fingers, a signature smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
Elder An narrowed his eyes, examining Yun Su with a sharp, piercing gaze. A moment later, he was surprised. According to his bodyguards, this youth was supposed to be a martial artist, but Elder An could not discern the young man’s realm. However, the youth gave him an extraordinary feeling.
“Grandfather, this is the master I mentioned, Young Master Yun Su,” An Ran introduced him.
After a long pause, Elder An laughed. “Young and promising! You are so young, yet your realm is such that even this old man cannot see through it. You must be at least at the Dongming Realm!”
“Dongming Realm!” An Boyuan was shocked. How old was this youth? He was only in his teens, yet he was already a Dongming Realm martial artist? Could he be a genius cultivated by one of the hidden families?
An Ran also looked at Yun Su with surprise. Her grandfather had practiced martial arts for half a lifetime and had only reached the Dongming Realm. How heaven-defying must Young Master Yun’s talent be?
Yun Su was completely baffled. What kind of realm is ‘Dongming’? I’m only at Level Two Qi Refining.
“Ahem, Dongming Realm?” Yun Su asked suspiciously.
Elder An frowned. “You do not know?”
“The Dongming Realm is part of the martial arts hierarchy defined by the Daxia Martial Arts Association. There are nine levels, naming nine realms after the nine stars of the Big Dipper in ancient times: Yinyuan, Dongming, Yaoguang, Kaiyang, Yuheng, Tianquan, Tianji, Tianxuan, and Tianshu.” Elder An sighed. “This old man has practiced martial arts for a lifetime and only reached the Dongming Realm; I have never been able to break through to the Yaoguang Realm.”
After finishing, Elder An shook his head in regret.
So that is how it is. Yun Su lowered his eyes, lost in thought. If my Level Two Qi Refining cultivation corresponds to the Dongming Realm, does that mean Level Three would correspond to the Yaoguang Realm? He shook his head inwardly it couldn’t be that simple. If that were the case, those nine levels would only amount to nine levels of Qi Refining, which was impossible.
Retrieving his thoughts, Yun Su took the paper and pen from a bodyguard and quickly wrote down a prescription, handing it to An Ran. “These are the herbs needed to treat your meridians. My number is at the bottom; call me once you have gathered them, and I will return.”
Elder An took the prescription from An Ran to examine it, then frowned. “Can these herbs really heal my granddaughter’s injuries?”
“Would I lie to you?” Yun Su chuckled. “Not only can I heal Miss An’s injuries, but I can also heal yours, and I can even fix the flaws in the cultivation technique your family practices.”
Yun Su checked his phone, it was past eight in the evening. He still had to go back to cook for Yun Ran and then visit the hospital; he had no time to delay. “That is all. I have matters to attend to, so I shall leave. If you need anything, feel free to contact me via phone.”
With that, Yun Su turned and walked away.
He had only taken two steps when he turned around and walked back. The An family stood where they were, bewildered, wondering why he had returned. Yun Su pushed up his glasses and said sheepishly, “Um, could you give me a ride? It seems impossible to hail a taxi at this hour.” He gestured toward the empty road behind him.
Elder An laughed heartily upon hearing this. “Of course, of course!” He looked from An Ran to Yun Su and said with a smile, “Xiao Ran, you drive Mr. Yun back.”
Yun Su saw right through Elder An’s scheme. He didn’t feel offended, but he couldn’t help but twitch his lip. “Then I shall trouble Miss An.”
An Ran sighed helplessly. “It is no trouble.”
In the car, An Ran said somewhat awkwardly, “Young Master Yun, please do not mind my grandfather. I am the only child in my family, so he is always trying to pick out a capable husband for me.” From the moment they met, although Yun Su’s eyes had flashed with admiration, An Ran could tell he didn’t have those kinds of thoughts toward her, and she wasn’t the type to be delusional. It was just that she found it difficult to go against her grandfather’s wishes.
Yun Su, who was fiddling with his phone in the passenger seat, replied nonchalantly, “It is fine. Besides, I am not interested in women.”
The car screeched to a sudden halt. An Ran stared at Yun Su with wide, astonished eyes, but Yun Su only smiled and said nothing more.
The car restarted and, after twenty minutes of driving, pulled up at the entrance of an alley in the East District. Yun Su got out. “Thank you.” He turned and disappeared into the alley.
An Ran frowned at the messy environment. Young Master Yun lives here?
A moment later, she drove away. The sight of An Ran’s luxury car in the East District had drawn many eyes, and now that it was gone, the older women sitting outside cooling off began to gossip.
Yun Su opened the door to find Yun Ran hunched over the coffee table doing her homework. She was wearing her red-and-white school uniform, her hair tied into two pigtails; her face was soft and baby-fattened, her skin fair, and her eyes large and adorable. Even at such a young age, it was clear she would grow up to be an extraordinary beauty.
Hearing the commotion, Yun Ran turned around and glared at him. “You finally know how to come back? Do you have any idea that I was about to starve to death at home?”
Yun Su guiltily rubbed his nose. “It is my fault, little sister. I promise I will be home earlier next time.”
“There’s a next time?” Yun Ran’s eyes widened in disbelief.
