Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 70
The wind outside the tower swept in through the window, stirring up dust from the floor and swirling it throughout the entire room.
Shen Wenshan’s face was hidden in the darkness, making it difficult to discern.
He suddenly yanked the unconscious Gao Wei up, holding her hostage in front of him, and pulled a sharp dagger from his waist, pressing it against Gao Wei’s neck.
“Now, it’s time you tasted what it’s like to be held in someone’s grip!”
Every word he spoke was laced with a strange sense of excitement.
Shen Jiayan stared intently at Shen Wenshan, terrified that the knife in his hand might accidentally cut Gao Wei, especially since the nearest hospital was an hour’s drive away from this remote location. If Gao Wei sustained a wound, the consequences could be dire if bleeding wasn’t stopped in time.
“Shen Wenshan, let’s make an exchange. I’ll go to your side, you let Gao Wei go.”
Upon hearing Shen Jiayan’s proposal, Shen Wenshan was first stunned, then threw his head back and burst into loud laughter. “You little brat, what an idea! What do you think I wanted you to bring Su Sui here for?”
“I won’t beat around the bush with you either. There’s a bag behind the door; it contains rope and a knife. Tie up Su Sui, and then cut off all the flesh from her body and give it back to me!” Shen Wenshan said slowly, “This way, I can guarantee Gao Wei’s safety.”
Shen Wenshan’s words made Shen Jiayan tremble all over. Furious, she forced the words out through clenched teeth: “Beast!”
She couldn’t imagine how a father could treat his own daughter this way, or how he could bear to subject his daughter to such torment. Was he even human? He was more cruel and inhumane than an animal!
Shen Wenshan’s eyes grew increasingly sinister. He glared fiercely at Shen Jiayan, as if looking at prey.
His voice was eerie and icy, as if coming from the Nine Hells, “What? You can’t bear to? Since you can’t bear it, I’ll make the decision for you!”
Shen Wenshan swung the dagger, about to stab Gao Wei.
“Shen Wenshan,” Su Sui called out, stopping him.
Her tone was indifferent, carrying a hint of contempt. “The only reason you’re doing this is to force Jiayan to choose between me and Gao Wei, to watch her suffer, to watch me suffer, just to satisfy your perverse desire for revenge.”
Shen Wenshan snorted coldly but did not answer.
However, Su Sui knew she had guessed correctly.
“Back then, you used this very method to cripple Shen Wenhao’s legs. I’m not saying this to criticize you, but you’re already old, and you still haven’t improved your methods of threatening people.” Her voice became increasingly disdainful. “By what right do you think I would let myself fall into a position where I’m at your mercy? And by what right do you think the life of a short-lived ghost is more important to Jiayan than me?”
Veins pulsed on Shen Wenshan’s forehead.
Su Sui’s words were like sharp little nails piercing his heart.
“Stop playing tricks with me!” Shen Wenshan tightened his grip on the dagger. “Whether it’s important or not, we’ll find out by trying!” Saying this, he pressed the dagger closer to Gao Wei’s neck, and blood instantly stained her white shirt.
Gao Wei felt a sharp pain in her neck and murmured in a daze, “Ah… it hurts so much.”
Seeing this, Shen Jiayan couldn’t help but clench her fists, about to step forward, but was pulled back by Su Sui. “You take your time. We’re leaving.”
After speaking, Su Sui pulled Shen Jiayan around and gave her a meaningful look.
Shen Jiayan knew this was Su Sui engaging in psychological warfare with Shen Wenshan. If she showed too much concern for Gao Wei right now, the situation for Gao Wei, as well as for them, would become even more dangerous.
So, despite the intense anxiety in her heart, Shen Jiayan could only grit her teeth and remain silent.
“Stop! If you dare to step out of this door, I’ll kill her immediately!” Shen Wenshan roared.
Su Sui stopped, tightened her hold on Shen Jiayan’s hand to reassure her.
Then, she walked forward alone a few steps, stopping when she was only three steps away from Shen Wenshan. She smiled and said, “Don’t worry, if you kill this short lived ghost now, she will be incredibly grateful to you. After all, compared to the torment of illness, a single stab might be the happiest way to die for her.”
As soon as her words fell, Gao Wei’s weak voice followed, “Sister Su Su is right. I would rather be killed by you than slowly die from illness. Uncle, I should thank you!”
These two women, delivering a synchronized performance, made Shen Wenshan’s lips tremble with anger.
Shen Jiayan seized the opportunity and continued, “Oh, and you’ll definitely be paying for murder. When you die, Su Sui and I will set up a Soul Locking Formation for you, preventing your soul from ever reincarnating!”
Her words came out fast, each one striking at the core of Shen Wenshan’s fears. Just the mention of the Soul Locking Formation made his heart clench. He had spent a long time in the business world and naturally believed in such things, especially since he always consulted experts for divination and feng shui before starting any construction.
The Soul Locking Formation, as its name suggested, used the Eight Trigrams to create a magical array that could trap a spirit, preventing it from ever transcending the cycle of reincarnation, consigning it to an eternal abyss.
Shen Wenshan panted, sweat beading on his face, looking utterly wretched. He hadn’t expected these three young women to be completely unafraid of his threats. One unafraid to die, and two who didn’t care they almost gave him a heart attack.
Since that was the case, why waste any more time talking? He would just kill them all!!
A sinister glint flashed in Shen Wenshan’s eyes. He raised the dagger, about to plunge it into Gao Wei.
Just then, Su Sui suddenly reached out, grabbed Gao Wei, and lunged towards Shen Wenshan.
“Ah!!”
The dagger pierced Su Sui’s shoulder without hesitation.
“Thwack!” A muffled sound.
The sharp dagger went right through Su Sui’s shoulder blade, and gushing blood instantly stained her.
“Su Sui!”
“Sister Su Su!!”
Shen Jiayan and Gao Wei cried out simultaneously.
Su Sui’s face was tense, the muscles in her cheeks twitching faintly. Her brow was furrowed, and her face was as pale as paper.
But even so, her arm held tightly around Gao Wei’s waist, with no intention of letting go.
Gao Wei was stunned, blinking as tears streamed down her face. “Sister Su Su! What… why did you save me?”
However, Shen Wenshan, who had completely lost his mind, pulled the dagger out and lunged at Su Sui again. “I’ll kill you, you unfilial wretch!!”
“Ah!!” Gao Wei shrieked again.
Su Sui knew she was too close to dodge. She decisively shoved Gao Wei away and closed her eyes. Just as the dagger was about to hit Su Sui again, Shen Jiayan quickly picked up a wooden stick from the floor and, in the nick of time, smashed it hard onto Shen Wenshan’s arm.
The dagger clattered to the ground.
Shen Wenshan cried out in pain as his hand was struck.
Shen Jiayan picked up the dagger, shielding Su Sui and Gao Wei behind her, and vigilantly stared at Shen Wenshan.
Shen Wenshan clutched his injured arm, glaring at Shen Jiayan with bloodshot eyes. “You little brat!! You’re courting death!!”
As Shen Wenshan spoke, he fumbled behind his waist and produced a police gun.
The moment Shen Wenshan pulled out the gun, Shen Jiayan threw the small knife in her hand towards him. She used the time Shen Wenshan took to dodge to turn and flee down the stairs with Su Sui and Gao Wei.
“Bang!” The bullet shot out.
Shen Wenshan chased after them, “None of you will leave here alive today! I’ll drag you all down with me today!!”
But after just a few steps, a sharp pain shot through his thigh, forcing him to slow down. He looked down and realized that the small knife Shen Jiayan had thrown earlier had cut a 5 centimeter long gash on his leg, and blood was pouring out of the wound ceaselessly.
He ignored it, clutching his leg, and stumbled after them.
The stairs in the tower were narrow, at most wide enough for two people side-by-side, and they were winding and steep, carrying the risk of falling at any moment.
Shen Wenshan chased them ferociously from behind, while Shen Jiayan struggled to escape with Su Sui and Gao Wei.
“Thud!”
Gao Wei accidentally missed a step and began to fall.
Su Sui reacted quickly, immediately grabbing Gao Wei’s arm and pulling her back.
Shen Jiayan looked back and could clearly see Shen Wenshan gaining on them. If they kept running, the three of them would easily become live targets for Shen Wenshan.
She looked around and spotted a doorless room three steps below. She dragged the other two and hid inside, crouching low in the room on the second floor.
They leaned against the wall, holding their breath, intensely watching their surroundings, afraid of someone suddenly appearing.
Just then, Su Sui heard footsteps approaching her ear.
It was Shen Wenshan!
Su Sui’s heart tightened. She whispered, “Go hide in the next room.”
“Mm,” Shen Jiayan responded, keeping an eye on Shen Wenshan’s movements while looking back at Su Sui’s injury. “Su Sui, how are you?”
“I can hold on,” Su Sui gritted her teeth, her expression strained, but she tried hard to appear calm. “Jiayan, find the right moment later, and get Gao Wei to the car.”
“What are you going to do?” Shen Jiayan asked.
Gao Wei looked at Su Sui’s profile, unable to hold back a sob. “Sister Su Su…”
Su Sui forced a smile toward them. “He stabbed me once, so naturally, I have to settle the score with him!” As soon as she finished speaking, there was a loud crash.
Su Sui picked up a stone and smashed the window glass on the other side. Broken shards of glass rained down onto the floor.
Then, she walked out of the dilapidated room, casually picked up a brick, and lunged at Shen Wenshan.
Shen Wenshan hadn’t expected her to attack him proactively. He tried to evade in a hurry, but unfortunately, Su Sui still struck his right arm. The intense pain made him lose his footing, and he stumbled, nearly falling over.
Su Sui pressed her advantage, hitting him several more times with the brick. Shen Wenshan tried to fire his gun, but the distance was too close. With no other choice, he kicked Su Sui, sending her tumbling to the ground.
The force was so great that Su Sui fell hard, unable to get up for a moment. Her knee and ribs hit the floor, causing a dull, throbbing pain.
Shen Wenshan spat a mouthful of blood onto the ground, walked up to Su Sui with the gun, “If I had known you were such a thing, I shouldn’t have sent that slut to the hospital to save you!”
Su Sui lay on the ground, in pain all over. Her fists were clenched, her knuckles white.
She looked up at Shen Wenshan, her voice firm. “Yes, if I had known my father was someone like you, I would rather be reincarnated as a pig or a dog than have your blood flowing in my veins! Because this feeling is truly f***ing disgusting!”
Her words enraged Shen Wenshan. He raised the butt of the gun and smashed it hard against Su Sui’s forehead.
“Ah…” Su Sui let out a muffled groan, and blood trickled down from her temple onto her pale face.
Shen Wenshan’s finger tightened on the trigger, aiming at Su Sui, as if a light press would end her life.
“Since you despise me so much, then go die!”
