Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 69
Shen Jiayan’s emotions gradually stabilized under Su Sui’s continuous appeasement.
But that was only a semblance of calm.
Su Sui’s Stockholm syndrome was like a huge boulder pressing down on her head, making her unable to sleep all night.
Unable to sleep, Shen Jiayan thought about getting up to look up some information, hoping to find a way to cure Su Sui’s condition. However, as soon as she moved,
Su Sui, who was holding her, pulled her closer into her embrace, “Stop thinking, just sleep.”
Shen Jiayan looked up at Su Sui.
Seeing that her eyes were closed, was what she just said a sleep-talking murmur?
This person, really, how could she still be worrying about her even in her sleep.
This made Shen Jiayan’s nose tingle with emotion again.
She reached out and touched Su Sui’s cheek.
Su Sui was leaning entirely against her chest, seemingly afraid that she would slip away halfway, hugging her tightly.
This feeling of being enveloped provided Shen Jiayan with the sense of security she needed. The corners of her lips slowly curled up. Perhaps, Su Sui was right.
What matters is not the reason for falling in love, but the result that the reason brings—whether it is perfect.
For example, Su Sui loved her wholeheartedly, and she would also love Su Sui wholeheartedly.
Having figured this out, Shen Jiayan relaxed considerably, softly said, “Good night, Stinky Treasure,” and slowly closed her eyes.
The night outside was deep, but at this moment, Shen Jiayan found Su Sui’s embrace particularly warm.
The next day, Shen Jiayan woke up to find Su Sui already up.
She got out of bed wrapped in a blanket, rubbing her sleepy eyes, “Why didn’t you wake me up?”
“You were sleeping so soundly, I was afraid to wake you,” Su Sui replied with a smile.
Shen Jiayan’s mouth couldn’t help but curve up.
Yesterday’s gloom had completely dissipated.
She washed up, changed her clothes, and ate breakfast with Su Sui.
She stared at her phone screen while taking a bite of a meat bun from Su Sui’s hand, “These netizens are really interesting.”
“Hmm?” Su Sui used a tissue to wipe her lips.
Shen Jiayan took the tissue, “They call me a wicked hearted madwoman for falling in love with another madwoman. They also call you a masochist.”
“Someone even started a super topic on Weibo to ‘ship’ us as a CP! I say, we could debut directly.”
“….”
Su Sui froze, then couldn’t help but lower her head and laugh.
Shen Jiayan laughed along with her as she continued browsing the Weibo comment section.
【Little Su is just the sickly, masochistic type from novels! So captivating!】
【+1 to the above. Shen Jiayan too! Knowing Su Sui isn’t mentally healthy yet being willing to stay with her and dote on her is truly great!】
【What the heck? Shouldn’t it be that Little Su loved Shen Jiayan to the bone? Not only did she ruin her own father’s company to help her lover, but she also sent her own father to jail! What kind of god-tier lover is this? It’s completely suffocating love!】
【Same as above.】
【+10086 to the above.】
Shen Jiayan scrolled through the comments, getting happier the more she read. She smiled and handed the phone to Su Sui, “Look, they are all praising you.”
Su Sui didn’t take the phone but instead took Shen Jiayan’s hand.
Her gaze towards her showed a hint of seeking favor, “I like hearing you praise me.”
“Oh?” Shen Jiayan tilted her head, “Then how do you want me to praise you?”
Su Sui chuckled lightly, playing with her fingers.
Shen Jiayan’s fingers were slender, fair, and very beautiful, but Su Sui always felt she was a bit thin. However, compared to the strength she used to choke her four years ago, she preferred these hands now.
She gently bit Shen Jiayan’s fingertip, slowly gnawing at it, and mumbled indistinctly, “More than all that… I prefer it when you pin me to the ground and praise me as cheap in my ear.”
Su Sui’s tone was casual, as if discussing the weather.
Yet, it caused ripples in Shen Jiayan’s heart.
She pinched Su Sui’s jaw, meeting her burning gaze, “You really are both slutty and perverted.”
Su Sui leaned in close to the corner of her lips, calling out in a low, husky voice, “Mistress, are you going to punish me now?”
Shen Jiayan’s heart pounded.
She knew that if she didn’t do something now, she would miss out on something.
“Of course, I have to punish you.”
Shen Jiayan’s gaze fell upon Su Sui. Two of Su Sui’s top buttons were undone, revealing her delicate collarbone.
“Mm, then I should be good,” Su Sui smirked, bringing her lips close to Shen Jiayan’s.
She didn’t kiss, nor did she retreat. She maintained a subtle distance, hovering around Shen Jiayan’s lips.
This made Shen Jiayan’s heart itch with longing, so she pinched Su Sui’s neck and kissed her.
“Cough, cough…”
Su Sui let out a few short gasps, followed by a muffled groan, “…Are you trying to murder your wife?”
Shen Jiayan glared at Su Sui.
Su Sui immediately dropped her smile and carefully examined her for two seconds.
Then, she said earnestly, “Jiayan, I want to buy a plot of land overlooking the sea.”
Shen Jiayan was stunned, “A plot of land?”
“I want to be buried with you,” Su Sui’s expression was serious. “When that time comes, we’ll sit on our tombstones and watch the sunrise in the east and the sunset in the west every day. Neither of us will reincarnate.”
Shen Jiayan burst out laughing, “Are you silly?”
Su Sui blinked at her, “Don’t you think it’s romantic?”
Shen Jiayan shook her head, laughing, “It’s creepy. But if you really want to buy one, you definitely need to find a Feng Shui master to choose carefully; you can’t just buy one.”
As they were talking, Su Sui’s phone rang.
She picked it up and saw it was an unknown number. Without much thought, she answered.
The next second, Fu Jing’s voice came through the receiver, “Su Sui! Shen Wenshan escaped and kidnapped Gao Wei!!”
Her voice sounded very anxious, even a little hoarse.
Clearly, she was trying her best to suppress her emotions.
Su Sui frowned, and her expression became solemn.
Seeing her like this, the smile on Shen Jiayan’s face froze, and she stared intently at Su Sui.
Not knowing what was said on the phone, Su Sui’s expression grew increasingly grim.
Su Sui said, “Don’t panic yet. Leave this to the police; it’s best if we don’t get involved right now.”
Just then, her phone rang again.
Shen Jiayan picked up her phone and saw it was a call from Gao Wei. Without hesitation, she answered.
But the voice on the other end wasn’t Gao Wei’s; more accurately, it was Shen Wenshan, who was currently in prison.
It was unclear where he was, but the sound of rushing wind could be heard in his voice.
He said, “You wretched girl, Gao Wei is in my hands. If you want her to live, bring Su Sui and come find me. Otherwise, I’ll kill her.”
“You wouldn’t dare!”
“Hahaha…” Shen Wenshan burst into mocking laughter, “Do you think I wouldn’t dare?”
Shen Jiayan took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.
Shen Wenshan’s voice continued to come through the phone, “I will send you the address shortly. If you dare to call the police, I’ll have this wretched girl be my burial companion immediately!”
After hanging up, Shen Wenshan sent the address to Shen Jiayan.
Shen Jiayan hung up, looked at the address, and then turned to look at Su Sui.
Su Sui felt her gaze and looked up at her, her eyes shifting slightly, “What’s wrong?”
Shen Jiayan hesitated for a moment but decided to be honest with Su Sui, “Shen Wenshan escaped. He kidnapped Gao Wei and demanded that I bring you to him.”
She had expected Su Sui to stop her, and had even prepared to go alone to rescue Gao Wei, even if it meant a falling out with Su Sui.
What she didn’t expect was that Su Sui would let out a long sigh, take her hand, and say, “Then I’ll go with you.”
Shen Jiayan froze. She stared blankly at Su Sui, speechless for a while, “Su Sui…”
“Don’t think about it,” Su Sui said matter-of-factly. “Where my wife goes, I have to follow. Besides, didn’t Shen Wenshan say it? He asked you to bring me. And, you’re no match for Shen Wenshan.”
“You…” Shen Jiayan’s mouth opened and closed, wanting to say something to refute, but she couldn’t utter a single word.
Because she genuinely couldn’t argue.
Dealing with Shen Wenshan, she truly wasn’t capable; after all, she worried too much and would easily be controlled by him. Su Sui, on the other hand, was the exact opposite. Su Sui was calm enough, meticulous in thought, skilled at scheming, and even more ruthless than Shen Wenshan.
With Su Sui accompanying her, perhaps they could indeed rescue Gao Wei safely.
Shen Wenshan was very cunning. To prevent them from calling the police midway, he set a time limit of half an hour to arrive. He specifically used Gao Wei’s phone to video call Shen Jiayan, monitoring their every move.
When Shen Jiayan and Su Sui arrived at the agreed location, they discovered it was a high tower standing on the edge of a cliff, the outer perimeter of the tower enclosed by iron railings.
The surroundings were overgrown with weeds, and the gray walls looked exceptionally cold under the gloomy weather. A faint smell of mildew and decaying earth permeated the air, making it feel like they were in the wilderness.
They walked hand in hand into the tower. The interior was dimly lit, covered with sand, gravel, and dust. The walls were even more dilapidated. Climbing up the broken steps, they could see nothing but towering cliffs outside through the gaps the only place to stand was the peak, and below was an abyss.
Seeing this, Shen Jiayan was startled.
Shen Wenshan probably intended to take them down with him today; otherwise, he wouldn’t have chosen this place to meet.
Su Sui sensed her unease, squeezed her hand tightly, and turned to say to her gently, “Don’t be afraid, I’m here.”
Shen Jiayan bit her lip and nodded, “Mm.”
The two continued up the stairs. On the fourth floor, there was a rusty door. Pushing it open, a wave of damp mildew hit them.
“Squeak…”
The sound of wood rubbing against wood was particularly piercing in the narrow, cramped space, making one’s hair stand on end.
Shen Jiayan couldn’t help but hug her arms, shivering.
Su Sui, however, remained composed, leading Shen Jiayan into the room calmly.
Shen Wenshan, wearing a prisoner’s uniform, was already waiting there.
Beside him, Gao Wei was tied up with ropes, thrown on the ground, looking utterly wretched. Judging by her state, she seemed to have fallen unconscious.
Seeing the two arrive, Shen Wenshan stood up from his chair. Wearing his prison garb, his figure was thin and withered.
“Not bad, you arrived 5 minutes early,” Shen Wenshan’s tone was casual, as if he wasn’t taking this negotiation seriously at all.
“As the saying goes, every wrong has its perpetrator,” Shen Jiayan said with a cold smile, “Why did you kidnap Gao Wei?”
“Heh heh, what for?” Shen Wenshan squinted his eyes, then suddenly burst into maniacal laughter, “When you ruined my company and sent me to jail, you should have expected this day to come.”
