Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 63
The man’s mouth was stubborn at first no matter how much Shen Jiayan threatened him, he refused to utter a single word.
However, Shen Jiayan was patient. After letting him hold out for three hours,
she had Ah Ji suspend the man from a rope about 5 meters in the air, pretending she was going to let him fall to his death.
The man was already blindfolded, and under the cover of darkness, his fear was infinitely magnified. Before he lasted even 10 seconds, he finally couldn’t bear it anymore and immediately screamed, “Please, I’ll talk! I’ll tell you everything! Please stop torturing me.”
Shen Jiayan raised an eyebrow: They should have cooperated earlier; what a waste of time.
She sat on a chair, elegantly crossing her legs, while the man hanging in mid-air wailed and begged for mercy, a slight smile playing on her lips.
“I can let you go, but you must answer my questions truthfully.”
Half an hour later,
the man spilled everything he knew, and Shen Jiayan had Ah Ji and the others send him, along with the evidence of being followed, to the police station.
Shen Jiayan took Gao Wei back home.
Gao Wei yawned, “Sister, I’m going to sleep now.”
“Mm.” Shen Jiayan nodded and then returned to her own room to sit at her dressing table, waiting for Ah Ji’s message on her phone.
Although the man’s head was covered the entire time, Shen Jiayan was still a bit worried about Ah Ji and the others. After all, the way the matter was handled was, in some way, inappropriate. If it implicated Ah Ji and the others, she would feel bad.
After waiting for about 10 minutes, Ah Ji called her back and said, “The person has been handed over to the police. Since the man didn’t suffer any substantial physical harm, they only gave statements, were lectured and educated, and then released.”
Hearing this, the worry in Shen Jiayan’s heart subsided.
She lay on the bed, closing her eyes to ponder the information she had obtained from the man.
Shen Jiayan was not surprised to learn that the man was sent by Fu Jing to watch Gao Wei. However, there was one thing she couldn’t figure out.
During the time they were abroad, Fu Jing often took a deaf-mute elderly man to the Shen family villa, staying for over an hour each time.
Having lived in the Shen family home for 23 years, she had never seen any elder in the Shen family who was both deaf and mute. So, who exactly was this old man, and what was he doing at the Shen family villa?
Shen Jiayan vaguely felt that the situation was not simple, yet she couldn’t grasp any clue.
Could it be…
Shen Jiayan suddenly opened her eyes.
She recalled that when she was in elementary school, Shen Wenshan’s health was poor. He saw many Western doctors and took a lot of medicine, but his condition didn’t improve; instead, it got worse, to the point where he didn’t even have the strength to get out of bed. This situation persisted until Fu Jing brought a deaf-mute Chinese medicine doctor to their door, and only then did it end.
Could it be that eccentric old man with superb medical skills?
If it really was him, then Shen Wenshan’s illness… could it have already been cured?
Thinking of this, Shen Jiayan’s heart skipped a beat.
Shen Jiayan knew Shen Wenshan’s nature: insidious, ruthless, unyielding in achieving his goals, and always retaliating for any grievance. If his illness had recovered, the first person he would target would definitely be Su Sui, who caused him to be in that state.
Shen Jiayan immediately got out of bed, sent a message to the Director Mom/Foster Mothe asking her to look after Gao Wei for a few days. She changed her clothes and prepared to go find Su Sui.
She drove overnight to M City.
The next morning, Su Sui went to work as usual. When she walked into the company, her assistant, Xiao Sun, greeted her with a distressed expression. “President Su, the Chairman of Shen Group rejected our proposal this morning.”
“Rejected?” Su Sui frowned deeply. “The reason?”
Xiao Sun lowered his head and stammered, “He said there was no reason.”
“No reason?” Su Sui turned her head and stared intently at Xiao Sun. “Did you not ask, or did the other party not say?”
“I asked,” Xiao Sun quickly replied. “Chairman Shen not only said there was no reason, but also said… also said…”
“Said what?”
“The other party also said…” Xiao Sun raised his head, cautiously observing Su Sui’s expression, and continued, “He said that if you want to know the reason, you should go ask him yourself.”
Su Sui narrowed her eyes, her expression instantly turning cold.
“President Su, what should we do next?”
Su Sui curled her lips. “What else can we do? Since he said that, of course, I have to pay him a personal visit.”
“Ah?”
Su Sui patted Xiao Sun on the shoulder, her tone relaxed. “Go about your business. I’m heading to Shen Group.”
She wanted to see what trick Shen Shihao was up to!
As Su Sui was driving, her phone rang.
She tapped her Bluetooth headset lightly and answered the call.
The private detective said, “Boss, the Shen Jiayan you asked me to keep an eye on left H City alone last night.”
Su Sui’s brows suddenly furrowed. She left alone, without even taking Gao Wei?
Strange.
“Where did she go?” Su Sui asked.
“M City,” the private detective reported.
“M City?” Su Sui pursed her lips. “Find out why she came to M City.”
“Yes, Boss.”
“Also, don’t lose her, and protect her as much as possible.”
“Boss, please don’t worry. After all, we are dedicated to…”
Before the other party could finish speaking, Su Sui directly hung up the phone.
She looked out the window and fell into deep thought.
They had clearly agreed not to return to M City, to completely leave her world. So why did Shen Jiayan suddenly come back?
Did she run into some trouble? Or perhaps she couldn’t let go of her?
Su Sui’s heart stirred slightly, but she then recalled her plan and retracted her thoughts.
No matter what, Shen Jiayan should not have returned during this period, much less appear in M City.
What was Shen Jiayan’s purpose for coming to M City?
As Su Sui pondered, she drove to Shen Group. Just as she arrived downstairs at the company, Su Sui noticed a flashy red sports car parked nearby.
That was Shen Shihao’s vehicle.
It seemed he was indeed waiting for her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dragged this frivolous second-generation rich kid out so early.
Su Sui stepped out in her high heels and walked toward the company.
Along the way, many employees turned to look at her, whispering amongst themselves.
Su Sui didn’t know what they were discussing, nor was she interested in finding out.
She headed straight for the Chairman’s office. As soon as she pushed the office door open, Su Sui felt a dazzling ray of sunlight pouring in.
She squinted slightly and surveyed the surroundings.
She found Shen Shihao sitting on a sofa chair, crossing his legs, casually scrolling through the news while holding a cup of coffee.
His gaze was fixed on the computer screen, but his peripheral vision caught sight of the woman entering.
She was wearing a white blazer, black trousers, and sharp black high heels, appearing competent and sharp overall, exuding a unique mature feminine charm.
However, her expression was too calm and indifferent, making this maturity completely lack femininity.
Compared to someone like Su Sui, he preferred soft and delicate women.
“I thought you wouldn’t dare to come,” Shen Shihao said with a light laugh.
Su Sui stood at the door, looking down at Shen Shihao.
“Oh? Why wouldn’t I dare?” Her voice was cold, as sharp as if quenched with ice, a smile playing on her lips, showing no fear of him whatsoever.
Shen Shihao put down his coffee cup, lazily stretched out both arms, leaned back in his chair, and smiled faintly, “I guessed.”
Shen Shihao smiled, stood up from the chair, walked around the desk, and approached Su Sui. “After all, your uncle being paralyzed in bed was all orchestrated by you.”
Su Sui raised an eyebrow.
What an idiot, using such a crude tactic to trick her.
“Shen Shihao, framing someone requires evidence. As I recall, you bribed the driver,” she paused, “and almost caused his death?”
A hint of mockery flashed in Su Sui’s eyes as she continued, “But then again, you probably wouldn’t dare do such a thing yourself, as the one who goes in would be you.”
Her tone was casual, but every word was pointed, causing the smile on Shen Shihao’s face to gradually freeze.
Shen Shihao suddenly grabbed the collar of Su Sui’s jacket, his eyes shifting nervously, and he lowered his voice, “That was because you coerced and tempted me.”
Was he planning to drag her down with him? But what was the point of this act?
“Coercion and temptation?” Su Sui scoffed, looking up at him. “That’s quite a label to pin on someone. If that’s your stance, then I might have to hire a lawyer to sue you for defamation.”
Shen Shihao’s gaze turned sinister, gripping Su Sui’s collar tightly.
He gritted his teeth and said, “Su Sui, don’t mistake my courtesy for weakness!”
“Slap!”
But Su Sui retaliated with a slap across his face. “Shen Shihao, you better remember who you are talking to.”
“You…” Shen Shihao was consumed by anger, raised his fist, and made a move to strike Su Sui.
“Shen Shihao.” Shen Wenshan pushed open the inner cabinet door and slowly walked out from within. “Have you made enough of a scene?”
When Su Sui saw the man who had been paralyzed for nearly a year standing before her again, she finally understood who Shen Shihao’s performance just now was for.
Shen Wenshan glanced at Su Sui, then swept his eyes over Shen Shihao.
Shen Shihao glared at her hatefully. “Uncle, it was Su Sui, it really was her who induced me!”
As soon as he finished speaking, Su Sui slapped Shen Shihao across the face again.
“Mr. Shen.” Su Sui’s gaze turned to Shen Wenshan. “You truly surprise me. I thought you were crippled. I didn’t expect you to still be able to stand here.”
Hearing this, Shen Shihao couldn’t help but interject, “Su Sui! He is your father!”
“Get out!” Shen Wenshan glared at him. “Your input is not required when my daughter and I are talking.”
“Uncle…” Shen Shihao still wanted to say something.
But he was harshly rebuked by Shen Wenshan: “Get out!”
“I…” Shen Shihao’s lips moved, but he ultimately turned and left.
Once Shen Shihao was far away, Su Sui withdrew her gaze.
She looked at Shen Wenshan and turned to leave.
“Jiayan,” Shen Wenshan called out to her. “You truly are my daughter, ruthless like me.”
“Tell me, why didn’t I think of paralyzing Yang Xinjie and keeping her at home back then? That way, she would never be able to leave me.”
Hearing this, Su Sui’s hand tightened abruptly; she clenched her fist, restraining herself from trembling.
She took a deep breath, trying to keep her voice steady. “You didn’t ask me here for me to listen to this nonsense, did you?”
“This personality of yours is also like mine!” Shen Wenshan looked at her with approval. “Since my precious daughter asks, I, as her father, won’t beat around the bush either.
