Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 4
Shen Jiayan heard it clearly, extremely clearly.
Her chest felt as if a black hole had been blown open by the news.
It was very painful so painful that she couldn’t distinguish whether it was her fragile stomach acting up, or the heart that yearned for paternal love being tormented.
Her hands tightly gripped Shen Shihao’s collar, her fingertips white, her eyes streaming with tears.
She continuously repeated, “No, Dad wouldn’t do this to me. I’m his daughter, he wouldn’t…”
Shen Shihao looked at Shen Jiayan, his eyes devoid of sympathy, instead filled with disgust and malicious pleasure. He abruptly pushed Shen Jiayan away.
Su Sui, who was also in shock, hurriedly stepped forward and firmly sheltered Shen Jiayan in her embrace.
Shen Shihao patted the collar that Shen Jiayan had just grabbed and pulled, and coldly muttered, “Bad luck.”
Looking up, he saw the expressionless Su Sui, whose eyes, however, concealed a chilling gaze when looking at him. It made his heart involuntarily feel a sense of dread.
Shen Shihao had always been wary of this woman, favored by his uncle, after all, she was someone who could make an employer willingly acknowledge her as a goddaughter and even transfer shares to her.
He wondered how many people in today’s society possessed such means.
He certainly couldn’t do it.
Shen Shihao composed the scrutiny in his eyes and led his group to the racetrack.
After they left, Su Sui finally retracted the killing intent in her eyes.
She carefully led Shen Jiayan to the VIP exclusive private lounge, and sent out all the service staff inside the lounge.
Then, she took a thick blanket and covered Shen Jiayan, who was curled up in the corner.
Her movements were gentle, afraid of startling the person still deeply trapped in a nightmare.
“Are you pitying me?”
The person who was originally mumbling with her head lowered now lifted her tear-streaked face to look at Su Sui.
Her eyes were red, and she was already sobbing in pain.
Yet, Shen Jiayan remained as proud as a peacock.
And this look of hers happened to shatter Su Sui’s heart. She instinctively tried to wipe away the tears on Shen Jiayan’s face but was dodged by the other party turning her head away.
“Sure enough.” Shen Jiayan chuckled softly.
She wiped away her tears with her sleeve and stood up. “I don’t need your pity.” Then, she looked down at Su Sui, who was still squatting in front of her: “I just need you to help me with two things. Will you?”
Shen Jiayan knew that whenever she made a request, Su Sui would never refuse, and this time was no different.
Su Sui’s lips slightly curved, and she answered almost instantly without any consideration, “I will.”
Shen Jiayan smiled, but her smile was mixed with tears.
The person who was whole-heartedly good to her had snatched away the most important person in her life.
How truly ironic!
She stopped smiling, slowly squatted down, and almost collapsed into Su Sui’s arms, listening to the heartbeat in her chest.
Shen Jiayan: “I want you to get into Shen Wenshan’s bed and make him marry you.”
The moment the words fell, Shen Jiayan clearly heard Su Sui’s heartbeat noticeably quicken.
She, however, sneered, lifted her face, restrained Su Sui’s chin, pulled her close until their lips were almost touching, and whispered, “And then be intimate with me every night!”
Just as she was about to kiss her, Su Sui refused her for the first time: “I’m sorry, I can’t do that.”
“What did you say?” Shen Jiayan was somewhat incredulous.
“I said I can’t do that.” Su Sui maintained her calm and detached demeanor, “I can do anything for you, help you take revenge on anyone. But getting into Uncle Shen’s bed is the one thing I can’t do.”
“Slap!”
Su Sui’s answer unsurprisingly earned her a slap from Shen Jiayan.
“Liar! Didn’t you say you would always listen to me? Why not, why!” Shen Jiayan paused, “I know, this is your true motive. All that ‘only listen to me,’ ‘only be good to me,’ ‘only protect me’ is all rubbish! You just want to replace me as Shen Wenshan’s daughter!”
“I’m not!” Su Sui said: “I never thought of snatching Uncle Shen’s paternal love from you, because I…”
But the following words were suppressed on her tongue, unable to be spoken.
Su Sui’s hesitant look in Shen Jiayan’s eyes, on the contrary, seemed to indicate a clear conscience of guilt.
The hatred in her eyes tightly enveloped Su Sui. She stood up, dropped a sentence: “I will destroy you, destroy Shen Wenshan, destroy everything. You all just wait,” and then left the lounge.
Su Sui looked at Shen Jiayan’s receding back, her heart felt as if a large piece had been violently dug out.
She knew her temper chasing after her now would only make things worse. All she could do now was silently pray that Shen Jiayan would give up that terrifying idea.
She was afraid that on the day the truth was revealed, Shen Jiayan would regret, would blame herself, and might even…
Thinking of this, Su Sui shook her head.
No, she wouldn’t let that matter be exposed to the light; that day would never come. However, the offense Jiayan suffered today, she must help her get justice for it.
Thinking this, Su Sui’s lips curved into a smile.
She stood up, her movements light and elegant. She took out the Bluetooth headset from her pocket and played the recently popular song “The Song of Paradise Island.”
Accompanied by the music, she tore her sleeve and used this as an excuse to ask the staff for a needle, which she tucked between her fingers.
After preparing, Su Sui walked to the racetrack outside the venue.
She immediately spotted Shen Shihao and his female companion riding a bay horse together, taking a leisurely walk on the track.
She twisted her neck, smiled, and approached with a harmless expression, “Mr. Shen, Jiayan asked me to come and thank you for her.”
Shen Shihao glanced at her indifferently, then focused his attention on his female companion: “Thank me for what? I will prepare a generous gift later.” He looked at Su Sui: “Of course, for you too.”
Su Sui remained poker faced : “Please hold the reins tightly, Mr. Shen.”
“What?” Shen Shihao didn’t understand.
But in the next second, the horse bolted like an arrow released from the bowstring, suddenly galloping out.
Shen Shihao momentarily couldn’t care about the beauty in his arms, he could only tightly grip the reins and try to stabilize the horse. But a horse that had been pricked by a sharp needle was not so easy to calm down.
The startled horse bucked off the beauty and carried the distressed Shen Shihao, running wildly on the racetrack.
The instigator of all this merely smiled faintly before leaving the scene.
Shen Jiayan returned home and locked herself in her room.
For three whole days, she neither ate nor drank, nor spoke a word.
A wooden door separated her and Su Sui.
During this time, separated by the door, she could clearly hear the occasional sound of Su Sui turning a page, Su Ma’s low pitched cursing directed at Su Sui, and the sound of various colored origami cranes being slipped under the door crack.
Shen Jiayan leaned against the door, holding her laptop, looking at the manuscript she had personally typed out over the past three days.
The content was fabricated based on the secretly taken photos of Shen Wenshan and Su Sui when they were alone.
As long as this manuscript, plus the photo materials, was handed over to a gossip media person. Relying on the power of public opinion, even if Shen Wenshan was reluctant, it was highly likely he would drive the Su mother and daughter out of the Shen family.
Thinking of this, Shen Jiayan hesitated again.
She looked at the origami cranes at her feet and casually picked one up to look at it.
In the sunlight, there seemed to be handwriting on the thin paper.
Shen Jiayan unfolded one slowly, and the bold handwriting, completely contrary to Su Sui’s persona, only contained the safety word that only the two of them understood.
“Encounter.”
It was somewhat ridiculous to think that when she first gave Su Sui the safety word, she had fantasized about the other party using that exquisite face to constantly use the safety word to call a stop.
But in reality, the cessation of the malicious pleasure always stemmed from her own exhaustion.
Now, Su Sui was using these two words here, using them at this time to beg for her forgiveness. It seemed Su Sui was truly scared, and this fear was solely because of her self-torment, her indifference.
Shen Jiayan looked at the words on the note, and her lips curled up: “At least, Su Sui’s claim that she cares about me is real.”
She crumpled the note into a ball, tossed it aside, put away her laptop, stood up, and walked out the door.
Upon opening the door, Shen Jiayan saw Su Sui sitting on the floor reading a book.
Hearing the door open, Su Sui looked up, meeting her gaze, and curved her lips, which were also dry and peeling: “Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?”
She spoke and was about to get up, perhaps having sat for too long, Su Sui’s movement to stand up seemed somewhat stiff and awkward.
Just as Shen Jiayan was hesitating whether to go up and help her, a noisy sound of footsteps came from downstairs, mixed with Su Ma’s voice.
“Mr. Shen, this matter definitely has nothing to do with Miss Jiayan. It must have been Su Sui’s own idea. I’ll teach this brat a good lesson later to vent the anger for the young master.”
Hearing Su Ma’s unfounded words, although Shen Jiayan was unclear about the reason, she understood the underlying meaning even more.
She stood up straight, staring intently at the stairwell.
Soon, the enraged Shen Wenshan, along with Shen Shihao in a cast and bandages, stood in front of Shen Jiayan.
When did he get injured?
“Dad,” Shen Jiayan softly called out.
Almost simultaneously, a heavy slap landed on her face.
Shen Jiayan had already starved herself for three days how could she have the strength to withstand Shen Wenshan’s slap in his fury? Her footing was unstable, and she fell directly to the floor, her head hitting the doorknob.
Immediately, a loud buzzing sound exploded in her mind, mixed with Shen Wenshan’s angry shouts.
Shen Wenshan: “Don’t call me Dad, I don’t have a malicious daughter like you!”
He spoke, raised his hand, and prepared to slap her again, but his wrist was simultaneously grabbed by two people.
Su Sui: “Uncle Shen!”
Shen Shihao: “Little Uncle!”
Shen Jiayan held her throbbing head and looked at the two people blocking her. Su Sui’s protection was sincere, while Shen Shihao’s protection was entirely for show.
She couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh.
“You still dare to laugh!” Shen Wenshan seemed to have completely lost his mind, took out his phone from his pocket, and smashed it onto Shen Jiayan: “Look at the good things you’ve done!”
The moment the phone fell, the sound continuously came from the external speaker it was the sound of a whip lashing, and the person wielding the whip in the video was none other than herself, and the other person being beaten was the very Su Sui currently protecting her.
