Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 5
The video on the phone continued to play, but Shen Jiayan was no longer in the mood to watch.
Regardless of the actual reason, Shen Wenshan’s purpose for coming to see her today was undoubtedly to hit her and vent someone else’s anger, perhaps for Su Sui, or perhaps for the injured Shen Shihao.
It didn’t matter who it was for, and the reason was even less important.
At least, she had seen her father.
This way, she would have a chance to tell him in person that she didn’t want to marry and didn’t want to become a sacrifice in a political and business alliance.
Thinking this, Shen Jiayan became exceptionally obedient and knelt before Shen Wenshan: “Dad, I was wrong.”
She crawled on her knees to Shen Wenshan’s feet and tugged at his pant leg: “Dad, you can kill me today. I only beg you, don’t make me marry. I don’t want to, I really don’t want to.”
However, her plea for mercy did not elicit any pity from Shen Wenshan.
A fierce kick landed right on her chest from Shen Wenshan.
The fine, dense pain gradually intensified.
Shen Jiayan could only lie on her side on the floor, clutching her chest and gasping for air.
And the first person to rush to her was still Su Sui.
Su Sui: “Where does it hurt? Tell me.”
Shen Wenshan: “Not marry?! I haven’t settled the score with you for hitting someone and instigating Xiao Su to injure someone.”
Su Sui: “Don’t be afraid, I will protect you. I will definitely protect you.”
Shen Wenshan: “How dare you make demands to me. You eat mine, wear mine, use mine. I raised you for a full 23 years, what right do you have to make demands to me!”
Their two voices intertwined, constantly drilling into Shen Jiayan’s ears.
Especially Shen Wenshan’s furious roar, which was astonishingly loud, as if it was about to overturn the entire villa.
Shen Wenshan: “If you don’t marry, then get out of the Shen family! I, Shen Wenshan, don’t raise idle, useless people!”
Hearing this, Shen Jiayan’s heart shattered with a clang.
So in Dad’s eyes, she was nothing but an idle, useless person…
Shen Shihao feigned blocking Shen Wenshan.
“Uncle, Jiayan is still young and doesn’t know any better, so please don’t hold it against her. Besides, there’s no evidence that Jiayan definitely instructed Su Sui to do what happened that day when I fell off the horse. Please calm down first; it’s not too late to ask clearly.”
The moment his voice fell, a woman’s voice overshadowed him.
“Do we still need to ask? My foolish son, do you think everyone is as kind-hearted as you are?”
The person who said this was Shen Shihao’s mother, Fu Jingjing, who was also Shen Wenshan’s sister in law and Shen Jiayan’s aunt.
Even though Shen Jiayan’s view was completely blocked by Su Sui, she could still feel the other person’s malicious gaze trying to devour her alive.
Fu Jingjing: “Wenshan, the fact that Jiayan could do such a thing is because you lacked discipline in the past. Now the group’s funds are facing problems, and if another scandal erupts at this critical moment…”
She spoke half a sentence, observed Shen Wenshan’s expression, and then lightly brushed over the topic.
“In short, if you keep indulging her, she might cause a huge mess later. By then, it will once again implicate your brother in selling houses and land to clean up your mess.”
Shen Jiayan wanted to laugh after hearing all this.
Her uncle was selling houses and land when she hadn’t even been born.
To be precise, her parents didn’t even know each other then.
But Shen Jiayan had heard this story so many times her ears were almost calloused.
At that time, Shen Wenshan had made a small fortune in the real estate sector, but he was unfortunate enough to meet a swindler who completely siphoned off all his liquid assets.
Shen Jiayan didn’t know the specifics, but just when Shen Wenshan was facing bankruptcy, it was her elder brother who sold his houses and land to pull the current Shen Group back from the brink of collapse.
In gratitude for this brotherly bond, after becoming successful, Shen Wenshan not only repaid him threefold but also gave his brother 10% of the group’s shares, and naturally held his sister in law in great respect.
Before, this sister in law’s open and covert gossiping and sowing discord between the couple led to her mother’s depression and suicide.
Unfortunately, even her mother’s death did not make the malicious sister in law repent.
Instead, she escalated her slander, saying her mother was shameless, saying she wasn’t of the Shen family lineage, and even plotting for Shen Wenshan to use a paternity test to completely kick Shen Jiayan out of the Shen family.
This happened during her freshman year of college.
That day, the villa, usually so deserted with only her and Su Sui’s mother and daughter, was crowded with many people.
Some she knew, some she didn’t, and there was even a notary public present.
In their presence, Shen Wenshan took her blood and submitted it to a testing agency.
Everyone present at the time was extremely nervous. Even Su Mama was so nervous she spilled her teacup several times.
But Shen Jiayan’s state of mind was surprisingly stable.
She firmly believed she was Shen Wenshan’s daughter and that this result would help clear her mother’s reputation.
Indeed, the fact was as Shen Jiayan had thought: the 99% parental relationship on the appraisal report slapped everyone present in the face.
Shen Jiayan still remembers the shock and disbelief on Shen Wenshan’s face, the unwillingness of her uncle’s family, and Su Mama’s dazed expression.
Thinking back carefully, it seemed like Su Sui was the only one absent that day. Only that night, she noticed a long, thin cut on Su Sui’s finger, and she was exceptionally uncharacteristic as she hugged her and said: “I will never take anything from you in this life.”
At this thought, Shen Jiayan felt a strange sense of unease, though she couldn’t pinpoint exactly what was odd.
Shen Jiayan looked at the back in front of her, even wanting to ask Su Sui, who was always by her side, where she had gone that day.
“Xiao Su, move aside.”
Shen Wenshan’s voice interrupted Shen Jiayan’s thoughts.
“No.”
Su Sui’s voice was firm as a rock, making Shen Wenshan somewhat exasperated: “You…”
“Wenshan, it’s not like your sister in law is lecturing you.” Fu Jingjing walked up to the two of them from behind, sizing up Su Sui, who was standing in the way, “For an ill-mannered thing like this, talking is useless.”
Following her words, Fu Jingjing raised her hand, intending to slap Su Sui.
But her hand did not land on Su Sui’s face instead, it was tightly grasped by a slender hand, rendering her wrist immobile.
“Shen Jiayan!”
“She’s mine, you have no right to touch her.”
M City People’s Hospital VIP Ward.
The mist sprayed by the humidifier mingled with the sunlight that sneaked through the glass window, forming a small rainbow.
Shen Jiayan leaned against the pillow, covered in bruises, staring at it with nearly empty eyes.
She raised her right hand, which was wrapped in thick gauze, trying to grasp the ray of rainbow, but all she got was a heart wrenching pain.
She cautiously tucked her right hand under the quilt in defeat, her gaze falling again on the pile of gifts and bouquets stacked almost mountain high at the foot of the bed.
These were all sent by Shen Wenshan’s subordinates, business partners, and her friends. They said:
“Get a good rest and take your medicine on time.”
“Don’t worry, these injuries won’t leave scars.”
Yet, not a single person asked her how she got hurt or why her injuries were so severe.
They went through the motions, and Shen Jiayan also went through the motions with them.
As soon as visiting hours were over, the ward returned to its tranquil state, thereby reawakening the curses lingering in her mind.
“Shen Jiayan! Shut up!”
“The Shen family is not for you to dictate to!”
“How dare you even fight back.”
“If she marries with such disrespect for her elders, wouldn’t it be a disgrace to our Shen family? Wenshan, hit her, hit her until she dies!”
Every word spoken by her father and aunt made Shen Jiayan feel suffocated.
Who would have thought that the glamorous eldest daughter of the Shen family in the eyes of outsiders was actually living a life worse than a dog?
Shen Jiayan pulled out the needle from the back of her hand and walked to the mountain of gifts. With a gentle push of her finger, the gifts fell over like dominoes.
She stepped on them barefoot and wantonly…
When Su Sui, who had finished communicating with the doctor, pushed open the door.
The ward was already a mess.
Exquisite bouquets had scattered into petals covering the floor, mixed with shattered expensive cosmetics, and even beautiful haute couture dresses had been reduced to tattered, soiled rags beneath Shen Jiayan’s feet.
Shen Jiayan, dressed in a hospital gown, her long hair disheveled, knelt on the floor, using a shard of glass to scratch an expensive limited-edition handbag.
Shen Jiayan heard the sound of the door opening and looked up.
Su Sui was wearing a white T-shirt and light blue jeans, her long hair neatly tied back, a gauze bandage wrapped around her forehead, and a thin, long scratch across her cheek.
Shen Jiayan couldn’t recall how Su Sui got hurt, only remembering the scene of her looking utterly insane that day.
Bright red blood stained half her face, but she was only focused on pinning Fu Jingjing to the ground, grabbing her head, and violently smashing it against the floor.
In that moment, Shen Jiayan felt Su Sui was incredibly beautiful, exactly what people referred to as:
A beauty who disregards the lives of others.
In a trance, Su Sui was already in front of her.
Her eyes held nothing but heartache, and more of it, for her.
Shen Jiayan’s lips subconsciously curved into a faint smile, as if nothing had happened.
Su Sui cupped her hands, which were covered in blood, and examined them closely.
Fortunately, no bones were broken.
“Wait a moment, I’ll get iodine and bandages.”
But Shen Jiayan held her back, using the blood from her fingertip to trace her eyebrows, nose bridge, and finally stopping at her lips.
Her gaze seemed to say: She also wants to be like her, protected by Dad unconditionally.
As her fingertip slid across the skin, her finger was encased in warmth, and it began to be licked.
A dense, numbing sensation, like an electric current, gradually pierced into Shen Jiayan’s brain from her nerve endings, causing her to swallow.
She looked down at her, their eyes meeting.
Su Sui, kneeling on the floor, was like a pet cat basking in the afternoon sun, eagerly trying to please its owner.
Shen Jiayan stroked the top of the other person’s head; the hair under her palm was smooth and silky, feeling very comfortable.
She closed her eyes contentedly.
Su Sui, however, said: “You are good as you are, you don’t need to change anything.”
Having her thoughts seen through so easily.
Shen Jiayan opened her eyes, clutched the long hair in her palm, and yanked it back abruptly.
In the sunlight, Su Sui’s slender neck glowed white, and the blue veins hidden beneath the skin pulsed slightly with her heartbeat.
She bit down directly on the vein.
She didn’t bite hard, nor too lightly, but for Su Sui’s already fair skin, a bite like this was enough to leave a deep red mark.
Su Sui didn’t make a sound, but her eyes had lost their usual coolness, becoming like those of a crazy, bewitching succubus.
Her hands tightly gripped Shen Jiayan’s waist, letting the other vent the resentment in her heart, yet refusing to utter a single sound.
She wanted more, more…
Even though Shen Jiayan’s teeth were gritting audibly.
Su Sui still felt it wasn’t enough, the longing in her heart was always just a tiny bit short, and she even greedily wanted other things.
For example: Shen Jiayan’s lips, Shen Jiayan’s fingertips, Shen Jiayan’s…
Following her thoughts, Shen Jiayan’s hand clamped down on her most vulnerable, softest spot, squeezing hard without any warning.
“Ah” Su Sui cried out in pain, furrowing her brow.
Only then did Shen Jiayan release her mouth. Satisfied, she looked at the purplish red tooth mark left on Su Sui’s neck and whispered: “You’re right. I’m fine, no need to change. They are the ones who need to change.”
