Obsessive Love, The Possessive Real Young Lady - Chapter 25
That was Shen Jiayan’s voice.
Even though the voice sounded a bit hoarse, it was indeed Shen Jiayan’s voice.
She was back; she had come to find her.
Filled with joy, Su Sui squeezed through the hole in the wall and reached the other side. Not only did she not see Shen Jiayan, but she was suddenly surrounded by several bodyguards.
“Move aside!”
The group acted as if they were deaf, standing motionless.
“Get lost!!” Su Sui bent down, picked up a wooden stick from the ground, and tried to scatter the group. However, the more she struggled, the tighter the bodyguards held her.
“Miss, for your own safety, you should go back,” Assistant Li emerged from the shadows and, with a look, coordinated with the bodyguards.
Facing the well trained bodyguards, after a brief struggle, Su Sui completely lost the ability to move on her own.
She could only be passively dragged and pulled back by the bodyguards and then sent back to her room on the second floor.
Su Sui stared at Assistant Li in front of her through gritted teeth, “Where is Shen Jiayan? Where is she?!”
“I’m sorry,” Assistant Li replied expressionlessly, “Mr. Shen ordered that you must be confined to your room tonight and not allowed to go out.”
Assistant Li turned to leave.
Seeing this, Su Sui immediately lunged forward, desperately clinging to the corner of Assistant Li’s clothes. Her nails dug fiercely into his flesh.
“Don’t you dare go! Tell me, where is she?”
Assistant Li frowned but refused to say a word.
“Speak!!” Su Sui roared like a madwoman, “You definitely know where she is! Tell me, where is she?!”
But no matter how angry she became, her whole body trembling, and her eyes bloodshot, Assistant Li would not reveal a single word.
Refusing to speak! Refusing to speak!
Then just die! All of you, die!
Die, all of you!
Su Sui was furious, like a wild beast.
She fiercely grabbed the hair of the much taller Assistant Li and pulled hard. With her other hand, she slashed his face with her sharp nails, drawing blood.
She looked completely insane, ignoring the bodyguards who were pulling at her from all sides.
At this moment, Su Sui had only one thought in her mind:
She would eliminate everyone who stood in her way!
In contrast to the chaos in the villa, the atmosphere in the Lincoln car parked outside the villa was much quieter, but this silence made Gao Wei, dressed in a blue and white hospital gown, uneasy.
She tried her best to shrink into the corner, avoiding the attention of the two people beside her who looked ready to fight at any moment.
“Speak. What did you come back to steal?” Shen Wenshan’s tone was icy and low, and the look in his eyes when directed at Shen Jiayan was one of extreme disgust.
Under that gaze, Shen Jiayan felt the blood in her entire body, even in her heart, turn cold.
Steal?
She had to admit, Shen Wenshan’s choice of word was quite accurate.
She had indeed returned to get something this time.
Something that would allow her to make a comeback, successfully turn the tables, and completely crush Shen Wenshan under her heel.
“Not talking? Then I can only guess,” Shen Wenshan’s voice held a threat, “You want to steal the share certificate for the 15% equity in the Shen Group that fell into Zhang Xiujie’s company’s hands, is that it?”
Shen Jiayan remained silent, but the light flickering in her eyes betrayed her thoughts.
“Then you’re probably going to be disappointed,” Shen Wenshan smiled. He took out a document bag from beside him and placed the share certificate in front of Shen Jiayan. “Because it’s in my hands.”
Shen Jiayan looked at the share certificate in Shen Wenshan’s hand in disbelief.
It was definitely the one she had hidden, and only she knew where she had hidden it. How could Shen Wenshan have found it, and how did he know her plan?
Shen Wenshan sat up straight and elegantly. Even though he was old, he still possessed the refined demeanor of a gentleman. “Speaking of which, I have you to thank. If you hadn’t used Zhang Xiujie’s hand to snatch the project and collect the equity for these 15% of scattered shares, my daughter really wouldn’t have caught the attention of the board members, and my position as Chairman wouldn’t be so stable.”
“What… what do you mean?” Shen Jiayan couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“What do I mean? Heh.” Shen Wenshan chuckled and shook his head. “Do you really think I don’t know about your collaboration with Zhang Xiujie? Don’t you think I know about the tricks played by Fu Jing and her son?”
“You’ve been my daughter for 23 years. Today, I’ll teach you one last lesson.” Shen Wenshan’s voice rose involuntarily, “Those were all just means for me to let things slide and profit from them. If not for that, who would pave the way for my daughter, and who would be her scapegoat!”
“And you, who has stolen her life for 23 years, still want to come back and steal her things.”
“Simply dreaming!”
Shen Jiayan’s fists, hanging by her sides, clenched tightly, her knuckles turning white, the prominent bones showing that her patience had reached its limit.
But Shen Wenshan had no intention of letting her off.
“With your pig brain, you actually think you can use this 15% equity to try and shake my Shen Group! You are just as stupid as your mother, who only deserved a life of misery.”
“Shen Wenshan…” she spoke slowly, feeling like her throat was being sliced with a knife with every word.
“Little blind girl,” Shen Wenshan’s indifferent voice came. “I advise you to stay far away from my Shen family’s door, my daughter, and me from now on. Otherwise…”
As he spoke, he leaned forward slowly, staring into Shen Jiayan’s eyes, and said word by word, “Otherwise, I will definitely make you pay the price.”
He said it casually, as if discussing what to have for dinner, but the hidden danger in his words made Shen Jiayan’s breath catch abruptly.
Her chest heaved violently, her lips pale and dry, unable to even utter a simple retort.
Just as she was holding back her tears, a voice suddenly exploded in the car.
“I finally get it,” Gao Wei stood up, bent over, put her hands on her hips, and pointed at Shen Wenshan’s nose, shouting, “You old, immortal bad guy, how can you be so shameless? Scheming against a young girl is one thing, but you’re actually gloating and showing off about it?! How can you be so evil? If I were your daughter, I’d crawl back in and be reincarnated again!”
The more she cursed, the more fluent she became, spitting saliva everywhere, cursing Shen Wenshan’s entire ancestral line.
Gao Wei was completely unaware that her words had touched Shen Wenshan’s raw nerve. She continued to curse, “And you tell her to stay away from you! Bah, you scumbag, degenerate, how dare you say such a thing, why don’t you just die!”
“Shut up!” Shen Wenshan roared in rage, waving his hand as if to slap Gao Wei across the face.
But the slap landed on Shen Jiayan’s face instead.
“Slap”
Gao Wei’s eyes instantly turned red. She stared wide-eyed, “How dare you hit someone?!”
Shen Wenshan just snorted, not bothering with her.
Gao Wei was about to curse again but was stopped by Shen Jiayan. “Shen Wenshan, do you believe in karma? It doesn’t matter if you don’t. Now, Su Lu and I have already paid the price for our actions. Don’t worry; your karma is on its way. When that time comes, I will definitely smile and wish you a happy receipt of your retribution!”
She said this through gritted teeth, opened the car door, and left.
Gao Wei gave Shen Wenshan two international friendly gestures, added, “Scumbag, degenerate,” and quickly followed.
She silently thought: 100,000 yuan, don’t you dare run away.
Half an hour later, Gao Wei managed to drag Shen Jiayan back to her beat-up little car after much persuasion.
As she fastened her seatbelt, she said to Shen Jiayan, “No wonder you said this family only has money left. Damn it, their minds are only filled with scheming! After all, you called each other father and daughter for 23 years, no matter what…”
“Have you said enough?” Shen Jiayan interrupted her with a cold face.
Gao Wei pouted and immediately fell silent, turning on the car stereo to ease the tense atmosphere.
Under the loud music, the car slowly started moving.
At this moment, Su Sui rushed out from the main gate. She watched helplessly as Shen Jiayan got into a dilapidated little red car and drove past her.
An indescribable bitterness welled up in her heart, so sour it almost brought tears to her eyes. She wanted to chase after it, but after only a few steps, she was grabbed by several bodyguards who looked battered and covered in injuries.
“Get off me!” Su Sui screamed hysterically. “Get off me all of you!!”
She struggled, tore, and kicked.
“Shen Jiayan!! You come back here!!”
But she could never break free from the bodyguards’ restraint.
Shen Jiayan and Gao Wei’s little red car drove further and further away, gradually disappearing from sight. Just as she could no longer hold on and was about to faint, she was still muttering, “Jiayan, why did you abandon me?”
The car drove for about an hour, and there were few pedestrians on the road. Shen Jiayan sat in the car, watching the scattered passersby on the roadside.
Her hand instinctively reached into her pocket. Inside, there was only a waterlogged phone, a listening device, and the Buddhist amulet Su Lu had left her; nothing else.
Now she was penniless and homeless. Where could she go tonight?
As she was thinking, the car stopped in front of an old residential area she had never set foot in.
Gao Wei turned off the music that had been blaring and said cheerfully, “I’m home. Do you want to spend tonigh…”
Before she could finish speaking, she saw Shen Jiayan starting to take off her clothes.
Gao Wei quickly covered her eyes and waved her hands, “Don’t be like this, I’m not into women!”
“Here are your clothes back,” Shen Jiayan threw the clothes she took off onto Gao Wei. “Yours, back to you.”
“……” Gao Wei was speechless.
After they both changed back into their respective clothes and got out of the car, Gao Wei took out her keys to lock the car door. When she turned around to invite the “100,000 yuan” to come to her place, she found that the person had already run off.
Shen Jiayan walked alone on the street, wandering aimlessly. Occasionally, when she encountered other strangers who also looked lost, she would dodge to the side.
The night wind blew, and she couldn’t help but hug her arms tightly.
She looked up at the sky. The moon was mostly obscured by dark clouds, making the entire street look much grayer and lonelier.
Where should she go now?
And where could she go?
As she walked, she unknowingly arrived at a large bridge. She stood by the railing, looking down. The dark river water was churning incessantly, making a gurgling sound.
The streetlights on the bridge cast dim and unclear light, as if they might go out at any moment.
Shen Jiayan lowered her eyes, staring at the surging river water below, her heart filled with mixed emotions. For a fleeting moment, she understood that perhaps death was simpler than living…
