No One Else Will Do But You - Chapter 44
Dissection is absolutely a psychological task. Facing corpses that are about to be dissected thoroughly and clearly, maintaining a composed expression definitely takes time.
Moving from dissecting small animals at the start to human bodies is completely different.
Generally, students in the class were pale and couldn’t eat after class. This was especially true for the female students, needless to say.
Shu Luo was the same. Even if he didn’t vomit, the feeling of nausea was absolute.
“Shu Luo, we’re heading back to the dorm first. We won’t be eating today.”
The speaker was his roommate, Chen Cheng, a relatively bookish boy whose face was truly ashen at that moment.
After all, the human body dissection they had just completed was stomach-churning for the students watching, even if the professor could remain composed.
“Mm, you go back first. I’m going to S University,” Shu Luo said, gently patting his shoulder.
He didn’t have classes this afternoon, so he figured he might as well go to S University.
Jiang Mu often came over to the Medical University, but Shu Luo rarely went to Jiang Mu’s school, mainly because his own specialized courses were quite demanding.
He washed his face and turned to leave the restroom, when suddenly, a figure appeared in front of him.
“Are you Shu Luo?”
Shu Luo looked up at the tall boy in front of him, whom he did not recognize.
“I am. Can I help you?”
“Heh, great. I wondered what the man my girlfriend praises so highly looked like. So it’s just like you.”
The tone was sarcastic and extremely mocking. Shu Luo frowned; he had absolutely no idea what this person was talking about.
“Excuse me, I don’t know what you’re saying, and I have something to do. Please let me pass.”
He had just taken one step when his shoulder was grabbed tightly by the guy.
“Didn’t hear clearly? Fine, I’ll say it again. You’ll have to pay the price for stealing my girl, and for casually checking out someone else’s girlfriend.”
The person then prepared to throw a punch at Shu Luo’s face.
Shu Luo squinted his eyes, grabbed the swinging arm, and quickly executed a massive shoulder throw.
With a swift throw, he tossed the person out.
“Girlfriend? How the hell would I know who your girlfriend is? I look casually? Your girlfriend should stop looking at me. Don’t wrongly accuse people if you’re not sure, or you might face retribution.”
Shu Luo said coldly, glanced casually at the person, and turned to leave the restroom. What kind of person is this?
He shook his hand, which felt a little sore. This guy was genuinely heavy.
Unbeknownst to him, the man lying on the floor had increasingly fierce eyes. He struggled to his feet and charged at Shu Luo. This guy is too arrogant!
Shu Luo seemed to hear the sound behind him and quickly glanced at the charging figure, immediately turning sideways.
The kick the man aimed at him narrowly missed.
“Hey, student, please don’t just randomly attack people without knowing the facts, okay?” Shu Luo was completely bewildered by what was happening.
The man sneered a few times. “You don’t know? Weren’t you just dating my girlfriend at the library a few days ago? Stop pretending to be innocent, Shu Luo. Are you too scared to admit what you did?”
A few days ago? The library?
“Xu Xiaowei?”
“Yes! Admit it now? She’s my girlfriend. Stay away from her.”
Shu Luo laughed aloud in amusement. “Haha, she and I are just simple classmates. The last time we met in the library was just a coincidence; she borrowed my notes. That’s all.” Where did this melodramatic plot about stealing a girlfriend come from?
The man swiftly grabbed Shu Luo’s collar. He was a head taller than Shu Luo and quite sturdy, so lifting a thinner person like him was easy.
But Shu Luo was never one to be bullied. The Sanda (Chinese kickboxing) that Jiang Mu taught him wasn’t learned for nothing.
Shu Luo slightly lowered his eyelids, then looked up again, his eyes full of sharp resolve. He drove his knee up hard, directly striking the man’s lower abdomen.
The man cried out in pain and let go of Shu Luo’s collar. The force used was not light; it would be enough to keep him in pain for a week.
Shu Luo uncomfortably pulled at his collar, undoing the top two buttons of his shirt, revealing his delicate collarbone. The sharpness in his eyes remained.
The man looked at Shu Luo, feeling unconvinced. He hadn’t expected the slender person to have fighting skills, and the look in Shu Luo’s eyes at that moment stirred an indescribable fascination within him.
“I don’t want to waste any more time explaining groundless matters.”
The cool, slightly arrogant tone made the man momentarily stunned. What was it about this Shu Luo that attracted Xiaowei? His looks? His aura?
As if possessed, he spoke. “My name is He Zemin.”
Shu Luo twisted his sore shoulder, hearing the man suddenly introduce himself. “My name is Shu Luo.”
After speaking, he turned and left, his mind a jumble of confusion.
He knows…
He Zemin rubbed his aching abdomen. This guy used all his strength. But did I accidentally injure his shoulder just now?
Shu Luo left the school gate and hailed a taxi to S University.
Sitting in the back, Shu Luo kept rubbing his shoulder. There was also a slight sting on his back that he couldn’t reach. That guy was truly strong!
“Young student, you have a red mark on your neck.” The driver inadvertently looked up and saw Shu Luo in the rearview mirror, noticing the mark.
Shu Luo frowned, took out his phone, and opened the front camera. Sure enough, he saw an inconspicuous red mark. Pulling back the collar, he saw that his right shoulder was definitely bruised. That guy really did it!
“Young student, were you in a fight?” The kind driver asked.
“Ah, no. Maybe my collar was too tight earlier. The shoulder bruise is probably from falling off the bed in my sleep.”
The driver probably heard his excuse and didn’t ask further, just driving him to S University.
After getting out of the car, he didn’t call Jiang Mu, figuring he was still in class, though it should be ending soon.
They knew each other’s class schedules, so he timed his visit carefully.
“This class is Economics, B101 classroom…” He muttered, looking at the schedule recorded on his phone.
He didn’t notice that the attention of many students was focused on him.
He was wearing a scholarly shirt with the top two buttons undone, creating a contradictory aesthetic beauty.
His exquisite profile attracted many eyes.
101…
However, he searched for a long time and couldn’t even find Building B.
Jiang Mu should be close to getting out of class. Class ends at 11:50 a.m., and it was already 11:48 a.m.
He had been circling for half an hour…
He had no other choice.
“Um… excuse me, student, can I ask where Teaching Building B is?” He had to ask a random student.
The female student he asked was clearly stunned, as the boy was very handsome.
“I-It’s the building right in front of you,” she pointed shyly at the teaching building directly opposite Shu Luo.
Shu Luo: “…”
He had been searching for so long, and it was the building he kept missing?
“Thank you, student.” Shu Luo gave a generous, warm smile.
The female student covered her face. “You’re welcome, you’re welcome.” Before she could ask for his social media contact, he was gone.
Aiya, what a pity.
She pounded her chest.
Just then, the dismissal bell rang, and everyone began to stream out.
Seeing the crowd, Shu Luo decided to lean against the white statue next to the teaching building to wait.
The autumn sun wasn’t glaring; it was mostly warm. It gently shone on the ground, covering every passerby.
It didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.
Shu Luo looked listlessly at everyone coming out, but didn’t see Jiang Mu.
Soon, the person he was looking for appeared.
Coincidentally, he was also wearing a casual shirt, with his sleeves neatly rolled up, and a watch with a black leather strap. His handsome appearance naturally drew many eyes.
“Brother.”
Jiang Mu thought he had misheard, but then realized the person standing by the statue not far away was the one he wanted to see.
“Luo Luo?”
He walked toward him with a faster-than-usual pace, but his expression darkened moments later.
“What’s wrong, Brother?” Shu Luo hadn’t processed why Jiang Mu’s expression suddenly changed.
“Let’s go back to the apartment first. I don’t have class this afternoon. You don’t either, right?”
Shu Luo was a little confused by his quick pace but still nodded.
Jiang Mu drove the car out of the parking lot and left the school immediately.
“What’s that mark on your neck?”
His tone was cold, but the concern couldn’t be masked.
Shu Luo immediately pulled at his collar, turning his face uncomfortably toward the car window. “Ah, the collar was too tight and choked me.”
“That excuse won’t work. You should try another one that I can accept.”
Shu Luo forced a smile. “…” Can’t he just let it go? Did he really have to say that he just had a small fight with someone? His outcome would probably be worse then, right?
