My Sweet And Submissive Bunny Won't Stop Being Clingy - Chapter 28.1
“No, the patterns on that one are different from mine.”
Wan Xianyu’s mouth hung open wide enough to swallow an egg. “Huh?”
Meng Hemian had more or less guessed the sequence of events. “Let’s go back.”
“Wait, what exactly is going on?” Someone was still being kept in the dark.
However, the person in front simply kept walking, completely ignoring Wan Xianyu’s plight.
Wan Xianyu bit her lip hard. What a riddle-monger! How can anyone keep a friend like this!
Meng Hemian “tactfully” declined Wan Xianyu’s request to stay for a meal. She wanted to go back and have a proper talk with Wen Shuyao.
It wasn’t until she held the bracelet that she understood why Wen Shuyao had risked her life to run out. How could there be such a simple minded little rabbit demon? To nearly lose her life just because she overheard a conversation and wanted to give a birthday gift… it was impossible for Meng Hemian not to be moved.
Standing at her front door, Meng Hemian’s heart suddenly beat a little too fast. She opened the door as calmly as possible. Sunlight poured through the floor to ceiling windows, spilling across the floor and onto Wen Shuyao’s light brown hair.
The moment their eyes met, Wen Shuyao’s eyes turned red. Before Meng Hemian could react, the little rabbit let out a whimper, and tears began to go pitter-patter down her face.
“Waaah….”
She reached out to wipe the tears, but they only fell faster. “Meng Hemian, I’m sorry. I didn’t know today was your mother’s death anniversary.”
Large teardrops slid down her fingers, wetting her face and clothes. Meng Hemian had never seen someone cry like this, as if she were crying her heart out just to show her.
Wen Shuyao continued to sob. “I lied to you.”
Her emotions had been fermenting all morning, terrified that Meng Hemian would throw her away. She was completely unable to control herself now; the words just kept tumbling out as she tried to explain everything.
“I’m actually… I’m a rabbit.”
Wen Shuyao was crying so hard she could barely breathe, her face flushed red, her heart in knots. She reached out to grab the hem of Meng Hemian’s clothes, but then pulled her hand back in fear, clutching her own hands instead.
She asked piteously, “Can you please not kick me out?”
Meng Hemian’s heart beat faster and faster, as if it would overload if she didn’t do something. She grabbed a tissue and awkwardly tried to wipe Wen Shuyao’s tears, her voice soft and coaxing.
“It’s not like you did it on purpose. Why would I kick you out?”
Wen Shuyao wasn’t listening. “But I’m a rabbit demon. I only know how to cook and do housework.”
Meng Hemian: “I know.”
One tissue was already soaked through, and the girl in front of her hadn’t finished crying.
“I eat so much! I eat three bowls of rice every meal!” After saying this, she cried even harder.
Meng Hemian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “It’s okay. I can afford to feed you.”
Wen Shuyao couldn’t help but throw herself into Meng Hemian’s arms, wiping all her tears onto Meng Hemian’s clothes. “I… I even turned into a rabbit to sneak head-pats.”
Meng Hemian let her snuggle. “The problem wasn’t you; I was the one who insisted on petting you.”
Her patience had reached its limit. She paused, then slowly reached out and hugged Wen Shuyao, as if holding a giant rabbit. Only this weeping, silly rabbit would brave a thunderstorm to retrieve her mother’s keepsake.
As the sunlight hit them at an angle, Wen Shuyao’s sobbing gradually subsided, and she tried her best to hug Meng Hemian back.
Meng Hemian patted her back. “Are you calm now?”
Having cried her fill, Wen Shuyao looked up, her small face reflecting only Meng Hemian. She blurted out: “Yes. I like Meng Hemian.”
Meng Hemian: “…”
It seems she isn’t calm yet.
Wen Shuyao suddenly stood up. She tugged at her collar, revealing snow-white skin and delicate collarbones. She lowered her eyelashes shyly. “I want to give myself to you in marriage to repay your kindness.”
The situation was escalating beyond expectation. Meng Hemian looked bewildered. “No, wait…”
“I also lied and said that was a decoration on my pajamas, but actually…”
Wen Shuyao bit her lower lip, lifted the hem of her shirt, and presented her slender waist to Meng Hemian. Then she turned around to show her tail.
The movements were so fast Meng Hemian didn’t have time to cover her eyes. “Wait!”
Wen Shuyao ignored the request and whispered, “Actually, this is my tail. You can touch it.”
“Wait, wait, wait, wait….”
Meng Hemian’s heart was in her throat, now she was the one having an emotional breakdown. The fluffy tail flashed before her eyes too clearly, her CPU literally exploded.
She slapped her hands over her eyes, the crisp sound was like slapping her own face. But she only had one pair of hands, covering her eyes meant she couldn’t block her ears.
Wen Shuyao’s voice drifted straight in: “I’m your little rabbit now. You can touch me however you want.”
Meng Hemian had never seen anything like this in her life.
She lowered her hands, eyes still squeezed shut, and asked in a vibrating voice, “Who taught you to ‘repay’ people like this?”
Tu Shanxiu: I did.
