- Chapter 13 - Wife, Bath
Looking down at her fingertips concealed by the hem of the skirt, Gu Fei’s face turned a delicate shade of red. Yet, unable to resist the temptation, her palm instinctively and gently stroked the smooth skin beneath.
At the same time, her mind was racing.
Through her consultation with the doctor yesterday, Gu Fei had gained a deeper understanding of Qin Qingwei’s condition.
From what she could see, both Gu Yi and Song Yanran were aware of Qin Qingwei’s existence. When addressed as “Qin Qingwei,” although their emotions fluctuated, it wasn’t a total break; rather, it was an instinctive denial. This likely suggested that Gu Yi and Song Yanran knew they were secondary personalities. They possessed independent thoughts and memories, but they were consciously aware that they coexisted with the primary identity.
But Pei Yao was different. She was completely immersed in her own fabricated memories and believed in them without a shred of doubt. She would even actively rationalize things that were clearly illogical.
When Gu Fei had dropped Pei Yao off at the house earlier, she was actually testing her. Had Pei Yao shown even a hint of doubt, Gu Fei would have pulled over or changed course immediately. But even when the car stopped in front of her and Qin Qingwei’s actual marital home, Pei Yao didn’t react at all. She simply treated it as the original home she shared with Gu Fei. Even seeing the photos of the two of them in the bedroom, she instinctively viewed them as their engagement photos.
The doctor said that Pei Yao’s case was likely an escapist form of self-protection. Having suffered severe psychological trauma during childhood, she had constructed an entirely false life to deflect the inner pain.
However, Gu Fei felt it wasn’t that simple. Who uses “bankruptcy” to deflect pain? Although she didn’t know what trauma her wife was trying to escape, Gu Fei could see that even now, Pei Yao wasn’t truly happy.
“Well? Can I or can’t I? Gu Fei…”
She had been thinking for too long—so long that Pei Yao’s patience was wearing thin.
Lifting her right leg slightly, Pei Yao clamped down on Gu Fei’s fingertips, which had been drifting closer and closer in her daze. Trying to take advantage of me without giving an answer? There’s no such thing as a free lunch.
“Sss…”
Snapped back to reality by the sharp pain of being squeezed between those thighs, Gu Fei tentatively tried to withdraw her hand while pleading in a small voice. “If you squeeze any harder, they’ll break, wife…”
“Don’t you like touching here? Isn’t it better to let you stay a while longer?” Pei Yao looked at her with a gentle, arch smile.
“…”
Knowing she wouldn’t win a battle of wits, Gu Fei pursed her lips. She looked down at Pei Yao, who was leisurely swinging her free leg while still trapping her hand. Taking advantage of the posture, Gu Fei simply gathered Pei Yao into her arms and stood up.
“Ah! You—”
Caught off guard, Pei Yao let out a small cry. She was cradled in Gu Fei’s arms, but because of the sudden movement, her other leg lost its support and dangled in the air. Her black skirt unfurled like a blooming flower, leaving the pale skin of her legs completely exposed.
“Gu Fei, you bastard.”
The words were hissed into Gu Fei’s ear, one by one. While Pei Yao wrapped her arms tightly around Gu Fei’s waist in her embarrassment, she couldn’t help but give Gu Fei a sharp pinch out of spite.
“Sss.”
Actually feeling the sting this time, Gu Fei’s shoulders hunched. Hiding a smile, she carried Pei Yao toward the bedroom, proactively leaning in to capture her lips.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, wife…”
“Go away…”
Pei Yao deliberately turned her head, refusing to let her kiss her. She took hold of Gu Fei’s chin and instead leaned down to leave a light tooth mark on Gu Fei’s cheek. “You’re a total bastard…”
They made it to the bathroom. Gu Fei, her face flushed from being nibbled on, tried to set Pei Yao down, but Pei Yao clung to her waist and wouldn’t let go.
“You still haven’t answered me.”
“I… I promise. We’ll go to the office together next Monday.”
Gu Fei, having already worked out a plan, smiled and pressed a kiss to the corner of her mouth. Although there was a risk of her being recognized at the company, the top-floor executive area was almost entirely Gu Fei’s personal space. Even with the secretarial pool there, as long as she briefed the secretaries beforehand, no one would dare say anything reckless in front of Pei Yao.
At that point, people would just assume Pei Yao was a new secretary who happened to look remarkably like the famous actress Qin Qingwei. The only slightly unusual part would be that the new secretary worked in the same office as the Chairman.
It was a bit intimate, but it shouldn’t be a major problem.
“Mm… President Gu is so good to me.” A satisfied Pei Yao rubbed the tooth mark on Gu Fei’s cheek. “To compensate for calling you names just now, I’ll wait on you while you bathe tonight.”
“That’s… not necessary.”
Under those eyes full of heavy implication, Gu Fei’s face turned beet red. After all, she was the one who had startled her wife; being called names or pinched a few times was nothing—she was used to it.
“It is necessary. Being able to serve President Gu is my sincere wish…”
Gazing at Gu Fei’s shy face which was clearly tempted despite the feigned attempt at a serious refusal Pei Yao let out a silent, knowing smile. Sliding slowly down from Gu Fei’s body, she began to unbutton Gu Fei’s shirt, one button at a time.
Gu Fei’s eyelashes fluttered uncontrollably. After a few seconds, when Pei Yao’s fingertips once again brushed intentionally against her skin, a crimson-faced Gu Fei caught her palm. She wanted to say she could do it herself; if this continued, Pei Yao was going to feel her up until there was nothing left.
“President Gu’s heart is beating so fast. Are you feeling something?”
Before Gu Fei could even speak, Pei Yao gave a soft knead.
“Mm…” Gu Fei, having been seen through, nodded in a small voice.
“You’re so cute when you’re honest.”
“Like a good baby who listens to their mama.”
As the water in the bathtub was about to overflow, Pei Yao led the blushing Gu Fei into the water. Waves rippled and spilled over the side.
Gu Fei was pressed down. Amidst the rising steam of the bathroom, Pei Yao leaned down slowly.
“Baby, do you want to nurse tonight?”
