- Chapter 72 - She is a Very Conservative Dragon
Long Ling was full of doubts. She remembered she was with Annie when she fell asleep. She only dared to sleep for a while because someone was beside her.
Did Annie leave for something, and Violet conveniently passed by and picked her up?
Long Ling lowered her eyes and still said, “I can only rub it for a little while, I still need to go home.”
Violet leaned into Long Ling’s arms, her prominent nose brushing against Long Ling’s neck. “Since you’ve already rubbed it, don’t you want to do something else?”
Long Ling’s skin flushed red from her orchid-like breath, and her chest rose and fell.
She only massaged her wrist, not any other place.
Long Ling pushed Violet away. “We’ve already broken up. Consider this my thanks to you. We should meet less often in the future.”
Violet kissed Long Ling’s soft red lips, unable to resist saying intimately, “But I want to see you every day. Can we reconcile?”
Violet’s lips were a bit cold, soft when they touched Long Ling’s. Their noses met, their breaths intertwined, but Long Ling turned her face away, avoiding her touch.
The soft lips grazed her cheek, leaving a slightly moist mark.
Long Ling still cared about Violet locking her in the secret chamber before. Violet shouldn’t think that giving her a gentle haven would make her forgive so quickly.
“If you truly want to reconcile, take your dragon tail away first.”
Violet’s dragon tail was still wrapped around hers, the tip of the tail continuously patting her, making it impossible for her to ignore.
Violet took Long Ling’s hand and placed it on her dragon tail. “Let you touch it first. The medicine you gave was very good; my dragon tail can now wrap around yours.”
As the two dragon tails stayed close together for a long time, their temperature also rose.
The gorgeous and dazzling crimson dragon scales obediently lay beneath her hand. Long Ling hadn’t intended to touch it, but the tip of Violet’s dragon tail was still hooking her wrist. It felt good to the touch, warm and slightly fleshy—she had always liked it.
After massaging it for several months before, Long Ling had a deep affection for this crimson dragon tail.
Violet guided her hand upwards, suddenly touching a hot spot.
Violet’s eyes sparkled. “Doesn’t it feel much better than before?”
Long Ling’s cheeks immediately flushed, and she quickly withdrew her hand, pulling her own dragon tail back as well.
“Can you fly for a long time now?”
Violet’s ears were a bit red, and she nodded slightly. “I can fly, but I can’t fly as fast as before.”
It seemed it wasn’t completely cured; perhaps continued massage was needed.
The last time she and Violet were in the rain, she felt Violet’s legs weren’t completely well; she walked very slowly, not even as fast as Violet used to walk when she was in a wheelchair.
She remembered in her previous world, courtiers often knelt on the ground begging the emperor for mercy and the like. Getting caught in the rain made it easy to get ‘old cold legs.’ Many ministers sought imperial physicians but couldn’t find a cure. She didn’t know if dragons in this world would get ‘old cold legs.’
Long Ling looked worriedly at Violet, then lowered her head and began massaging her dragon tail.
Violet was somewhat surprised by her silent action of suddenly starting a massage, thinking Long Ling had suddenly become interested again.
Her eyes flowed with charm. She crossed her legs, slightly lifted her foot, and her full arch of the foot tilted Long Ling’s chin, only to be gently pushed down by a warm hand.
Long Ling’s expression was focused, her thick eyelashes slightly trembling. Her icy-blue eyes were like a clear ocean. Every time she massaged her, the force was just right. Now that the dragon tail could feel the strength and temperature of the hand, it was more easily sensitive.
The day it rained, Violet felt pain in her legs after returning from being soaked, and she really wanted the little dragon to touch her.
She hadn’t even brought it up to Long Ling, but Long Ling still kept it in her heart all the time.
Violet felt as sweet as if she had eaten honey and couldn’t bear to leave her little dragon.
After the massage, Long Ling withdrew her hand and noticed Violet had been staring at her.
She stood up and said, “I have to go.”
Violet hugged Long Ling from behind, gently blowing air into her ear. “You are not allowed to go.”
Long Ling’s cheeks were burning hot. “What are you doing?”
Violet held Long Ling tightly and whispered, “If you walk out now, I’ll just keep hanging on you like this.”
Long Ling had never seen such a rogue act. Had Violet completely forgotten that she was a Duchess?
Violet might not care about face, but she did; she is a very conservative dragon.
Long Ling remained silent, lowering her head to re-button her top.
Violet’s hand wrapped around her waist, her slender fingers deliberately unbuttoning from beneath her shirt, one, two, three buttons, exposing Long Ling’s abdomen to the cool air.
Long Ling saw her mischievous hand and couldn’t help but get angry. “If you do this again, I will ignore you from now on.”
Violet let out a soft sound, rubbing her forehead against the back of Long Ling’s neck.
What else could she do? The little dragon had a bigger temper now, so she could only spoil her.
Violet could only re-button Long Ling’s top for her, casually using her fingertips to lightly tease the firm lines of Long Ling’s abdomen.
Has the little strawberry dragon become so resistant to temptation now?
Long Ling suddenly heard Violet’s inner voice.
She just didn’t want to have that kind of relationship when they were arguing. How could Violet suspect her?
Although she wasn’t a “big fierce Alpha,” she was still an Alpha!
Long Ling couldn’t help but release a bit of strawberry-flavored pheromone to prove she was still an Alpha.
As soon as the strawberry-flavored pheromone was released, like a little puppy just popping its head out, it was immediately captured by Violet’s rose pheromones, almost being swallowed whole.
Violet couldn’t help but hold her even tighter.
Long Ling moved away from the bedside, ready to wash up and leave.
Violet said from behind her, “I’ll have someone send some food over. You eat before you go. Your mother probably knows you’re here with me.”
Long Ling sighed inwardly. Violet knew she was the primary suspect too.
In fact, even if she were lying on a lounge chair in the garden, and Violet hadn’t come out to pick her up, her mother wouldn’t have just left her there.
Her mother was always worried about her being captured and locked up by Violet. If she didn’t go back and explain now, Violet’s impression in Mo Dai’s mind would definitely get worse.
“I’ll eat with my mother; you eat by yourself.”
Violet immediately felt a little sad in her heart. Long Ling used to put her first, instead of always thinking about leaving her.
“Then I won’t eat either.”
Violet secretly glanced at Long Ling, but Long Ling didn’t worry about her as before. After washing up, she immediately opened the door.
Violet quickly walked over anxiously and stopped Long Ling. “Wait for me a moment, we’ll go out together.”
Going out with Violet wasn’t a big deal, so Long Ling sat on the bed and waited for Violet.
Violet quickly dressed up, looking stunningly beautiful and radiating a sense of mature elegance, completely different from the rogue big evil dragon that was clinging to her earlier.
Violet turned to look at Long Ling’s stunned expression, leaned over, and whispered in her ear, “Do you like it? Do you want to try the flavor of the lipstick I’m wearing today?”
Long Ling was somewhat dazed by the faint fragrance on her, and subconsciously looked at Violet’s full and tempting lips.
Today’s lip color was different from yesterday’s; the hue was more vibrant and smelled a bit like peach blossom dissolving in a stream. It looked more beautiful and commanding.
Long Ling’s heart rate couldn’t help but quicken. Realizing that Violet might hear her heartbeat, she immediately pushed Violet away.
She said righteously, “If we don’t leave soon, I won’t wait for you.”
Violet had thought Long Ling would be eager for a kiss, but she was rejected instead.
She looked at Long Ling’s delicate body and couldn’t help but think of Long Ling’s chaotic rut period before. Maybe she should find a doctor to check on Long Ling later.
The two left the lounge together. As soon as they arrived at the City Lord’s reception hall, they saw the anxious Mo Dai and the equally worried Annie pacing around.
Long Ling was embraced by Mo Dai, who asked concernedly, “Thank goodness, you’re finally back. Did Violet do anything to you?”
Long Ling quickly comforted Mo Dai, “I’m fine. I owe Violet for taking care of me last night.”
Mo Dai breathed a sigh of relief. “You scared me to death. Annie said Violet carried you away. I thought she was going to take you back to Glace Harbor.”
“Sister Long Ling.” Annie felt a bit guilty and quickly explained what happened yesterday. “I was with you yesterday, but Duchess Violet came and carried you away.”
Long Ling couldn’t help but look at Violet. This was completely different from what Violet had told her.
Violet slightly raised her chin, showing no embarrassment about being exposed.
Long Ling had actually thought Violet was so kind as to “pick her up” after seeing her accidentally fall asleep on the lounge chair.
Long Ling gently patted Annie’s hand. “It’s okay, I’m back now.”
Violet saw Long Ling being so close to another Omega and coldly glared at Annie.
Annie was already dissatisfied with Violet’s forceful snatching of Long Ling yesterday. She considered Sister Long Ling like a real sister and couldn’t bear to see anyone bully her gentle sister.
She deeply sympathized with Sister Long Ling’s situation, and immediately, despite the Duchess’s imposing presence, she loudly said, “Sister Long Ling, have you had breakfast? Auntie Mo Dai and I haven’t eaten either. Why don’t we go have breakfast together?”
Long Ling nodded slightly. “Let’s go together then.”
Just as she was about to leave with her mother and Annie, Violet grabbed her hand again.
“Aren’t you taking me with you?”
Violet stared into Long Ling’s eyes, tightly holding Long Ling’s hand and refusing to let go.
Mo Dai looked at Long Ling, then at Violet. These two young dragons were quite inseparable.
She hadn’t been watching, and Long Ling was already pinned against the wall for a kiss. Then, without watching again, the two dragons spent a whole night in the same room.
She didn’t understand now. Was Long Ling thinking of reconciling with Violet again?
Violet’s manor was not a good place. How much effort did it take for her to retrieve Long Ling from there?
Mo Dai interrupted, “Breakfast is a family meal for us. It might be inappropriate for Her Grace the Duchess to join us.”
Violet only looked at Long Ling. “Long Ling and I are also family.”
Long Ling felt immense pressure now and released Violet’s hand.
Violet’s palm lost the residual warmth, a hint of sadness flashed in her eyes, and she stared fixedly at Long Ling.
Long Ling opened her mouth, looked at Mo Dai, and said, “It’s just one meal anyway.”
Mo Dai looked at Long Ling, disappointed that she couldn’t resist even a little bit of Violet’s offense!
Was Violet really desperate for that one meal you were offering? If you give in one step now, you’ll keep giving in and be manipulated by this woman.
She couldn’t openly advise her Long Ling in front of Violet. She planned to talk to her daughter privately about this matter later.
Violet didn’t feel good either. Long Ling did not directly respond to Mo Dai about her place in Long Ling’s heart.
They were clearly the closest people in the world. When could the relationship between her and Long Ling return to how it was before?
The group went to a local restaurant, each with their own thoughts. Long Ling and Violet had stayed in bed for too long, and it was already noon when they arrived at the restaurant.
The restaurant had two rows of leather seats with a dining table in the middle, looking quite upscale.
Violet gently said to Long Ling, “Long Ling, come and sit with me.”
Just as Long Ling was about to sit down, Mo Dai immediately pulled her hand. “You need to sit with your mother.”
Long Ling was arranged by her mother to sit on the innermost seat, with Annie next to her, and Mo Dai sitting on the outer side.
The three sat in a row, leaving Violet alone.
Anyone looking would certainly think Long Ling and Annie were a couple, with their mother sitting beside them.
Violet appearing here felt like she was deliberately coming to cause trouble.
Violet also had that thought flash through her mind, feeling like she was pricked by a needle.
No matter how others viewed her, all she wanted was her little dragon back by her side.
The weather was hot, and Mo Dai, knowing Long Ling loved ice cream, quickly asked the waiter to bring one over first.
Mo Dai placed the ice cream next to Long Ling, still remembering Violet’s domineering action that time, and seized the chance to mock, “Some dragons don’t even know what our little Ling likes to eat.”
Violet’s expression immediately darkened. How could she not know what Long Ling liked? To ensure Long Ling ate food to her taste, she had the butler purchase all sorts of ingredients, and Long Ling was well-nourished at her place.
She sat opposite Long Ling, unwrapped the cutlery, scooped up the blueberries decorating the ice cream with a silver spoon, and fed it towards Long Ling. “I’ll feed you.”
Mo Dai watched with wide eyes. Violet not only didn’t get angry but actually ‘borrowed the flower to offer it to Buddha’ (profited from another’s effort) right in front of her, showing off shamelessly.
