- Chapter 70 - Kissed by the Evil Dragon Miss
Upon hearing the inner monologue, Long Ling, with a cold expression, grabbed Violet’s hand: “I don’t need you to apply it. You don’t apply it well at all.”
Violet glanced at her wrist, which was tightly held by Long Ling, and felt a dense, throbbing pain in her heart. How was she applying it poorly? The little strawberry dragon had never let her apply sunscreen before.
She had said she would be considerate of Long Ling’s feelings, and she would do these little things in the future.
Violet’s slender hand turned and gripped Long Ling’s wrist, gently stroking it. Her tone was tender: “Then teach me. I’ll learn, and I’ll take care of you like this from now on.”
Her body instinctively moved closer, almost pressing Long Ling against the sink.
Long Ling turned her face away, lowering her head to wring out the towel that Violet had dampened: “I don’t need you to take care of me.”
She had just wrung out the towel and was halfway through folding it when Violet embraced her again.
Violet’s captivating eyes stared at her cheek, and her slender hand gently caressed Long Ling’s waist.
Long Ling was wearing very little, only a thin jacket, and when Violet’s soft curves pressed against her, the full contours were clearly noticeable.
In the past, Violet always liked to press her against her chest—just the tactic of a big evil dragon.
Perhaps because she hadn’t been exposed to Omega pheromones for a long time, Long Ling’s body couldn’t help but feel hot. The inhibitor she had just injected seemed to have failed, and Violet’s rose scent drilled into her nostrils in waves, causing her canine teeth to poke out.
The little strawberry dragon’s lips look very soft today. I want to kiss the little strawberry dragon.
This is the restroom! Who wants to kiss Violet here!
She didn’t want to hear Violet’s inner thoughts anymore!
Suddenly, someone walked past behind them, and Long Ling quickly reached out and pushed Violet away.
The unfamiliar Omega glanced at them a few more times, perhaps thinking they were doing something inappropriate, and quickly washed their hands and left.
Long Ling gave Violet a warning look and picked up her bag: “Move aside, I’m going out.”
Violet saw Long Ling’s translucent dragon horns appear and, thinking she would go out and be with other Omegas, felt deeply displeased. She whined, “You’re not allowed to leave me.”
Long Ling’s path was blocked, and her tone became very unpleasant: “Don’t you have a lot of official business to attend to? Why are you still pestering me? We’ve already broken up!”
Violet’s face was a little pale, and her knuckles turned white as she clenched them: “My official business is finished. You cannot separate from me now, and you cannot in the future either!”
She just says she disagrees, and that’s it? Does the world revolve around Violet?
Long Ling didn’t want to humor Violet at all right now: “You always think you should get what you want, and everyone else must listen to you. You are truly overbearing and unreasonable!”
Violet thought of Long Ling playing ball with other Omegas, looking radiant and energetic, and her heart felt tightly blocked and painful. Could she just ignore Long Ling and let her be with other Omegas? She simply couldn’t do it.
She could concede on other things, but she couldn’t let Long Ling be with someone else. Every single minute and second was torture for her.
Violet’s dark golden eyes turned blood-red, and her voice was low and stubborn: “I just want you. Don’t be with other Omegas, okay? I told you I will change.”
Long Ling felt the net named love, but which was truly control, enveloping her again. Violet’s love was just that heavy and domineering; she always wanted to keep her tightly bound by her side.
Long Ling didn’t want to be restrained by her anymore, and her tone became even colder: “But I don’t want you. Who I like and who I’m with in the future has nothing to do with you. Please move aside, Your Grace.”
Violet’s blood-red eyes were brimming with tears, utterly wounded by Long Ling’s words.
Long Ling clenched her fist, turned around, and walked away without looking back at Violet.
The next second, she was pressed against the wall by Violet. The woman’s lips, as hot as fire, kissed hers, inch by inch stealing her breath. Her soft lips were forcefully crushed, and the pink tongue lightly brushed against her lip seam, skillfully prying open her teeth.
The veins on Long Ling’s arms were taut, but Violet’s slender hands gently caressed her arm, then moved to her back. The chilling touch stimulated her skin, causing fine tremors, and the pale fingertips alternately teased out sparks of sensation.
Long Ling looked at the tears in Violet’s blood-colored eyes. Her pink tongue was being stirred and sucked into the other’s mouth. Violet’s breathing was suppressing a rapid pace, as if she wanted to melt them together.
“Long Ling.” A slightly altered exclamation from Mo Dai suddenly came from the side.
Long Ling’s heart panicked, and she immediately pushed Violet away.
Her cheeks were red and hot. After being kissed by Violet, they were stained with a touch of lipstick’s vivid color, making the whole dragon look fully ripe.
Mo Dai had been waiting on the beach chair for a while. Long Ling had gone to the restroom and hadn’t returned for a long time. She was worried that Long Ling, being new to the place, would be deceived by some dragon.
She followed the direction Long Ling had gone and didn’t expect to see her daughter pressed against the wall and kissed by Duchess Violet as soon as she arrived.
This was outrageous! How long had she and Long Ling just settled here, and Duchess Violet had already tracked them down!
Seeing Mo Dai about to speak, Long Ling quickly walked over and took her mother’s hand: “Mom, let’s go out first.”
Violet’s eyes were still red, and she didn’t want to be seen by any dragon other than Long Ling. Her dark, curly hair obscured her exquisite features, and she just looked out the window.
The Aftermath and New Introductions
After Mo Dai left with Long Ling, she couldn’t help but ask: “How is Violet here? Was she forcing you just now?”
Long Ling was a little embarrassed: “Maybe she was just passing by. Don’t worry about her, Mom, let’s go back.”
Mo Dai’s lips twitched. She felt like Violet came specifically to kiss her daughter.
However, when she arrived, she looked around and saw that Violet hadn’t brought an army, so she probably wasn’t here to immediately arrest Long Ling.
“You still need to be careful. If I hadn’t arrived in time, and she did something to you, the consequences would be unimaginable.”
Long Ling’s hand was pressed against her cheek, and she nodded: “I know.”
After Long Ling left, Violet called her secretary: “Find someone to check which dragons have been in contact with Long Ling today.”
The secretary bowed and said, “Yes.”
The secretary quickly found out the background of the other party. In her youth, Madame Rosaline first married a viscount and gave birth to her eldest daughter, Norris. Later, she remarried, bringing Norris with her, to the wealthy merchant Audley, and gave birth to two more daughters. The youngest daughter, Annie, was the Omega who played beach volleyball with Long Ling today.
Madame Rosaline’s second daughter and the daughter she brought from her first marriage were engaged in a fierce inheritance battle. Madame Rosaline brought her youngest daughter here to relax, and also with the intention of finding a suitable Alpha for her.
She held a portion of the shares. If her youngest daughter married, she could transfer some assets to her daughter’s name, ensuring her daughter was financially secure for life. This was the context for the connection between Mo Dai and Madame Rosaline.
Mo Dai has been in business for many years and has many assets. She is an old friend of Rosaline and often partners with her in business, so it’s essentially a business alliance.
They knew each other well, and even if her youngest daughter married Long Ling, she wouldn’t have to worry about her daughter’s assets being diluted. Moreover, considering Rosaline’s standing, Mo Dai would certainly not be a difficult mother-in-law in the future.
After reading the intelligence gathered by the secretary, a hint of anger surfaced on Violet’s beautiful face. The calculations of these two dragons were almost slapping her in the face.
Evening Banquet
Long Ling followed Mo Dai back to the beach. Annie had already prepared a fruit platter and bought some local seaside delicacies, including shellfish like clams, some bright red crabs, and squid, all emitting a rich ocean aroma.
When Long Ling was at the Illydar Estate, she had gone fishing with Violet at the lake using a casting net and had caught some green-shelled crabs, but she had never seen crabs this large—bigger than her head.
Long Ling held a piece of baked crab claw meat in both hands, realizing for the first time that crab meat could be eaten like a steamed bun. Dipped in some local sauce, it had a springy texture and a subtly sweet taste.
After finishing the delicious food, Long Ling and her family lay on the beach chairs to enjoy the sun.
After resting for a while, Annie, lying on the beach chair next to her, flipped over and suggested, “Sister Long Ling, I’ve rested enough. Shall we go play beach volleyball again later?”
Madame Rosaline heard her daughter only thinking about playing and reminded her: “Don’t pester your Sister Long Ling. You need to ask her if she’s rested well before playing with her.”
Long Ling spoke up for Annie: “It’s okay, I’m not tired. I actually quite enjoy playing volleyball.”
Seeing Long Ling take her side, Annie snorted at Rosaline: “I knew it. Sister Long Ling is so gentle; she’ll definitely play with me.”
Madame Rosaline looked helpless. Mo Dai pulled Rosaline over and said, “Let’s not worry about the children’s business.”
In the afternoon, Long Ling and Annie were halfway through their game when Rosaline suddenly received a message from home that something had happened with their family business, and she needed to rush back early.
But Annie hadn’t finished playing. Rosaline could only ask Mo Dai to look after her daughter, and Mo Dai readily agreed, telling Rosaline to return quickly.
In the evening, the Lord of the City of Freedom held a banquet, and many big merchants and politicians who came to trade here attended. Mo Dai also received an invitation and brought Long Ling and Annie along to see the world.
Her daughter had finally returned to her side, and she wanted all the associated partners to get to know her. In the future, when Long Ling’s tavern needed to expand, she might need help from others sooner or later.
“This is Madame Smith, who has opened Mage Guilds in the most prosperous areas of every continent. This is my daughter, Long Ling, and next to her is Madame Rosaline’s youngest daughter, Annie.”
“Your daughter is as beautiful as you. Is she also an Omega?”
“No, she is an Alpha. She just started working with me this year, and my business will be inherited by her in the future.”
Mo Dai wore an elegant, vintage long dress, smiling and clinking glasses with Madame Smith. In the crowd, she was a stunning sight, holding a red wine glass and engaging in lively conversations with various wealthy merchants.
Long Ling stood beside her, bearing a seven-point resemblance to Mo Dai. However, Mo Dai looked like a shrewd businesswoman, while Long Ling looked greener. The mother and daughter standing together were very eye-catching.
The banquet was filled with clinking glasses and chatter. Long Ling accompanied her mother and met many people, drinking countless glasses of wine. Her memory had always been excellent, and she clearly remembered Mo Dai’s guidance on everyone’s characteristics and preferences, but as she drank more and more wine, she gradually started feeling tipsy.
Annie pulled her to an empty seat and found a glass of ice water, which she thoughtfully handed to Long Ling: “Sister Long Ling, are you okay? Do you want to drink some ice water?”
Long Ling felt a little better after taking a couple of sips and couldn’t help but smile slightly at Annie: “Thank you.”
Annie was captivated by Long Ling’s smile and was about to peel an orange for her.
Suddenly, a commotion broke out at the banquet. The Lord of the City of Freedom appeared, accompanied by a woman with an exceptional demeanor.
After the Lord respectfully introduced Violet’s identity, the merchants scrambled to express their respect.
“Duchess Violet, we are merchants from your territory. Thank you for the tax reductions over the years.”
“Your Grace, I never expected to see you here. You look even more majestic than before.”
Long Ling, feeling half-drunk, heard the flattery directed at Violet and thought she was sleepwalking. Why was Violet everywhere?
Mo Dai saw Long Ling’s face flush from the wine and leaned over to tell her to quickly avoid Violet.
Long Ling left the banquet and was guided by a waiter to the garden, where she was told to rest on a lounge chair for a while.
Annie followed Long Ling and, seeing that she looked very uncomfortable, found a fan to help cool Long Ling down.
Long Ling couldn’t help but rest her forehead on her hand and drifted off to sleep.
Violet had originally planned to come here specifically to see Long Ling. She was prepared to publicly and loudly announce that Long Ling was still her fiancée at the end of the ball, completely thwarting Mo Dai’s plans.
But after she had dealt with the commoners, she suddenly realized that the little strawberry dragon who had been in the corner was gone.
