It Seemed My Fiancé Hated Me, So I Distanced Myself—But for Some Reason, He Complained - Chapter 29
“Clarissa, let’s forget about that house now. Starting today, you’ll begin a new life. I’ll show you to your room. Let’s go.”
“Yes…!”
Holding Prince Lucas’s hand, I walked through the royal castle.
The interior of the castle was serene and refined, and simply walking through it was enough to make me captivated.
Prince Lucas stopped before a room with a brown door after we had walked through the castle for a while.
“This is your room, Clarissa.”
Saying this, the prince opened the door.
The moment I saw inside, I was speechless.
The room appeared to be at least twice as large as the one I had used at the Meriam household.
A canopy bed, velvet-covered sofas. Numerous paintings adorned the walls.
Beyond the large window hung with silk curtains stretched the beautiful view of the castle garden.
The room was so magnificent that I froze in place.
“Clarissa, what’s wrong? Come on in.”
Prince Lucas, who had entered first, called to me with a puzzled expression. I timidly stepped into the room.
The prince cheerfully explained to me about the room’s furniture and the paintings displayed.
As expected, everything seemed to be quite valuable and historically significant.
Just as I was feeling overwhelmed at the thought of being allowed to live in such a room, the prince said with a casual expression, “You’re free to use anything in this room as you like.”
While vowing to myself that I would absolutely avoid breaking or damaging anything, I thanked the prince.
“That’s right, I’ve also arranged for maids to attend to you, Clarissa.”
After saying this, the prince spoke something toward the bracelet he was wearing. Was that a bracelet-type communication device?
Soon, footsteps could be heard from beyond the door, and three maids entered briskly.
“Lady Clarissa, it’s wonderful to see you again!”
The three maids who had arrived were the same ones who had prepared me for the garden party.
The three surrounded me and said in bright voices.
“To think that Lady Clarissa would become engaged to Prince Lucas! We are so happy!”
“Prince Lucas was absolutely overjoyed last night!”
“With Lady Clarissa, you will surely become a wonderful queen in the future!”
They all said such things one after another.
While I was happy that they seemed to welcome me, I felt somewhat bewildered.
