- Is My Wife Pregnant Today? [Quick Transmigration]
- Chapter 13 - Forced to Marry the Prince 13
The two men’s gazes met from afar across the high tower.
Yu Xianqing suddenly shouted: “Watch out!”
Zelan’s wrist flipped, executing a one-handed sword flower as he sheathed his blade. Simultaneously, his other hand snapped out a gun, a single bullet collapsing the head of the sneak attacker.
At that moment, a small aircraft suddenly appeared in the sky, its wings sliding open to reveal countless turrets beneath.
“Fire!” Zelan ordered sternly.
The artillery fire instantly drew away a large portion of the pirates’ offensive power. Zelan dodged the laser beams heading toward him, nimbly flipped off his horse, and drew the Star Sword once again.
Perhaps they never imagined Zelan would be so insane as to raid the tower with only fifty men. The pirates’ starships hadn’t returned to harbor yet, and they didn’t even have time to bring out their heavy weaponry before Zelan was taking their heads with his sword.
Yu Xianqing watched the battle below, his heart beating fast.
Suddenly, he took a step back as a cold gun barrel was pressed against his temple, and a coarse, large hand firmly seized his neck, the force leaving him unable to breathe.
Yu Xianqing was roughly yanked by him, used as a shield as he was forced to move.
The pirate kicked open the large door, the door groaning “sizzle” under the burden.
The two stood one after the other on the high tower, the wind wailing as they looked down upon a field of headless corpses.
…And Zelan, the only one standing in the center of the crowd, covered in bloodstains.
His normally neat and upright military uniform was soaked with blood, clinging to his body; it had even turned a deep, dark red. It was impossible to tell how many people he had killed along the way.
His curly hair was all combed back, completely exposing his smooth forehead. Beneath it, a pair of eyes deep with rage were vividly present, like a pair of flickering blue flames.
The pirate let out a disgusting laugh behind Yu Xianqing.
“Does the Prince think that barging in and killing a few people will cause me serious injury? Besides, you went through all this trouble just because you wanted to take the human back, didn’t you?”
Zelan looked up. His human was wearing clothes so thin they were almost transparent, threatened at gunpoint by a rugged pirate. His lips were pale and even chapped, yet he had a pair of calm and bright eyes, staring at him without blinking.
The anger that couldn’t be suppressed since the very beginning reached its peak at this moment upon seeing Yu Xianqing’s bedraggled state.
Zelan gripped the laser sword tightly, the hilt making an overwhelmed “crackling” sound as he literally squeezed a crack into it.
If looks could kill, the pirate would have been sliced into pieces by now.
“Did they abuse you?”
Zelan’s voice was very hoarse. Unlike thirst, it felt more like a suppressed roar.
The cold gun barrel pressed deep into his temple, sinking into the flesh. The pirate’s disgusting breath sprayed against the back of his neck as he whispered a threat: “You know what you should say.”
Yu Xianqing shook his head at Zelan. Sri Lanka had just breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Yu Xianqing speak softly.
“It doesn’t hurt.”
Sri Lanka: “…!”
Just two short words, but they easily made Zelan’s eyes redden instantly. He had hacked and killed all the way here on horseback without losing control, the only belief in his heart being to find Yu Xianqing quickly and take him back.
But now, he heard the human could only force himself to say it didn’t hurt.
His heart felt like a shrunken sponge, suddenly unable to supply blood; every beat brought a sour, aching pain.
Was he still too late?
Zelan’s eyes were bloodshot, looking as if he were about to explode into murder, but only Yu Xianqing knew that this was the precursor to crying.
“What the fuck are you talking about!” The pirate was both angry and anxious. “I didn’t harm you!”
Before Yu Xianqing could speak, Zelan was furious:
“You dare call him that one more time and see what happens!? Put that gun down for me! I’ll hack you to death!”
The pirate’s eyes darted around: “Little Prince, do you think I’m stupid? Even if I miscalculated today, I can give the person back to you first, but we have to wait until my personal guards arrive!”
This entire star sector was the pirates’ territory. He had already sent a signal for backup; in a few minutes, starships carrying guns and cannons would arrive.
When that happened, even if he were a prince, he would be buried here!
“You mother—”
Zelan’s fist clenched tighter and tighter. At this distance, if he fired lasers or threw shells, there was a high possibility of accidental injury.
The human was held in the hands of a two-meter-tall orc, looking fragile and innocent by comparison.
Looking at Zelan’s anxious and conflicted gaze, Yu Xianqing suddenly sighed.
“Zelan, don’t worry about me. Fire.”
Yu Xianqing’s eyes held colors of comfort and gentleness. Zelan froze for a moment, then shook his head: “No.”
“But I’m uncomfortable.”
Yu Xianqing moved, and Sri Lanka nervously pinned him down, gritting his teeth: “Stop playing tricks! I haven’t done anything to you!”
“You have another gun pressed against me down there,” Yu Xianqing said.
“…”
Sri Lanka still hadn’t reacted when Zelan instantly realized what Yu Xianqing was saying and fired a volley:
“Bitch! I’ll definitely castrate you!”
The pirate didn’t expect this lunatic Zelan would actually dare to fire. The bullet grazed his ear and hammered into the wall behind him with a “whoosh,” making a bone-numbing sound. His ear instantly felt burning hot.
Because Yu Xianqing was there, Zelan could only perform a “human-outline” style attack.
Even so, it caught the pirate off guard, making him dodge in panic. He pulled Yu Xianqing in front of him again, shouting with a show of strength while being weak inside: “Aren’t you afraid the human will get hurt!?”
After this ordeal, the strength of his grip was forced to weaken as he invested more energy into the standoff with Zelan. Yu Xianqing’s hand, which had gone numb from being pressed, moved quietly.
Zelan fired while raging: “With that dog-like appearance of yours, you still want to fight me for my person? If you have the guts, get down here!”
The pirate also roared: “Do you think I’m fucking stupid?”
“Dumbass.”
A curse suddenly caught Sri Lanka’s attention.
“What did you say?” He looked at the seemingly weak human in front of him in disbelief, only to hear Yu Xianqing turn his face slightly as his well-shaped lips uttered the word again: “Dumbass.”
The pirate’s temper flared instantly. “You mother—”
“Zelan!”
Yu Xianqing suddenly called out.
At the same moment, a bullet accurately pierced the pirate’s ear.
“Ah!!”
The pirate’s face contorted in pain. With a flip of Yu Xianqing’s wrist, which had regained its strength, a sharp blade appeared in his palm at some unknown time and accurately pierced the other’s heart.
“Since you love your mother so much, go underground and stay with her.”
Sri Lanka stumbled back two steps, clutching his heart where a large hole had been opened. His other hand lifted stubbornly, intending to shoot Yu Xianqing even on the brink of death.
Yu Xianqing was quick-eyed and swift-handed, snatching his gun. The muzzle flipped nimbly and aimed at his forehead.
With a “bang,” brain matter splattered.
Sri Lanka fell over with a face full of disbelief.
A silver-tailed dagger was stuck in his chest, the tail end trembling slightly, ethereal and sharp.
The corpse was missing a large part of its head, and even brain matter flowed out of the broken hole.
Yu Xianqing, splattered with blood, frowned with some disgust. He didn’t move away immediately; instead, he decisively pried the large blue gemstone off the gun and quickly stuffed it into the only place on his body that could hold anything… his underwear.
Zelan, who had hurried to the tower, did not notice this scene. As soon as he reached the top, he flew over and embraced him.
Yu Xianqing hugged Zelan back, only to realize the other’s body was trembling slightly.
After escaping danger and embracing the human, even his voice carried a crying tone.
“I thought I almost wouldn’t be able to find you…”
Weren’t you acting incredibly arrogant just a moment ago? Why are you so aggrieved now, like an abandoned big cat.
Inwardly complaining aside, thinking about how the other person risked his life for him, Yu Xianqing couldn’t help but soften his heart. He wiped the stains from his hands onto his clothes and then rubbed the back of the other’s head, stroking from the ears all the way down to the back of the neck.
“I’m right here. It’s okay, I’m okay.”
Human captured, cat comes to the rescue. The kitty patrol did a great job.
However, both of them carried an inescapable smell of blood. Yu Xianqing couldn’t stand the smell. After Zelan’s stress period stabilized, he gave Zelan a push.
“We should leave quickly. When the pirates’ starship arrives, none of us will be able to leave.”
“Albert is leading the army to attack this planet; they won’t be able to make it over.”
Zelan’s voice was muffled.
“I applied for support from nearby systems. I am now the commander-in-chief. I can’t go to Nightingale Star recently; I have to stay here.”
He was truly angry this time. Originally, this star sector was considered a black zone under Imperial jurisdiction. As long as the pirates weren’t excessive, they would turn a blind eye.
But this time, they truly provoked someone they shouldn’t have. Even if Zelan wasn’t a favored prince, after so many years in the military, the military power in his hands might not necessarily be less than El’s.
Furthermore, as soon as it was mentioned that the human was kidnapped, all the military officers in the surrounding systems were enraged and volunteered to join their team to attack this star sector.
Zelan hadn’t expected that Yu Xianqing was quite popular.
Zelan didn’t say most of these things out loud. His tone was muffled, a bit choked up, low and hoarse. He sounded like he was really about to cry, holding himself together by a thread of stubbornness.
“Then we have to take a bath first, right?” Yu Xianqing felt like laughing at his voice. He wanted to see his expression, but Zelan held him down tightly, not letting him look.
“What’s wrong with letting me hug you for a while?” Zelan seemed displeased, burying his face in the human’s neck, nuzzling like a clingy cat. “I don’t want to get up.”
The fifty soldiers he brought were cleaning the battlefield. Many orcs saw the two embracing on the high tower and cast looks of either envy or curiosity.
Yu Xianqing: “But our bodies are very dirty. Doesn’t the Prince want to take a bath first?”
Zelan pretended not to hear and ignored him. He had barely closed his eyes for these three days; the journey here had been far too exhausting. Now, leaning on Yu Xianqing, the feeling of fatigue instantly swept over his entire mind. He wished he could turn into his original form and curl up in the human’s arms, scratching his sweater.
Yu Xianqing looked at his ears, which were twitching but seemingly unable to understand words, and felt more and more like laughing. Glancing sideways at the somewhat terrifying corpse on the floor, he quietly used his foot to kick the body further away.
Finally, he let out a mock sigh.
“What a pity. I originally wanted to take a mandarin duck bath with Prince Zelan, but now it seems—”
Zelan’s round ears instantly perked up.
