I'm a Professional at Being a Scumbag [Quick Wear] - Chapter 22
The kiss was still domineering and forceful, filled with an overwhelming desire for control. Le Yi felt the unhealed wounds on her lips tear open again, a slight sting accompanying the sensation.
The air in her mouth was plundered, leaving her suffocating. Her head spun, and the strength drained slowly from her limbs, making them go weak.
Chu Qiao held her up, her hands pressed against Le Yi’s waist and the back of her neck. She pressed down with relentless force, as if trying to merge their bodies together, to become one flesh.
A sound from somewhere in the hallway triggered the motion-sensor lights. The blinding light snapped Le Yi back to her senses. She shoved Chu Qiao away, her gaze cold and detached.
Chu Qiao seemed stung by the coldness in Le Yi’s eyes, her lips trembling as if she was about to cry.
“Sister, don’t hate me.”
“I won’t ask for anything else. Just let me stay by your side, okay?”
Le Yi looked at her cautious demeanor, not entirely unmoved. But how long would she remain trapped in this cycle of romance? When would she finally become the heroine she was meant to be?
She had already wasted over twenty years in this world. All her previous missions combined hadn’t lasted as long as this one.
Le Yi couldn’t say she felt nothing for Chu Qiao, but it wasn’t enough to willingly waste her time.
She longed to grab Chu Qiao by the shoulders and roar, Snap out of it! You’re supposed to be following a great heroine’s script, not becoming a lovesick fool!
After calming herself, Le Yi spoke softly, “Chu Qiao, you’re an adult now. You need to take responsibility for your choices.”
To Chu Qiao, these words felt like a declaration of rejection from Le Yi herself. Panicked, she reached out to grab Le Yi but was evaded.
“Go. The house is yours. We…”
Before she could finish the sentence, “We won’t see each other again”—Chu Qiao lunged forward. If not for the wall behind them, both would have crashed to the floor.
Le Yi slammed hard against the wall, her back aching from the impact. Unaware, Chu Qiao, her eyes red, wrapped her arms around Le Yi, nuzzling her shoulder like a big, clingy puppy.
“I was too impulsive before. My mind wasn’t clear, and I acted that way. Please forgive me.”
At the time, fury had consumed her completely, erasing all reason. All she’d wanted was to keep Le Yi by her side, to see her every moment.
Seeing that Le Yi wasn’t speaking, Chu Qiao nudged her with her nose, acting very affectionate.
“Sister~”
Le Yi almost reached out to stroke her fluffy head but stopped herself just in time.
“I’m not angry with you, but you probably won’t need me to take care of you anymore.”
This was the next harsh blow. Once Chu Qiao understood, she should focus solely on her career.
Chu Qiao abruptly straightened up, staring at her with a deep, pleading gaze.
“What does this mean? Sister, I don’t understand.”
Her voice trembled on the verge of tears, yet she still managed to look innocent and charming.
Le Yi maintained a deliberately indifferent expression, her face unyielding.
“I don’t want you anymore. Do you understand?”
Chu Qiao’s face paled, tears streaming down her cheeks and splashing heavily onto the floor.
“Why don’t you want me? I’ve always been so good, haven’t I?”
Le Yi thought to herself, This is just how the mission goes. Whether you’re good or not, this outcome is inevitable.
“Go back and focus on your work.”
Unable to push Chu Qiao away, Le Yi slipped out from under her arm and walked home.
Well, I’ve been a jerk. Even though I’m not purely offensive anymore, the mission must still be progressing. If Chu Qiao pulls herself together, she’ll be able to leave this world soon.
Le Yi walked to the door and entered the password lock. There was no movement behind her; Chu Qiao seemed to have fallen behind.
She didn’t dare look back, afraid that seeing Chu Qiao’s pitiful expression would soften her heart.
With a click, the door opened. But the moment Le Yi’s hand touched the doorknob, she was tackled in a bear hug, and the door slammed shut again.
Le Yi’s anger flared. She turned to glare at Chu Qiao, who met her gaze wordlessly, her eyes red-rimmed. One arm was firmly around Le Yi’s waist, while the other hand was less than proper.
“Chu Qiao, have you gone mad?!”
It was dinner time, and their neighbors might come out at any moment. That little brat…
Chu Qiao ignored everything else, leaning down to suck kisses on the back of Le Yi’s neck. Her sharp canines scraped against the skin, impossible to ignore.
“Mmm,” she mumbled, “you’re all I care about.”
Le Yi froze. She hadn’t expected Chu Qiao’s obsession to reach this point.
This made things even more complicated.
Chu Qiao acted recklessly, completely disregarding the circumstances.
Le Yi struggled fiercely, but just like before, it was futile. Chu Qiao held her even tighter, growing bolder the more she moved.
“This only makes me hate you more.”
Chu Qiao’s hand paused, and she looked up from the back of Le Yi’s neck. “Sister, open the door,” she whispered.
Le Yi, afraid of being seen, entered the password.
The moment the door opened, Chu Qiao rushed inside, forcing Le Yi forward. Before she could reach the sofa, she stumbled onto the carpet.
Chu Qiao pinned her down, her crimson eyes burning with unmistakable obsession and madness.
“Does Sister hate me?”
Her voice sounded unnerving, carrying an unsettling, almost deranged quality.
Le Yi pressed her hands against Chu Qiao’s chest, her refusal clear.
“If you keep this up, I will hate you.”
Chu Qiao’s grip loosened. “Then what must I do to stop Sister from hating me?”
Seizing the opportunity, Le Yi pushed her away, retreated some distance, and sat cross-legged.
“Don’t fixate on me. Focus on your career, grow and strengthen the company, reclaim the Chu family’s legacy, and then I won’t hate you.”
Chu Qiao understood. Le Yi wanted her to leave.
“Would you be happy if I left you?”
Le Yi sensed she might have misinterpreted, but she was too weary to explain. She nodded in silent acknowledgment.
Chu Qiao let out a cold scoff, her eyes darkening and her expression turning bleak, as if it might shatter at any moment.
“I can’t do it. Sister, you can keep hating me.”
She moved closer to Le Yi, who sprang up and tried to run away, only to be caught and both of them falling onto the sofa.
Chu Qiao pinned Le Yi’s leg with her own, biting wildly at her neck, her rationality seemingly having abandoned her.
Le Yi grabbed her hair, trying to calm her down, but Chu Qiao kissed her without flinching, as if she couldn’t feel the pain.
Le Yi’s neck throbbed with pain and tingled, her strength waning as she failed to stop Chu Qiao.
Chu Qiao left a trail of red marks on her neck, biting her collarbone and worsening the already scarred skin.
Feeling utterly helpless, Le Yi gave up resisting and simply lay back, letting Chu Qiao do as she pleased.
Sensing her submission, Chu Qiao lifted her head from Le Yi’s neck, her eyes bloodshot like a rabbit’s.
“You’ve lost all hope in me, haven’t you?”
Exhausted, Le Yi lowered her gaze and asked, “Then what do you want me to do?”
Before Chu Qiao could speak, tears streamed down her face, each drop landing on Le Yi’s skin with a warm burn.
“Don’t be angry,” she sobbed. “I won’t do anything you hate anymore.”
Chu Qiao buried her face in Le Yi’s chest, her shoulders trembling slightly, quickly soaking a large patch of her skin.
Why is she crying again? Le Yi thought. Wasn’t she the one being bullied?
Le Yi poked her shoulder. “Stop crying. Let’s talk.”
Chu Qiao kept her head down. “You want to kick me out,” she mumbled. “I won’t listen.”
Le Yi choked. She did indeed want to kick her out.
After another moment of silence, Le Yi felt Chu Qiao’s grip loosen. She sat up, holding her.
“Qiaoqiao, look at me.”
Chu Qiao lifted her head from Le Yi’s arms, her eyes red and swollen, tears still clinging to her cheeks.
Le Yi’s heart softened, her voice gentling despite herself. “Don’t do this anymore. You can’t force me, understand?”
Chu Qiao nodded, then shook her head, sniffling. “If I let go of you, you’ll run away. I can’t live without you.”
“We can both live without each other. You’re just more dependent on me. Once you get used to it, you’ll realize whether I’m here or not doesn’t matter.”
Tears welled up in Chu Qiao’s eyes again as she clung tightly to her. “How could it not matter?! I can’t even sleep without you. If you leave me, I’ll die—I know I will!”
She spoke frantically, then kissed Le Yi wildly, pressing so hard her lips went numb.
Le Yi, frustrated by Chu Qiao’s refusal to listen, tried to push her away. Strangely, this time Chu Qiao offered no resistance and was easily pinned down.
Le Yi held her wrists behind her back and said sternly, “Calm down.”
Chu Qiao turned to look at her, her eyes filled with a pitiful plea. “Sister, I won’t do anything you don’t like. Please don’t make me leave.”
She arched her back and nuzzled into Le Yi’s embrace, her movements filled with suggestive undercurrents. “As long as I can stay by your side, I’ll gladly be the bottom forever.”
As she spoke, she reached out and took hold of Le Yi’s hand…
Le Yi couldn’t understand how things had escalated to this point, but she knew she was being seduced by this little minx again. The warmth of Chu Qiao’s palm against hers made rational conversation nearly impossible.
Seeing Le Yi’s expression freeze, Chu Qiao knew her tactic was working and redoubled her efforts to entice her.
“Sister, don’t leave me~”
Le Yi remained silent for a moment, but in the end, she couldn’t resist…
How can I claim to be the calm one when I’m the one losing control? How can I ever set clear boundaries this way?
Chu Qiao closed her eyes, shielding the complex emotions swirling within her.
Sister has always been the type to respond to gentleness, not force. Pressuring her only backfires. Showing a bit of vulnerability and putting myself in a weaker position is the wise approach.
Suddenly, she felt a surge of resolve. Gripping the sofa cushion tightly, she half-opened her eyes to gaze at Le Yi, her expression dripping with coquetry.
“Sister, you won’t leave me, will you?”
Le Yi didn’t want to answer, so she simply pressed her lips against Chu Qiao’s, muffling any further words.
Tears welled up in Chu Qiao’s eyes as she rasped, “Sister, hold me.”
This insecurity… Only when she’s pressed against me do I feel like she truly belongs to me.
Le Yi stared at her, grabbed her hair, and kissed her, silencing all her words.
I have to remain aloof. If I give her everything she asks for, it’ll reignite her hope.
Kissed into a daze, Chu Qiao still managed to murmur, “Hold me…”
Le Yi pretended not to hear, focusing intently on bringing this absurdity to a swift end.
Chu Qiao slumped weakly on the sofa, her eyes unfocused for a long moment before they finally refocused, gazing at Le Yi with dewy eyes. “Hold me…” she whispered weakly.
Her voice was slightly hoarse, her tone soft and helpless like a child begging for candy. Le Yi closed her eyes, leaned down, and gathered Chu Qiao into her arms.
I’ve lost. Completely lost.
Chu Qiao looped her arms around Le Yi’s neck and nestled against her, feeling so pliant in Le Yi’s embrace that she seemed more like a plush toy than a person. Though she had long limbs, her slender frame, tightly covered in supple flesh, made her feel like a soft, fluffy bundle.
Le Yi pulled a blanket from the side and draped it over Chu Qiao, thinking this was the perfect opportunity to negotiate. But just as she began to call her name, a finger pressed against her lips.
Chu Qiao’s slender fingers covered her mouth. She leaned down to kiss Le Yi’s rounded shoulder, then rested her chin against her collarbone and asked innocently, “Sister, are you tired? Then let me take over.”
Le Yi couldn’t resist such provocation. She opened her mouth and bit Chu Qiao’s finger, her eyes gradually darkening as she stared at the dazzling white before her.
Chu Qiao’s goal was achieved, a faint light flashing in her eyes as she pressed her lips to Le Yi’s ear, allowing her to hear every breath clearly.
The shallow breaths brushed against her heart like feathers, making her heartbeat quicken and stirring an urgent desire to act.
Just as she was lost in a daze, Chu Qiao took her earlobe between her lips, her voice drifting softly:
“…”
Le Yi felt her mind explode, the last shred of rationality snapping.
Chu Qiao was like a glittering treasure. How could anyone resist wanting to pocket her?
So she was simply making a reasonable choice, not succumbing to temptation.
Le Yi justified her actions, then cast aside any thoughts of her mission and focused on opening her treasure.
Chu Qiao clung to her neck, pressed tightly against her, finally feeling a flicker of security.
No matter how despicable the means, Le Yi had kept her.
That was enough.
Le Yi knew exactly how to handle Chu Qiao. Before long, Chu Qiao was limp in her arms.
She turned to ask Chu Qiao, “What did you just say?”
Chu Qiao bit her lower lip, her eyes unfocused. Hearing her voice, she looked up, her gaze filled with bewitching allure.
Le Yi, captivated by the affectionate expression on her face, felt her heart flutter. In a moment of impulsive surrender, she kissed her.
The softness of Chu Qiao’s lips, smooth and resilient like jelly, left Le Yi unable to pull away.
Though dazed, Chu Qiao instinctively responded, their lips entwining as they exchanged breaths.
She was so obedient, occasionally emitting kitten-like sounds that made Le Yi want to protect her.
The sofa, unable to bear their weight, sank deeply, its cushions spilling onto the floor. The fabric, as if soaked with water, darkened into a deeper hue.
As the night deepened, a waning crescent moon hung in the sky, casting its cool silver light.
Le Yi’s rational mind returned. She glanced down at the kitten-like figure sprawled in her arms and inwardly cursed herself.
Now I’m stuck again.
Chu Qiao lifted her head from Le Yi’s embrace, the crimson at the corners of her eyes blending with the blush on her cheeks, creating a vibrancy more vivid than a flower.
She stared at Le Yi for a moment, then leaned down.
“Sister is tired?”
“Then it’s my turn.”
