I Just Want to Spoil and Run Away with the Abused Female Lead [Quick Transmigration] - Chapter 25
Was she really destined to die young? If she hadn’t been forcibly bound to the system, who knows how many more years she could have lived. Maybe she’d even outlive Lin Yi by a decade.
Cat Ears: “…”
Stop cursing, stop cursing!
Lin Yi let out a light hiss. “I never told you not to live. If you’ve got the guts, prove it by living a few more years for me.”
Lin Yi’s tone was as mocking as it could get. Shi Xingrao gritted her teeth, glaring at her. “You tell me to live, so I live? If you want to compete over lifespan, go challenge a turtle! Why compete with me?”
“Is that fun?”
The woman’s crimson lips curled into a faint, ambiguous smile. “Of course it’s fun if I win.”
Shi Xingrao: “I’m going to tell my sister that you’re bullying me.”
Lin Yi’s smile deepened, her taunts flowing effortlessly. “Can’t win an argument, so you run to your sister. How useless.”
Shi Xingrao: “…”
Shi Xingrao shot Lin Yi a fierce glare. “I…”
Lin Yi waved her hand cheerfully. “Go on, go home and collect your laundry. It’s about to rain.”
“Alright, alright, I know you’re not losing the argument you just need to collect your laundry.”
Shi Xingrao picked up her bag and walked away without looking back, unable to resist complaining to Cat Ears. “Is it really good for the Quick Transmigration Bureau to create a character like this, considering the toll it takes on the transmigrators’ breast nodules?””
Cat Ears choked up for a moment. Honestly, Lin Yi wasn’t supposed to be like this at all.
According to the character template, she was supposed to be aloof and elegant, through and through.
Cat Ears couldn’t resist making a snide remark. “Sister Mao, did Yu Chen used to tease you like this too?”
That one sentence seemed to hit a nerve. Shi Xingrao bristled. “No! How could Yu Chen ever out-tease me? Do you really think that’s possible? Every time we met, I was the one leaving her speechless, okay?”
Ah, this…
If Shi Xingrao reacted with such a triple denial, it was probably true.
“By the way, we’re helping Lin Yi tomorrow. You handle optimizing her game for her. Duoduo, since you have so much free time to chat, you must be very confident about tomorrow’s work, right?”
Shi Xingrao sat on the rocking chair, gently shaking the bell tied to it. The bell emitted a crisp, pleasant sound, and a sense of tranquil serenity slowly filled the air.
Cat Ears, however, was in no mood for serenity. Its little cat face fell. “Didn’t you say you were going to help Lin Yi? How did it become my job?”
Shi Xingrao blinked innocently. “Duoduo, I gave you such a powerful golden finger and didn’t even keep one for myself. How could you not help me?”
Cat Ears: “…”
Ugh, this scammer deceived its feelings, and now she’s tricking it into doing hard labor. Fine then, the fingers it finally grew are going to be worn down to nothing again.
Shi Xingrao casually transferred 1,000 emotional points to Cat Ears. “Payment. Go buy some lollipops.”
Seeing the 1,000 emotional points, Cat Ears forgot all about its oppression-induced sadness. It nearly ran over to hug and kiss Shi Xingrao, ready to call her “Mommy.”
Shi Xingrao dodged in disgust. “Don’t kiss me. Only my sister gets to kiss me.”
With that, Shi Xingrao turned and walked from the balcony into her room, a smile still playing on her lips. She was clearly in a pretty good mood.
Lin Yi, dressed in pajamas, stood on the balcony holding a bottle of red wine. The cold wind whistled past, rustling the bamboo grove beside the villa.
Her hair was tousled by the wind, and the clothes hanging outside were also blown into disarray. The once radiant beauty now revealed a hint of fragility.
Lin Yi didn’t quite understand why she felt an emptiness inside when she was certain Shi Xingrao was leaving.
For some reason, she always struggled to find a sense of authenticity in this world, as if it were a pre-programmed game where she was merely an NPC her actions logical yet mechanical.
It wasn’t until Shi Xingrao appeared that she felt she had broken free from the program.
Shi Xingrao made her feel intrigued. Teasing Shi Xingrao and receiving all her reactions made everything feel incredibly real to her.
Lin Yi stood in the cold wind a while longer before finally returning to sleep.
Lin Shuangran returned in the evening. The first thing she did upon arriving home was to ask the housekeeper, “Where’s Raorao?”
The housekeeper took Lin Shuangran’s coat and replied, “Miss Shi is probably asleep. She went upstairs quite early today.”
Lin Shuangran gently pushed the door open and saw Shi Xingrao curled up on the bed, clearly asleep, though not very peacefully her hand was still exposed outside the covers.
A soft smile curved Lin Shuangran’s lips as she walked to the bedside to tuck Shi Xingrao in. But the moment her hand touched Shi Xingrao’s wrist, the girl wrapped her arms around Lin Shuangran’s waist, lifting her head to say, “Sister, why did you take so long to come back? I’ve been waiting for you for ages.”
Calling out “sister” again and again, her beautiful eyes reflecting the light, Shi Xingrao’s words softened Lin Shuangran’s gaze.
Lin Shuangran gently tapped the girl’s forehead. “Is it fun to trick me, Raorao?”
Shi Xingrao shivered from the cold touch and pouted pitifully. “Sister doesn’t like Raorao anymore. You’re using your icy hand on me.”
It was only when Lin Shuangran felt the warmth of Shi Xingrao’s forehead that she remembered she had just come in from outside, her hands still cold. “Sor ”
“Hold? Hold sister?”
Before Lin Shuangran could finish her apology, Shi Xingrao deliberately misinterpreted her words and pulled her onto the bed, replacing any explanation with a gasp of surprise. Clinging to her like a little puppy, Shi Xingrao held her close and placed Lin Shuangran’s hand against her own chest. “Then, as punishment, sister has to sleep with me tonight.”
Shi Xingrao, the little rascal cheeky and clingy, yet impossible not to adore.
She must have slept for a while, as her porcelain-like face was flushed with warmth, probably awakened by the sound of the car parking and pretending to be asleep to trick her.
Shi Xingrao’s long, curled lashes lowered as she stared at Lin Shuangran’s lips, unable to resist swallowing.
After gazing for a moment, Shi Xingrao whispered, “Sister, my lips are so dry. Is it winter already? There’s so little moisture in the air.”
Blinking her eyes, she continued, “Sister, why aren’t your lips dry?”
They looked so soft she really wanted to kiss them.
“Sister, can I touch them?”
At first, Lin Shuangran thought Shi Xingrao was genuinely talking about the dry weather and even considered adding a humidifier to the room. But when Shi Xingrao asked, “Can I touch them?” she belatedly realized that Shi Xingrao wasn’t talking about chapped lips or the lack of moisture in the air.
For a moment, Lin Shuangran also felt the air had grown too dry, dry enough to stir a thirst within her.
She nodded gently, silently permitting and even anticipating Shi Xingrao’s touch.
The girl, having received permission, suddenly grew restrained. She merely leaned in, her lips lightly brushing against hers.
The sudden shift to such innocent restraint in the puppy-like girl was particularly tantalizing.
Lin Shuangran lifted her gaze to Shi Xingrao, softly murmuring “Raorao” in a low voice. As if overcome by deep emotion, she tilted her head up and kissed Shi Xingrao in the same way she had just been kissed.
That single utterance of “Raorao” from Lin Shuangran snapped the last thread of Shi Xingrao’s self-control.
Unable to hold back, Shi Xingrao embraced her and kissed her without any technique first just lips pressed against lips, lingering and rubbing, then gradually deepening. When that soft tongue began its conquest, Lin Shuangran’s eyes widened abruptly, a shimmering moisture swirling within them pitiful yet beautiful.
Shi Xingrao hadn’t intended to be so impatient, not wanting to startle Lin Shuangran, but seeing her reaction, she couldn’t resist leaning in to kiss her again.
“Sister, do you like Raorao?”
