I Got A Girlfriend After Losing My Memory (Transmigration) - Chapter 30.1
Tao Ran froze, completely caught off guard by Tang Fuzhi’s words.
In her mind, Tang Fuzhi was still that shy, reserved girl who struggled to express her emotions.
Her first thought was that something must have happened.
Unable to move her hands while holding the girl, Tao Ran gently set Tang Fuzhi down on the office chair. She knelt on one knee to meet her eye level. “What’s wrong? Did something happen?”
Did Tang Fuyu say something?
Damn it, I was careless.
Tao Ran inwardly cursed herself.
Although Tang Fuyu was on her side and often tipped her off, she still knew too much about Tang Fuzhi’s life before her amnesia, while knowing nothing about Tang Fuzhi’s amnesia itself.
It would be perfectly normal to slip up and say something she shouldn’t.
Tao Ran’s nerves were stretched taut, but she forced herself to maintain a concerned expression. She couldn’t panic before Tang Fuzhi revealed anything.
Tang Fuzhi reached out and wrapped her arms around Tao Ran’s neck, nuzzling her fluffy head against Tao Ran’s chest like a lost kitten seeking comfort from someone she trusted. The instinctive display of affection made Tao Ran’s heart flutter.
The young woman’s sweet, coquettish voice purred, “Nothing’s wrong. I just missed you.”
She hadn’t realized how much she missed Tao Ran until she actually spoke with Tang Fuyu. After finding no trace of familiarity in Tang Fuyu, her longing for Tao Ran had intensified.
It felt like the day she first woke up in this world. The surroundings, the flowers and trees, even the family she’d known for over twenty years, none of it stirred any sense of connection within her.
Only Tao Ran could.
It was as if Tao Ran were her sole reason for being in this world.
Even when she went shopping yesterday, she had missed Tao Ran. But that longing had been more about missing someone who had been a constant presence in her life. Today, in this unfamiliar world, Tao Ran seemed to be the only source of familiarity and warmth.
Thinking this, Tang Fuzhi added, “I miss you even more than yesterday.”
She wasn’t one for expressing her feelings easily. The moment the words left her lips, her cheeks flushed slightly, and she instinctively turned away, avoiding Tao Ran’s intense gaze.
Though she didn’t know what had happened between them that afternoon, the girl’s words clearly pleased Tao Ran. The tension in her heart slowly eased.
Tao Ran cupped the girl’s cheeks in her hands. Over the past few weeks, Tang Fuzhi’s face had finally gained a little weight, her jawline softening slightly, and her long lashes fluttering gently.
Tao Ran’s eyes deepened, taking on an ambiguous, knowing glint.
Tang Fuzhi suddenly understood. She closed her eyes, and Tao Ran smiled as she leaned in for a kiss.
The woman’s lips captured Tang Fuzhi’s lower lip, her slightly sharp teeth gently grazing the girl’s tender flesh. Tang Fuzhi instinctively parted her lips slightly in response.
The smile in Tao Ran’s eyes grew more intense as she pressed her advantage, claiming her territory without restraint.
The air grew humid, the movements more urgent.
Tang Fuzhi was forced to tilt her head back, her hands gripping Tao Ran’s lapels tightly as she helplessly endured the onslaught, her spine pressed against the office chair’s backrest.
Her breathing grew ragged, while Tao Ran’s breaths deepened and grew heavier in her ear.
Tang Fuzhi felt the hand that had been cupping her face slowly slide down to her waist. Realizing she was wearing a dress today, Tao Ran’s hand paused slightly.
For some inexplicable reason, Tang Fuzhi let out a small sigh of relief.
But in the next instant, Tao Ran’s hand moved to the hem of her dress, her fingertips tracing the lace trim with a deepening gaze.
Tang Fuzhi startled, her eyes flying open, wide with alarm. She quickly reached out and grabbed Tao Ran’s wrist.
The most intimate thing they had ever done was last night, when Tao Ran had kissed the mole on her neck.
Aside from that, they had only ever kissed, never crossing any other boundaries. Tao Ran’s current actions genuinely startled Tang Fuzhi.
As if understanding the fear in Tang Fuzhi’s eyes, Tao Ran reached out and gently stroked her hair, as if reassuring her that she wouldn’t do anything she didn’t want.
Tao Ran truly acted as she had promised, her hand merely caressing Tang Fuzhi’s smooth calf without venturing higher.
Tang Fuzhi’s tense heart finally relaxed, and she looped her arms around Tao Ran’s neck, Tao Ran leaned in to meet her.
The kiss left Tang Fuzhi breathless, her mind blank. She didn’t even notice when her long blue dress had been lifted to her knees.
Still wary of the young woman’s potential anger upon regaining clarity, Tao Ran refrained from pushing further. She had always known her limits.
As the two were lost in their passionate embrace, a knock echoed through the room.
“President Tao, urgent documents.”
The outsider’s voice filtered through the door to Tang Fuzhi’s ears, snapping her awake. She whimpered, “S-someone’s here.”
The thought of He Ruo entering at any moment sent Tang Fuzhi into a panic, her body stiffening.
However, Tao Ran paid no heed to the so-called “urgent documents.” Instead, she playfully bit the tip of the young woman’s tongue, a gentle nip just firm enough to draw her attention back from the door.
“Don’t let your mind wander.”
When we’re kissing, don’t let your thoughts stray to anyone else.
She hated seeing anyone but herself in Tang Fuzhi’s eyes.
Tang Fuzhi glared at her, her eyes blazing with anger.
This isn’t about my mind wandering anymore. He Ruo needs me for something.
Though she didn’t understand what “urgent documents” meant, it sounded like a critical matter. What were they doing hiding in the office, kissing at a time like this?
Yet it was clear that President Tao, the head of the Tao Group, sometimes had a less clear head than someone as clueless as Tang Fuzhi.
Tang Fuzhi feared causing trouble, but the moment she tried to resist, Tao Ran pinned her hands behind her back with one hand, her legs trapped beneath the woman’s, leaving her utterly helpless and vulnerable.
Desperate, Tang Fuzhi steeled herself and bit down hard on the corner of Tao Ran’s lip, drawing blood.
“Hiss—”
As expected, the sharp pain made Tao Ran pause briefly. Just when Tang Fuzhi thought she might finally be released, Tao Ran’s eyes darkened, and she pressed her lips even harder against hers, kissing her with renewed intensity.
A faint metallic tang spread across Tang Fuzhi’s mouth, her brow furrowing slightly. She didn’t particularly care for the taste.
In stark contrast, Tao Ran’s expression gradually softened, her features relaxing. She relished the sensation, the kiss that had broken through the surface of Tang Fuzhi’s skin, as if it had brought them even closer.
Her teeth felt restless, yearning to bite something, like Tang Fuzhi’s lips.
To bite her lips, to break through her skin, to let their wounds meet, to exchange blood, to become intertwined, each within the other.
But these were just fantasies. Tao Ran couldn’t bear to hurt Tang Fuzhi, and more importantly, she feared Tang Fuzhi’s anger.
The last time she had bitten through her lip, Tang Fuzhi had been furious.
A sharp knock echoed through the room. “President Tao?”
Tao Ran met Tang Fuzhi’s angry gaze, her hand pausing mid-stroke on Tang Fuzhi’s thigh. With a reluctant sigh, she finally released the younger woman from her embrace.
The knocking persisted. Tang Fuzhi shot Tao Ran a venomous glare, smoothed down her skirt that had been hiked up to her thigh, hastily wiped her lips, and darted into the inner room.
Back in her own room, Tang Fuzhi’s first instinct was to check her reflection in the mirror.
The woman in the mirror had flushed cheeks and slightly moist eyes. Her lipstick was smeared from their kiss, giving her a decadent look. The faint metallic tang of blood still lingered in her nostrils. She swallowed, as if she could still taste Tao Ran’s blood. The spot on her thigh where Tao Ran had touched her burned faintly.
Just thinking about how fiercely they had kissed in the office made Tang Fuzhi’s face burn even hotter. Her heart still pounded from the breathless intensity of their encounter, refusing to calm down.
She turned on the faucet, trying to wipe the saliva from the corners of her mouth.
Suddenly, Tang Fuzhi lifted her head and stared at her reflection. The sound of water rushing down the sink and into the drain was especially loud in the quiet room.
Then it hit her: she hadn’t worn lipstick today. The lipstick on her lips was Tao Ran’s.
If her lips looked like this, how much more ravaged must Tao Ran’s lips be?
And while she was hiding in the bathroom to compose herself, Tao Ran had gone to meet He Ruo in that state.
Tang Fuzhi covered her face, already dreading the gossip that would spread about their office passion tomorrow.
Aaaah, how could this happen?
She felt like she’d never be able to face anyone again.
Tao Ran smiled wryly, wiping the blood from her lips. “Come in,” she called out.
He Ruo entered to find President Tao’s cheeks flushed, a cut at the corner of her mouth, and smeared lipstick. Tang Fuzhi was nowhere to be seen.
He Ruo’s lips twitched. No wonder no one answered when I knocked earlier.
Women in love are so different, reeking of that sickeningly sweet romance.
Noticing He Ruo’s gaze, Tao Ran’s smile faded as she casually settled into her office chair, still warm from Tang Fuzhi’s presence.
Glancing at He Ruo with a hint of warning, she asked, “What is it?”
