I Got A Girlfriend After Losing My Memory (Transmigration) - Chapter 21
Tang Fuzhi gazed at the tender, white crab meat, utterly unable to resist. “Aren’t you eating any?”
She had to admit, the crab tasted even better when dipped in the broth, infused with a rich, garlicky aroma.
Tao Ran, noticing the pure bliss in Tang Fuzhi’s eyes, replied, “Mm, I understand.”
Her hands continued to deftly peel another crab.
Soon, another perfectly peeled crab appeared before Tang Fuzhi.
Feeling a little embarrassed by being constantly fed, Tang Fuzhi peeled one herself and offered it to Tao Ran.
Tao Ran paused, slightly surprised by the gesture.
But a faint smile quickly deepened at the corners of her lips as she leaned forward and took a bite of the crab meat.
Tao Ran’s sharp teeth gently grazed Tang Fuzhi’s delicate fingers. She could even feel the warmth of Tao Ran’s soft lips and the faintness of her breath.
Tang Fuzhi froze for a moment, startled. Tao Ran’s pointed teeth lightly rubbed against the tender pad of her finger. It didn’t hurt, just tickled a little.
She quickly withdrew her hand and glared at Tao Ran.
Even when glaring, the young woman’s eyes remained soft and gentle, not at all intimidating. Her cheeks puffed out, making her look even more adorable, tempting someone to pinch them.
Normally, Tao Ran would have pinched them without hesitation. But Tang Fuzhi was clearly annoyed, so Tao Ran rubbed her nose, knowing when to stop.
She resumed peeling crab, offering it as an apology.
Tang Fuzhi huffed twice, but ultimately forgave Tao Ran, swayed by the delicious crab.
After all, while crab was delicious, peeling it was a major hassle!
After this incident, Tang Fuzhi refused to let Tao Ran peel another crab for her.
Who knew what other strange things she might do!
At midday in the summer heat, Tang Fuzhi was hard at work, while Tao Ran quietly smiled as she peeled crabs for her.
Attractive people always draw attention, and with two of them together, the effect was doubled.
A young couple at the next table watched Tao Ran’s actions, the girl glaring enviously at her boyfriend as if to say, “Look at how other people’s partners treat them!”
The boyfriend rubbed his nose and silently peeled a crab for his girlfriend, offering a conciliatory smile.
A whole basin of crabs looked plentiful, but once shelled, there wasn’t much meat left. Tang Fuzhi felt like she was just getting into the rhythm when they were gone.
She gazed longingly at the mountain of crab shells piling up on their table, the lingering garlic aroma still in her mouth.
I want more…
Tang Fuzhi looked up at Tao Ran, her watery eyes pleading. She didn’t say a word, just wore a pitiful expression.
For the sake of good food, she’d even forgotten about Tao Ran’s earlier bite.
Tao Ran silently added more rice to her bowl, a hint of helplessness in her voice. “You’ve only just recovered. It’s not good to eat so much spicy, heaty food.”
Tao Ran usually tried to accommodate Tang Fuzhi’s requests, except when it came to things that could harm her health.
Bringing her to eat this today was already a reward for her being well-behaved all week.
Though she had anticipated it, Tang Fuzhi still felt a pang of disappointment when Tao Ran refused her. She lowered her head, glanced at the plump grains of rice in her bowl, and quietly got up to wash her hands first.
The disposable gloves hadn’t completely blocked the crab’s pungent aroma.
Tao Ran’s hands were also messy. She followed Tang Fuzhi and said gently, “How about I make sweet and sour pork ribs for you tomorrow?”
Tang Fuzhi’s eyes lit up. She looked up at Tao Ran, surprised. “Really?!”
She knew Tao Ran was only looking out for her, but she couldn’t help craving the ribs. With the promise of sweet and sour pork ribs dangling before her, her unsatisfied appetite instantly perked up.
When the young girl smiled, her eyes sparkled like a sky full of stars.
Tao Ran’s fingers twitched slightly. She wanted to pat Tang Fuzhi’s head, but as she raised her hand, the lingering garlic scent on her jade-white fingertips stopped her.
She paused, then quietly withdrew her hand.

The next day, Tang Fuzhi woke up unusually early, but Tao Ran was already up.
Seeing Tao Ran standing before her in a white V-neck blouse and a knee-length black skirt, dressed in such an uncharacteristically formal outfit, Tang Fuzhi felt a little dazed.
It was as if she had been transported back to the day they first met.
Back then, Tao Ran had also been dressed in a crisp, professional manner.
Though the clothes were different, the style was the same.
Perhaps because she was so used to seeing Tao Ran without makeup, the sudden appearance of her more mature look instantly amplified her presence.
Tang Fuzhi, who had been about to act cute and playful, suddenly felt a little intimidated.
Noticing Tang Fuzhi was awake, Tao Ran glanced back. The moment she saw her, the ice in her eyes melted, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously curved upward. “What’s wrong? Don’t recognize me?”
Seeing this familiar side of Tao Ran, Tang Fuzhi inexplicably felt a wave of relief wash over her.
The tension and unease that had been weighing on her heart vanished in that instant.
She stepped forward, sizing Tao Ran up and down. “It’s just rare to see you dressed so formally.”
After all, Tao Ran usually dressed casually around her, and she always loved showing off those long, pale legs.
Though she did enjoy looking.
Tao Ran pinched Tang Fuzhi’s cheek, which had finally gained a bit of weight. “I promised you I’d go to the company. Are you satisfied now?”
At the mention of this, Tang Fuzhi’s eyes curved into a bright smile, radiating pure satisfaction.
Tao Ran sighed, knowing Tang Fuzhi was only thinking of her. Still, the thought of being separated from Tang Fuzhi, even for work, left a lingering unease in her heart.
“Go wash up. I’ll introduce you to someone later.”
Tang Fuzhi was puzzled, but trusting Tao Ran, she didn’t press for answers.
By the time she finished washing up and came out, Tao Ran was already gone.
Her clothes for the day were laid out on the bed.
Tao Ran had picked them out.
Tao Ran had excellent taste, and when Tang Fuzhi was staying home, she usually chose casual, comfortable outfits.
That was why Tang Fuzhi rarely objected to Tao Ran’s choices.
After changing, Tang Fuzhi twirled in front of the mirror and noticed something odd.
Why does this outfit look so similar to Tao Ran’s style?
It made sense for Tao Ran to dress formally for work, but Tang Fuzhi was staying home. Why would she need to dress so formally too?
Tang Fuzhi pouted, feeling a bit annoyed.
While professional office attire wasn’t particularly uncomfortable, it certainly wasn’t as cozy as casual wear.
For the first time, she bypassed Tao Ran’s selection and chose a sporty, casual outfit instead.
Opening the door to the living room, Tang Fuzhi encountered a stranger for the first time in her own home.
The girl had her hair styled in adorable twin ponytails, wore a sailor uniform with a JK skirt, and stood no taller than 1.6 meters. Her round, youthful face was framed by a sweet smile, making her look every bit the soft girl type.
“Who’s this?” Tao Ran asked, her beautiful peach blossom eyes never leaving Tang Fuzhi since she’d appeared.
More accurately, they hadn’t left her clothes.
Tao Ran’s brow furrowed slightly as she stepped forward to stand before Tang Fuzhi, ignoring her question. She reached out to pinch Tang Fuzhi’s sleeve, her voice tinged with displeasure. “Why aren’t you wearing the outfit I prepared for you?”
