How Can Two Scummy Alphas Fall in Love - Chapter 1
Chapter 1
“One two three, one two three…”
The woman’s clear voice, like a violin, echoed gracefully in the dance studio. Every beat perfectly harmonized with the notes of the classical music.
Under the warm golden light, Han Fufu’s rosy lips curled slightly, her peerless profile shimmering in the glow. She raised her right hand high, gently holding the hand of the dancer opposite her, her pheromones radiating without concealment.
Their gazes tangled, pulled, and collided. The air was filled with the pheromones of a top-tier Alpha, completely masking the scent of the room’s incense.
Sandalwood—an indescribable scent. The fragrance was at times delicate and gentle, at times sharp and astringent, and at times bitter, spicy, and heavy.
At this very moment, this sandalwood-like pheromone was emitting a sweet and rich fragrance.
As the music neared its end, Han Fufu gazed at the dancer with gentle eyes. In the ambiguous atmosphere, the dancer couldn’t resist the urge to throw herself into her embrace.
The music abruptly and inappropriately stopped.
Han Fufu’s arm, which was circling her dance partner, withdrew simultaneously with the music’s sudden halt. She raised her hand and pressed her fingertip against the dancer’s lips. “Teacher, I must return to the capital. I’m very busy, and we won’t be seeing each other again. Let this separation be a permanent farewell.”
“Movie Queen Han, are you… joking?” The dancer was shocked. Everything had been so peaceful and beautiful just moments ago, so why this sudden, permanent goodbye?
She had been planning to use this opportunity to confess her deep feelings to Han Fufu.
Han Fufu turned and left without hesitation, a hint of flippancy in the smile on her lips. She spoke with feigned innocence, her back to the dance teacher. “Teacher, I’m not joking. I really must go back. All the scenes here are finished. With no special itinerary, I probably won’t be returning.”
“Movie Queen Han—” The dancer grew emotional, rushing forward to hug the departing Han Fufu, her voice choked with a humble plea. “I like you. My heart raced the moment I saw you. Over these three months of teaching you to dance, I’ve fallen hopelessly in love with you. Please, can you stay?”
“I’m sorry, my heart won’t race for you.” Han Fufu’s heart was calm as still water. She forcefully pried open the arms locked around her waist and walked away without looking back.
The dancer was left sadly kneeling on the ground, her knees aching on the cold wooden floor, but the real pain was in her heart.
Han Fufu didn’t even frown. She knew exactly what kind of heartbroken scene was likely unfolding behind her. She had been through it, too, and had been listless for an entire year afterward.
Since that time, Han Fufu’s heart had stopped moving.
Even now, she was notoriously promiscuous, able to spark an ambiguous romance wherever she went.
She would never promise forever to anyone, instead playing around before discarding them. With a constant stream of new people by her side, she wasn’t lonely.
Having dismissed her suitor, Han Fufu walked out of the dance studio contentedly, not believing there was anything wrong with her actions.
As a contemporary top-tier Movie Queen, she naturally had countless admirers. Furthermore, with the backing of her powerful family, she was free to do whatever she wished.
Casually dumping some nobodies to keep herself happy—why not?
Han Fufu stepped out of the building housing the dance studio. Just a few steps down the stairs, she noticed a familiar limited-edition supercar parked by the road.
Following the sleek lines of the car, she saw the driver’s side door was open.
A woman in a tailored suit and a black trench coat draped over her shoulders was leaning against the car hood.
The woman was tall; even in flat shoes, she was taller than the average female Alpha passing by.
“Qiao Qiao?” Han Fufu called out uncertainly.
Qin Qiao, who was leaning against the car hood smoking, turned her head. She raised her light brown eyes, her face as expressionless as ever. She spoke concisely: “Get in the car.”
Han Fufu sensed that her good friend was not in a good mood.
Qin Qiao was naturally aloof. Her eyes were naturally upturned phoenix eyes, and combined with her unwillingness to smile, her usual demeanor was an unappealing poker face.
Today, besides being expressionless, Qin Qiao’s eyes showed a degree of irritation. Her smoking clearly indicated her foul mood.
The burnt-out ashes of the cigarette were constantly flicked off.
It was strange to note that Han Fufu, who generally disliked people with cold expressions, had been such a close friend with Qin Qiao, the perennial iceberg, for so long.
Looking across the entire capital’s elite circle, the Han and Qin families held immense power.
The heiresses of these two families were Han Fufu and Qin Qiao. The two had grown up together, from the age of grabbing food with bibs on, supporting each other until now. Their bond was deep.
“Who provoked our Miss Qin? Hm?” Han Fufu walked up, reached into her bag for a cigarette, and stuck one in her mouth. She tilted her head and leaned toward Qin Qiao’s cigarette end. Their noses were just a millimeter from touching.
Han Fufu could even smell Qin Qiao’s pheromones. Up close, they smelled… quite pleasant.
How could I think that?
She reined in her wandering thoughts and lowered her head to light the cigarette in her hand from Qin Qiao’s.
Qin Qiao exhaled a smoke ring, squinted, and said with an unclear emotion: “You did.”
“What did I do this time? I haven’t been near you for the past three months, so how could I have upset you?” Han Fufu took a puff from her cigarette and complained disingenuously, “Why are your pheromones so strong? Are you that angry? I’m almost choked by your strong Sandalwood scent.”
“If I don’t watch you, you don’t even know your dating rumors are flying everywhere.” Qin Qiao raised her hand, took the cigarette out of Han Fufu’s mouth, tossed it on the ground, and stamped it out. “Smoke less.”
“You smoke more than I do, yet you’re lecturing me.”
Han Fufu brushed back her platinum blonde curls and sighed, expressing utter helplessness.
She could guess where the rumors came from.
A few past Omegas she had dated were relentlessly clinging on, and they must have caused plenty of trouble.
“So what if there are rumors? I only shoot one movie a year. Those fans can follow me or not; I only act to vent my emotions.” Han Fufu was nonchalant, shrugging her shoulders and getting ready to sit in the car.
After Han Fufu got into the passenger seat, Qin Qiao followed suit. “The problem isn’t you. I’m used to handling your rumors. What’s truly bothering me is my own issue.”
“What issue? One big enough to make you drive from the capital to Tangcheng?” Han Fufu rubbed her chin in speculation. “Could it be…”
“Mhm.” Qin Qiao agreed directly.
Han Fufu laughed and scolded: “Are you serious? You agreed before I even finished what I was saying.”
“It’s the one you’re thinking of.” Qin Qiao gripped the steering wheel with one hand, her elbow resting on the window frame.
Before Han Fufu could voice her thought, Qin Qiao’s phone rang.
The caller ID showed a number starting with 18.
Qin Qiao glanced at the number, her brow furrowing deeper.
The call connected automatically to the car’s Bluetooth, and the caller’s sweet, cloyingly pleasant voice sounded.
“CEO Qin, I’ve already arrived at the restaurant.”
A hint of impatience flashed in Qin Qiao’s eyes. “I’m driving.”
“Ah, please be careful on the road. I’ll wait for you.”
The call ended. Han Fufu smiled mischievously, imitating the woman’s affected, strained voice: “I’ll wait for you oh—”
“That’s annoying to hear. Don’t talk like that.” Qin Qiao wasn’t in the mood for jokes.
Han Fufu thought it was boring and returned to her normal tone. “So, this Omega you’ve found has fallen for you again? Is it your great personal charm, or are they all after your money? Couldn’t the last one be sent away with cash? Solve this one the same way.”
The car was rounding a bend. Qin Qiao sharply turned the wheel. “It won’t work. I tried. That’s why I came to you for help. Aren’t you best at acting?”
“What if we start a rumor about us?” Han Fufu joked.
Qin Qiao shook her head. “Fufu, no one would dare spread rumors about us. You don’t have to worry.”
“Where did you find this Omega? Can’t you find some reliable Omegas to treat your pheromone addiction? Preferably the kind who are truly desireless,” Han Fufu lectured.
Qin Qiao turned her head, smiling faintly. “If you were an Omega, I’d ask you to treat my condition.”
“If I were an Omega, you might as well just marry me… wait, that thought feels weird.” Han Fufu tried to imagine holding hands, hugging, and kissing Qin Qiao…
She couldn’t imagine it.
Too strange.
Even if she were an Omega, there was no way she could develop romantic love for Qin Qiao.
Their relationship had been friends since childhood; it could never become ambiguous.
Qin Qiao agreed. “Good thing you’re not an Omega. We’re best suited as friends.”
“Yes, we can help each other out.” Han Fufu paused. “So, what’s the background of this Omega?”
“A new minor celebrity promoted by my company. I gave her resources; she provided me with pheromones.” Qin Qiao looked at the road ahead. “Then she suddenly stopped wanting my resources, and I knew something was wrong.”
“Maybe you should just marry her. She might be true love.” Han Fufu loved watching the drama unfold.
Qin Qiao simply rolled her eyes at Han Fufu.
The car conveniently drove into the parking lot. Qin Qiao executed a beautiful drift and parallel parked perfectly.
Qin Qiao stepped on the brakes and, once stopped, looked at Han Fufu with displeasure. “Are you helping or not? If you don’t help, I won’t let the management company suppress your rumors.”
“Oh, Qiao Qiao, why are you like this? Then I won’t give any sponsorship to your company’s films.” Han Fufu said this, then noticed Qin Qiao wasn’t willing to talk to her anymore. She quickly got out of the car and hurried to catch up. “I was just kidding.”
Qin Qiao turned back with a deadpan expression.
“We’ve been helping each other for so many years. We’re in the same boat; how could I not help you?” Han Fufu expertly hooked her arm into Qin Qiao’s. “Let’s go, darling. Let’s meet that little celebrity.”
The two walked side by side into the highest-class restaurant located in the suburbs of the capital. Only major CEOs of listed companies or top-tier celebrities dined here, ensuring maximum privacy.
The lobby manager at the front desk saw that the arrivals were Qin Qiao and Han Fufu. He immediately smiled and rushed forward, rubbing his hands and bowing as he asked, “What an honor to have you two visit. It truly glorifies our little establishment. CEO Qin, your guest is already in the private room you arranged. Also, no one else will be present in the restaurant today, so you and CEO Han can rest assured.”
“You, your mouth alone is enough to feed you,” Han Fufu said, knowing the manager was the most articulate and trustworthy person there.
Qin Qiao wasn’t in the mood for small talk. “Which private room is Xu Ran in?”
“I’ll take you both there.” The manager bowed low and led the way.
As he led them, the manager mentioned that the restaurant’s thriving business was inseparable from the support of the Qin and Han families.
Han Fufu smiled lightly, but Qin Qiao was not interested in these empty compliments.
Reaching the top floor of the restaurant, the manager stopped at the innermost private room and reached out to open the door for them.
The moment the door opened just a crack, someone leaped out.
Immediately, a sweet pheromone wafted out.
The delicate and fragrant young celebrity, Xu Ran, leaped out with her eyes closed, embracing the first person she encountered without looking.
“CEO Qin, you finally arrived.” Xu Ran closed her eyes and leaned her head against the Alpha’s chest.
Han Fufu was stunned. She still had one arm linked with Qin Qiao, and now she was holding the young celebrity in her arms. The position was somewhat peculiar.
The young celebrity quickly smelled the sandalwood scent—the premium Alpha pheromones tightly swirling around Xu Ran’s nose.
She abruptly looked up and realized she had embraced the wrong person.
Xu Ran let go and stepped back two steps, recognizing that the person she had mistakenly embraced was none other than Han Fufu, the Movie Queen who had dominated screens in recent years.
Most importantly, the Movie Queen was holding hands with Qin Qiao, an intimate gesture.
“CEO Qin, you…” Xu Ran wanted to ask the question in her heart but couldn’t bring herself to say it.
Qin Qiao: “Let me introduce you. This is my White Moonlight, Han Fufu.”
Han Fufu: “And let me introduce you. This is my Cinnabar Mole, Qin Qiao.”
Their cooperation was perfectly synchronized.
