- He Lost Control with Jealousy — What Happened to Being Untouchable?
- Chapter 64 - Tonight... You Belong to Me
His gaze fell on Qu You standing not far away.
The girl had followed him here but hadn’t spoken a single word to him along the way.
Sang Wan had been dragged to the hotel by Su Mo and Qi Qi. She had originally planned to go home and enjoy a bowl of longevity noodles made by Aunt Liu, but the two of them had pulled her straight here instead.
“Is it really necessary to come to a hotel for a birthday celebration?”
“Come on, my mom and Aunt Liu have never been to such a fancy place before. Think of it as letting them broaden their horizons.”
Hearing Qi Qi’s reasoning, Sang Wan realized that Aunt Xue and Aunt Liu had never really benefited from her before.
With that thought, she stopped resisting and smiled. “Alright, today counts as a double celebration. Let’s make it a good one.”
Dressed in a simple white gown, Sang Wan sat quietly beside Xue Min after entering, her long hair cascading over her shoulders, as beautiful as a painting bathed in moonlight.
When she spotted Qu You, delight flashed across her face.
“Youyou, what are you doing here?”
“Miss Sang, I’m here too,” Song Ze said with a smile, nodding slightly. “I came with her.”
He moved closer to Qu You, standing by her side.
Sang Wan glanced around and noticed Shen Yubai was also present. A faint sense of unease crept over her.
As she scanned the surroundings, Lu Tingzhou stepped out from inside.
He had shed his stern suit and now wore a well-tailored khaki trench coat, softening his demeanor considerably.
His deep eyes met Sang Wan’s, and in them flickered a trace of nervousness.
He feared she might walk away, or worse, refuse to see him at all.
Sang Wan had already realized this was Lu Tingzhou’s doing, and the people around her had clearly been won over by him.
Instead of looking at him, she turned to Xue Min. “Aunt Xue, you’re in on this too?”
Xue Min patted her hand with a kind smile. “Wanwan, what’s happened can’t be changed, but we can’t live in the past. We have to look forward.”
He strode directly to her and knelt on one knee.
The entire venue fell silent in an instant, leaving only the soft rustle of leaves in the breeze.
Everyone held their breath.
At that moment, a staff member approached, carrying a thick stack of documents.
“Wanwan.”
His voice was solemn and earnest.
“I know any verbal promise would sound hollow.”
He handed the documents to her.
“These are transfer agreements for all the real estate, company shares, funds, and liquid assets under my name.”
“All you need to do is sign, and they’ll all be yours.”
Gasps filled the room.
Even Shen Yubai was so shocked he nearly bit his tongue. “Isn’t this a confession? Even a marriage proposal wouldn’t go as far as handing over his entire life.”
“I told you it wouldn’t be that simple,” Xiao Yan remarked with a smirk. “If I ever get married, should I prepare a ‘slavery contract’ in advance too?”
Song Ze pressed his lips together. “You’d better. Otherwise, how could you make your future wife feel secure?”
The banter among the three men drew laughter from those nearby, easing the tension slightly.
But Sang Wan’s fingers trembled slightly as she stared at the thick stack of documents.
Lu Tingzhou looked up at her, his gaze fervent and reverent, filled with undisguised devotion and a love that had staked everything.
“Wanwan, I can’t change the past.”
“All I want is to spend the rest of my life making it up to you and protecting you. Could you… give me a chance?”
Warm tears slipped from Sang Wan’s eyes.
For a moment, she was at a complete loss.
Xue Min patted her hand once more, “Child, follow your heart. Your mother will always support your choices.”
Su Mo stood nearby, her eyes red as she nodded vigorously.
Taking a deep breath, Sang Wan rose to her feet through her tear-blurred vision and took a small step toward him.
“Lu Tingzhou, I accept all your assets. If you ever make me unhappy in the future, you’ll be left penniless.”
Lu Tingzhou slowly stood up. “I’ll remember that. To me, nothing in this world matters more than Sang Wan. All our friends here can bear witness.”
Thunderous cheers and whistles erupted around them.
Sang Wan stood still, gazing at the man who had tormented her all this time, then reached out and pinched his waist hard.
“Ouch!”
The man winced in pain, yet his face was lit with a broad smile.
Seeing Lu Tingzhou’s pained expression, the corners of her lips curled up, blooming into a relieved smile.
The next moment, she was pulled into a scorching, tight embrace.
Lu Tingzhou held her firmly against him, as if afraid she might change her mind the next second.
Buried in the crook of her neck, his voice was ragged. “Baby… don’t leave me again.”
The cheers and whistles gradually faded as the night deepened.
After the cake was eaten and birthday wishes shared, Qi Qi escorted Xue Min and Liu Ma home.
They didn’t want to intrude too much into the world of the young.
Shen Yubai slung an arm around Song Ze’s shoulder and winked at Lu Tingzhou. “Tingzhou, we’ll get out of your hair now.”
Lu Tingzhou, who had been drinking, smiled faintly, his gaze never leaving Sang Wan.
As the crowd dispersed, the terrace, bathed in starlight and love, was left to the protagonists of the story.
The air still carried the sweetness of champagne and the fragrance of roses.
Lu Tingzhou held Sang Wan close as they sat in silence.
Having regained what was once lost, he couldn’t bear to let go for even a moment.
The soft scent of the woman in his arms brought him peace, and his embrace tightened unconsciously.
“Lu Tingzhou, you’re holding me too tight. I can barely breathe.”
Her sweet, delicate voice, something he hadn’t heard in so long, made his eyes darken instantly as he looked down at her.
“Wanwan, can we… tonight?”
Sang Wan understood his meaning. She lifted her gaze to meet his, her eyes clear and bright.
“What if I refuse?”
“Then I’ll keep waiting.”
“Without your fortune, you’re not as valuable anymore. There are plenty of other guys out there.”
She teased him deliberately.
“If you really don’t love me anymore, I’ll let you go.”
His voice was pitiful, his eyes flickering as if afraid she’d see his reluctance.
The untouchable Lu Tingzhou, revered by so many, was this vulnerable in front of her. It made her heart ache.
“Lu Tingzhou, I love you. I don’t want anyone else… just you.”
Sang Wan pressed a light kiss to his lips and smiled. “Don’t worry, I won’t complain about you being old either.”
Lu Tingzhou stared at her without a word, returning her kiss before taking her hand. His palm was burning hot, yet his grip was gentle.
He led her through the long corridor, the plush carpet muffling their footsteps until only their mingled breaths remained.
With a soft beep, the door to the presidential suite swung open.
The moment it closed behind them, the outside world ceased to exist.
The man who had been so restrained just a second ago now pinned her against the door.
His kiss descended like a storm, possessive, trembling, a desperate release of pent-up longing and desire.
“Lu Tingzhou…”
Sang Wan was kissed until she was nearly breathless, only able to let out fragmented whimpers between their lips.
Her slender, pale fingers instinctively clutched the hem of his shirt, crumpling the fabric into wrinkles.
“Wanwan.”
He murmured in her ear, his voice hoarse with emotion.
“We’ve missed too much time.”
A seemingly inexplicable sentence, yet it instantly dissolved the last trace of hesitation in Sang Wan’s heart.
Amid misunderstandings, hurt, and mutual torment, this affection had long since grown into a towering tree.
She rose onto her tiptoes, actively returning his kiss.
Moonlight spilled in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a silvery frost across the floor.
Clothes slipped from their bodies like discarded butterfly wings, falling soundlessly one by one.
He lifted her into his arms and carefully laid her on the soft bed, his movements reverent.
Yet the moment he covered her body, the obsession and madness buried deep in his bones could no longer be concealed.
He kissed her brows, her nose, her cheeks, over and over, as if confirming her realness.
“Baby…”
His voice, thick with desire and unease, was especially clear in the quiet night.
That night was one of lingering passion.
It was as if he wanted to make up for all the lost years, carving every moment into their very bones through sheer physical devotion.
…
The next morning.
Sang Wan stirred awake, her body burning with heat. Her long lashes fluttered before she slowly opened her eyes.
The first thing she saw was a pair of deep, fathomless dark eyes.
Lu Tingzhou lay beside her, propped up on one elbow, staring at her intently, who knew for how long.
Morning light filtered through the sheer curtains, softening the sharp contours of his face with a golden glow, melting away some of his usual coldness.
Sang Wan’s cheeks flushed crimson in an instant, and she instinctively pulled the blanket over herself.
Her voice was husky from sleep and tinged with embarrassment, “You… didn’t sleep, or did you wake up early?”
Lu Tingzhou chuckled lowly, the vibration of his chest resonating against her through the blanket.
He reached out, pulling her, blanket and all, into his embrace, resting his chin atop her head.
“Couldn’t sleep.”
His raspy voice carried a lazy undertone, like aged red wine, rich and intoxicating.
Sang Wan shifted slightly, and the soreness in her body drew a soft whimper from her.
“Why couldn’t you sleep?”
Lu Tingzhou paused for a moment before leaning down to whisper in her ear, so softly only she could hear:
“Last night, I held back because I was afraid you’d be too tired.”
“So, I didn’t get my fill.”
Sang Wan: “…”
Suddenly, she felt as if her entire body was about to combust.
What did he mean, didn’t get his fill?!
Her gaze involuntarily flickered to his exposed chest and firm arms, now covered in faint red scratches from last night’s loss of control.
Not to mention the aching soreness in her own body, as if she’d been thoroughly ravaged, each and every mark a testament to his relentless intensity in the latter half of the night.
How could this man have the audacity to say he didn’t get his fill?!
“You… get up now!”
Flustered and furious, she pushed against his solid chest. “I have a scene to film this morning!”
But Lu Tingzhou didn’t budge, instead tightening his hold on her.
He smirked. “I already spoke to Director Luo. You have the day off.”
After a pause, he added, “And I arranged for Aunt Xue to be sent home early this morning.”
Sang Wan froze completely.
Her dignity was utterly shattered.
On the very first day after making up, she stayed out all night with a man and even skipped work.
How was she supposed to face Aunt Xue after this?
Seeing her look of frustration, as if she wanted to burrow into a hole, the amusement in Lu Tingzhou’s eyes deepened.
He softened his tone, as if coaxing a bristling kitten.
“Be good, this entire morning belongs to me.”
His kisses fell upon her, relentless yet tender, leaving no room for refusal.
The last bit of resistance in Sang Wan dissolved under his persistent affection.
Pinned beneath him, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, she whimpered and called him a “rogue.”
Lu Tingzhou remained unmoved, even allowing a triumphant smile to curl at the corners of his lips.
Fine, since she’d already taken the day off…
Might as well indulge for one more morning.
…
By the time Sang Wan regained her senses, Lu Tingzhou had already carried her into the bathroom.
After bathing her himself, he wrapped her snugly in a large towel and carried her back to the bedroom.
“Will you change yourself, or should I help you?” he asked, standing there with a dark, unreadable gaze.
Sang Wan grabbed a pillow and hurled it at him. “Go take a shower already!”
Lu Tingzhou caught the pillow with a chuckle and turned to leave for the bathroom.
Sighing in relief, Sang Wan slipped out of bed barefoot to find her clothes.
But when her eyes swept over the pristine white sheets, her entire body froze.
Aside from the creases left behind from last night’s passion, the bed was spotless… utterly clean.
There was no…
No trace of the red she had expected.
A deafening buzz filled Sang Wan’s mind, leaving her blank.
How could this be?
She was supposed to be…
She stood motionless by the bed, stunned.
