Going Rogue! The Sickly Beauty Stopped Faking After Transmigrating - Chapter 4
Not until the car pulled back into the driveway did Su An mention what the “big thing” he wanted to do was. When Yu Feng asked, he received only two words: “It’s a secret.” Yu Feng didn’t press him; he figured he would find out eventually.
Once inside, Su An immediately stripped off his outer layers. Being wrapped up like a ball made it far too difficult to move.
“Put it back on,” a flat male voice commanded from beside him.
“I can’t move properly with so many layers,” Su An argued in a small voice.
“Go to your room and put on a thick pair of loungewear,” Yu Feng ignored his protest, his tone firm.
Su An walked upstairs, puzzled. Where would I even get thick loungewear? When he opened his bedroom door, he was stunned. Several rows of shopping bags filled with clothes were lined up on the floor, all featuring the latest seasonal designs.
Is this the power of money?
Su An quickly picked out an outfit and changed, then ran back downstairs excitedly. “Yu Feng, when did you buy these?”
“I had my assistant buy them and drop them off,” Yu Feng said, the corners of his mouth twitching upward. He seemed quite satisfied with how the clothes looked on Su An.
Su An teased, “Does this count as you ‘keeping’ me?”
“Who ‘keeps’ someone only to have to cook for them as well?” Yu Feng replied. He rolled up his sleeves and walked toward the kitchen with the groceries. The lines of his arm muscles were smooth and brimming with power.
Su An looked at his own arms, then at Yu Feng’s, and let out a sigh. It’s better not to compare people; it only leads to an inferiority complex.
Su An followed him into the kitchen. Yu Feng was quite natural at giving him orders: “Wash the vegetables.”
“You actually know how to cook?” Su An was surprised. Who knew a big villain would have this skill? Su An wasn’t the lazy type, so he took the vegetables to the sink and began washing them diligently.
“Use hot water,” Yu Feng reminded him without looking up.
Su An: “I’m not stupid.”
Sometimes, frequent reminders become a habit. As the two of them stood in the kitchen, the atmosphere was harmonious, almost giving off the “vibe” of a married couple. Once he was done washing, Su An stood obediently to the side and watched.
“Yu Feng, are you trying to seduce me?” Su An rested his chin on his hand, his eyes fixed on Yu Feng’s fluid movements as he prepped the ingredients.
Hearing this, Yu Feng didn’t stop what he was doing. “Seduce you into what?”
Su An’s mind wandered. “Seduce me into offering myself to you as repayment.”
Yu Feng’s smooth cutting motion faltered for a second. “Su An, sometimes I really want to pry your head open to see what’s inside. Have you been reading too many novels?”
“However,” Yu Feng continued, pretending to be understanding, “if you really want to, it’s not like I can’t accept. So, that meeting that night was all part of your elaborate design?”
“Mhm. I’m after your money and your looks. Will President Yu give them to me?” Su An’s lips curled slightly.
Yu Feng pretended to ponder for a moment before saying, “If it’s you… I can give them.”
“Then can President Yu lend me a sum of money to help me achieve my dream?” Su An took the opportunity to ask.
“So that was the goal all along,” Yu Feng raised an eyebrow.
“I’m being sincere.”
Yu Feng’s movements stopped completely. Sincere… it had been a long time since anyone had used that word with him. He turned around, pinning Su An between himself and the kitchen counter. Their bodies were almost touching. He lowered his head slightly to look into Su An’s eyes. Their posture was intimate, looking exactly like a long-term couple flirting.
Ambiguity mingled with the air, fermenting uncontrollably and spreading through the room. He let out a low laugh, his voice dropping an octave as his warm breath hit Su An’s ear.
“Then what’s in it for me?”
Perhaps caught in the spell of the moment, Su An stood on his tiptoes and pressed a light kiss to the corner of Yu Feng’s mouth.
The moment their eyes met, Su An realized what he had done. His ears turned a faint crimson. He pushed against the man’s chest and fled the kitchen in a state of panic.
Watching Su An’s retreating back, Yu Feng touched his thumb to the corner of his mouth where he’d been kissed, a meaningful smile playing on his lips.
What was he just doing?
Su An didn’t need a mirror to know his face was red. Before today, he hadn’t realized he was this bold. The atmosphere was just right, and he’d just… kissed him.
Kissing and then running away—maybe I’m the real scumbag here.
Su An slapped his cheeks to calm himself down. He took out his phone and began searching for information regarding the jewelry industry in this world. Before transmigrating, he had always been interested in jewelry design. Coincidentally, the elderly man in the hospital bed next to his had been a famous jewelry designer. Upon learning of Su An’s passion, the old man would teach him professional knowledge whenever they had free time.
Since Su An’s university major had also been in design, they got along famously. Su An had gained a wealth of knowledge from the old man’s mentorship. Now that he was in the book world, he wanted to become an internationally renowned designer and make up for his past regrets.
The reason he wanted to borrow money from Yu Feng was for this—he wanted to renovate his bedroom to include a workstation so he could draw his design drafts.
Just as he was thinking about the next step of his plan, he heard Yu Feng calling him down for dinner. The two of them tacitly avoided mentioning the panicked kiss in the kitchen.
Taking a bite of the sweet and sour pork ribs, Su An’s eyes lit up with surprise. The ribs were a beautiful, glossy red—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, with the perfect balance of sweet and sour.
“Delicious.” Su An’s cheeks puffed out as he ate, making him look like a little hamster.
A glint passed through Yu Feng’s eyes. “What were you doing in your room just now?”
After that unexpected kiss, their relationship seemed to have grown much closer. Su An didn’t hide it anymore and told him about his future ideas and plans.
Yu Feng thought for a moment. “Jewelry design? I recall the Su family’s primary industry is jewelry.”
“It has nothing to do with them. They’ve always thought I was useless with no value to be exploited, so they haven’t contacted me in a long time. I’m happy to have the peace and quiet, honestly,” Su An said with a face full of indifference. However, hearing this, Yu Feng’s expression darkened.
Actually, it was a bit of a coincidence. The original book didn’t have many descriptions of the Su family, so Su An didn’t remember many details. He only remembered the Su family’s youngest son, Su Kefan, who eventually became a famous jewelry designer with the family’s support. Come to think of it, Su Kefan was technically his younger brother.
Su An wanted to find out more about the Su family; after all, knowing your enemy is half the battle. “Are you familiar with the Su family?” he asked curiously.
“Not really. We have some business dealings,” Yu Feng looked up at him, paused, and added, “But that won’t be for much longer.”
Su An didn’t think much of it and focused on eating. After dinner, Su An proactively offered to do the dishes. Since he had eaten a meal someone else cooked, it was only right to help clean up.
He was standing by the sink rinsing suds off the plates when the phone in his pocket rang. Since his hands were covered in soapy water, Su An asked Yu Feng to come in and get it for him.
Yu Feng’s fingertips brushed against his leg through the fabric of his pants, sending a shiver through Su An. Su An shifted his focus to the phone. It was a string of numbers with no contact name. Thinking it was probably a telemarketing call, he ignored it.
The phone went silent when no one answered, but after a moment, it rang again. Before Su An could pick it up, Yu Feng, standing beside him, answered the call and put it on speaker.
“Su An! You finally picked up, didn’t you? Who gave you the guts to block your own father!”
