When the Major General Omega Picked Up a Little Snake Alpha - Chapter 15
The little snake hid inside Luo Qi’s sleeve, cautiously poking its head out.
From the tiny slit at the tip of its mouth, its tongue flicked in and out, tasting the scents in the air.
That two-legged Alpha was furious, but his display was pathetic. Such a weak human actually dared to try and lay a finger on its “fruit.”
I’ll tear them all, every last one of them, to pieces!
The little snake issued a vicious threat, though unfortunately, it was the only one who could hear it.
From Luo Qi’s perspective, all he could see was its tiny pink tongue flashing and a faint, rhythmic hissing sound.
“Luo Qi…” Xue Ying’s voice was trembling. Realizing what had happened, he wanted to roar in fury, but the words simply wouldn’t come out.
He glanced around. At the far end of the corridor, several onlookers stood watching from a distance.
How humiliating.
The Alpha captain of the Xueying starship had been punched in the face, in a state of total confusion, by the Omega captain of the Luoxing starship.
The blow had already landed. If he were to hit back now, the two of them would inevitably end up in a brawl.
Just the thought of it was… exhilarating.
But it would be beneath him. Fighting an Omega would make him look entirely devoid of grace. If this made the news and his father found out, he would be finished.
“What is this, Luo Qi,” he squeezed the words through gritted teeth, “a sneak attack?”
“Get it straight,” Luo Qi said, straightening his cuffs, “I punched you from the front.”
“Why? Just because of that snake?”
“What do you think?”
Xue Ying ground his teeth and let out a sharp “tsk.”
“Luo Qi, I’m trying to help you. You’re an Omega, a General, what are you doing carrying around an Alpha snake!”
“I’m just keeping a pet snake,” Luo Qi said, raising his left hand to stroke his cuff, “what do you mean ‘Alpha’?”
“Not an Alpha? Didn’t you admit it yourself the other day, in front of all those people? I even smelled—”
He cut himself off mid-sentence.
Luo Qi was leisurely stroking the snout of his “little eel,” looking completely unbothered. He was confident, with a hint of smugness, like.
Like he knew that no one could do anything to him.
Xue Ying had a sudden realization, and his chest felt tight with frustration.
Luo Huayun had given him permission to keep the snake.
The arranged marriage was likely down the drain.
“Xue Ying, we were classmates once, so I’ll let it go this time,” Luo Qi said. “But in the future, if you ever mention the snake to anyone again, don’t blame me for being unkind.”
The crisp sound of his leather boots echoed through the corridor. The onlookers in the distance quickly scurried away as they saw him approaching.
Xue Ying’s chest heaved violently. He clenched his fist and slammed it hard against the wall.
Thump. The picture frame on the wall rattled from the impact.
After leaving the banquet hall, Luo Qi took a small electric tram back to the hotel.
It was already past ten at night. Logically, he should have spent more time with Xiaoyu and Fang Xi and stayed the night at the hotel. Xiaoyu had even mentioned wanting to go to the amusement park in Shelley Garden tomorrow morning.
Who could have predicted such a scene would occur?
Sitting on the sofa, Luo Qi thought for a moment before sending a politely worded explanation to Governor Xue. Then, he left a message for Xiaoyu, turned off all his communications, and headed downstairs.
He wasn’t in a hurry to leave, instead, he went to a shopping mall.
He still remembered his promise from earlier today to get Little Black some new building blocks.
“Little Black, which one do you want?”
They stood before rows of brightly colored shelves in the children’s educational toy section. To Luo Qi, Little Black’s size made it a “juvenile” snake at most. Children’s blocks for a children’s snake seemed perfectly appropriate.
Luo Qi rested his left hand on a shelf, and the little snake poked its head out, pointing toward a certain direction.
“This one?” Luo Qi picked up a box featuring a picture of a small python.
It looked quite majestic, with large scales, black skin, and yellow markings. The little snake used the tip of its tail to trace circles on his arm.
So, Little Black liked the majestic look.
Luo Qi stared at the top of its little head. He wondered how big it would eventually grow. A meter or two, surely.
“This is a python,” Luo Qi said, stroking its head. “Are you a python?”
Little Black’s tail drooped quietly, giving no response.
“This is the one, then.”
Holding the snake blocks and his bag while shielding the little snake, Luo Qi took a flyer back to the parking lot. On the way home, as the car glided smoothly, he grew drowsy and leaned his head back to rest.
The little snake slithered slowly out of his sleeve. The “little fruit” seemed to be asleep and hadn’t noticed. It moved up his shirt, reaching the human’s shoulder and slowly propping itself up in the gap between the coat and the shirt collar.
It carefully pressed its snout against the fruit’s neck, feeling the steady rhythm of his pulse and that intoxicating aroma.
A constant, flowing scent of fruit.
It was so tempting, so delicious to inhale.
It flicked its tongue rapidly, tasting the molecules in the air. Its head tilted to one side, avoiding the skin to ensure it didn’t wake him.
Luo Qi’s eyelashes fluttered, catching the glow of the neon lights.
The moment that small, round black head had climbed onto his shoulder, he had noticed.
He clenched his fingers and waited, letting the snake’s mouth, with its hidden fangs, approach his throat, a dangerous and mad gamble.
The little black head rested on his collar, its snout pressing against his neck in a soft kiss.
The movement was incredibly light, as if it were terrified of being discovered.
It was just a tiny touch, yet Luo Qi could somehow sense a feeling of “ecstasy” from it. It seemed to really enjoy being close to him.
The little snake twisted its head, flicking its tongue at the air while resting against his collar.
Like a small animal snuggling on his shoulder.
Upon returning to the estate, Luo Qi placed the little snake back into the glass enclosure in the activity room and fed it a small frozen mouse.
The little snake coiled around the mouse and swallowed it, leaving a soft bulge in its neck.
“Now that you’ve eaten, get some rest,” Luo Qi said, cupping its belly with both hands as he placed it back on the small heating pad. “I’ll play blocks with you tomorrow.”
The little snake was also tired, curling into a U-shape to rest.
When Luo Qi left, he still locked the glass enclosure. He needed to check the recordings, if the little snake “broke out” again, he might discover something new.
After washing up, he lay in bed, staring at the elk chandelier on the ceiling.
He really didn’t know how big the snake would get. If it couldn’t be contained, would it start wandering all over the place?
In the spacious bedroom, the scent of flowers drifted in through the floor to ceiling windows. He soon drifted off to sleep.
In a deep, dark dream, a pair of eyes watched him from behind.
Luo Qi was a very alert person, and this sensation of being watched was unsettling. He wanted to turn around, but an invisible force held him back.
He let out a faint murmur in his sleep as a cool, soft object pressed against his forehead and slid down toward the tip of his nose.
It was itchy and slightly damp, like a soft worm crawling. It brushed over his lips, pressed against the hollow of his neck, and moved toward his chest.
“Mmh…” He struggled to wake, unable to bear the itching.
Sunlight streamed in through the partially drawn curtains. A coil of shiny, black, reflective material was currently hanging from the hoof of the elk on the chandelier.
“Little Black?”
Little Black’s head dangled downward, its two small golden glass beads staring at him from mid-air. Its soft black cheeks were slightly puffed out, as if it were chewing on something.
Luo Qi felt his chest under the sheets. His skin was still burning, and the buttons of his pajamas had all been rubbed off, leaving his shirt wide open. From his fair collarbone downward, several faint red marks were visible.
He felt the heat rising to his cheeks.
“You naughty snake, what exactly did you do last night?”
