Falling After Marriage - Chapter 49
Chapter 49: The intimacy Is Thick, The Taste Is Addictive
This ecstatic, all-consuming revelry gradually subsided into calm around midnight.
Lin Jin leaned languidly against Cheng Sangluo, her eyes half-closed, savoring the afterglow of their pleasure.
The intimacy was thick, like spun maltose—sweet, sticky, and utterly addictive.
She lifted her head to study her “puppy’s” defined jawline, tracing and outlining it with her fingertips, as if to confirm that everything before her was real.
“You wanted it so fiercely… you made me so tired…” Lin Jin sighed, her voice soft and captivating. She rested her head comfortably, nuzzling into Cheng Sangluo’s arms.
She often couldn’t withstand her “puppy’s” boundless energy, but she was incredibly satisfied with the other woman’s committed attitude toward intimacy. So, she nestled close, and the kiss that landed on her chin felt very much like a reward.
Cheng Sangluo was also gentler than usual now. At least she reached out to smooth the crazy woman’s tangled hair and instructed her in a light whisper: “Don’t go drinking anymore. Let Sheng He drive you home.“
“It’s not right to use me up and then disown me.” Lin Jin encircled her neck with her soft, boneless arms and lightly chastised her, then commanded with righteous indignation: “I want you to take me home.“
“I haven’t finished work. I can’t leave right away, hiss… work…” The moment Cheng Sangluo mentioned work, she instantly became flustered.
She nervously adjusted her messy clothes, pulling the tie she had used to bind Lin Jin’s wrists away. Seeing the deep red marks left on her slender wrists, a hint of apology surfaced in her eyes. “Does it hurt?“
Lin Jin followed her gaze to her wrist, smiling as she leaned closer. “Are you worried about me?“
Cheng Sangluo bit her lip, speechless. The hand that had been busy buttoning her shirt moved to gently rub Lin Jin’s wrist, varying the pressure.
Lin Jin was surprised by this sudden tenderness. She glanced at the tie hanging around her “puppy’s” neck and patiently instructed her: “A tie should be knotted like this; it looks better.“
Cheng Sangluo nodded, looking down at her collar. Lin Jin’s movements in tying the tie were practiced, creating the illusion of a couple in a long, steady relationship.
Her gaze naturally shifted to Lin Jin’s serious face. She couldn’t help but tilt her head to observe her more clearly.
Honestly, the crazy woman was endearing when she wasn’t having a meltdown: a bit of tenderness, a bit of patience, and breathtakingly beautiful.
If only all this had begun with kindness instead of an intention to manipulate, how wonderful that would be.
Cheng Sangluo’s hand remained on Lin Jin’s wrist. Although it interfered with tying the tie, she couldn’t bring herself to let go.
She followed her heart’s impulse, stubbornly and continuously rubbing.
Perhaps she wanted to rub away more than just the red marks left by the tie, but also the crazy woman’s deep-seated emotional knots.
Lin Jin’s eyes curved in a smile, quietly enjoying her “puppy’s” limited-time service. The desire that had just subsided was easily stirred up again. She yielded and began to suck Cheng Sangluo’s rough fingertip, languidly teasing it with her tongue.
Cheng Sangluo swallowed a dry gulp. She, too, was easily tempted. She couldn’t help but grasp the back of Lin Jin’s neck, burying her head in her fair neck and biting her haphazardly. “This addiction… is so hard to break…“
“Tonight, I’m yours… let’s go home. We can take our time… take our time doing it…” Lin Jin used her soft tone to lure her again, her fingers running through Cheng Sangluo’s hair, rubbing incessantly. “Taking you away would only take a word. No one can stop me. Only your unwillingness leaves me helpless.“
“Lin Jin…” Cheng Sangluo called out in a muffled voice. After a moment’s hesitation, she sighed from the bottom of her heart: “Your scent… is very unique…“
Lin Jin brought Cheng Sangluo back to the VIP room.
The room was still a lively, extravagant scene of chaos and decadence.
Everyone was lost in the world of alcohol, oblivious to who came and went, so the intimate moment they shared in the restroom felt as if it had never happened.
Only Shu Wan sat distractedly in the corner of the sofa.
The overhead light shone on her shoulder, making it impossible to see her expression clearly.
She was holding a glass of foreign liquor, drinking it down shot by shot. Beautiful young hostesses who tried to cozy up to her were driven away by her distant, rejecting gaze.
Until Cheng Sangluo walked into her line of sight, along with the arrogant Lin Jin.
“Why is CEO Shu drinking alone?” Lin Jin walked over to greet her, a victor’s arrogant smile on her lips. “Would you like me to join you for a drink?“
Shu Wan rested one arm on the sofa. The glass she held shielded half her face, revealing little emotion.
She swirled the glass, and the ice cubes clinked against the glass wall with an unpleasant sound.
In that instant, she adopted a smile as warm as a spring breeze: “CEO Lin, did you have fun?“
Lin Jin, contrary to her usual aversion, sat down beside Shu Wan, responding almost whispered into her ear: “Thanks to CEO Shu, I had a great time tonight.“
She deliberately used words designed to wound and punish. She was retaliating.
Retaliating against Shu Wan for being gossipy, which led to her and her “puppy’s” fight on the rainy night.
Between the brief words, there was also immense mockery, laughing at how Shu Wan initially tried to anger her using Cheng Sangluo, but ended up backfiring and sending the person into her arms.
“I’m relieved to hear CEO Lin had fun.” Shu Wan’s smile didn’t reach her eyes. She shifted her gaze to the other side of the table.
She stared intently at Cheng Sangluo, sharply noticing a glaring patch of red at the collar of her white shirt.
Lin Jin followed her gaze, looking at her somewhat uneasy “puppy,” and stated directly: “I’m taking her with me. CEO Shu won’t mind, will you?“
“Since when did CEO Lin’s taste become so unique? With a room full of young models and beautiful girls, you choose a security guard? Security personnel are not available for external outings.” Shu Wan’s reply was sharply sarcastic, implicitly rejecting her.
She always lagged behind Lin Jin. Today, she was on her own turf. She had to save some face.
Lin Jin chuckled, leaning into Shu Wan’s ear and taunting in a deep voice: “Shu Wan, we’ve been rivals for so many years. Don’t you know me well enough? What I want, I always get. If you really care about winning, fine, next time there’s a good project, I won’t participate. I’ll give you a favor. Do you really think Cheng Sangluo is my weakness, that you can pull some petty stunts to strike at me through her? You think too little of my intelligence. If I’m not mistaken, you were the one knocking on the restroom door just now, weren’t you? Taking her is only a matter of one or two hours, sooner or later. Where we play is irrelevant. I could even book a separate room. I wouldn’t mind you standing outside as a loyal listener.“
Shu Wan downed the wine in her glass, her smile growing even more strained, grinding her teeth. “Lin Jin, a person who walks by the river is bound to get their feet wet. Things change, and time evolves. You must understand these profound principles, mustn’t you?“
“You said they are profound principles. Profound principles are meant for everyone else. I can be the exception.” Lin Jin replied in a drawn-out tone. Her unshakable confidence always easily grated on people’s nerves.
“Since you gave my little puppy a job opportunity, I’ll offer a piece of advice…” She picked up a glass and tapped it against Shu Wan’s empty glass. “Cheng Sangluo is taken. I advise you not to have any wrong ideas about her, or I will be very angry. Don’t wait until we completely fall out; I’m afraid you won’t be able to handle the consequences.“
Lin Jin imitated Shu Wan’s deceptive smile, but her words were a direct and unpleasant warning.
Shu Wan was still very wary of her capital background. She could only wave Cheng Sangluo over, conceding: “Be sure to keep CEO Lin happy tonight. Go on.“
“Then I wish CEO Shu a fun night too. You said it yourself: a room full of young models and beautiful girls are yours to choose from.” Lin Jin didn’t forget to add a final taunt before leaving.
With that, she quickly walked over to Cheng Sangluo, tightly linked arms with her, and headed toward the door. “I wish I could blink and have you right inside my home.“
Cheng Sangluo hesitated, wanting to look back at Shu Wan, but she suppressed the urge, asking: “What did you and Miss Shu talk about for so long?“
“Of course, we talked about you~” Lin Jin only gave half an answer, counter-asking: “Are you very curious about the content?“
Cheng Sangluo shook her head. “What is there to talk about me?“
“She didn’t want to let you go, so I had to talk to her about how you belong to me. That’s worth discussing.” Lin Jin looked selfish and petty, pulling even closer to Cheng Sangluo. “Besides, you have no choice but to take me home. I gave Sheng He the night off. I don’t have a driver tonight.“
Cheng Sangluo didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, teasing: “I think you came prepared. You have layers of tricks up your sleeve.“
Lin Jin wrinkled her nose, defensively refuting: “If I had come prepared, you wouldn’t have walked through that door arm-in-arm with Shu Wan, offending my eyes!“
Shu Wan watched gloomily as the two disappeared from sight. She violently smashed the empty glass in her hand onto the floor, startling nearby guests.
She stood up, brushed a curl from her ear, and left with a purpose, heading straight for the business room hidden deep within the floor.
The business rooms were primarily for guests to discuss business and enjoy entertainment at the same time, so the environment was more discreet.
Shu Wan didn’t politely knock; she pushed the door open and walked right in.
The business room had excellent soundproofing. It wasn’t disturbed by the loud music downstairs, so the atmosphere inside was strangely quiet.
In the dimly lit space, a lingering haze of smoke permeated the air, adding a touch of mystery to the silent atmosphere.
Lin Sheng, a man, sat in the middle of the sofa, a cigar clamped between his teeth. The accompanying beauty was coiled around him like a snake. He looked utterly engrossed.
He looked up at Shu Wan walking in, then sent the beauty out of the room.
“I knew Miss Shu wouldn’t make me wait too long.” Lin Sheng poured a glass of red wine, stood up, and offered it to Shu Wan. “Of course, I also appreciate you inviting me to meet here at short notice.“
Shu Wan disliked Lin Sheng’s appearance, most likely because he bore a slight resemblance to Lin Jin, so she didn’t accept the offered glass of red wine.
Lin Sheng pouted, then sipped the red wine by himself.
“Lin Jin has left.” Shu Wan stated concisely, implying that she was informing him.
Lin Sheng followed the sound, turning to signal his bodyguard, then bent down to pick up the folder on the coffee table. “It seems you haven’t rejected my goodwill. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. As a sign of sincerity, this is my meeting gift. You will definitely find it interesting.“
Shu Wan gazed at the documents in Lin Sheng’s hand, hesitating for a moment before slowly taking them. “I wouldn’t call this a meeting gift. Maybe it’s a trap you dug?“
“I appreciate Miss Shu’s caution. If we didn’t have a common goal, you wouldn’t be wading into this mess. Since we’re going to cooperate, we’re naturally in the same boat. My father often says, ‘we flourish together, we suffer together.‘ The principle is that simple.“
Shu Wan sneered: “The nicer you make it sound, the less sincerity I see.“
“You and I are the same; we are always overshadowed by Lin Jin. The chemical reaction our cooperation can produce is far better than fighting alone. I told you this file is my sincerity. You can take your time reading the contents. I believe the first thing you’ll do before putting the document down is contact me.“
“Oh, really?” Shu Wan was skeptical, but she tucked the folder under her arm. “I’ve often heard that Mr. Lin conducts business ruthlessly. Let’s be clear first. Cooperation is one thing, but don’t drag me down. Whatever you plan to do tonight has nothing to do with me.“
Lin Sheng tapped his cigar, put it back in his mouth, and feigned ignorance. “Is something supposed to happen tonight? Who knows?“
In the empty underground parking lot, Lin Jin’s rhythmic high-heeled steps echoed.
Her steps were light. She hooked one hand around Cheng Sangluo’s clothing hem and swung her small decorative bag with the other. By all appearances, she was in an irrepressible good mood.
Cheng Sangluo, whose clothes were being pulled, didn’t walk too fast. Suddenly remembering something, she turned back and asked: “Where is your car parked, and where are the keys?“
“C29.” Lin Jin reported the parking spot and ordered: “Sheng He left the car keys with the security guard at the exit. Puppy, run the errand~”
“Alright, wait for me by the car.“
Lin Jin put her hands behind her back, watching her “puppy” dash off, then laughed and called out: “Little puppy Cheng~”
Following the call, Cheng Sangluo stopped, looking back in confusion: “What is it?“
Lin Jin didn’t want to be separated from her for too long. She tapped her toe on the ground, drawing a circle, and commanded: “Don’t make me wait too long, or I’ll miss you too much, and if I get anxious, I won’t let you off the hook!“
Cheng Sangluo rolled her eyes, thinking the crazy woman was surprisingly clingy. “Then why did you call me back? It’s only a few minutes. How anxious can you be?“
This person’s mouth was hard, but her body was very honest. She turned her head and ran out of sight, seeming to be in more of a hurry than anyone.
For some reason, the crazy woman’s sudden call had disturbed her mood. Cheng Sangluo frowned slightly, a strange, inexplicable feeling creeping into her heart.
She unconsciously sped up her running pace, causing scattered footsteps to echo in the basement garage.
Lin Jin walked leisurely down the empty lane, constantly looking back, hoping her “puppy” would return quickly.
When she reached the parking spot, she leaned against the Bentley, looking a little tired, and suddenly let out a faint, cold chuckle.
Lin Jin felt she was acting like a seventeen or eighteen-year-old girl, looking forward to her crush with a sweet, shy joy. That was why every second of waiting felt like a year.
During the wait, she propped her hands behind her, half-closing her eyes to savor the intimacy in the restroom.
Although she still hadn’t managed to get a deeply satisfying lip-to-lip kiss, her “puppy’s” unexpected initiative tonight was satisfying enough.
It turned out that person could also be jealous and anxious. Why else would she demand her so fiercely tonight, losing control several times yet still wanting to find a way to continue at home?
If this had happened before, the moment someone knocked on the door, that stubborn mule would have immediately stopped.
Lin Jin was thinking, preparing to shift into a more comfortable sitting position.
She instinctively pressed against the car hood, sensing that the rebound was off. She pulled herself away and walked to the car door to check.
She discovered that the tire was severely deflated, the wheel rim almost resting on the ground. The rear tire was in the same condition.
Lin Jin muttered to herself in a low reprimand: “What is Sheng He doing?“
Looking up, a tall, dark shadow appeared on the wall, almost obscuring Lin Jin’s slender figure.
She thought her “puppy” had returned, wondering why she walked without making a sound. She turned around, complaining in a soft voice: “Little puppy mechanic, our tires are…“
Before she finished speaking, Lin Jin’s eyes froze. The person who suddenly appeared was not Cheng Sangluo.
The person was wearing a helmet, making their face indiscernible. They were toying with an aluminum alloy baseball bat. It was obvious that they meant trouble.
In just a few seconds, several piercing motorcycle roars erupted behind the person.
Accompanied by the sound of engines, four or five more people on motorcycles, dressed in black, appeared, completely blocking Lin Jin’s escape.
Lin Jin was not only used to big scenes; she had also experienced life-and-death situations.
Aside from the terrifying rainstorm, the sight of these aggressive people didn’t instill any fear in her.
She calmly leaned against the car door, glanced at the person closest to her, and then at the baseball bat in their hand.
She didn’t need to think to know who had sent these thugs.
Perhaps the only person who could save her now was Cheng Sangluo. So, she deliberately stalled for time and spoke harshly: “Lin Sheng is so stupid. He doesn’t even know to pick a different day for this kind of thing.”
The person paused slightly upon hearing the boss’s name, but didn’t waste any time. They raised the baseball bat and violently swung it towards Lin Jin.
