Exclusively Possessed By A Yandere Rich Girl - Chapter 6
The Office.
Zhu Nianxi finished speaking and handed the documents to the teacher.
The physics teacher expressed concern. “Nianxi, won’t this be too much trouble for you?”
Zhu Nianxi’s grades were, of course, more than enough. She was the undisputed rank one of her grade, leading the second place student by over 30 points. However, peer tutoring between a top student and a struggling one easily provoked resentment and dissatisfaction from parents.
Furthermore, Zhu Nianxi was no ordinary top student.
“I am doing this voluntarily,” the young girl replied, her face bright with a warm smile. “Besides, Xu Fei and I are friends.”
Walking out of the office, Xu Fei was still in a daze.
Zhu Nianxi had already switched into tutoring mode. “Feifei, go back and grab your physics textbook and notebook. We’ll find an empty classroom to go over the questions.”
She continued walking forward, her leather shoes making crisp tapping sounds against the tiled floor.
Noticing the delay in footsteps behind her, Zhu Nianxi turned around to find Xu Fei still standing in the exact same spot.
The Beta said in a low voice, “Zhu Nianxi, how about you don’t tutor me after all?”
Saying this out loud, Xu Fei felt so guilty that she didn’t dare look Zhu Nianxi in the eye.
A soft, gentle question gave her the courage to continue.
“Feifei, can you tell me why?”
Xu Fei lowered her eyes. “…It will affect your own studies.”
She had asked classmates for help with questions before. When it happened too often, she could sense their subtle, underlying impatience. Zhu Nianxi’s time was incredibly precious.
Unexpectedly, Zhu Nianxi let out a soft laugh.
“Affect me?” The Omega looked over, absolute confidence shining in her eyes. “How could it affect me? Dropping down to second place?”
Infected by the Omega’s confidence, Xu Fei’s tensed nerves relaxed bit by bit.
Was it really okay?
Zhu Nianxi wiped away her smile, her tone gentle yet brook no argument.
“Feifei, hurry up. Stop wasting time.”
The tutoring spot they chose was a small classroom on the same floor as Class 7, with only the two of them inside.
Xu Fei noticed that Zhu Nianxi placed a very high value on order and cleanliness. Not only was her uniform ironed immaculately, but her desktop, notebooks, and even her homework assignments were pristine, without a single dog-eared page.
The tutoring session began.
Zhu Nianxi said, “Check off the parts you don’t understand, and we’ll go through them one by one.”
Still harboring reservations, Xu Fei only checked off a portion of them, careful not to consume too much of Zhu Nianxi’s time.
To explain the problems, the Omega leaned in very close. Her profile was fair and delicate, and beneath her thick, dark eyelashes lay eyes like obsidian.
Xu Fei stared at the exam paper, listening to Zhu Nianxi explain a multiple choice question she hadn’t understood during class.
So that was it. She had gotten the direction of the uniform electric field completely wrong.
The Omega’s voice was beautiful to begin with, and when deliberately lowered, it added a layer of intoxicating tenderness.
“Now, calculate it yourself.”
As her awareness snapped back to reality, Xu Fei realized just how close they were sitting. A slick, smooth sensation brushed past her lower leg, causing her to instantly pull her legs back. She toyed with her hair to hide her blushing ear tips.
The Omega paid it no mind, unscrewing her thermos to take a sip of water. Her pitch-black hair cascaded down, revealing a corner of the scent-blocking patch at the back of her neck.
Speaking of which, Xu Fei caught a whiff of the floral fragrance again.
At first sniff, it was elegant, aristocratic, and commanding. Yet, once one grew familiar with it, the floral scent bloomed with a few hints of softness.
Was it the smell of body wash?
Lost in thought, Xu Fei’s pen diligently calculated on the scratch paper.
When she finished the calculation, she wanted to look at the answer choices, but the options were covered by two slender, white fingers.
Zhu Nianxi rested her chin on her hand, asking unhurriedly, “What is it?”
Xu Fei hesitated. “A and C?”
Accustomed to self-defense, she added, “I’m sorry, I’m a bit stupid.”
“Completely correct.” Zhu Nianxi moved her hand away. “Who said you were stupid?”
Xu Fei was overjoyed.
When she checked the corrections for the other incorrect options, they matched what she had written on her scratch paper exactly.
It turned out she could get it right.
Just as she was rejoicing, she heard Zhu Nianxi ask again, “Feifei, who said you were stupid?”
Xu Fei looked up, surprised to find that Zhu Nianxi’s expression was incredibly serious. It wasn’t the usual teasing tone between friends, it looked as if she genuinely wanted to find out exactly who that person was.
She stared intently at Xu Fei. “What’s their name? Who is it?”
How strange…
Xu Fei shook her head. “No one.”
Zhu Nianxi’s smile turned gentle. “That’s good then.”
The brief interlude quickly passed, and they resumed going over the questions.
Although Zhu Nianxi was a top student, she could understand many of the pain points where Xu Fei got stuck. If Xu Fei didn’t understand it the first time, she would patiently explain it a second time. Once Xu Fei got it right, she would earnestly praise her.
Zhu Nianxi’s gaze and praises acted like an iron, smoothing out all the wrinkled anxieties in Xu Fei’s heart.
For the first time, after completely understanding an entire exam paper, Xu Fei felt a surging sense of accomplishment.
With some time left before the end of the period, Zhu Nianxi suggested looking over yesterday’s homework assignment.
Homework?
The smile on Xu Fei’s face vanished instantly.
“Can we do it tomorrow?” Xu Fei asked with a pleading look.
Recalling the pages covered in red X marks, her hand pressed firmly against the notebook, unable to bring herself to open it for the longest time.
Zhu Nianxi cast a casual glance over. “No need. I saw what you wrote yesterday.”
Xu Fei felt as if lightning had struck her.
So Zhu Nianxi already knew? Then what on earth was she trying to hide earlier! How foolish!
Xu Fei’s face burned with intense heat. She stole a glance across the table.
The corners of the Omega’s lips curled into a delighted arc. The young girl’s smiling eyes seemed to possess magic, gently poking at her heart. A numbing sensation traveled from her heart throughout her entire body, leaving a tingling feeling.
Xu Fei listened to the thumping of her own heartbeat inside her chest.
Zhu Nianxi is so wicked. But, so tender.
Yesterday’s homework was not simple, it was entirely related to electric fields. Xu Fei found it difficult to grasp, but encouraged by Zhu Nianxi to ask questions, she gradually found her rhythm.
Just as they finished the first problem, the dismissal bell rang. The sound of students laughing and chatting echoed from the hallway.
It was time to go to the hospital.
Xu Fei capped her pen and began packing her backpack, remembering to thank the Omega. “Zhu Nianxi, thank you. I’ll finish the rest when I get home.”
Watching Xu Fei who was about to leave her side yet again, the light in Zhu Nianxi’s eyes gradually darkened.
As Xu Fei reached out to grab her homework assignment, a snow-white hand suddenly pressed down on the cream colored paper.
Zhu Nianxi sat elegantly. She lifted her eyelids, her gaze trapping Xu Fei completely. “Xu Fei, did I say you could leave?”
“Huh?”
Xu Fei lowered her head, colliding straight into those pure black eyes.
At sunset, the blood-orange twilight flooded the classroom, painting half of Zhu Nianxi’s body in a golden hue.
Zhu Nianxi spoke calmly, “Leaving just when you’ve gotten into the rhythm. Once you go to the hospital, will you still have time to do these problems? Not reviewing immediately is equivalent to learning nothing.”
She looked over again, the usual gentleness and approachability entirely absent from her gaze. “Xu Fei, I hate wasting my efforts.”
In the two days they had known each other, this was the harshest thing Xu Fei had ever heard Zhu Nianxi say. The word “hate” continuously hammered against her heart.
Was she angry?
Xu Fei sat back down, holding her bag with both hands. Her doe like eyes were filled with guilt. “I’m sorry, I didn’t consider that. But over at the hospital…”
“Yan Fu will handle it,” Zhu Nianxi interrupted, her fingertips turning open Xu Fei’s homework. “Unimportant people are not the subjects you should be considering right now.”
Zhu Nianxi always possessed a compelling charisma that commanded obedience.
It took Xu Fei zero seconds to decide to stay. She would head over right after they finished. At worst, she would take a scolding. Xu Shaobin wouldn’t actually refuse to sign the papers. First, she needed to placate an angry Zhu Nianxi.
Picking her pen up once more, Xu Fei dove back into the ocean of physics.
Her phone was permanently set to silent. As time ticked away, the laughter and chatter out in the hallway gradually faded. The world quieted down, leaving only the Omega’s voice by her ear.
The rustling sound of writing, their intertwined breathing, occasional footsteps from afar… Xu Fei rarely experienced such peaceful school life.
While one person focused on the questions, another focused on her.
Zhu Nianxi turned her body sideways, twirling a black pen between her fingertips as her gaze climbed over every inch of Xu Fei. From her long legs to her taut abdomen, moving upward to pause at the asymmetrical ribbon on her chest, her side profile, her ears, and her eyes.
Xu Fei possessed a pair of unforgettable eyes, tea colored pupils with slightly upturned corners, yet the lines were rounded and entirely devoid of aggression. In truth, it wasn’t just her eyes, her entire face was beautiful. It was just a pity that it was always hidden behind her messy bangs, rarely drawing attention.
Yet every time they made eye contact, Zhu Nianxi could always discover something within her gaze that thrilled her.
When the final electromagnetism question was solved, Xu Fei obediently pushed the scratch paper in front of her. Lowering her eyes, her expression appeared even more innocent. “Is it right?”
She was incredibly tense, whole heartedly anticipating an answer.
The corners of Zhu Nianxi’s lips curved upward. “It’s right. Feifei, you are very smart.”
Xu Fei burst into a heartfelt smile, her eyes brimming with gratitude and admiration. “Nianxi, thank you so much.” Pausing, she then asked cautiously, “Are you still angry?”
Zhu Nianxi smiled. “How could I be, Feifei?”
The two walked back to the classroom side by side.
They had stayed in the empty classroom for an extra hour after school. The dinner hour had already passed, and the classroom was sparsely occupied by boarding students sitting for evening self-study.
Jian Zhixing looked up and saw Xu Fei and Zhu Nianxi walking into the classroom together, his face filled with surprise.
Ning Siyi was also there. “Zhu Nianxi, you haven’t gone home yet?”
Zhu Nianxi replied, “I’m leaving right away.”
She began packing her bag in a slow, methodical manner.
Xu Fei waited for two minutes before following behind Zhu Nianxi out of the classroom. The two finally parted ways at the school gate.
Taking a couple of steps forward, the Omega lifted her head. “It’s about to rain.”
Rain?
Xu Fei glanced up at the sky, the night was perfectly clear.
By the time Xu Fei arrived at the hospital, there was still no sign of rain in the sky whatsoever.
She hurriedly ran toward the inpatient department. The dozen or so missed calls in her call history heralded the arrival of another type of storm.
In front of Shang Hong’s hospital bed, Xu Chaoqun was buried in his phone, playing games.
Xu Shaobin was also present. Upon seeing Xu Fei, he let out a cold laugh, saying sarcastically, “Look who finally decided to show up. Do you even want the signature or not?”
Only then did Xu Fei notice that there was no caregiver in the hospital room. She let out a sigh of relief.
It’s better that they didn’t hire one. She didn’t want Zhu Nianxi to be dragged into her mess or to have her money spent on this family. Xu Fei also didn’t want Zhu Nianxi to know about the miserable affairs of her life.
She defended herself, “The school had some matters to attend to. I came over the moment it ended.”
Xu Shaobin paid her excuse no mind at all, shouting loudly, “Always finding excuses! You think I want to look after you? That old hag was so biased, even though Xu Shaowu is dead, he still had to cause trouble for me!”
Xu Fei stood there listening, her fingernails digging deep into her palms, as if she couldn’t feel the pain.
It had always been this way. Regardless of whether she did something wrong or not, Xu Shaobin could always find a reason to scream at her.
An elderly patient who had newly arrived in the ward today truly couldn’t bear to listen to it any longer. “Can you stop shouting? Other people need to rest here! You’re an adult, how can you say such nasty things to your own child?”
Xu Shaobin glared at her, turning around to curse at the elderly woman for sticking her nose into other people’s business.
Meanwhile, out in the hallway, two people were walking over from a distance.
Liu Xinrong spoke with gratitude, “Assistant Yan, I really must thank you for helping arrange things this time.”
Yan Fu replied, “It’s a small matter, Teacher Liu. There is no need to be so polite.”
Hearing this, Liu Xinrong felt a bit guilty. She had merely taught Zhu Nianxi back during junior high school. This time, her mother had fallen and was hospitalized, and they couldn’t secure an appointment slot. She hadn’t expected Assistant Yan to step in and help.
The two stopped at the door of the hospital room.
Liu Xinrong caught sight of that solitary figure inside.
Yan Fu also happened to notice it. “Teacher Liu, do you know her? That person looks like Nianxi’s new classmate. She’s been here for quite a while…”
Liu Xinrong’s expression grew uglier and uglier.
Of course she knew her. Xu Fei used to be her student. It was she who had signed Xu Fei’s school transfer documents back then.
Enduring the foul words ringing in her ears, Xu Fei bent her waist, intending to pick up the basin.
Right at that moment, someone tapped her from behind. A deeply concerned face entered her vision.
“Teacher Liu!” Xu Fei recognized her former homeroom teacher.
The moment Xu Shaobin clearly recognized the person, he instantly became mute.
Liu Xinrong was the homeroom teacher for the elite advanced class at the Affiliated High School. The high school entrance examination for class placement had just concluded, and Xu Chaoqun’s grades weren’t good enough. They had wanted to squeeze him in but couldn’t even manage to book an appointment with her. He hadn’t expected to run into her right here.
Although she hadn’t heard everything, Liu Xinrong could guess the gist of Xu Fei’s situation. If her relatives had treated her well, she wouldn’t have given up her bright future to transfer schools back then.
Liu Xinrong held her student’s shoulders in a protective stance. “Xu Fei, are you facing difficulties in your life right now? Tell your teacher.”
The current Xu Fei was a far cry from the bright, lively girl in her memory. The events back then had been too sudden, and Liu Xinrong had never been able to forget her. Over all these years, she had constantly been asking around for news of her.
Before Xu Fei could answer, Xu Shaobin chimed in, “She’s living a perfectly fine life. She’s attending Huaiyang High School now.”
Xu Fei lowered her eyelashes. “Someone else is sponsoring me.”
Xu Shaobin glared at her. Xu Fei closed her mouth and refrained from saying anything further.
Just then, a doctor walked in and called Liu Xinrong away.
Seeing this, Xu Shaobin hurriedly ran out after her, pulling Xu Chaoqun along.
A few minutes later, he returned, looking down at Xu Fei disdainfully. “You don’t need to come here anymore.” Lest she ruin their plans.
Xu Fei didn’t waste words. Seizing the opportunity, she pulled out the financial aid form. “Sign it.”
Reluctantly, Xu Shaobin signed it. Lowering his voice, he warned her, “Don’t go around talking nonsense. That old hag has heart issues. Weigh carefully whether that card of yours has enough money to keep her in the ICU.”
Xu Fei took the form back. “I know.”
If she weren’t afraid that Xu Shaobin would say terrible things to her grandmother, she wouldn’t have kept enduring this.
On her way to the bar, Xu Fei couldn’t help but hum a song. Regardless of everything else, she no longer had to stay at the hospital.
How fortunate!
Mei Qia was pleasantly surprised by her early return.
Changing into her waitress uniform, Xu Fei quickly got into work mode, carrying crates of alcohol back and forth between the private booths.
At 21:00, she and another colleague were helping a drunk guest into a car. Suddenly, a low, muffled roll of thunder echoed overhead. Following a loud roar of thunder, a torrential downpour unleashed upon the world without any warning.
Xu Fei recalled the Omega’s prediction from this afternoon.
The next morning during early self-study, Zhu Nianxi did not show up.
