Exclusively Possessed By A Yandere Rich Girl - Chapter 13
Since reuniting with Zhu Nianxi, the frequency with which Xu Fei used her brain had skyrocketed.
Figuring out how to sneak glances without getting caught required thought, doing physics problems required thought and right now, she needed to think even more!
She had just finished PE class and sweated quite a bit. Could there be a smell?!
But she had taken a shower specifically before coming over.
The Omega had already pressed her nose close. Disliking how the shirt got in the way, she undid two of Xu Fei’s buttons, then pressed her hand against the gland on the back of her neck, gently caressing it.
It was flat, indeed, a Beta’s gland.
But this scent of pheromones…
Zhu Nianxi had never smelled such a submissive Alpha pheromone before.
There was no sharp aggressiveness, it was like an oak tree thoroughly baked in the sun, fresh, clean, and carrying the warmth of vegetation permeated by sunlight.
She couldn’t help but want more.
Zhu Nianxi drew a bit closer, opening her arms to wrap them around Xu Fei’s neck.
Xu Fei lowered her eyes, looking directly at the Omega’s thick eyelashes, which curled like a doll’s.
Zhu Nianxi leaned against her chest, her crown facing Xu Fei. Her dark, fluffy hair half-hid her pale forehead.
Xu Fei had grown used to it and was even starting to appreciate the moment, but Zhu Nianxi suddenly let go.
Her face was flushed from being pressed close, and the corners of her lips turned down slightly, looking rather unhappy.
Xu Fei figured Zhu Nianxi must have her reasons for doing this, so she didn’t ask.
Hastily buttoning herself back up, she stood obediently in place. “Nianxi, can we go now?”
“Mm,” Zhu Nianxi nodded, pulling over the Beta’s exam paper to start grading it.
What exactly was it?
She didn’t understand.
Stepping into the restroom and making sure no one was looking, Xu Fei lowered her head and sniffed her own collar like a puppy, letting out a sigh of relief.
Great, there’s no smell!
Zhu Nianxi’s review plan was remarkably intense. Not just physics, she intended to pull Xu Fei’s entire academic performance up a notch.
The review materials were already prepared, stacked on the desk in an impressive pile.
“It will be quite hard work, but I can guarantee results.”
Zhu Nianxi rested one hand on the desk, meeting Xu Fei’s slightly dazed gaze.
All of this was prepared for her?
The papers Zhu Nianxi handed out were all custom-written by herself based on Xu Fei’s learning progress.
With so many handouts, Xu Fei couldn’t even fathom how much effort Zhu Nianxi had secretly put in.
She reached out, intending to stuff all the materials into her bag at once.
Zhu Nianxi pinned the books down. Xu Fei blinked her large eyes, her gaze flickering with either the grievance of someone who dared not speak up, or the sheer despair of a student facing a mountain of exercises.
Zhu Nianxi reflected for a moment, then glanced at the faint dark circles under the Beta’s eyes.
“Feifei, let’s just take the math ones for now.”
Raising scores was a long-term war, and besides, Xu Fei couldn’t run away anyway.
Xu Fei let out a very disappointed “Oh,” looking at the remaining handouts with lingering attachment.
In her mind, those were already hers.
They couldn’t be given to anyone else.
On Friday after school, Xu Fei first worked her shift at the bar, then went straight home after clocking out to grind through practice problems.
Perhaps she had caught a chill while riding her bicycle in the afternoon, but after leaving Zhu Nianxi, her head began to ache again, even more severely than it had that morning.
A gland that had once been soothed by an Omega’s pheromones could not tolerate even a shred of emptiness. After just a few hours of contact, she was actually experiencing withdrawal symptoms.
She craved the scent of white roses; she craved Zhu Nianxi’s presence.
Mei Qia returned home at 2:00 AM. The main lights in the room weren’t on, only a small desk lamp cast a piercing white glare.
Xu Fei lay with her hands folded over the exercise books, seemingly fast asleep.
High schoolers really have it rough.
Mei Qia walked over and gently shook Xu Fei’s shoulder. “Xiao Fei, go sleep on the sofa. Didn’t you say you had a headache this morning?”
As she drew closer, Mei Qia noticed something was wrong.
Xu Fei’s face wore a sickly flush, and when Mei Qia touched her forehead, it felt uncharacteristically warm.
“Get up and take your temperature.”
Xu Fei slowly opened her eyes, the bright overhead light blurring her vision.
Before she could even make out Mei Qia’s face, a chaotic jumble of scents rushed over her, making her stomach churn.
It was the lingering pheromone smells clinging to Mei Qia.
Some belonged to Alphas, others to Omegas.
Xu Fei propped herself up against the desk, dropping her head as she dry-heaved twice.
Mei Qia took her temperature.
It read 36.9°C.
“No high fever, you probably just caught a cold.”
Mei Qia was busy and needed to head back downstairs. Before leaving, she tucked Xu Fei into bed and patted her. “You’ll feel better after a night’s sleep. Clean up your books yourself, I won’t touch them.”
Xu Fei: “Mm.”
She closed her eyes and fell into a dream filled with white roses.
After resting on Saturday, she went back to work on Sunday.
Her head still ached, but she couldn’t bring herself to just lie in bed with a clear conscience.
Xu Fei was used to this kind of life.
Mei Qia looked out for her, only assigning her light running errands.
Holding a clipboard, Xu Fei navigated between the private rooms, taking orders, settling bills, and validating group buy vouchers.
Her sense of smell had grown incredibly sensitive, she could detect many scents she previously wouldn’t have noticed, red wine, gardenia, tangerine, chamomile…
A voice called out from the walkie-talkie clip on her collar. “Xiao Fei, guests have arrived in Room 109.”
“Got it.”
The guests in 109 were a few Omegas having a great time, and the private room was thick with a chaotic mixture of pheromones.
Xu Fei kept her head down as she noted down the order. Someone was watching her from the shadows, their gaze sweeping over the server’s long legs and slender waist before finally locking onto her fingers.
Having done a lot of manual labor, her fingers weren’t delicate and exquisite like Zhu Nianxi’s, her joints were wide, and rough calluses coated her fingertips and palms.
Xu Fei had always thought her hands were ugly.
Noticing the look, she hid her hands away.
“Order placed. It will be brought to you shortly. Please wait a moment.”
As she shut the room door, the voices of the people inside filtered out.
“Why didn’t you ask for her WeChat?”
“Couldn’t you tell? She’s just a Beta. Boring.”
“Betas aren’t bad either…”
Her head throbbed even harder.
Xu Fei leaned against the wall to catch her breath, undoing a shirt button in an attempt to alleviate the deep, bone-deep feverish heat.
The room door clicked open, and someone from inside chased after her. Their eyes clearly lit up upon locking onto the Beta. Striding over in a few quick steps, they pulled out their phone.
“Did you hear that?”
The Omega paused, then flashed what they thought was a charming smile. “Don’t take what she said to heart. Would it be convenient to exchange WeChats? I’ve been watching you for a while.”
“I’m sorry.”
Xu Fei refused, turning away while enduring the intense discomfort.
Managing barely two steps, her vision blurred, her strength drained completely, and with a buckle of her knees, her body slid downward uncontrollably.
She fell into a soft embrace.
The newcomer carried the exact scent she yearned for, proud, elegant white roses. The crisp, cool floral fragrance instantly enveloped her, catching her securely in tandem with her savior’s movements.
Xu Fei looked up. Through a hazy blur, she saw a pair of pale pink lips slowly parting and closing.
“Feifei.”
Her glasses were deftly removed.
The Omega lowered her head, locking eyes with those amber, doe like eyes, and smiled slightly. “I’ve run into you again.”
“Nianxi?”
The customer looked over and asked, “Is she okay?”
“No need for you to worry,” Zhu Nianxi’s gaze swept past coldly. Holding Xu Fei, she offered a distant smile. “I am her friend.”
Mei Qia rushed over, crossing paths with the two of them at the end of the corridor.
“Let me take Xu Fei to rest.”
Zhu Nianxi looked over calmly, somewhat reluctant, but her right leg wouldn’t allow her to carry on. She had no choice but to loosen her grip around Xu Fei’s waist.
Mei Qia hauled Xu Fei into the elevator. Turning her head, she saw that the young mistress had followed them in, keeping her eyes downcast as she pressed the close door button, heading up to Mei Qia’s apartment together.
Everything she did seemed so completely natural and justified.
As they laid Xu Fei down on the sofa, Mei Qia noticed the girl frowning slightly, her gaze scanning the surroundings dispassionately.
Wait a minute, this is my house! Why do I feel guilty?
“Let me do it.”
Zhu Nianxi took the medicine tablets and held the water cup to feed her.
Xu Fei’s eyes were unfocused, completely unable to comprehend the situation before her. “Nianxi, why are you here?”
“An old classmate is celebrating their birthday and invited me.”
Mei Qia vouched for her. “Right in Room 113.”
She had noticed the Omega the moment she arrived. Whether it was her aura, the clothes she wore, or the flash of the wristwatch when she reached out, everything about her was completely out of place in a bar.
And then there were her “classmates.”
What Mei Qia had witnessed was merely one side eagerly currying favor while the other responded with aloof indifference.
For some reason, seeing Zhu Nianxi made Xu Fei feel much better, but she was terrified of troubling the Omega. “You should head back quickly, I’m fine.”
Zhu Nianxi pulled the blanket over her.
“Your mind isn’t clear right now. Rest for a bit before you talk.”
Xu Fei misinterpreted her meaning and lay back down.
“Okay, goodbye.”
Zhu Nianxi didn’t reply, walking outside with Mei Qia instead.
The door was left ajar, making it easy to keep an eye on Xu Fei.
Mei Qia sized up the young girl in front of her, trying to guess how many zeros were at the end of the price tag for that watch on her wrist.
Suddenly, she heard the girl ask, “Excuse me, when did Xu Fei start feeling unwell?”
“Yesterday in the early hours of the morning,” Mei Qia thought for a few seconds. “Actually, she already wasn’t feeling well when she came back on Friday.”
Zhu Nianxi pondered for a couple of seconds, her peripheral vision scanning the surrounding environment.
“How long has she been living here?”
“A week,” Mei Qia blurted out. “Before that, she slept in the storage room downstairs for over half a year.”
Zhu Nianxi’s expression darkened completely.
Mei Qia felt like an innocent passerby who had picked up a stray dog from the side of the road, only to have its wealthy owner come knocking on the door.
“She needs to save money for her grandmother’s surgery. You probably know her family situation better than I do.”
“I understand. Thank you for taking care of her.”
Zhu Nianxi pulled out her phone and dialed her assistant.
A chill ran down Mei Qia’s spine.
Why does it feel even more like that now?
Xu Fei didn’t know how long she had slept.
She guessed it must have been a while, because when she opened her eyes again, most of the discomfort in her body had faded.
Her body felt light, as if floating, there was no exhaustion, no pain.
“Sister Mei?”
Xu Fei sat up, only to see a completely different face by the small table in front of the sofa.
Zhu Nianxi was sitting on a tiny plastic stool, wearing a high-end, premium textured light blue maxi dress with the hem dragging on the floor. Clipped into her hair was the cheap hairpin Xu Fei usually used. Holding a black pen, she was busy correcting the calculation errors on Xu Fei’s scratch paper.
“Nianxi?”
Zhu Nianxi looked up. “You’re awake.”
“Why are you still here?”
Xu Fei hurriedly checked the time.
Two hours.
How could she have slept for two hours!
“I’m fine now, Nianxi, you should go back first.”
Xu Fei felt bad for her; Zhu Nianxi shouldn’t be here, watching over someone while crammed at such an awkwardly low table.
Zhu Nianxi’s hands paused in tidying the desk.
She let out a soft laugh. “Go back? You’re sick. Did you really think I would leave you here all by yourself?”
Xu Fei struggled to process this massive influx of information, her gaze turning a bit blank.
C-Can’t you?
Zhu Nianxi sat on the edge of the sofa. Raising her slender fingers, she slowly brushed aside the stray hairs on Xu Fei’s forehead, knitting her brows together as if Xu Fei’s words had made her incredibly, deeply heartbroken:
“You’re out here all alone, Feifei. How could I ever feel at ease?”
