“That’s no excuse for abandoning her. Even if I had to go without the antidote, I would never leave her alone in such a dangerous place.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Xiu Ka, despite his weakened state, tried to charge outside.

“I have to save her.” Xiu Ka’s voice grew weaker as he collapsed to the ground.
