- Billionaire’s Journey into the Beast World, Suitors Compete to Be Fed by Her!
- Chapter 27 - That Stinking Tiger Tried to Take Advantage While I Was Away!
Upon returning from the hunt, Xing Chi saw the intimate scene of the two embracing. Veins bulged on his forehead as he threw down his prey and immediately yanked Mi Yue out of Xiu Ka’s arms.
“Damn stinking tiger, trying to take advantage while I was away!”
Xing Chi angrily rubbed his fingers over those crimson lips, muttering, “Disgusting, absolutely disgusting.”
“Why didn’t you push him away?”
Mi Yue was speechless, her face a picture of innocence. (I didn’t expect this either.)
“Don’t you dare yell at her,” Xiu Ka said, his voice low and dark as he suppressed his turbulent emotions.
“She’s mine. I can yell at her however I want!” Xing Chi was furious but still retained enough sense to keep Mi Yue’s identity hidden.
“She belongs to herself, not you. You’re the one who should let go!”
Xing Chi laughed coldly in his rage. He pulled Mi Yue into his arms and forcefully kissed her, even biting her lips with his teeth.
Mi Yue pushed him away in pain. (What’s wrong with you? Why are you acting crazy?)
“Yue, tell him who you belong to.”
Mi Yue snorted and ignored him, turning her head away, only to spot a hunched elderly male hobbling toward the gates of Tiger City.
He handed something to the guards and was let in.
(Wu Er! He entered Tiger City! How did he get in???) Mi Yue was stunned.
Xiu Ka, too, forgot about his glaring contest with Xing Chi and rushed to the city gates, only catching a glimpse of his grandfather’s retreating figure.
“Grandfather! Where are you going? Come back!”
Xiu Ka desperately tried to follow but was blocked by two blue-tier males.
“No entry without a pass stone!”
“Let me go! My grandfather’s inside!” Xiu Ka struggled, but as a mere yellow-tier, he was no match for the blue-tier males.
[Feeding target Xiu Ka is emotionally unstable. Host, please provide immediate comfort.]
Mi Yue turned to Xing Chi beside her and asked softly, “You can get Xiu Ka inside, right?”
“Of course.”
Xing Chi lifted his chin smugly before adding, “But why should I help him?” Why would he aid his love rival? Was he that bored?
Mi Yue tugged at Xing Chi’s arm and said gently, “You’re such a good person. You wouldn’t want to see Xiu Ka separated from his grandfather, right?”
Xing Chi pulled his arm free and pinched Mi Yue’s delicate chin, amusement in his eyes. “Little liar. You think sweet-talking me into helping him is enough?”
“Then what do you want? You like sea urchin steamed eggs and salmon, right? I’ll order ten more servings for you.”
Xing Chi tapped his lips with a long finger, his meaning clear.
“You… There are so many people here. I won’t.” Besides, she was still disguised as a male shaman. Kissing another male in public would look far too suspicious.
“Then suit yourself.”
[Feeding target Xiu Ka is under attack! Host, please intervene!]
Mi Yue gasped and looked toward the gates, where the two blue-tier guards were now kicking and punching Xiu Ka.
Damn it! (〃>皿<)!!!
The people of the Tiger Tribe saw it too, but not a single one stepped forward to help.
Xing Chi watched leisurely, even whistling a carefree tune.
Mi Yue clenched her fists, then wrapped her arms around Xing Chi’s neck and gave him a fleeting peck on the lips, trying to pull away, only for him to drag her back into a deeper kiss.
The alarm from the system sounded again just as their sweet, lingering kiss finally ended.
Mi Yue’s face was flushed, and she panted slightly, “Th-that should be enough now.”
Xing Chi was in an excellent mood. He took her small hand and led her toward the city gates.
From his storage pouch, he pulled out a dark stone flecked with gold and handed it to the two male guards, along with two crystal beads.
The guards smiled as they pocketed the beads. “Those with a pass stone may bring their family members into the city freely.”
Supporting Xiu Ka, Mi Yue entered the city with Xing Chi.
“Isn’t the pass stone enough? Why did you give them crystal beads?” Mi Yue asked, puzzled.
Xing Chi tapped her smooth forehead. “The pass stone only covers one person. For others to enter Tiger City, each must pay one crystal bead, that’s the rule.”
Mi Yue was speechless. Even in the Beast World, there was such a thing as toll fees. Great, they hadn’t even started earning yet and had already spent two crystal beads.
“Thank you. I’ll repay you for the crystal beads in the future,” Xiu Ka said solemnly, pressing a hand to his chest.
He had heard rumors about crystal beads, they were found inside the magical beasts of the Giant Beast Forest and were extremely rare.
The two blue crystal beads Xing Chi had just given were even more uncommon. This was a debt he absolutely had to repay.
“Please. With your Yellow-tier strength, you’d die before even reaching the edge of the Giant Beast Forest,” Xing Chi said, his disdain unconcealed.
Mi Yue frowned and shot him a glare, signaling him to shut up.
Xing Chi shrugged. Sigh, can’t even speak the truth these days.
Tiger City was indeed prosperous, comparable to ancient human cities. Stone buildings lined the streets, and vendors hawked their wares.
Most transactions were barter-based, with only rare goods exchanged for crystal beads.
Mi Yue pursed her lips. It seemed that if she wanted to earn crystal beads, she’d have to focus on “rarity equals value.”
But the immediate priority was finding Wu Er. Everything else could wait.
Once inside the city, Xiu Ka followed his grandfather’s scent to a large stone house, roughly a hundred square meters in size, guarded by two males at the entrance.
“Get lost! Don’t stand there being an eyesore. Our master has no low-tier relatives like you. Scram!”
A green-haired male roughly shoved an elderly man with graying hair.
The old man was frail and no match for him, easily knocked to the ground.
“I really am a relative of your mistress. Please, just tell her Wu Er is here to see her. She’ll definitely meet me if she hears!”
Wu Er scrambled up from the ground, smiling ingratiatingly.
The green-haired male scowled in irritation. “Get lost! If you don’t leave now, don’t blame me for being rough!”
Wu Er gritted his teeth and tried to force his way in, but the male easily pinned him to the ground.
“You old fool, you’re asking for death!” The green-haired male raised his fist high, ready to smash it into Wu Er’s face.
“Stop!” A sharp male voice rang out.
A yellow-haired male sprinted toward them, followed closely by a blue-haired male and a thin, frail one.
Recognizing Xing Chi’s ice-blue hair, the green-haired male quickly exchanged a glance with his companion, who promptly dashed inside the stone house.
Xiu Ka helped his grandfather up, anxiously checking him for injuries. Seeing the scrapes and bruises, his chest heaved with rage.
Clenching his fists, he unleashed his full aura, ready to attack the male who had laid hands on Wu Er but the old man held him back desperately.
Wu Er shook his head, his face full of pleading. “Xiu Ka, don’t-don’t cause trouble.”
“Grandpa!” Xiu Ka was utterly baffled by this reaction.
Just then, there was movement at the stone house’s entrance. A plump young female and a tall, upright middle-aged male stepped out.
When Mi Yue got a clear look at the male’s appearance, she was stunned.
“This is…”
