After Transmigrating into a Scummy Alpha, I Became a Tool Person - Chapter 15
Xie Yinian had already reserved seats at the Royal Banquet Hall inside the castle.
When she and Xia Qiqi arrived, they were awestruck by the magnificent sight of the castle—it looked even more breathtaking up close.
They stepped inside. The Western-style interior, with its ornate chandeliers and golden accents, looked just like something out of an animated fairytale. For Xie Yinian, it was as if her childhood dream of being a princess had finally come true.
With a bright smile, she turned to Xia Qiqi. “Hey, Xia Qiqi, can I ask you something?”
“Go ahead,” Xia Qiqi replied.
“Who’s your favorite Disney character? Mine’s Lina Bell.”
Xia Qiqi was silent for a moment before saying softly, “I’ve never watched any animated films.”
“You’ve never watched one? Not even a single one?”
Xia Qiqi pressed her lips together and said quietly, “No. I never had the chance.”
When she was young, her parents only ever pushed her to study. Watching cartoons was forbidden, and there was never any time for it anyway.
To them, children didn’t need dreams. They just needed to behave—like pretty dolls, obedient and lifeless.
Hearing this, Xie Yinian felt a pang of sympathy. To have grown up without even the joy of cartoons—what kind of childhood was that?
She smiled gently. “That’s okay. Now that I’ve brought you here, you can finally experience a bit of what childhood joy feels like. The whole world may be forcing you to grow up—but Disneyland will always treat you like a child.”
Xia Qiqi’s eyes softened, her heart quietly touched by the warmth of Xie Yinian’s words.
“Thank you,” she murmured.
“Come on,” Xie Yinian said cheerfully.
They entered the Royal Banquet Hall, and a waiter led them to their table.
After sitting down, they browsed the menu and ordered a few dishes, along with some desserts for afterward.
The waiter noted down their selections, confirmed there were no other requests, and then nodded politely before leaving.
Soft music filled the hall. Resting her chin on one hand, Xie Yinian gazed at Xia Qiqi across the table.
“Qiqi,” she said suddenly, “is it okay if I call you that?”
Xia Qiqi took a sip of her coffee and said coolly, “You’d better call me President Xia.”
She didn’t like being called Qiqi. Her parents had always called her “Qiqi” too—same pronunciation, different character—and it carried too many unpleasant memories.
“That sounds so distant,” Xie Yinian said, smiling. “Then how about Xia Xia? It sounds cuter.”
So cheesy.
“Suit yourself,” Xia Qiqi said faintly.
“Xia Xia, Xia Xia—what a lovely name,” Xie Yinian repeated with a grin.
Xia Qiqi’s eyelashes trembled slightly as she lowered her gaze and continued sipping her coffee.
“Has anyone ever called you that before?” Xie Yinian asked.
“No.”
“Then I’m the first,” Xie Yinian said sweetly.
A faint blush rose to Xia Qiqi’s cheeks.
Just then, the food arrived.
The table was soon filled with a rich array of dishes. Xie Yinian couldn’t help but swallow at the sight, picked up her utensils, and began eating happily.
When they finished their meal and were enjoying dessert, a live cartoon performance began.
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy entered the hall—Mickey and Donald dressed as princes, Minnie and Daisy as princesses.
Their oversized heads wore cheerful smiles as they waved at every table in the restaurant.
They began dancing energetically, and the music filled the hall. Diners paused their meals to watch the show.
When the performance ended, Xie Yinian glanced at her watch. “There’s a parade later,” she said. “Do you want to go see it?”
“Sure,” Xia Qiqi replied.
After resting a bit, they headed outside to watch the parade.
On the floats were Pluto, Goofy, Chip, and Dale, all smiling as they waved and danced.
The crowd erupted in cheers—children clapped and jumped with excitement, calling out the names of their favorite characters.
Xie Yinian watched with a radiant smile, her face lit with joy.
Even Xia Qiqi, swept up in the contagious happiness of the moment, couldn’t help but curve her lips into a soft, genuine smile.
After watching the parade, the two sat down on a nearby bench to rest for a while. Suddenly, Xie Yinian spotted something in the distance—Lina Bell, the popular Disney character.
Excited, she exclaimed, “Let’s go take a picture with her!”
Xia Qiqi looked toward the mascot standing not far away—a plush pink fox with big white-tipped ears, bright blue eyes, a cute pink nose, and a fluffy tail. The costume was utterly adorable, covered in soft pink fur with a white belly.
Seeing how thrilled Xie Yinian looked, Xia Qiqi nodded. “Sure.”
Xie Yinian immediately took her hand and led her over. Lina Bell seemed to notice them approaching, waved cheerfully, and even made a heart gesture with her hands.
Overjoyed, Xie Yinian asked, “Can we take a picture together?”
Lina Bell nodded enthusiastically.
Xie Yinian quickly took out her phone and approached a passerby. “Hi, excuse me, could you help us take a photo?”
“Of course!” the passerby replied with a friendly smile.
Handing over her phone, Xie Yinian grasped Xia Qiqi’s hand again and stood beside Lina Bell. She flashed a bright peace sign at the camera, while Xia Qiqi simply pressed her lips together and looked calmly into the lens.
Click! The photo was taken.
“Thank you!” Xie Yinian said, turning to both Lina Bell and the passerby. Lina Bell waved goodbye and went on to greet other visitors.
The passerby handed back her phone. “Here you go, it’s all done.”
“Thanks!” Xie Yinian said, smiling.
“You’re welcome. By the way,” the passerby added curiously, “are you two a couple?”
Xie Yinian froze. “A couple?”
The person nodded, pointing at their clothes. “You’re wearing matching outfits.”
Xie Yinian glanced at Xia Qiqi’s outfit—a light blue blouse with a white skirt—and then at her own. The colors did match perfectly.
Awkwardly, she laughed. “Uh, no, we’re not.”
“Oh, really? That’s a shame,” the passerby said regretfully. “You two look great together.”
Xie Yinian gave an embarrassed smile, and after returning the phone, the passerby walked away.
Sipping from the drink she’d bought earlier, Xia Qiqi asked casually, “Where to next?”
Xie Yinian pointed at a few spots on the map. “Let’s try all of these.”
They spent the entire day exploring the park, and by evening, it was finally time for the main event—the fireworks show Xie Yinian had been looking forward to all day.
After dinner, they went to the castle courtyard. Xie Yinian found a perfect spot for them to watch the fireworks and waited eagerly.
Minutes ticked by, and she started to grow restless.
Then, suddenly—the castle lit up with dazzling lights.
Her eyes widened in delight. The fireworks were finally starting!
Brilliant bursts of color shot into the night sky. In an instant, the darkness bloomed into a magnificent display of shimmering lights, painting the heavens in vibrant hues.
Xia Qiqi’s eyes glimmered with awe.
Xie Yinian gazed up, her eyes reflecting the colorful explosions above, the flickering lights mirrored in her pupils.
Then, almost at the same time, they turned to look at each other—and both froze.
A soft smile curved Xie Yinian’s lips. It was different from her usual cheerful grin—warmer, gentler, filled with affection, as if her entire world had narrowed to just Xia Qiqi.
Xia Qiqi found herself completely captivated by that smile, unable to look away for a long, long moment.
