After Transmigrating into a Ridiculous Alpha, I Saved My Aloof Omega Wife - Chapter 20
Hearing the words “you look good no matter what,” Cheng Jianli felt a faint blush rise to her cheeks. She remained silent for a few seconds before softly saying, “There are no scars on my arms.”
Jiang Muyan reflexively asked, “Really?”
Cheng Jianli: “Mm.”
Jiang Muyan: “Can I see?”
Cheng Jianli: “? See what?”
“Your arms,” Jiang Muyan said with an earnest expression. “You’re still wearing your autumn uniform, it must be stuffy. Teacher Cheng, you really shouldn’t wear such thick clothes in summer. It’s so hot.”
Cheng Jianli did indeed feel stifled and warm. After a moment’s thought, under Jiang Muyan’s gaze, she unzipped her uniform and took it off, placing it aside.
Underneath, she wore a high-necked sleeveless undershirt.
Jiang Muyan froze. Cheng Jianli’s arms were jade-white and flawless, purer than winter snow. Even though she had seen them many times before, she still thought this person’s skin was just so fair and beautiful.
Cheng Jianli asked, “See? No scars.”
Jiang Muyan scratched her cheek sheepishly. “Then do you have any on your body?”
Cheng Jianli: “…?”
Before she could answer, Jiang Muyan scooted closer and, as if unable to help herself, began stroking her arm, murmuring, “But your arms are so fair. How can you be this fair?”
This was the first time someone had touched her like this, back and forth. Cheng Jianli felt slightly uncomfortable, but she didn’t move. “What are you doing?”
“Testing the texture,” Jiang Muyan said, simply pinching and stroking her arm without any further actions. “Teacher Cheng, is your whole body this smooth?”
Cheng Jianli swallowed, the scent-blocking patch on the back of her neck growing warm. “Probably…”
“Ah!” Jiang Muyan suddenly exclaimed. “I remember you got scratched on the back of your neck. Has that healed yet?”
Cheng Jianli paused. “Probably.”
“Will it leave a scar?” Jiang Muyan asked.
“Do you care about that?” Cheng Jianli replied. “I’m not prone to scarring, so there are hardly any marks on me. Even if there are, they fade quickly.”
Jiang Muyan continued kneading her arm.
“My skin is just more delicate,” Cheng Jianli said. “Though it heals fast, it reddens easily.”
No sooner had she spoken than Jiang Muyan pinched her arm, leaving a small red mark.
Cheng Jianli: “…”
Jiang Muyan immediately let go. “Sorry, was I too rough?”
“It’s fine,” Cheng Jianli said indifferently. “It’ll fade soon.”
Jiang Muyan straightened up. “Teacher Cheng, do you have cool-toned fair skin?”
“Cool-toned fair skin?”
“Yeah, it’s genetic people with it never tan,” Jiang Muyan sighed enviously. “I’m so jealous.”
“You’re fair too,” Cheng Jianli said honestly.
“Thanks,” Jiang Muyan said shyly. “But not as smooth as you. Are other parts of you this fair and smooth too?”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
Did they really have to discuss this?
Calmly, Cheng Jianli said, “I’m putting my uniform back on.”
Jiang Muyan let out a disappointed “Oh,” then picked up the cold towel again. “Let me wipe your face instead.”
Cheng Jianli: “Actually, I’m feeling much better. There’s no need.”
Jiang Muyan glared at her. “No way! You had heatstroke, let me help you wipe your face.”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
For some reason, she could never refuse Jiang Muyan. Relenting, she said, “I can do it myself.”
“How are you going to wipe yourself? Look at all the sweat on the back of your neck, let me help you.” Jiang Muyan looked eager to assist.
Cheng Jianli had a scent-blocking patch on the back of her neck. She blocked Jiang Muyan’s arm. “Really, it’s not necessary…”
Jiang Muyan looked dejected after being rejected. “Teacher Cheng, do you not consider me a friend?”
Cheng Jianli said, “No, you are my friend.”
“Then why won’t you let me help you?” Jiang Muyan seemed genuinely hurt.
Cheng Jianli fell silent for a moment before replying, “The back of my neck…”
Jiang Muyan: “You really don’t see me as a friend.”
Seeing Jiang Muyan sulking, and remembering that she had carried her to the infirmary, Cheng Jianli reluctantly relented. “Fine, go ahead and wipe it.”
But then Jiang Muyan pouted. “No, I don’t want to anymore.”
Cheng Jianli asked, “Why?”
Jiang Muyan declared stubbornly, “Because I was born rebellious.”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
She didn’t say anything more. She never wanted anyone to know about her secondary gender, and if Jiang Muyan accidentally saw her scent gland, she wouldn’t know how to explain.
Though, no matter what excuse she came up with, Jiang Muyan would probably believe her anyway.
After a while, Jiang Muyan inched closer again and asked softly, “Teacher Cheng, is your head still dizzy?”
Cheng Jianli: “No.”
Jiang Muyan let out an “Oh,” seeming restless. “Well, uh… maybe I should still help you wipe it after all, hahaha…”
Cheng Jianli smiled faintly. “Weren’t you born rebellious?”
Jiang Muyan made a motion with her hands. “For you, I just broke it.”
Cheng Jianli: “…”
Jiang Muyan picked up the cold towel and moved closer. Cheng Jianli didn’t resist, simply tilting her head back to look at her.
From this angle, Cheng Jianli’s eyes shimmered with a clear, radiant light, making her skin appear as pale as snow. Jiang Muyan’s heart inexplicably stirred at the sight, but she quickly snapped out of it and began gently wiping Cheng Jianli’s forehead, cheeks, and neck with the towel.
The icy sensation made Cheng Jianli tense at first, but she soon relaxed. Jiang Muyan’s movements were slow and tender, as if handling delicate porcelain.
Suddenly, Jiang Muyan spoke up. “Teacher Cheng, your mango scent is really nice.”
Cheng Jianli knew what she meant, it was her pheromones subtly leaking out.
Few people had ever been this close to her before, and she always wore high-collared shirts and her school uniform, so no one had ever caught her scent.
But Jiang Muyan had gotten too close several times now, making it impossible to miss.
Meanwhile, Jiang Muyan was puzzled. Why didn’t her own band-aids have this fragrant effect? She was using the same ones as Cheng Jianli! How unfair!
So she leaned in closer, taking a deep breath near Cheng Jianli’s neck, and sighed. “You smell so good, Teacher Cheng. I could just keep sniffing you forever.”
The warmth of Jiang Muyan’s breath tickled Cheng Jianli’s neck, making her push her away. “That’s enough.”
Unfazed, Jiang Muyan shyly added, “Teacher Cheng, can I touch your arm again?”
She really thought her wife’s arms were so soft and pretty! Pink bubbles of delight floated in Jiang Muyan’s heart.
Cheng Jianli: “?”
“Look, I wiped your face and even carried you to the infirmary,” Jiang Muyan said energetically. “If you’re still worried, you can feel my arm too!”
Cheng Jianli replied, “Don’t you think the idea of us feeling each other’s arms in the infirmary is a little weird?”
“Not at all! I can just feel yours then!” Jiang Muyan blurted out before realizing how that sounded. “Actually, I just think your skin is nicer than mine so fair and smooth, hahaha…”
Cheng Jianli stared at her silently before saying, “Let’s just go back to the classroom.”
Jiang Muyan let out a dejected “Oh,” wondering what she had said wrong. Why did her wife look so unhappy?
