- After the Straight Male Incubus Became a Heartthrob
- Chapter 3 - "Still Pretending to be Straight? You're So Experienced!"
The moment they stepped through the door, Ye Lin was pinned against it and kissed. With his back pressed against the wood and his hands held down, he found it impossible to break free. He was drunk and had not yet cleared his head.
In his dazed state, it felt as if he were eating sweet fruit pulp, and he could not help but take the initiative to taste it.
Gu Jiazhi let out a hiss of pain when Ye Lin bit him. Releasing his hold, he stared into Ye Lin’s moist eyes and muttered under his breath, “Still pretending to be straight? You are so experienced!”
Ye Lin did not understand what he was saying; he simply leaned in instinctively to maintain his balance. There had been delicious jelly just a moment ago, but now it was gone.
Gu Jiazhi had only recently started university and had never been in a relationship, let alone been intimate with anyone. Having never encountered someone with Ye Lin’s level of skill, he could not help but suspect that Ye Lin had been with many men before and was only faking innocence.
A flash of disdain crossed his mind as he labeled him “damaged goods,” but seeing those blurry, innocent eyes, he could not resist dragging him toward the bathroom.
However, before they even reached the bathroom, Ye Lin felt a powerful wave of nausea and made a sound as if he were about to retch. Terrified, Gu Jiazhi shoved him into the toilet stall and waited impatiently by the door.
Ye Lin hugged the toilet and vomited violently, making a horrific sound. Gu Jiazhi’s burgeoning mood vanished instantly. He massaged his temples in frustration, deeply regretting bringing Ye Lin home. Had he known it would be like this, he would have been better off leaving the guy in the bar’s private room.
After he finished vomiting, Ye Lin grabbed a wet wipe to clean his mouth. He slumped on the floor and moaned in distress. “I feel so sick. I want water.”
Exasperated to the limit, Gu Jiazhi gripped the doorframe tightly. “If you want water, stand up and get it yourself.”
Ye Lin, consumed by his own discomfort, ignored the other’s mood and repeated his demand. “I want water! Water!”
Suppressing his anger, Gu Jiazhi eventually handed him a glass. After drinking the water, Ye Lin opened his eyes, saw Gu Jiazhi, and reached out to him. “Jiazhi, help me up.”
Gu Jiazhi rolled his eyes and grumbled internally, He is actually ordering me around! Does he think I am a gullible idiot like Liang Wenle?
In reality, his relationship with Liang Wenle was purely superficial. They had grown up in the same social circles and knew each other by association. They appeared close, but they secretly looked down on one another.
When Ye Lin was incoherent, his voice became thick and clingy. He murmured as if he were acting spoiled. “I cannot stand up. Help me, please.”
All you do is act up. Fine, you can sleep in the bathroom tonight!
After cursing him in his head, Gu Jiazhi recalled how restless he had felt when he first saw Ye Lin at the drinking table. He had planned to “have a taste” tonight, but now that the guy had vomited like this, he was unpalatable. Gu Jiazhi was forced to give up.
To think he had plotted all evening, spending so much time and effort just to bring a nuisance through his door—it was infuriating! Too lazy to deal with this idiot any longer, he decided sleep was more important.
After a long period of silence, the cold floor tiles finally cleared Ye Lin’s head a little. He struggled to open his eyes only to find that Gu Jiazhi had vanished. He had no choice but to use the wall for support to stand up, wobbling outward in search of a place to sleep.
Ye Lin looked at the closed master bedroom door and walked toward it. Inside the room, Gu Jiazhi closed his eyes, only to see the image of a drunken Ye Lin leaning against Liang Wenle. His cheeks had been flushed, his small mouth was slightly parted, and his collar was open to reveal prominent collarbones.
Ye Lin always liked to look at people with those ignorant, innocent eyes while intentionally making seductive movements. He was truly calculating. Moreover, despite claiming he did not like men and was straight, he would throw himself into a man’s arms the moment he saw one. He was a mess!
When it came to “pretending to be straight,” Ye Lin’s acting was not even ten percent as good as Gu Jiazhi’s own. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got.
Thump, thump, thump!
A knock sounded at the door. It continued, one after another, making it impossible to sleep. Gu Jiazhi eventually got out of bed to open it. Before he could see who it was, he was met with a person falling into his arms.
Ye Lin leaned against him and muttered, “Gu Jiazhi, you are so disloyal. You actually went to sleep without me. Hurry, help your brother inside to sleep.”
Gu Jiazhi’s first instinct was to snap at him, but he lost his voice the moment he saw Ye Lin’s face. His cheeks were still red, his hair was slightly messy, and his long, curled eyelashes cast shadows. One could even see the fine peach fuzz on the surface of his fair, small, upturned nose.
Fine. He felt a bit of an itch again.
Gu Jiazhi helped him up, intending to kiss him as soon as he set him down. However, within moments, Ye Lin fell fast asleep. Gu Jiazhi lost interest in someone who was unconscious. His desire withered instantly, and he could not help but bark, “Damn it!”
Ye Lin did not answer. Instead, he let out a soft whimper. He must have been having a beautiful dream because the corners of his mouth turned up, making him look silly.
Having been played twice in one night, Gu Jiazhi was unhappy. Despite his cursing, he still helped Ye Lin take off his shoes and tucked him in before preparing to leave. Suddenly, Ye Lin reached out and grabbed him, murmuring, “Don’t go!”
His tone sounded pitiful, like a kitten afraid of being abandoned, meowing in hopes of softening its owner’s heart. He was likely dreaming of the scene where his mother abandoned him, which was why he was pleading so humbly.
Gu Jiazhi suddenly remembered how, as a child, he had grasped his mother’s hand to beg for something, only for it to be given to his brother instead. Even though they were twins, his parents were still biased.
Ye Lin’s grip tightened slightly, and his expression was pained as two trails of tears slowly fell. The crystalline droplets added a sense of fragility to that handsome face, evoking pity.
“You are annoying as hell!” Gu Jiazhi cursed, yet he still lay down, letting Ye Lin hold his wrist.
Lying sideways like this, he could clearly see Ye Lin’s face glowing like white porcelain. He reached out to touch it; it was as delicate as jade. No wonder Liang Wenle said his face was nice to touch—it was warmer than porcelain and finer than suet jade. He could not put it down.
Slowly, Gu Jiazhi felt drowsiness wash over him. He reached out to turn off the bedside lamp and fell asleep.
In his dream, Ye Lin became the richest man in the world. His assets were measured in trillions, and the daily interest in his bank account exceeded a hundred million. He had properties everywhere, and his hundred-million-dollar private jets and yachts were too numerous to count. Every man looked up to him as an idol, envying and jealous of him.
But suddenly, a clap of thunder rang out. All the money flew away. His bank balance decreased every second, and his assets were being transferred frantically. Shaking with fear, he raised his hand in despair, begging the money not to leave.
But the money continued to vanish until it hit zero and even began to turn into negative numbers.
Why leave me? This is too hopeless!
“Money, do not go!”
He broke down. His nose stung, and he felt a powerful urge to cry, eventually bursting into loud sobs. Crying until he nearly fainted, he finally woke up, instinctively clutching the blanket.
He looked up at the exquisite chandelier on the ceiling and felt the sound of breathing beside him. Ye Lin turned his head and found Gu Jiazhi lying next to him. Realizing it had all been a dream, his emotions became complicated.
He remembered drinking with a group of rich heirs at the bar yesterday. It seemed he had come back with Gu Jiazhi and had vomited for a long time. It was Gu Jiazhi who helped him up and settled him in.
He had not expected Gu Jiazhi to be such a good person. I could take him in as a “little brother,” Ye Lin thought. He secretly resolved that if he ever had a chance to strike it rich, he would bring Gu Jiazhi along first. After all, this was the first “straight man” to show him such kindness.
At that moment, Gu Jiazhi opened his eyes. Noticing the tear stains on Ye Lin’s cheeks and his reddened eyes, he asked politely, “It seems you did not sleep well yesterday. Are you okay now?”
Ye Lin sighed. “I had a terrible nightmare. I will be fine once I take a moment to recover.”
Gu Jiazhi looked thoughtful. “The past is in the past. Do not dwell on it too much; it is meaningless.”
Ye Lin nodded in agreement. “Yeah, you are right, brother. What belongs to me will eventually come. There is no need to rush.”
Gu Jiazhi looked at his red eyes, which were now flickering with a glimmer of hope. Watching his lips move as he spoke, Gu Jiazhi noted how optimistic he seemed. Many thoughts began to pop into his head, and he could not help but lean in.
Suddenly, a notification sound chimed, ruining the atmosphere that was about to become romantic. Ye Lin picked up his phone. It was a message from Liang Wenle.
[Liang Wenle]: Three days from now at the Nuji Racing Track. You need to come and cheer for me. Shen Shao will be there too, so remember to stay sharp.
[Ye Lin]: Young Master Liang, how about you send me some money to spend first?
[Liang Wenle]: You have not even done anything yet and you are already asking for money! I will give you 500,000 after the racing event is over.
[Ye Lin]: Kind and generous Young Master Liang, just give me 100,000 first.
[Liang Wenle]: No way.
Seeing Liang Wenle’s firm attitude, Ye Lin did not push further. He just cursed him under his breath for being stingy. He took a screenshot of the conversation; he would demand the 500,000 right after the race in three days.
Ye Lin checked his phone balance: only 2,200 yuan. All of this was money earned through the Succubus System, with Liang Wenle and Gu Jiazhi contributing the bulk of it. It seemed that staying with Gu Jiazhi also earned him 100 per hour.
In that case, he could not let Gu Jiazhi go easily. He had to find a way to spend more time with him.
Ye Lin had a sudden idea. Pretending to be in pain, he rubbed his stomach. “Do you have anything to eat at your place? I drank on an empty stomach yesterday, and now I am starving.”
Gu Jiazhi noticed his narrow, slender waist and replied nonchalantly, “I do.”
Ye Lin scrambled out of bed. “Great! I will have breakfast here.”
Gu Jiazhi pointed him toward the washroom, then ducked into the bathroom himself and turned on the cold water.
After finishing breakfast, Ye Lin sat in the dining room waiting for Gu Jiazhi. More than an hour later, Gu Jiazhi finally walked out drying his hair, having just finished his shower.
Guys usually shower so fast—ten minutes tops. This guy took so long. How high-maintenance! Ye Lin grumbled internally, then asked tentatively, “Jiazhi, there is still breakfast left. Hurry up and eat.”
Gu Jiazhi glanced at the dishes on the table and set his towel down. “I have to head out now. I will not be eating.”
Seeing him leaving, Ye Lin quickly followed. “Where are you going? I want to go too.”
For the sake of money, he was always thick-skinned and entirely unafraid of awkwardness.
Feeling Ye Lin’s presence, Gu Jiazhi felt extremely irritable. However, remembering that Ye Lin had cried that morning, he restrained his tone. “It is family business. Do not get involved.”
Since the rejection was explicit, it would not be right to keep pestering him, or it would seem like he had no sense of boundaries. Ye Lin did not want to lose this new friend, so he gave up on following him, said his goodbyes, and returned to his own place.
Compared to Gu Jiazhi’s luxury flat, his home appeared dilapidated. The room barely fit a small round table and a single bed; the remaining space was not even enough to lay out a suitcase. The toilet and bathroom were not separated, making it so small he could not stretch his arms, and the wall plaster was peeling off. A faint smell of mold lingered everywhere.
Disgusted by the room, Ye Lin opened a rental app to find a new place, but he suddenly heard a commotion outside. A moment later, his door was kicked open. The landlord stood at the doorway, flanked by several burly men who looked like thugs.
The landlord was a fat, middle-aged man with a gruff voice. “You are a year behind on rent! You settle up today, or you get the hell out!”
One of the men behind him pulled out a paper contract. “It is time to pay this month’s interest.”
Rent and loan interest!
Alarm bells rang in Ye Lin’s head. He had almost forgotten about the protagonist’s “disastrous start” in this story.
