- Chapter 32 - I Choose to Force My Love
Yan Run’s fingers tightened involuntarily.
Ah Yue, Ah Yue… I’m going to find out whether Yu Wenxi truly likes you or not. If she doesn’t have the slightest feeling for you, then you can’t blame me for what happens next.
Forget it… I’ll still give this woman back to you.
Yu Wenxi could feel Yan Run holding herself back, but she had no idea what exactly she was restraining.
That night, Yu Wenxi told the director to end the livestream early.
Fans, of course, assumed the two of them were off “making babies” again—half teasing, half gleefully waving their shipping flags.
“What are you holding back for?”
On the soft, luxurious bed, an Alpha and an Omega faced each other—one on top, one beneath—locking eyes.
And yet here the Alpha was, pinned under the Omega, looking as if she were the one being bullied.
The Omega hooked a finger under the Alpha’s chin. Her eyes were like gentle water, yet in their depths hid a hunger for the Alpha.
The Alpha gazed up at the stunning Omega, torn between excitement and agony. She shook her head. “Nothing.”
Yu Wenxi let out a soft laugh. “Then… how about we talk about last night?”
The Alpha’s eyes widened. “What’s there to talk about last night?”
“You made me hurt.” Yu Wenxi pouted, tapping her own body as she spoke.
The Alpha hissed softly, both guilty and… strangely excited. The tips of her ears flushed red.
“I didn’t think you’d be so rough,” Yu Wenxi murmured, her voice a mix of cool elegance and lingering warmth, each word brushing against the Alpha’s ear like a teasing caress.
“I… didn’t expect it to be like that either.” Yan Run said.
“You said you’d been abstinent, but when you finally lost control, your stamina was… impressive. Have you been holding back all this time?” Yu Wenxi asked.
“I really didn’t mean—”
“I’ve decided to forgive you for what happened last night,” Yu Wenxi interrupted. “But in the future, can you be gentler with me?”
Yan Run froze. Wait… still… still… Does this mean Yu Wenxi doesn’t want a divorce?
No!
Impossible! She must just want a child with me—that’s it!
It had to be to appease her family’s constant urging. Whether it was He Yunzhi and Yu Huanzhu, or Yu Qingyue and Luo Wenting, even the Yan family relatives—they all wanted the two of them to have a child.
Yan Run recalled what Yan Huainan had said earlier that morning. This had to be some scheme they’d cooked up together to force Yu Wenxi into having a child with her. Outrageous! And here she’d actually trusted her.
Yan Run glared at Yu Wenxi. You tricked me again.
“We agreed not to touch each other casually. Did you forget?” Yan Run asked coldly.
Yu Wenxi paused, then flashed a dazzling, worldly smile. “Oh… I forgot.”
Yan Run: “…”
“Then get off me!” Yu Wenxi suddenly covered her mouth. Yan Run made a muffled protest, staring pitifully at her.
Yu Wenxi shushed her. “You’ve lost your memory, haven’t you? Then why can’t I? Do we have any proof of what we said back then?”
Yan Run’s eyes widened. She pushed Yu Wenxi’s hand away. “We… we signed a contract at the beginning.”
“That’s the reality show contract, right?” Yu Wenxi said.
“No, the one-year marriage agreement.” Yan Run replied.
Yu Wenxi didn’t reply. She simply smiled and rummaged in her bag, pulling out a thin contract and handing it over.
Yan Run flipped it open immediately. Sure enough—it was their dating variety show contract.
“This isn’t the one!” Yan Run blurted.
Yu Wenxi shrugged. “If you claim there’s a marriage agreement, do you actually have a copy?”
“…You never gave me one.” Yan Run replied.
Strange… Why hadn’t she asked for a backup?
Yu Wenxi clicked her tongue. “Since neither of us has it, then does that agreement really even exist?”
Yan Run’s head swam. Had she ever actually looked at that contract? Even if it had existed, why didn’t she keep the second copy?
Did that mean she hadn’t lost her memory back then?
Or… had she lost it twice?
The thought only made her more confused—until a pair of cool hands suddenly seized hers. She jumped and looked over.
Yu Wenxi leaned in, her gaze locking onto Yan Run’s startled expression. Her smile deepened, laced with dangerous amusement.
“Did you hear what Father said today? About us having a child…” Yu Wenxi’s lips curved in a faint smile. “I think he’s right. Besides, my grandmother would love to have a great-grandchild.”
“No way!” Yan Run yanked her hand back and tried to get up—only for Yu Wenxi to grab her arm again. Her tone was light, but her words were sharp.
“I’m holding you tightly now. If you want to shake me off, you’ll have to use a lot of force. Maybe I’ll hit my head on the floor. Maybe I’ll fall against the bedframe. You wouldn’t do that to your wife, would you?”
Yan Run knew she was right. With their current positioning, if she shoved Yu Wenxi hard enough, the Omega’s slender frame could be flung dangerously far.
“Yu Wenxi… I really don’t know what you’re thinking anymore.” Yan Run said.
Hearing the Alpha’s helpless, pained voice, Yu Wenxi smiled. “Do you really want to understand me? I could let you get to know me better… much better.”
Yan Run nearly choked on her own blood. What is this even turning into?!
Seeing her stiff expression, Yu Wenxi finally released her and spoke gently. “I was just teasing you. Didn’t expect your reaction to be so cute.”
Yan Run snorted coldly. Cold, aloof beauty, my foot. If the livestream were still running, her fans would probably all unfollow her on the spot.
“You’re sure you were joking?” Yan Run asked, curling into herself warily. She still didn’t fully believe her.
Yu Wenxi picked up her bag. “You can have the bed tonight. You’ve been sleeping on the sofa long enough—it must be tiring.”
Yan Run gave a short reply. She knew there was more than one bedroom in the house. Watching Yu Wenxi’s graceful figure disappear out the door, she finally exhaled.
Later that night, after a shower, she crawled into bed. It was wonderfully comfortable, and drowsiness crept over her almost immediately.
Everything lately had been so surreal. She still couldn’t understand why she didn’t have a copy of the marriage agreement. Maybe she needed to check at home.
And Yu Wenxi… ever since that incident with the aphrodisiac, she’d been far too passionate toward her—completely at odds with her usual personality. It was unsettling, even a little frightening.
Thinking about it, she drifted into an uneasy sleep.
She was awakened by the faint sound of footsteps.
Blinking blearily, she saw the silhouette of a graceful woman in front of her.
The dim moonlight spilled in from outside. Yan Run could see that it was an Omega, hair tied up to reveal a long, snowy neck. A suppression patch clung to the back of it. She wore an obsidian-black short nightdress, the neckline loose enough to expose a swath of pale skin—an alluring, dangerous beauty.
Yan Run was just about to ask what she wanted when that soft, warm figure suddenly leaned into her arms. Instinctively, Yan Run held her, thinking the Omega must be in some kind of trouble.
“What’s wrong?” She was now fully awake, watching Yu Wenxi tremble in her embrace, worried something had frightened her.
A pang of guilt and tenderness welled up in her chest. Maybe if they had stayed together from the start, she wouldn’t be in such a state.
Yu Wenxi’s voice was soft and pitiful. “Baby, I’m scared. Can I sleep with you?”
Yan Run sighed. “Fine. Go get your blanket.”
She started to take her own blanket to the sofa, but Yu Wenxi caught her wrist.
Yan Run: “…?”
Yu Wenxi lifted her bare, makeup-free face and smiled faintly. “I meant the two of us sleeping together in the bed.”
Yan Run hesitated. There were two blankets, and it wasn’t like they’d never shared a bed before. Plus, she’d seen her trembling just moments ago—she really did seem frightened. She agreed. “Alright.”
Yu Wenxi gave a quiet hum of assent, then lifted Yan Run’s blanket and slipped right in.
“Wait—go get your own blanket. We’re not sharing one—”
Yu Wenxi blinked innocently. “This one’s big enough for both of us. Besides, two blankets on one bed will just get cramped.”
Yan Run found herself retreating step by step. She had the distinct feeling Yu Wenxi was testing her boundaries. But if Yu Wenxi pressed her a little more, she wouldn’t be able to refuse.
“…Fine.” Yan Run said. She shifted over, only for the Omega to immediately scoot closer.
“You—”
Suddenly, the Omega was in her arms again, trembling just like before.
Yan Run instinctively held her. “What is it now?”
“Do you not want to sleep with me? After everything you’ve already done to me, why won’t you?” The Omega’s voice was soft, almost coquettish—so unlike her usual cool, aloof tone.
And Yan Run couldn’t bring herself to reject it.
“It’s not that… I just think it’s strange,” she sighed. “We’re not truly married, and we have an agreement. This is breaking it.”
The Omega abruptly pushed the strong Alpha down. Startled, Yan Run looked up—only to see Yu Wenxi’s eyes glinting in the darkness.
“Don’t you like me?” Yu Wenxi asked, gaze locked onto her.
Yan Run’s heart pounded wildly. She wanted to say yes… but she couldn’t be sure Yu Wenxi truly liked her. She was an actress—who could tell if she was acting now?
Maybe, just like with Meng Qieyi, Yu Wenxi was simply playing with her. Or maybe she was following her family’s orders to have a child.
She could accept not divorcing—but having a child with someone who didn’t love her? Never.
Yan Run turned her head away. “We’re just friends. If I like you, it’s only as a friend.”
Yu Wenxi raised a brow. “Oh? You mean that?”
“Absolutely.”
Yu Wenxi’s fingers slid down to intertwine with hers, lacing them together.
What on earth was she doing?
“In that case…”
Yu Wenxi’s tone shifted in an instant—coquettish warmth vanishing, replaced by cold, regal dominance. Her gaze swept over Yan Run’s body like a blade, every inch igniting her skin. Yan Run swallowed hard, her heart pounding out of her chest.
“…I’ll just have to—”
Yu Wenxi’s voice was like ice and fire.
“—force my love.”
Yan Run: What?!
