After the Scummy Alpha Lost Her Memory, a Flirty Top Actress Set Her Sights on Her (GL) - Chapter 26
Yan Run planned to drive herself—five hours on the road.
She said to Yu Wenxi, “It’s a five-hour trip. If you get tired, just tell me and we’ll stop at a service station.”
Yu Wenxi nodded and leaned back in her seat to rest.
For the first part of the trip, neither of them spoke.
Two hours later, Yu Wenxi suddenly opened her eyes and said, “I need to use the restroom.”
Yan Run gave a soft “Mm” and pulled off at the nearest service area.
Traffic was heavy in this area. Yan Run glanced at her and asked, “Aren’t you worried someone might recognize you?”
Yu Wenxi put on sunglasses, a mask, and a hat. Even though her face was covered, her aura was far too striking to ignore—she could attract attention at any moment.
Worse yet, what if someone who had been watching the livestream happened to run into them? That would be mortifying.
Suddenly, Yan Run reached out and held Yu Wenxi’s hand. Startled, Yu Wenxi looked at her, and heard the alpha say calmly, “I’ll wait for you outside.”
【KSWL! Why is Ergou so good at this?】
【Nice! She’s getting more and more natural. Keep it up, Ergou!】
Yu Wenxi gave a cheerful “Mm.” Even with a mask on, you could sense she was smiling.
Fortunately, the public restroom at this service area was large and not very crowded. She came back quickly.
Outside, Yan Run put her arm around her as they walked back to the car. A few passersby began to glance curiously at the pair—they looked too much like celebrities. Maybe it was their aura. Maybe someone had indeed seen the livestream and knew a “celebrity couple” had just used the restroom here.
Once back in the car, Yan Run never let go of Yu Wenxi’s hand.
Yu Wenxi coughed lightly. “You’re driving and still holding my hand?”
Startled, Yan Run let go immediately, face flushed. “I didn’t even realize… I just reached out and grabbed it without thinking.”
Yu Wenxi smiled faintly. “It’s fine when you’re not driving. But not while behind the wheel.”
Yan Run gave a soft grunt of acknowledgment. Somehow, her heart felt a little lighter.
Soon, Yu Wenxi began chatting more actively.
“Once we get to Lan City’s Happy Valley, what ride do you want to go on first?”
“I heard there’s a hotpot place in Lan City that’s really good. We should try it.” Yan Run replied.
“I’ve been there a few times already—for shows, filming, stuff like that.” Yu Wenxi said.
Yan Run asked, “So you must go to that hotpot place often, then?”
Yu Wenxi shook her head. “Only been twice. Just found out about it recently.”
“So someone must’ve taken you there?” Yan Run said.
The word “someone” clearly referred to a certain person. Hearing the word “姐姐” (older sister), Yu Wenxi smiled instinctively. She reached over and tugged Yan Run’s ear playfully. Yan Run squirmed, making little noises of protest.
Yu Wenxi chuckled. “Yeah, a friend took me. Said it was so good, I just had to try it.”
Yan Run froze. That friend—could it be Ah Yue?
“You still keep in touch with that friend?” Yan Run asked.
Yu Wenxi nodded. “Of course.”
Yan Run’s heart skipped a beat. So she is still in contact with Ah Yue?
No way. If they were still close, would Yu Wenxi really be flirting with her now? Unless… they really were just friends.
With that thought, Yan Run suddenly felt a wave of clarity and stopped overthinking it.
They soon arrived in Lan City’s urban district. It looked a lot like City A—luxury malls, upscale restaurants, endless traffic and people.
Hearing the GPS prompt, Yan Run was going to take Yu Wenxi straight to the hotpot place. But Yu Wenxi said, “Let’s go to Happy Valley first. You’ve been wanting to go, right? Let’s do what you want first.”
Yan Run glanced at her. Truthfully, she hadn’t particularly wanted to go. Why had she claimed otherwise?
Still, Yu Wenxi’s words earlier had piqued her interest.
Thankfully, Yan Run had arranged for tickets in advance—otherwise they would be stuck waiting in line forever. Lan City’s Happy Valley was world-renowned. Crowds were expected.
Yet surprisingly, inside the park, there were only small clusters of people. A weekday crowd, not what you would expect on a weekend. Who had cleared the place out?
The weather was perfect. Yu Wenxi wore a black off-shoulder crop top and fringed denim shorts. She no longer looked like a cool, aloof heiress, but like a vibrant, carefree girl.
Yan Run instinctively glanced at her long, fair legs. Then quickly looked away. Were they just that eye-catching—or was she just a pervert?
She shook her head. Her legs really were beautiful… But Yan Run prided herself on being a responsible pervert. She couldn’t just ogle like that.
She coughed and—despite herself—snuck another look.
The park was so empty that even Yu Wenxi took off her sunglasses. “This is weird,” she said. “It’s the weekend—where is everyone?”
Meanwhile, some fans watching the stream were frantically reacting:
【Holy crap—I’m in Lan City too. I’m ditching class and heading straight to Happy Valley to bump into Xixi!】
【Don’t bother, you won’t get in.】
【Why not?!】
【It’s been locked down. Someone reserved the whole park. Only people already inside can stay.】
【No wonder it’s so empty. Who’s got that kind of pull? Ergou clearing the place to spend time with Xixi?】
【This is Lan City—must be the Ji family.】
【Oh right! Ji Zhiye and Wei Qin were livestreaming from Happy Valley too.】

While Yan Run and Yu Wenxi were looking over ride options…
Elsewhere, Ji Zhiye was holding an umbrella to shield Wei Qin from the sun.
Wei Qin had no idea the park had been privately reserved. She just found the emptiness odd. Removing her sunglasses, she smiled. “We came at the perfect time. I think I’m a little thirsty.”
Ji Zhiye, gazing at her elegant profile, was momentarily dazed.
“Want water? Or ice cream?”
“Ice cream. I’m happy today. I want something sweet—strawberry if they have it.” Wei Qin said.
“Alright! Wait here, I’ll go grab it.” Ji Zhiye replied.
Wei Qin sat down nearby as Ji Zhiye left.
Half a day with Ji Zhiye had made her feel like a pampered heiress again. Ji Zhiye treated her with such care, anticipating her every need without hesitation.
A sense of pride welled up in her. A wealthy heiress fawning over her—was she lucky, or what?
Soon Ji Zhiye returned with a pink strawberry ice cream cone—just one.
“You’re not having one?” Wei Qin asked, eyeing the cone.
“You eat it. I only allow myself sweets twice a month. Gotta watch my weight… Hehe. I already had two cream puffs earlier anyway.”
Wei Qin frowned slightly. Ji Zhiye had braved the sun just to bring this to her. Eating it in front of her felt… awkward.
She chuckled at herself. Since when do I feel embarrassed?
Ridiculous.
Still, she slowly began licking the ice cream, right in front of Ji Zhiye.
Ji Zhiye wasn’t tempted by the sweet scent of strawberries.
Seeing Wei Qin enjoy it was enough to make her happy too.
Soon, Wei Qin handed over the rest. Ji Zhiye blinked in surprise.
“It’s too sweet. I don’t want it anymore.” Wei Qin said.
Ji Zhiye: “Have a few more bites?”
Wei Qin batted her eyes. “Either throw it out, or you finish it.”
Ji Zhiye frowned. “It’s expensive. Isn’t that wasteful?”
Wei Qin laughed. A rich heiress worried about a bit of ice cream? She’s pretending, right?
“Then eat it.” Wei Qin said.
Ji Zhiye: “But I already—”
“You think I’m gross?” Wei Qin raised a brow.
“No! Of course not,” Ji Zhiye quickly said, before chomping down a huge bite.
Cool and sweet, the flavor melted on her tongue. The heat in her chest seemed to fade.
More than that—it was Wei Qin’s ice cream.
【Ohoho… this interaction is sweet. Can we talk about this?】
【These two are sus. I’m calling it—they’re gonna end up together.】
【Heiress puppy x tsundere film queen = perfect novel setup!】
Maybe Ji Zhiye didn’t realize it yet, but Wei Qin hadn’t given her the cone to throw away. She just wanted to see if Ji Zhiye would find her repulsive.
Apparently… she passed.
Meanwhile, somewhere across the park, Yan Run suddenly froze mid-step—perhaps sensing the presence of a powerful top-tier alpha nearby.
“What’s wrong?” Yu Wenxi turned back to look.
Yan Run shook her head with a smile. Her heart warmed at the concern in Yu Wenxi’s voice. “What do you want to ride first?”
Yu Wenxi pointed ahead to the drop tower ride, completely empty.
“Let’s try that one first,” she said brightly.
Back with Ji Zhiye and Wei Qin, they heard the thunderous sound of the drop tower operating.
Wei Qin turned to look. “Someone’s actually riding that? Aren’t they afraid of a heart attack?”
Ji Zhiye nodded. “Seriously.”
Wei Qin hadn’t really wanted to come to Happy Valley. She didn’t care where they went—just wanted to be with Ji Zhiye. Amusement parks weren’t her thing. She actually found them terrifying.
As they strolled toward the drop tower, they saw an alpha hunched on a bench, clearly traumatized and vomiting. Beside her, a calm Omega offered tissues and comfort.
Wei Qin and Ji Zhiye exchanged glances—it was them. One looked exhilarated, the other looked like she’d seen death.
It was Yan Run’s first time on the drop tower since losing her memory. She’d wanted to show bravery and protect the Omega beside her.
Only… the Omega didn’t need protecting. She was the one who nearly passed out.
【Yikes. This alpha’s not really cutting it.】
【Guess Xixi will have to protect her in the future.】
【With alpha like this, probably low fertility LOL】
【Good. I don’t want Xixi having kids anyway.】
【Let Ergou carry the baby!】
Yan Run’s eyes reddened. She mumbled, teary-eyed, “Can I not ride that again? It was horrifying.”
Yu Wenxi gently wiped her tears, laughing. “Okay, okay, we won’t. Don’t cry.”
Yan Run stubbornly shook her head. “I’m not crying. Just wind… made my eyes water.”
Wei Qin purposely gasped. “Really?”
Yu Wenxi shot her a glare. “So what if she’s scared? I think it’s cute.”
【WOW!!】
Yan Run’s face instantly turned crimson.
This Omega… was too much.
