After the Scummy Alpha Lost Her Memory, a Flirty Top Actress Set Her Sights on Her (GL) - Chapter 25
The six single participants were starting to write their invitation letters to their chosen dates.
Unsurprisingly, Ji Zhiye wrote to Wei Qin. If Wei Qin also wrote back to her, the two would successfully pair up for a romantic getaway.
With hopeful anticipation, Ji Zhiye waited for Wei Qin’s response.
Over the past few days, Wei Qin’s attitude toward her had noticeably improved, which made the Alpha overjoyed. She even messaged Xiao Liangmu excitedly:
“Qin Qin is being really gentle with me lately!”
“Do you think she might like me?”
Xiao Liangmu crushed her delusion immediately:
“You’re an idiot. That Omega talks like she’s better than everyone, no matter who she’s speaking to. What you think is her being gentle might just be her normal tone.”
“Lies!”
Ji Zhiye frowned, but deep down she remained convinced: Wei Qin must like her.
Even if she didn’t—well, she was at least being nice to her. That was progress.
It was finally Ji Zhiye’s turn to collect her letter from the mailbox on the love villa balcony.
She stepped outside and saw Yan Run and Yu Wenxi standing nearby with expressionless faces.
Every time the singles wrote their letters, the two established couples took turns supervising.
Watching Yan Run and Yu Wenxi standing there, Ji Zhiye had to admit—they looked oddly well-matched.
Ever since that drunken night, Ji Zhiye had stopped caring whether Yan Run liked Yu Wenxi. Now, her heart was set on Wei Qin alone.
“Good luck,” Yan Run said warmly.
Ji Zhiye smiled. “Thanks.”
She opened her mailbox, heart pounding. Inside, she found not one—but two letters. Her face flushed with excitement; she nearly screamed.
Two letters? From whom?
She didn’t check the names. Instead, she quickly stuffed them into her coat and dashed off without looking back.
Yu Wenxi watched her sprint away, abandoning all grace, and remarked, “Isn’t she from an elite family? Why does she act so uncouth? She even has that cold, high-and-mighty look about her.”
Yan Run replied calmly, “Maybe she just acts goofy in front of someone she likes.”
Yu Wenxi chuckled. “Oh? Is that how you act?”
Yan Run almost answered with a “me,” but after some thought, she realized—she didn’t have someone she liked. She glanced at Yu Wenxi. Even if she did… it wouldn’t be allowed, would it?

Ji Zhiye rushed back to her room and laid both envelopes on the desk.
The first was from Han Shu.
Her heart dropped.
It wasn’t Wei Qin!
What did she need Han Shu for?!
She opened Han Shu’s letter. It was obviously a formality; after all, Han Shu couldn’t exactly write to Yan Run.
Han Shu had written:
“I would love to travel with you. I hope we encounter some interesting things along the way.”
Ji Zhiye rolled her eyes in boredom and tossed it aside.
Time to open the second one.
It had to be Wei Qin. It must be. It was her—it had to be!!
She opened the letter with trembling hands.
Inside, it read:
“Looking forward to our first trip together. Please take care of me~”
— Wei Qin
Ji Zhiye stared blankly.
It was her.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
The proud young heiress exploded into squeals and wild dancing.
[HAHAHAHA poor Han Shu got sidelined instantly]
[This contrast is killing me—Ji Zhiye couldn’t care less about Han Shu, but when it’s Wei Qin? She’s ready to do a tap dance.]
[Am I the only one kinda shipping them now??]
[Check out their CP hashtag on Weibo: #SuccessorWifeCP]
[LMAO who came up with that name?!]
[Loyal wolfdog x tsundere actress—I’m living!]

After the singles collected their letters, it was time for the two couples to write their own.
Yan Run and Yu Wenxi sat across from each other at a stone table in the courtyard.
Yan Run shielded her letter carefully. “No peeking.”
Yu Wenxi chuckled, “I’ll end up reading it anyway.”
“It’s about the ceremony,” Yan Run replied coolly.
Yu Wenxi gave a soft hum and then blocked her own writing from view as well.
On the other side, Xu Zhaozhao and Yu Chen were visibly tense—seemingly having argued again that morning. They finished their letters quickly and went off to nap.
Yan Run carefully sealed her letter and slipped it to Yu Wenxi before tiptoeing away.
When Yu Wenxi opened it, Yan Run was already gone.
Smiling faintly, Yu Wenxi read the note:
“Did you like the loquats? If the tree at home bears fruit again, I’ll pick some for you. And… I hope we keep playing golf. I want to teach you more. I want to see all the different ways you smile. And… I hope you end up with someone you love.”
Yu Wenxi blinked. Her eyes shimmered slightly.
She let out a soft sigh.
[Why did she sigh?? What did Second Dog write?!]

In the bedroom, Yan Run opened her own letter in the bathroom, heart pounding. She was unusually nervous—what was wrong with her?
Yu Wenxi had written:
“Stop sleeping on the couch. I don’t mind you sharing the bed.”
Yan Run was so startled she dropped the letter on the floor.
What was that supposed to mean?!
Was she being pitied?!
But… this was pretty forward, wasn’t it?
Yan Run took several deep breaths. She could only interpret it as sympathy. But if Ah Yue found out, wouldn’t she be heartbroken?
Unless… Yu Wenxi never planned to be with Ah Yue in the first place.
The thought made her heart jolt.

When Yu Wenxi entered the room, Yan Run had already showered and was curled up on the sofa reading.
“What are you reading?” Yu Wenxi asked, smiling.
“Nothing much,” Yan Run mumbled. “Just… your letter was kinda weird.”
Yu Wenxi raised a brow. “Problem with it?”
“Nope.”
She debated asking about Ah Yue’s mission, but deep down knew Yu Wenxi wouldn’t answer anyway.
“You peeked at my letter, didn’t you?”
“Of course I did. How could I not?”
For some reason, that gave Yan Run a sense of relief. She felt bad for Ah Yue, but also a bit lucky. Still… Yu Wenxi didn’t like her, and she may have toyed with Ah Yue before. Maybe she was doing it again.
Ridiculous thoughts—Yan Run quickly shut them down.

The sound of water from the shower filled the air. Yan Run, who had almost drifted to sleep, felt her emotions flare again. Her chest tickled—like it was being nibbled by ants.
She thought… if Ah Yue was in pain, wasn’t it because of Yu Wenxi? If Yu Wenxi had insisted on being with Ah Yue and refused the arranged marriage, maybe she never would’ve ended up here.
And Yu Wenxi already had someone she liked.
Yan Run slapped her own cheek.
Yan Run, you’re so selfish. Your mind flips every five seconds.
And if that were the case, wouldn’t everyone be pushing them to have a kid already?
Yu Wenxi finally emerged from the bathroom.
She wore a strapless white robe that clung tightly around her chest. Her fair, slender limbs were exposed.
Yan Run flinched. When Yu Wenxi bent down, her curves were on full display. Blushing furiously, Yan Run stammered:
“Wh—why aren’t you wearing pajamas?”
“They got wet. What are you looking at?”
“I—I wasn’t looking!”
“If you weren’t, how’d you know I’m not wearing pajamas?”
Yan Run dared not look again. But when she did, Yu Wenxi happened to be bending down to fix the quilt—her shapely rear pointed in her direction.
It swayed as she moved, up and down with each step. Someone gulped audibly.
Yan Run spun around to face the wall.
Was she jealous of Ah Yue? Of herself? Or maybe even of Yu Wenxi? There weren’t many Omegas like her—with such a figure, only Wei Qin could compare.
Damn, Ah Yue… you’ve got guts.
Technically, Yu Wenxi was her wife. Not a romantic one, but still legally bound.
As an Alpha, falling for an Omega in public wasn’t exactly appropriate.
But Yan Run had plausible deniability. She was the clueless party. If anything, she was the victim here. So if she told Ah Yue to scram, no one could blame her.
Still, she felt guilty about even thinking that way.
She glanced at Yu Wenxi, now lying in bed scrolling through her phone—completely unaware she was being watched by a pervy Alpha.
Yan Run pursed her lips. Unless she confirmed Yu Wenxi’s feelings for Ah Yue were truly gone, the two of them had no business acting all couple-y.

The Next Morning
Yan Run got up early and began packing for their trip to Lan City with Yu Wenxi.
She wanted to present the perfect image of a responsible Alpha wife—not just for the audience, the production team, or the elderly viewers, but for Ah Yue too. She wanted her to know: I treat Yu Wenxi well. Don’t worry.
Yu Wenxi woke up naturally and noticed two extra suitcases in the room.
Yan Run was already packing.
“I’ve packed all the essentials,” Yan Run said. “Just bring your clothes. I’ve handled the rest.”
Heading downstairs first, Yan Run spotted Xu Zhaozhao moping in the living room.
“Morning,” she greeted instinctively.
Xu Zhaozhao perked up at the sight of her—but hesitated due to the cameras.
Yan Run noticed and motioned for her to talk privately in the kitchen.
But suddenly, Xu Zhaozhao lunged at her in tears.
“I can’t take it anymore, sob sob sob—”
[OMG what is Zhaozhao doing?!]
[He better not be hugging someone else’s wife!!]
[Seriously, I think Han Shu and Xu Zhaozhao are both into Second Dog. Must be the money.]
[Or maybe… just maybe… Second Dog is genuinely charming? Married and still irresistible.]
[LMAO okay but seriously, hands off!]
[Have y’all heard the rumor? Xu Zhaozhao and Yu Chen broke up before the show. They joined for the money.]
[Wait WHAT?! So all their sweet moments were FAKE?]
The next second, Yan Run pushed him off immediately.
Viewers flooded the comments praising her moral integrity.
“I understand you’re upset,” Yan Run said. “You can talk to Yu Chen or the director. Or to me. But please remember—I’m Yu Wenxi’s wife. I ask that you keep some distance. I’m sorry to say this, but I must.”
Xu Zhaozhao, used to being comforted by male friends or boyfriends, froze awkwardly. “S-sorry.”
“You haven’t had breakfast, right?” Yan Run continued. “I made some for jiejie, so I’ll make you a portion too. No need to thank me. It’s what roommates should do.”
She sighed and went into the kitchen.
Xu Zhaozhao watched her walk away, feeling a strange warmth despite his loneliness.
How could another Alpha be this thoughtful, this kind?
[AHHHH Second Dog called Yu Wenxi jiejie again!!]
[That’s WAY cuter than “baobao” omg I’m obsessed]
[Keep going!! I ship them so hard!]
[Same. No way she’s going on a date with any other Omega. Look how clear her boundaries are with Han Shu and Xu Zhaozhao.]
[This is definitely not scripted. Second Dog is too real.]
Unbeknownst to them, Yu Wenxi had just come downstairs—and saw the whole thing.
The corners of her lips lifted slightly, her eyes glowing.
