- After Teasing the Crazy Mermaid, He Actually Deceived Me into Marriage
- Chapter 91 - If He Cannot Be Tamed
The sound of cruise ships departing echoed around Hai Yuan.
It was He Chenzhou who had ordered all vessels to withdraw.
Si Tang instinctively wondered why He Chenzhou treated her so differently his gaze, it actually resembled the one from her dream.
She couldn’t stop thinking about those dark, profound eyes in her dream, with fragmented traces of hidden tenderness in their depths, making her want to cling to them.
“Thinking about him?” A sudden pain at her chin interrupted Si Tang’s reverie.
She had almost forgotten the merman before her possessed an absurdly strong sense of possessiveness.
Fan Yi had caught a glimpse of her dream through her thoughts.
His eyes darkened, unable to suppress the inherent flaws in his nature any longer. The startling possessiveness in his gaze was now fully exposed.
In an instant, his eyes reverted to a deep, mysterious blue. He pulled Si Tang tightly into his embrace, pinning her against the wall in one swift motion.
His palm clamped firmly around her wrists, his eyes burning with jealousy as they bore into hers, as if he had caught an unfaithful wife.
Si Tang felt a familiar suffocation, her brows furrowing instinctively as she twisted her wrists, trying to escape the oppressive hold.
Seeing her remain silent and offer no explanation, Fan Yi grew even more furious.
So, he should have hidden Si Tang away at sea, in a place no one could ever find.
“You are not allowed to see him again,” he declared coldly, his tone leaving no room for doubt a dictator’s decree.
Hearing this, Si Tang grew angry. Her eyes reddened with stubborn defiance as she lifted her head to stare directly at him.
“Are you really going to be like this?”
Fan Yi wasn’t mistaken in her eyes, he saw unyielding resistance. He swallowed hard, suppressing the violence rising within him.
How could she be like this? Clearly, she was the one at fault. She was the one who wouldn’t explain, the one who attracted attention. And yet, she manipulated him like this, taking advantage of his love for her.
Resentment swelled in Fan Yi’s heart.
But the laws of human romance had taught him that most human females do not favor men with strong controlling tendencies.
Si Tang was no exception. So, Si Tang would never like a man like him.
The more Fan Yi thought about it, the more upset and frustrated he became. The frantic possessiveness and extreme thoughts in his heart were forcibly suppressed in an instant. His brows furrowed, and his shimmering blue eyes suddenly grew moist, making him look even more aggrieved than her.
Si Tang:
Sometimes, she really wished she could read minds like Fan Yi. Otherwise, with his rapid mood swings, even a deity couldn’t decipher the logic behind them.
Despite his apparent grievance, the grip on her wrists didn’t loosen in the slightest, completely trapping and enveloping her.
“Wife, don’t see him again,” he murmured, pressing close and nuzzling against her ear, his cool breath brushing her earlobe. For some reason, Si Tang no longer felt the warmth she once had.
To achieve his goal, he had changed his approach, even resorting to humility.
“Xing Nian has a collaboration with the He Corporation,” Si Tang said, lowering her gaze. “I didn’t seek him out, and I won’t in the future. Unless it’s for business matters.”
In Si Tang’s eyes, this was a compromise from both sides.
But Fan Yi narrowed his eyes, clearly dissatisfied with her explanation.
He lifted his head from the crook of her neck. Being so much taller, he looked down at her with a familiar air of superiority.
She suddenly saw it clearly the icy frost in his eyes, his faint displeasure at her defiance, and the pathological desire to confine her to his world alone.
It was the shadow of the man from three years ago.
Si Tang pressed her lips together and suddenly spoke coldly, “Fan Yi, are you saying that from now on, you won’t allow me to have normal interactions with any men?”
Upon hearing this, Fan Yi’s eyes darkened slightly, and he suddenly curled his lips into a faint smile. He stared at her for a long moment before speaking calmly.
“Everything should be fair. There is no one by my side, so you can’t have anyone either, Tangtang.”
“I’ve already compromised by only asking you to stop interacting with human males. Why is that not acceptable?”
A trace of obsessive madness gradually surfaced in his eyes, and his tone, though calm, was not a discussion but a final decree.
Si Tang suddenly felt that the three nights on the cruise ship had become a complete joke.
So what if there had been tenderness and affection?
No wonder people always say that the honeymoon phase and the adjustment period are two entirely different things.
But her honeymoon phase had only lasted three days before the two of them returned to square one. The only thing that had changed was the contract now binding them together.
“Fan Yi, you’re being unreasonable,” she said, her voice tinged with disappointment and loss.
“I actually thought you had changed.”
With those softly spoken words, Si Tang abruptly tried to pull her tightly gripped wrist away, desperately struggling to escape his restraining grasp.
Fan Yi didn’t let go until he saw the pain flash across Si Tang’s face, then released his grip as if pricked by a needle.
In the next moment, Si Tang, like a bird set free, slipped out of his embrace and headed straight upstairs.
The conversation had collapsed.
Fan Yi was like a beautiful but venomous jellyfish untouchable. If she couldn’t tame him, she would be devoured, trapped in an eternal cage.
Si Tang quickened her steps, trying to escape the suffocating atmosphere behind her.
But the next second, she was suddenly lifted into the air as Fan Yi caught up effortlessly, hoisting her over his shoulder and giving her buttocks a light slap.
His voice was low and gentle, yet laced with a cold possessiveness.
“Tangtang, you’re not being obedient.”
A flicker of mockery crossed Si Tang’s heart.
Fan Yi kicked open the door to his bedroom and pressed Si Tang down onto the bed.
In the lightless night, dusk enveloped everything, and a stifling coldness swirled and froze around them.
His body completely covered hers, his snow-white hair softly cascading down. His deep, shadowed eyes burned with a feverish intensity, cold anger mingling with a sticky, web-like desire that sought to entangle her tightly, leaving no room for escape.
Si Tang realized what he intended to do. Her heart raced with fear, and she frantically tried to turn over and crawl away.
Was he joking? He was furious she could easily lose half her life if she stayed!
Her outstretched arm was abruptly pinned to the bed. His jade-like, pale hand showed faintly bulging veins as he slowly released his grip. An invisible shackle held Si Tang’s wrists in place, leaving her to watch in panic as his cool fingertips traced the lines of her skin, moving from her wrist to the back of her hand.
Then, he forcefully interlaced his fingers with hers, pressing their joined hands against the bed.
An indescribable sensuality filled the air.
Just like his domineering nature, he demanded her forceful bloom.
Si Tang cursed him angrily, but he remained silent, only tightening his grip on her waist and burying his head against her neck. His ragged breaths sent shivers down her spine.
Sharp teeth suddenly nipped at the nape of her neck, and for a moment, Si Tang’s gaze grew distant and unfocused.
It was both painful and indescribable.
Her limbs grew weak, her head spun, and with no support for her body, she could only rely on his grip around her waist to hold her up.
By the end, Si Tang trembled and went limp, yet the weight on her back remained.
He held her tightly in his arms, paused for a moment, and then continued.
His voice was hoarse, tinged with a faint madness.
“Wife look, out at sea, it was just the two of us, no one else. Weren’t we happy?”
“But the moment we returned, things between us became like this.”
“So I should just hide you away, is that it?”
Si Tang bit her lip, unable to answer him properly her voice already breaking with emotion the moment she spoke.
She knew he could hear her thoughts, so she simply cursed him wildly in her heart.
Madman.
