- Chapter 84 - Physiological Attraction
“Love-struck fool?” Fan Yi repeated in confusion.
He immediately searched for the term in the modern human world’s dictionary.
Then, he actually pondered it seriously and nodded with an air of conviction, admitting to himself, “That’s right, I am a love-struck fool.”
Si Tang: “…”
She lowered her head, resting her forehead in her hand, wanting to laugh.
But,
“Didn’t you just say you wouldn’t read my thoughts?”
“You were complaining too loudly.”
“…”
Si Tang fell silent, quietly eating her meal. Fan Yi remained well-behaved during this time, only occasionally stroking her hair or kissing her cheek, as if holding a cherished toy. After the meal, before Si Tang could move, he took a napkin and wiped the corners of her mouth. Si Tang looked at him, his eyes filled with her reflection.
Si Tang blinked and held out her hand, asking for his phone.
“Give me the phone.”
He smiled, scooped Si Tang up in one swift motion, and carried her upstairs to the room in a childlike embrace, lazily saying,
“Call me ‘husband.'”
This fish, is he never going to stop?
Si Tang closed her eyes in frustration, unable to resist tugging at his hair. It didn’t come out he didn’t shed a single strand.
As for Fan Yi, he smiled indulgently. His captivating blue eyes curved, and he couldn’t resist pecking the corner of Si Tang’s lips.
But, seeing the bedroom door drawing closer, Si Tang grew nervous.
He wouldn’t be thinking of,
Si Tang immediately halted her train of thought, as this fish could hear what she was thinking.
Once inside the room, Fan Yi carried her straight toward the bathroom.
Si Tang’s heart sank with unease. Panicked, she patted his shoulder. “What are you doing?”
“Taking a bath,” he replied calmly.
“Put me down, I’ll wash myself!”
Surprisingly, he stopped in his tracks, turned his head, and looked at her with a smile. His voice was low, carrying a coaxing tone.
“Call me ‘husband.'”
He repeated his earlier request.
Si Tang bit her lip, feeling embarrassed.
“Won’t call?” He raised an eyebrow, pushed open the bathroom door, and carried her inside.
He set her down in the bathtub and made a move to undress her.
Si Tang let out a startled cry, grabbing his wandering hands, and surrendered, “Husband, husband, please go out, I’ll wash myself!”
Fan Yi smiled triumphantly.
Under the dim light, his peach-blossom eyes curved like crescent moons, the corners lifting in an irresistibly alluring way.
Si Tang stared at him pleadingly, wanting him to let go and leave.
Under her expectant gaze, Fan Yi didn’t withdraw his hands. Instead, he casually hooked her shoulder strap. He smiled at her as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
“Be good, take a bath with your husband.”
Then, amid Si Tang’s flustered and angry protests, he unhesitatingly stripped off her nightgown.
And his movements were so skillful, as if it weren’t his first time doing something like this!
Si Tang was on the verge of tears.
In her twenty-one years, she had never met someone like this so wicked, so shameless. He was practically on par with a tyrant or a bandit!
The sound of running water filled the room as warm streams gradually enveloped Si Tang’s body.
She couldn’t help but sob, her nose turning red, her almond-shaped eyes misty with tears as she accused him, “You’re truly despicable.”
Fan Yi laughed recklessly and arrogantly, his silver long hair cascading like silk over his chest. He stared at Si Tang like a predator eyeing its prey, then began unbuttoning his own pajamas.
Si Tang glared at him warily once more, her arms crossed defensively as she shrank back, her voice trembling. “Wh-what else do you want?”
“How can we bathe together without taking off our clothes, my dear?” he said matter-of-factly.
“…”
“My dear, I’ve noticed that loving human couples do it this way,” he shamelessly explained.
He seemed to be deliberately flaunting himself in front of her, undoing his clothes with slow, deliberate movements. Si Tang found her eyes involuntarily glued to him, following his actions as the hollow of his collarbone, his lean waist, and his abdominal muscles gradually revealed themselves. The latent power in his physique was simply breathtaking.
Si Tang swallowed hard.
She never imagined that one day, someone’s body would hold such a strong allure for her.
This physical attraction felt like an addiction.
But just as he undid his sleep pants, she snapped back to reality, quickly turning her head and closing her eyes.
“Don’t come any closer!”
A low chuckle seemed to echo in her ears, Fan Yi’s voice.
The sound of splashing water followed as he stepped into the bathtub. Under the dim light, surrounded by rising steam, Fan Yi gently stroked her face.
“I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time,” he murmured, his eyes darkening, his voice suddenly fading to a whisper.
With a slight tug, she tumbled into his embrace. Si Tang’s hands pressed against his chest.
But Fan Yi’s gaze suddenly dropped to the area below her collarbone, growing increasingly dark and dangerous.
Si Tang:
Her face instantly flushed crimson, and she reflexively raised her hand to cover his intense, deep-set eyes.
“I can still see like this,” Fan Yi reminded her with a smirk.
“Pervert,” she scolded.
Furious, Si Tang lowered her head and bit his neck. The taste of his uniquely fragrant blood washed over her senses, and she couldn’t resist licking it.
Unaware that Fan Yi’s body had suddenly stiffened, then began to tremble slightly.
“You, you.” Si Tang sensed something was off and looked up at him in disbelief.
He let out a soft sigh, suddenly grasping the hand she had placed over his eyes.
“Today, is the day we became mates,” he whispered, gently wiping the blood from the corner of her lips. His gaze fixed on her alluring mouth, his eyes burning with an indescribable intensity, thick with implication. “In human terms. tonight is our wedding night.”
Si Tang stared at him in panic. He, he, he. what did he want to.
“My dear, I want to mate with you.” he stated without a hint of shame.
Si Tang immediately covered his mouth, her face so red it seemed about to bleed.
In her twenty-one years, she had never imagined encountering someone like him, someone who shattered all her composure.
“You don’t want to?” He pulled her hand away and asked softly, his gaze clinging to her with obsessive fascination. The aura around him suddenly turned dangerous and unpredictable, as though her consent was irrelevant.
Whether she was willing or not was one thing.
Truthfully, Si Tang was still a bit afraid.
Fan Yi saw through her thoughts and, for once, fell silent for a few seconds.
He suddenly took a deep breath, burying his head helplessly in the crook of her neck, explaining as if for her own good.
“If we don’t do it now, when my mating season arrives, I’m afraid you won’t be able to handle it.”
Si Tang: “…”
Her mind felt as if struck by a thunderbolt, thrown into complete chaos. How could she have forgotten about his mating season.
Si Tang froze for a few seconds, her brain short-circuiting, her entire face rapidly heating up.
“I.” She swallowed hard, momentarily too embarrassed and flustered to speak.
“Tangtang my wife.” He continued to murmur in her ear, his voice soft and gentle, utterly non-threatening. His eyes held a pleading, courtship-like gaze as he coaxed her, “You’ve already bonded with me. Your body is different from other humans now it can handle this.”
Si Tang wanted to cover her ears! Would he just shut up already!
