- Chapter 83 - Calling Her Baby
Si Tang couldn’t help but curse the shameless dead fish ten thousand times in her heart.
Yet, as if he knew exactly what she was thinking, his arm tightened around her waist, and he let out a low chuckle.
“Tangtang, would you really hit me with a bowl?”
Si Tang: “?!”
She turned her head to look at him with an expression of utter disbelief.
Her eyes met his perfectly sculpted jawline, his crimson lips curved upward, and his deep blue eyes sparkling like stars, brimming with possessiveness and the sheer delight of having her completely under his control.
“You, can you read minds?” That’s impossible!
Back on the island, he hadn’t been able to tell what she was thinking. The only explanation was that damned mating bond contract.
Si Tang felt utterly defeated.
He leaned in, gently kissing the corner of her lips, not denying it, and said in a coaxing tone, “If you don’t like it, I won’t read your thoughts anymore.”
Si Tang furrowed her brows, staring at him skeptically.
She seemed to doubt whether he would keep his word.
After all, he had too many “criminal records” and was completely untrustworthy.
“Why can’t I read your thoughts?” Si Tang couldn’t help but protest, feeling it was utterly unfair.
Fan Yi pondered for a moment. “Hmm, probably because you’re not a god.”
Si Tang: Frustrated.
She turned her head back, trying to snatch the spoon from his hand, and snorted coldly, “You already kissed me just now.”
“How does that count? I want you to kiss me.” He moved the spoon away, preventing her from taking it.
“Fan Yi!” Si Tang had had enough and elbowed him backward.
He seemed unfazed, shamelessly wrapping himself around her from behind. He placed the spoon back into the bowl but leaned his face close to her neck from behind, tilting her chin with his hand. His beautifully curved lips were now just an inch away from hers, his deep blue eyes locking onto hers as if waiting for her to close the distance.
Si Tang’s face flushed red. She couldn’t withstand such a close-up assault of his devastatingly handsome face. Her hands instinctively pressed against his chest.
He watched the conflict and hesitation in her eyes, his peach-blossom eyes pulling her in like a vortex, almost as if he were using his beauty as a weapon. “Tangtang.”
Si Tang’s breathing quickened, her ears gradually turning red. This fish in front of her was nothing short of a seductive demon.
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and quickly pecked the corner of his lips.
“Is that enough?” she asked nervously, opening her eyes but avoiding his gaze.
This was truly unbearable. No one could resist the temptation of that face.
Fan Yi couldn’t help but chuckle, reaching out to gently stroke her hair. “Not enough.”
Si Tang was about to argue that he was being unreasonable and dishonest.
“Not enough? You, Mmm!”
His kiss descended upon her once again, but this time it was nothing like the brief touch from before. It was a possessive, devouring kiss, full of fervor, as if he wanted to consume her entirely.
Si Tang was left breathless by his kiss, the familiar entanglement bringing back memories of their days and nights in the cave.
She half-closed her eyes, quietly gazing at his stunningly beautiful face.
A faint blush spread across his jade-white skin, his snow-white eyelashes drooping, concealing the darkness in his eyes, their tips trembling slightly. Aside from his inexplicably skilled kissing technique, he looked innocent.
An inexplicable, strange feeling stirred within Si Tang’s heart.
Suddenly, she vaguely recalled the scars on his fishtail.
She remembered his disappearance three years ago, the dull cracks on the scale he had given her.
She remembered how he had been imprisoned in the Atlantic, yet he had still managed to come find her. What price had he paid for it?
Recalling how he had secretly helped her if it wasn’t out of affection, why would someone of his temperament lower himself to pretend to be a mild-mannered human?
Remembering how he had disregarded all reason, coaxing and deceiving her into becoming his partner.
Si Tang suddenly felt a tightness in her chest. All the past details began replaying in her mind. After the initial fury of being deceived, she gradually began to taste a hint of bitterness.
It seemed, she really couldn’t bring herself to hate him completely.
Her hands slowly moved from his chest and wrapped around his neck.
A cool, silky sensation brushed her fingertips it was his hair, and it truly felt wonderful to touch.
Sensing her sudden response, Fan Yi’s eyelashes trembled even more intensely. Unable to resist, he lifted Si Tang’s slender figure, stood up, and pressed her against the edge of the dining table. To prevent her from getting hurt, he cushioned her back with his arm.
Si Tang had no choice but to part her legs and wrap them around his waist.
Their breaths intertwined, lingering and unyielding.
When Si Tang realized something was amiss, her entire face heated up instantly.
He held her tightly, their bodies almost melded together.
“Fan Yi.” Si Tang’s lips parted, her voice trembling as she dared not move.
Fan Yi’s gaze involuntarily fell upon her lightly pursed lips, his eyes already dark and intense. In the next moment, his gaze drifted downward as if of its own accord, settling on the pale expanse of her collarbone. Her slip nightgown did little to conceal the allure beneath one strap had slipped off her shoulder, revealing fair skin tinged with a delicate blush, utterly enticing.
In the quiet of the cruise ship, only the sound of their soft panting could be heard.
Si Tang seemed to notice his suddenly scorching gaze. She glanced sideways and gasped, her breath catching in her throat.
That look, filled with predatory desire, was like that of a beast.
“What are you looking at?!” Si Tang instinctively covered herself with her hands.
Fan Yi cleared his throat lightly and couldn’t help but remark, “I’ve seen it all before. But, it has grown quite a bit compared to three years ago.”
As he spoke, he seemed lost in thought, as if reminiscing.
Hearing this, Si Tang’s eyebrow twitched uncontrollably. She couldn’t resist kicking him lightly.
She knew it! This shameless, wicked fish!
“I’m hungry!” Si Tang began ordering him around, pushing him slightly.
Hearing this, Fan Yi didn’t press further. He carried Si Tang back and sat her down on the chair again.
Si Tang was indeed hungry. Sitting on Fan Yi’s lap, she picked up her chopsticks and began to eat, unaccustomed to using a spoon.
As for Fan Yi, he held her soft waist, his heart swaying with emotion. From time to time, he rested his chin on her shoulder, nuzzling her, or kissed her fair neck.
Before long, his mind began to wander again.
He was thinking, what should they do after the meal?
The more he thought, the stranger, more obsessive, and more dazed his gaze toward Si Tang became.
His eyes flickered, and he suddenly leaned close to Si Tang, who was still eating, and whispered tenderly, “Baby.”
Hearing this unexpected endearment, Si Tang nearly choked on her food.
She forced herself to swallow, almost gagging.
“Are you insane?!” she couldn’t help but snap.
What nonsense was this mad fish spouting now?
She had been eating peacefully, and he had to startle her like a ghost, calling her “baby”?
He feigned distress and seriousness. “Don’t human couples in love call each other that?”
Si Tang: “…”
“Then I’ll call you ‘wife’ instead,” Fan Yi thought for a moment and began nodding to himself. “After all, in the human world, we’re married. We’re husband and wife. You should call me ‘husband.’ Yes, that’s right.”
Si Tang couldn’t help but twitch the corner of her mouth, as if suddenly finding it quite amusing.
He really, really has such a lovesick brain.
Si Tang silently thought to herself.
