- Chapter 63 - I Really Like You
“You useless old thing, just drop dead already!”
Only 8856 knew what was really going on, transmitting his thoughts to Fan Yi, “Lord Fan Yi, you’re.”
Fan Yi snorted coldly, “Just tell me if it’ll work or not.”
“Well. it might work.”
Fan Yi, “I can’t stand watching this idiot drag things out.”
8856: Lord Fan Yi seems to have picked up some inappropriate swear words while in the human world.
In the original fate line, Si Chenfeng had also made excuses and delayed for several months before finally signing the share transfer contract.
Both 8856 and Fan Yi knew that the two people before them were merely minor characters and stepping stones in the fate line.
Having obtained the contract as desired, Si Tang didn’t linger any longer. After casting one last glance at the still-disbelieving Si Chenfeng without leaving any parting words, she turned and left.
Sea Garden, late at night.
After working on some new design drafts in the study for a while, Si Tang prepared to take a bath.
But just as she was halfway through washing her hair, all the lights in the villa suddenly went out.
Startled, Si Tang didn’t know if it was a power outage or a tripped circuit breaker. She quickly dried herself off roughly, put on her pajamas, wrapped herself in a bathrobe, and opened the door.
“Fan Yi? Xiao Liu?” Si Tang called out into the pitch-black living room.
Getting no response, Si Tang slowly descended the stairs and entered the living room, where she noticed someone sitting on the sofa.
The figure had its back to her, and the silhouette resembled Fan Yi’s. Si Tang called out softly, “Fan Yi, did the circuit breaker trip?”
“Power outage.” The motionless figure finally responded in a low voice. Recognizing Fan Yi’s voice, Si Tang relaxed but noticed Xiao Liu was nowhere to be seen.
Just then, she saw him slowly turn his face toward her. Bathed in the “coincidental” moonlight, his dark eyes reflected the shimmering lunar glow, while his silver-gray curled eyelashes looked as if dusted with snow. Wrapped in a bathrobe, his messy, damp hair hung quietly, making him appear like a deity who had suddenly descended so serene that one couldn’t bear to disturb the moment.
Si Tang froze, her gaze uncontrollably drawn to his eyes. Then, his slender fingers lifted and lightly brushed over his bathrobe. Her eyes instinctively followed where his hand had touched.
A glistening drop of water happened to fall from the center of his collarbone.
Si Tang’s breath hitched.
Fan Yi maintained his pose nonchalantly while secretly observing Si Tang’s expression and where her gaze lingered.
He recalled the earnest words 8856 had said to him earlier that day.
“Believe me, Lord Fan Yi, you need to be aware of your own good looks. Seduction will definitely work.”
“Take my advice it’s better than all those books you’ve read.”
Indeed. it seemed to be somewhat effective?
At the very least. Tangtang really liked his face.
Thinking of this, Fan Yi subconsciously lifted his chin slightly, allowing Si Tang to admire him in the moonlight.
“Fan Yi, where’s Xiao Liu?” Si Tang asked, blushing as she averted her gaze, surprised that she had been staring at him like a lovesick fool.
“I just sent him to pay the electricity bill,” Fan Yi replied, having already prepared an excuse in advance. “He’s been too busy this month and forgot to pay it.”
Si Tang nodded in understanding and sat down on a nearby sofa, waiting for the power to come back on.
Five minutes later, the villa was once again brightly lit.
Under the bright, daylight-like lighting, Si Tang could see even more clearly: Fan Yi was lazily sunk into the sofa, the belt of his bathrobe loosely tied, the collar slipping open just enough. Unwiped droplets of water traced the hollow of his collarbone, and the hem of his robe revealed sharply defined lines of his Adonis belt, exuding an aura of cold, restrained sensuality.
There was even a hint of sharp, alluring charm that didn’t match his usual gentle and reserved demeanor.
It was as if. he were a seductive spirit that fed on human essence.
Si Tang unconsciously swallowed, her gaze shifting away nervously as she said with a hint of fluster, “Then. I’ll head upstairs first. Fan Yi, good night.”
Without waiting for his reply, she hurried upstairs.
When she closed her door, she felt her entire face burning.
With her reaction just now. would Fan Yi think she was some kind of lovesick fool?
Night fell. Si Tang sank into a deep slumber.
The locked room door was silently pulled open, and moonlight seeped in like a silver tide, dividing the shadows into light and dark. A pair of narrow, glowing blue eyes, filled with boundless desire, watched from the darkness, enveloping Si Tang like a spider’s web.
Fan Yi walked to the bedside, his gaze carrying his dark intentions as he greedily traced every inch of the girl’s face.
She seemed to be lost in a dream, her lips parting slightly as she gasped restlessly, as if struggling to escape something. Yet her face was flushed like peach blossoms, exuding a rich, intoxicating fragrance.
It made his chest tremble.
Unable to restrain himself any longer, he reached out and brushed his cool fingertips through her hair and across her lips, leaving his scent behind.
Then he lowered his head, first kissing the faint mole on the tip of her nose delicate and adorable, like a speck of glaze on white porcelain and couldn’t resist giving it a gentle lick.
His kisses trailed downward along the play of light and shadow, finally landing on the lips he had long yearned for.
He had wanted to do this ever since she mentioned He Chenzhou’s name during the day.
For some reason, though he didn’t know the man, he felt a familiar sense of vigilance. As if, a thousand years ago, they had known each other and as adversaries.
Fan Yi retracted his sharp fangs completely, taking advantage of her unguarded, panting lips to deepen the kiss.
After a long while, he slowly buried his face against her neck, wrapping his arms around her as he breathed in her soft, fragrant scent.
“I like you.” he murmured softly, his voice tender. “I like you so much.”
The clear, cold moonlight shone upon their intertwined figures, a secret known only to the night.
In the dream, mist swirled.
Steaming, scalding vapor spread, sliding down fair collarbones and lingering over the vaguely silver-scaled waist and abdomen of the person before her.
He pressed closer, trapping her in the torment of desire.
After it subsided, she was lifted and seated on the stone edge of the hot spring pool.
Cool fingertips, carrying an unfamiliar, burning heat, traced a path along her neck before slowly gliding away.
Whose voice was it, gentle and composed, without a hint of shame?
“Don’t be afraid.”
Si Tang opened her lips, wanting to say no, but her throat felt stuffed with cotton, unable to make a sound. All that escaped were muffled, tearful whimpers, like those of a young animal.
A cold sensation wrapped around her wrist, entangled by silky, long hair.
She desperately wanted to escape this spiraling vortex of loss of control.
Suddenly, through the blurred play of light and shadow, she caught a glimpse of the person before her.
A cascade of snow-white hair, smooth as moonlit silk, spread out across the water’s surface. From this overhead perspective, one could faintly glimpse pale lashes, trembling like dew-kissed butterfly wings, veiling the expression in those blue eyes.
Then, like a sudden beam of light piercing through clouds and mist, that face abruptly seized her gaze.
