After Mistakenly Marking Her Stunning Omega Stepsister - Chapter 11
Wen Xiangzhu clutched her practice book to her chest and slowly walked out of the dormitory building.
It was nearly ten o’clock, and the darkness outside was nearly deserted. Thankfully, the streetlights and glow from dormitory windows offered some reassurance.
Under a streetlight nearby stood a thin boy. He watched Wen Xiangzhu approach and said in a hostile tone, “An Omega coming out of an Alpha dormitory. Wonder what she was doing in there?”
Hearing the words, Wen Xiangzhu paused and turned to look back. She didn’t recognize the person, so she ignored him and continued walking.
But soon, the boy caught up and blocked her path.
“I’m warning you, keep yourself in check,” he said.
Wen Xiangzhu frowned and looked up irritably. “What do you mean by that?”
“You should know exactly what I mean,” the boy scoffed. “As an Omega, why are you the only one constantly hanging around Alphas? Stop pretending you don’t have an agenda.”
“Do I even know you?” Wen Xiangzhu laughed in exasperation. “What right do you have to lecture me?”
The boy smirked coldly. “My name is Lu Rong. Now you know. I don’t care how many Alphas you hang out with, but stay away from Chen Huaxing.”
With that, Lu Rong turned and left.
Wen Xiangzhu remained frozen in place, her fingers trembling slightly as she clutched her practice book.
Being targeted by an unknown Omega felt utterly bewildering—and infuriating.

In the dormitory, Lin Sui pretended to study for a while before she couldn’t resist asking Zhu Huan, “Has she arrived yet?”
“No word yet,” Zhu Huan replied, taking a bite of chocolate. “Don’t worry.”
Lin Sui pressed her lips together, her expression growing more serious. “It shouldn’t take this long to walk from here to Building 3, right?”
“Are you worried?” Zhu Huan asked with a faint smile, her gaze lingering on Lin Sui.
Lin Sui quickly averted her eyes. “Just… out of humanitarian concern.”
“Fine, fine, fine. I’ll send her a voice message.”
Zhu Huan shook her head in exasperation, sat down next to Lin Sui, and called Wen Xiangzhu.
It took a while for the call to connect.
“Hello, have you gotten back yet?”
The background noise was loud. After a few seconds, Wen Xiangzhu’s voice came through. “I’m already back in the dorm, Sister. Don’t worry.”
“Good, but which ‘Sister’ are you talking about?” Zhu Huan nodded, unable to resist asking.
Lin Sui glared at her and turned away in silent annoyance.
There was a pause on the other end. “The one who cares about me, of course.”
“Alright, just glad you made it safely. I’ll hang up now.”
After the call ended, Zhu Huan glanced at the back of Lin Sui’s head. She slowly turned Lin Sui around, grinning mischievously. “See? She’s back safe and sound.”
Lin Sui clicked her tongue irritably. “I’m going to sleep. Stop making such a fuss.”
Lin Sui didn’t sleep well that night, and the next day her eyelids drooped during class.
The lesson passed in a haze. She heard nothing and remembered nothing. As soon as the bell rang, Yang Li called her to the office.
“I called you here about the sports meet. Here’s the registration form. Just fill it out when you have time and give it back to me before the weekend.” Yang Li adjusted her glasses.
Lin Sui took the form and nodded. “Okay.”
“Didn’t sleep well? Are you having trouble adjusting to the dorm?” Yang Li asked, concern etched on her face.
Lin Sui thought for a moment. “Maybe I’m just a light sleeper. It should get better in a few days.”
“Alright. If you don’t understand anything in class, ask Wen Xiangzhu. You two have a special relationship, after all. Your mother is very concerned about your studies and hopes you don’t fall behind.”
“Got it.”
Lin Sui walked out of the office with her head down, Yang Li’s words echoing in her mind.
She said Wen Xiangzhu and I have a special relationship…
How special could it be? It’s actually pretty ordinary.
We hardly have anything to talk about.
When she returned to the classroom, Wen Xiangzhu was standing at the front, wiping the blackboard. Her name was written in the “Classroom Monitor” section for the day.
Lin Sui glanced at her, then walked past without a word, heading back to her seat to rest.
Lin Sui had barely taken a few steps when she was called back.
“Sister Sui.”
Lin Sui paused and turned slightly to look at Wen Xiangzhu.
Wen Xiangzhu smiled, a little embarrassed. “Could you help me erase the writing up there? I can’t reach…”
Lin Sui followed her gaze to the math problem written high on the blackboard.
“Sure.”
She took the eraser from Wen Xiangzhu and easily wiped away the writing. “You should eat more. Maybe you’ll even grow taller.”
Wen Xiangzhu pursed her lips, considering the suggestion seriously. “But I can’t eat too much. I tend to forget when I’m studying. Maybe… could you remind me to eat when you’re having your meal?”
Lin Sui put down the eraser with a soft clack. She glanced around, then lowered her voice. “I told you, don’t call me ‘Sister’ at school.”
“Oh…” Wen Xiangzhu’s eyes widened, and she blinked obediently.
“As for eating…” Lin Sui paused. “How old are you?”
“Hmm?” Wen Xiangzhu looked genuinely confused.
Lin Sui averted her gaze. “Do you need someone to ask you to eat?”
Standing and talking on the podium was drawing too much attention. After speaking, Lin Sui returned directly to her seat.
Zhu Huan grinned mischievously at her. “Aiya, why are you so paranoid? It’s like you’re involved in a secret affair.”
“Go away, stop talking nonsense,” Lin Sui retorted, placing the registration form on the desk. “Keep this up, and I’ll sign you up for the long-distance race.”
Zhu Huan: “……”
Already being good, please spare me.
“Wait.” Lin Sui frowned, her gaze falling on her desk drawer, where an unopened cup of lemon tea sat alongside a card.
This will help you stay alert. Don’t forget to drink it.
“Who put this here?” Lin Sui asked suspiciously, removing the items and placing them on the desk.
Zhu Huan glanced at them and shook her head. “I don’t know. I was just out.”
Then she winked. “Could it be Wen Xiangzhu?”
Lin Sui pursed her lips, finding this possibility highly likely.
Just then, Wen Xiangzhu returned to her seat. Noticing Lin Sui and Zhu Huan staring at her, she asked, “What’s wrong?”
Lin Sui glanced at the lemon tea and card on the desk. “Did you put this here? Take it away.”
“What?” Wen Xiangzhu looked at her, bewildered.
“Stop acting.” Lin Sui took a deep breath, stood up, and placed the items on Wen Xiangzhu’s desk. “Stop with these pointless games.”
With that, she sat back down, refusing to acknowledge Wen Xiangzhu further.
Wen Xiangzhu stared at Lin Sui for a long time, then glanced at Zhu Huan, and finally sat down silently to examine the card on the table.
But… she had never bought lemon tea, and the writing on the card wasn’t hers.
The entire day, Wen Xiangzhu remained gloomy. She left the cup of lemon tea on the corner of her desk. Whenever she looked at it during class or while working on problems, she would stare into space for a while.
When school let out in the afternoon, Lin Sui couldn’t stand it anymore.
“Is it really worth it? You haven’t eaten lunch. Aren’t you hungry?”
Wen Xiangzhu blinked but didn’t look up. “I still have problems to finish. Don’t worry about me.”
Seeing this, Lin Sui felt inexplicably annoyed. “What if I refuse to ignore you? Get up and go eat. If you starve to death, my mom will hold me responsible.”
After a moment of silence, Wen Xiangzhu looked up.
“But you just said I’m an adult now. I know when to eat. I don’t need you to take me out.”
Lin Sui: “……”
She averted her gaze, her feelings tangled.
Oh, how could she have forgotten that?!
After a moment, Lin Sui compromised. “How about this? I’ll take the lemon tea, but you have to come eat with me. Deal?”
Wen Xiangzhu frowned. “I can’t give you the lemon tea… but I’ll eat with you.”
Now Lin Sui was really confused.
She hadn’t wanted to give it to her earlier, but now that she did, Wen Xiangzhu wouldn’t let her have it.
I don’t get it.
Are all Omega’s thoughts this hard to figure out?
But thankfully, Wen Xiangzhu obediently followed her out of the classroom.
“Should we go to the cafeteria or eat out?” Lin Sui asked, looking down at her phone.
Wen Xiangzhu stared at her feet, replying indifferently, “Either is fine.”
“Why isn’t Sister Zhu Huan with you?”
“She’s out to dinner with an Omega.” Lin Sui’s finger paused mid-swipe on her screen. “Do you want to eat with her?”
Wen Xiangzhu froze, then quickly shook her head. “No.”
Lin Sui let out a wry laugh and said nothing more, simply leading Wen Xiangzhu out of the school.
After a moment, the little girl couldn’t hold back any longer. She stopped and asked, “Have you been seeing any Omegas lately?”
Lin Sui looked at Wen Xiangzhu in surprise.
“Omegas?” Lin Sui suddenly chuckled. “You, of course.”
Wen Xiangzhu frowned. “What about anyone else?”
Lin Sui paused, thinking. “Well, there’s really no one else… Wait, are you making fun of me?”
“Huh?” Wen Xiangzhu looked bewildered.
Lin Sui understood. This brat was laughing at her!
It made sense. Zhu Huan was even getting invited to private dinners with Omegas, while Lin Sui had no one to dine with but this little tag-along, Wen Xiangzhu!
The more she thought about it, the angrier she got. “Forget it, I’m not hungry anymore.”
Wen Xiangzhu: “……?”
Lin Sui turned back a few steps, then quickly doubled back. “Fine, I’ll keep an eye on you while you eat, just in case you starve to death.”
Lin Sui chose a French restaurant and led Wen Xiangzhu to a table. After they sat down, she stood up and said, “Go ahead and order. I’m going to the restroom.”
“Okay.”
After Lin Sui left, six or seven boys in the same school uniform appeared at the restaurant entrance.
One of them, sharp-eyed, spotted Wen Xiangzhu and nudged Chen Huaxing. “Brother Xing, isn’t that…”
Chen Huaxing also noticed Wen Xiangzhu, his eyes darkening slightly. He walked over with a calm expression. “What a coincidence to run into you here. Are you alone?”
A hint of disgust appeared on Wen Xiangzhu’s face. “None of your business.”
Chen Huaxing clicked his tongue. “It’s my birthday today. I’m planning to book a private room and treat everyone to a meal. If you want, you can join us.”
“Yeah, join us! Brother Xing’s birthday is a rare occasion.”
“Definitely join us!”
The others chimed in, urging her to join.
Wen Xiangzhu’s fingers tightened around the menu. “No thanks. I have plans.”
“With who? That Omega friend of yours? No problem, just bring her along. The more the merrier.”
“Exactly! We don’t even have any Omegas here. It’d be great if everyone could get to know each other.”
“Where did your friend go? Bring her out to chat.”
Several people surrounded Wen Xiangzhu, chattering away.
When Lin Sui returned, she found them in this scene.
Her brow furrowed as she slowly walked behind the group, her voice icy.
“Looking for me?”
