After Marrying the Cold Omega in Secret - Chapter 50
They had not walked far so they quickly returned to the villa.
Assistant He, who had stayed behind to eat dinner, was still there. She looked surprised when she saw them arrive so soon.
“You are back already, President Chi, Madam?”
They had only said they would take a post-dinner walk. Less than ten minutes had passed. Returning so soon was unexpected.
All the way back, Chi Ye had been adjusting her hair and outfit. Even though Chu Jin reassured her multiple times that she looked fine, she still felt uneasy.
She was worried that something from their moment in the hidden path might show.
She even reapplied lipstick.
Chu Jin was taken aback. She had not expected Chi Ye to carry lipstick on a casual walk.
Could she have anticipated what would happen?
Already on edge, Chi Ye stiffened when He Xian asked that innocent question.
Her expression turned icy. “Yes.”
“Why are you still here?” she asked coldly.
Her tone was sharp and abrupt. It clearly implied, “You are still standing here and talking too much.”
He Xian had worked for Chi Ye for many years but could never fully understand her. Chi Ye’s cold demeanor often made her inscrutable.
Still, she treated her staff fairly. Those who performed well received generous rewards. If anyone needed help, she did not hesitate to assist.
That was why, in moments like this, He Xian chose silence.
When you can’t flatter your boss, at least don’t provoke her.
Chu Jin was well aware of Chi Ye’s temper.
She was not without sympathy. She was simply fiercely proud.
“She is not used to exercising,” Chu Jin teased with a playful glint, glancing at Chi Ye. “She got tired.”
Her tone was teasing. The tension eased immediately.
He Xian thanked Chu Jin mentally and added quickly, “President Chi has many work responsibilities. She rarely has time for exercise.”
“That is true,” Chu Jin agreed, smiling affectionately at Chi Ye. “My wife works really hard.”
He Xian: Why does it feel like I just got served a plate of fluff?
Maybe she should have left a moment ago.
Chi Ye recognized the teasing and shot Chu Jin a warning look.
“Enough teasing,” she said, taking Chu Jin’s hand and heading toward the elevator.
They had unfinished business that needed attention.
Chu Jin smiled and followed. Inside the elevator she sighed and whispered, “Looks like it is my turn to face a challenge tonight.”
The meaning of “challenge” was clear.
Chi Ye’s ears turned a soft shade of red.
Chu Jin noticed and leaned closer. She whispered, “Wife, where do you want to be tonight?”
Chi Ye remained silent and pressed the button for their floor.
As Chu Jin moved aside, disappointed, the elevator doors closed, cutting them off from the outside world.
Chi Ye turned suddenly and pressed Chu Jin against the elevator wall.
Chu Jin was pinned, one of her hands trapped above her head. Before she could react, Chi Ye kissed her fiercely.
The reserved facade Chi Ye had shown earlier melted completely in this embrace.
Their kiss was intense and urgent, like a storm ripping through calm.
The elevator reached their floor quickly.
Chi Ye, holding Chu Jin’s waist, led her out without breaking the kiss.
Each step they took was fueled by both restraint and desire.
Chu Jin’s steps faltered as she leaned into Chi Ye’s embrace, stumbling toward her room.
In a pause between kisses, Chu Jin unbuttoned the top three buttons of Chi Ye’s blouse and gasped, “Which room are we going to?”
Since filming ended, they had resumed sleeping in separate rooms. Sharing a bed for so long during the show had made being apart feel strange.
Especially at this moment.
Before Chi Ye could answer, Chu Jin was already pressing another kiss to her lips.
Her fingers were sure and swift, much more confident than before. She had unlocked a new boundary.
Chi Ye was taken by surprise. As Chu Jin’s mouth roamed, her breath quickened.
“My room,” she whispered, voice trembling. “I already told the housekeeper to get ready.”
Her words dissolved into moans as Chu Jin’s touch and lips continued.
The sensation was overwhelming.
Kate lifted her head but pressed gentle kisses onto Chi Ye’s skin. She asked softly, “Get ready for what?”
Her voice was warm and sultry, like a humid summer rain.
Chi Ye could barely breathe through her nose. Her lips parted and her vision blurred with desire. Eventually she whispered, “There is water in the bathtub.”
So they were going to take a bath together?
Chi Ye really knew how to set the mood.
Chu Jin slipped an arm around Chi Ye’s waist and led her into the room.
She had only been here once before, to help blow-dry Chi Ye’s hair.
As soon as the door closed, Chu Jin pressed Chi Ye against it.
Chi Ye wrapped her arms around Chu Jin’s neck. Soft longing glistened in her eyes.
Chu Jin’s gaze traced her face, down her neck, across the collarbones, and rested on the undone blouse and faint marks on her skin.
Her hand reached the remaining buttons. She asked quietly, “Shall I help you undress?”
Bathing together meant complete intimacy.
Their previous accidental moment had given Chi Ye a glimpse. Chu Jin had felt envious and wanted her own opportunity.
She had not expected it to come so soon and that Chi Ye would bring it up herself.
It was exactly what Chu Jin wanted.
But Chi Ye caught her hand and gently stopped her.
“No need,” she said softly.
Chu Jin paused, puzzled.
“The bath is for you,” Chi Ye added calmly, her eyes clear and composed once more.
Chu Jin was a little stunned.
Chi Ye curved her lips into a faint smile. Her eyes glinted with amusement as she said, “Your foot is still injured, you can’t get it wet. So I’ll wash you.”
So it was another trick.
“What did you think it was?” Chi Ye asked, raising her brow knowingly.
Chu Jin pouted in frustration, but she had no retort.
Their intimate moment earlier had made her forget about her injured foot entirely.
The wound was still healing and definitely couldn’t be exposed to water. Just like before, she would need to keep one leg propped up while bathing.
Which, naturally, meant she still needed Chi Ye’s help.
Chi Ye might always appear cool and aloof, but in truth, she was not only proud and stubborn, she could be quite cunning too.
This time, however, Chu Jin had learned her lesson. She placed her bathrobe within easy reach, ready to slip into it the moment she got out, unlike last time when she had to hobble across the room.
It was her first time in Chi Ye’s bathroom. The lights were off, but several scented candles were lit, casting a warm amber glow across the room. The flickering flames and rising steam created a dreamy, intimate atmosphere.
The room had an incredible view. The bathtub was set directly in front of a full-length window, offering a sweeping look over Guanhe Hills. Nearby trees and rocks created a tranquil backdrop, and in the distance, the city lights of Linhe twinkled below. It was the perfect blend of serenity and sophistication.
The bathwater was at the perfect temperature, with flower petals scattered across the surface, releasing a delicate fragrance.
There was even a glass of red wine already poured on the small side table.
This bath was pure luxury.
Chi Ye had gone to change into loungewear, so Chu Jin took the opportunity to undress and slip into the tub.
Thanks to her previous experience, she managed to slide in smoothly, even with one leg raised.
Soaking in the warm water, she felt her whole body relax, the tension melting from her bones.
She closed her eyes for a moment, savoring the feeling. Then she remembered the night view outside and opened them again to take it all in.
Just then, the door creaked open.
Chi Ye entered, carrying a medical kit.
She had been helping Chu Jin change her dressings these past few days and had grown quite skilled. She could even tie a butterfly knot now—not perfect, but miles ahead of the clumsy knots she used to make.
After tending to the wound, Chu Jin leaned back lazily and winked at Chi Ye, raising her glass of wine.
“Want to join me? The water feels amazing.”
She tossed in a flirtatious glance for good measure.
Chi Ye returned her look and picked up her own wine glass for a toast.
“Once your foot’s healed,” she said, her tone cool but her eyes sparkling, “we can soak together every day.”
Chu Jin sighed and set her glass down. Her tone turned soft and teasing.
“That sounds like exploitation.”
“I need compensation. Otherwise, I might go on strike.”
She was hinting at a raise.
“That’s all written in the contract,” Chi Ye replied after a pause. “You’re supposed to comply with all my requests.”
A glimmer of playfulness flickered in her usually cold eyes.
“Otherwise, I’ll deduct your living expenses.”
She swirled her wine glass with an unbothered air and added, “Just like we said before—every time you skip out, you get fined a million.”
She had said that on the very first day they registered their marriage. Back then, her “requests” were simple things like blow-drying hair—nothing close to where they were now.
Chu Jin couldn’t really argue. According to the contract, she had no right to refuse, even if Chi Ye’s punishments were unreasonable.
Still, Chu Jin, ever the money-motivated one, was not ready to give up. She quickly switched tactics.
“So what would earn me a raise in living expenses?” she asked.
Last time, she had managed to talk Chi Ye into adding two million, using the whole Qiao Man incident to her advantage.
Chi Ye thought about it for a moment before replying casually, “When I’m happy, I’ll give you more.”
That word—“happy”—was ambiguous. It could mean a lot of things.
Chu Jin blinked slowly, her tone laced with mischief. “President Chi, what kind of ‘happy’ are we talking about?”
She even smiled wickedly.
Chi Ye clearly hadn’t expected that. She narrowed her eyes and answered bluntly, “Every kind.”
Well, that made it even worse.
If she hadn’t asked, maybe pleasing her in bed would’ve been enough. But now it seemed much more complicated.
Chu Jin wisely decided not to pursue that conversation any further. If she kept pushing, Chi Ye might tack on more conditions for “happiness.”
And besides, the bath was nearly over. It was time to get out.
Chi Ye noticed and moved toward her, resting one arm against the edge of the tub beside Chu Jin.
“This time,” she asked with a subtle smile, “do you still need to close your eyes?”
