- After Falling in Love, the Overbearing CEO Finally Saw the Light
- Chapter 6 - Falling into the Transaction
He Yunqi was the most difficult person to read. After all, he was the “King of Hell” who had just returned, and no one truly knew his preferences. Rumors suggested he liked those who were innocent, well-behaved, yet open and knew their boundaries, regardless of gender. Was he changing his tastes now?
Perhaps due to the dim lighting, the crowd did not notice anything unusual about Gu He. However, his slender, fair neck had already turned a faint pink, a detail noticed only by He Yunqi and Xu Jichuan, who stood beside him.
Xu Jichuan frowned. One look and he knew this was one of Zhao Pengtai’s dirty tricks.
The Zhao family business was not entirely clean. In the early years, they dealt in shady dealings, and only recently had they begun to slowly legitimize their operations. In G City, they once stood toe-to-toe with the He family’s power. However, wealth rarely lasts three generations. They were once financial giants, but each generation proved worse than the last. They were on a downward trend, a classic case of starting high and ending low, destined for decay.
To compensate, Zhao Pengtai naturally engaged in a lot of superficial “good deeds,” such as charity and sponsoring impoverished students. Just how much of those actions remained in the shadows was something only they truly knew.
Furthermore, He Yunqi was no simple madman. He was low-profile and elusive, giving off the vibe of an alpha wolf lurking in the dark, always ready to strike. He was the type to force you down into an abyss of eternal damnation, step by step.
Clearly, Zhao Pengtai was not stupid and had noticed the shift in the atmosphere. In a world where profit leads and everything is a trade, they were all beasts who refused to lose out. He wanted to speak, but Gu He beat him to it.
Unknowingly, Gu He had become the prey on the negotiation table. Rather than letting the hunters choose, he decided to take the initiative. He was mature beyond his years and incredibly perceptive. It seemed he absolutely could not escape this trap tonight, so he might as well use the opportunity to rid himself of a vicious dog like Zhao Pengtai.
Life was far more cruel than imagined.
Gu He did his best to endure the physical discomfort as his body began to feel limp. His pride would not allow him to collapse in front of so many people. No matter which way he turned, it was a dead end. However, if he had to choose a partner for this transaction, he knew where to look.
“I heard the Seventh Lord also sponsors impoverished students.”
“Oh?” He Yunqi raised an eyebrow, giving him a nonchalant glance.
“I want to change my sponsor.” Gu He’s thin lips curled into a beautiful arc that carried a hint of innocence. Then, that smile gradually reached his eyes, and his originally cold gaze was veiled with a rare, seductive charm.
“And if I do not agree?” A comfortable smile hung on the corner of He Yunqi’s mouth, making him look like a refined gentleman.
The burning sensation consuming Gu He’s body intensified, yet he still tried to guard his last shred of dignity. However, the man in front of him seemed to want to crush that bit of insignificant pride.
Gu He’s eyes dimmed, emotions surging within them before being quickly concealed by his long eyelashes.
In the adult world, everything was mutually beneficial; what resources one deserved depended on their capabilities. Gu He understood this logic.
His vision grew hazy. He reached out, grabbed the other man’s shirt, and leaned close to his ear. “Please take me out of here. Any condition is fine, sir.”
“Oh?”
A flash of playfulness instantly rose in He Yunqi’s eyes.
“Then,” his low, raspy voice carried a siren-like allure, his casual tone making one’s ears tingle.
Then, the explicit question pierced directly into Gu He’s feverish ear, “Will you let me fuck you?”
