Chapter 25: I Want to Sleep with You Tonight

The luxury car sped away under Shen Jin’s watchful gaze, leaving with cool indifference and not a moment’s hesitation. Slowly… it vanished from sight.

All color drained from Shen Jin’s pale face. His thin frame stood frozen on the spot, staring blankly in the direction the car had gone, unable to process it. He let out a silent murmur: “A-Yu…”

Why did you just leave… You could have said one word to me. At least let me know if you never want to see me again…

From the very beginning, Shen Jin knew the gap in status between him and Yan Yu. He knew that while they lived in the same world, they belonged to two different realms entirely.

He slowly withdrew his gaze, no longer looking toward the distance because the man was completely gone. He lowered his head, staring at the tips of his shoes. His nose felt a bit stingy, but he forced a smile and said, “I know everything…”

I know he is the center of attention and of noble status. I know my own place. I also understand that he was just looking for something fresh and would get tired of me one day—it’s just that this day came too fast…

“What?” Bai Yujin was completely confused. Although he wasn’t great at analyzing expressions or moods, he could see the boy was dejected. He asked, “Are you okay?”

“I’m fine…” Shen Jin shook his head. His face was pale, but he managed to squeeze out a stiff smile. “Go ahead with your business. I have to go; it’s time for work.”

Unwilling to let anyone see his pathetic state, he left quickly before Bai Yujin could say another word. Bai Yujin remained where he was, watching the disheveled back of the departing youth. He frowned, his gaze turning complex.

After a moment, he muttered to himself, “I… I’m actually a pretty good guy too, right?”

After saying it, he felt a bit ridiculous.

Because of Yan Yu, Shen Jin was distracted all day. He made several mistakes while working at the supermarket and was scolded by the manager, but he couldn’t help it.

During the day, he worked as a cashier at a supermarket. In the evening, besides tutoring Bai Mu, he had another job. It didn’t have fixed hours and didn’t always require him.

It was a chaotic place—working as a waiter at a bar—but the money came fast, more than anywhere else.

Because Xie Li had moved in, Yan Yu had a feast prepared to welcome him. The house was brightly lit and bustling.

After the celebratory dinner, Yan Yu, who had been drinking, draped an arm around Xie Li’s shoulder. Temporarily ignoring the anger Shen Jin had caused him, he said to Xie Li, “From now on, you live here. If you need anything, just tell the staff. Don’t be polite!”

Xie Li wiped his mouth with a napkin, his movements elegant. Looking at the intoxicated man beside him, he could smell a faint, pleasant scent from such close proximity, making his heart skip a beat.

He thought to himself… if something were to happen between him and Yan Yu tonight… it would be equivalent to giving himself to him. From then on, Yan Yu’s heart… would probably be locked firmly onto him, wouldn’t it?

His room was right next to Yan Yu’s master bedroom. He allowed Yan Yu to hold him all the way to the door. He slowly opened the door, walked inside, and said, “It’s late, A-Yu. You should go back to your room.”

Yan Yu had drunk a lot, and his head was buzzing. He couldn’t help but take a step forward, catching Xie Li by the waist. One hand brushed against Xie Li’s chin as he whispered ambiguously into his ear with a low chuckle:
