After Entering a Contract Marriage with a Disabled Alpha - Chapter 39
An Omega of Pei Yu’s age is as innocent as they come, and as soft-hearted as they are pure.
How could he possibly withstand the calculated seduction of a man like Qin Shen, who was full of mischievous schemes? All it took was for Qin Shen to put on a slightly pitiful, longing expression, and Pei Yu would unconsciously soften. Like a little white rabbit tricked by a big bad wolf, he exposed his soft underbelly, ready to be kneaded.
The minimalist, cool bedroom was heated to a fever pitch by the lingering affection. Fifteen minutes vanished in the blink of an eye.
Pei Yu massaged his aching wrist, his eyes shimmering with heat as he whispered to Qin Shen that he didn’t need to maintain his “face” in front of him. To Pei Yu, it really wasn’t necessary. He already knew Qin Shen’s most authentic side. He was currently wearing Qin Shen’s clothes, which were several sizes too large that alone was proof enough.
No one knew the real Qin Shen better than Pei Yu.
“I’m not maintaining face.”
Qin Shen tilted his chin up and kissed Pei Yu’s blushing cheek, moving upward to kiss the boy’s long, curled eyelashes. His voice was low and raspy: “It’s simply how it is.”
Pei Yu: “…”
The gap between individuals was truly too wide. Why was Qin Shen more aggressive and more enduring than him? Pei Yu could only comfort himself with the fact that most Alphas had a stronger physical constitution.
Pei Yu looked down at Qin Shen; the man tilted his head back slightly, his jawline pulled tight. Every sound of his breathing scorched Pei Yu’s ears, turning them a deep crimson. If this continued, he was going to be completely overwhelmed by the Alpha’s pheromones.
With every intake of breath, the crisp cedar scent, laced with intense Alpha hormones, filled his nose, making his face burn. A 100% compatibility rating wasn’t just a number; the cedar-mint fragrance radiating from Qin Shen’s elevated body temperature genuinely affected him.
He was different from Qin Shen. Qin Shen was the President of the Qin Group—essentially self-employed. If he wanted to sleep in tomorrow, he could. Staying up late had no consequences for him. But for a man who had been single for years to suddenly fall in love, his state of mind couldn’t possibly be as relaxed as Pei Yu’s; he couldn’t control himself.
He was an Alpha whose needs were far greater than those of most Betas. With his rut approaching, having spent the day apart, and now being in the same room as his beloved Omega—what Alpha could endure that?
Pei Yu was even wearing his shirt. Just one look at him sparked the illusion that he had Pei Yu completely locked away.
“Who told you not to wear my suit trousers.”
Qin Shen nipped Pei Yu’s earlobe, his long fingers grazing Pei Yu’s knee. “And you say it wasn’t on purpose? Did my baby do this on purpose?” A hint of a smile flickered in Qin Shen’s eyes.
“Qin Shen!”
Pei Yu felt like he could die of embarrassment. He said indignantly, “I didn’t do it on purpose. Your pants are too long; they don’t fit me.” As he said it, a wave of worry washed over him what on earth did he need to eat to grow a bit taller?
After another moment, Pei Yu’s face heated up. “I’ll give you five more minutes. I’m sleepy.”
“…” Qin Shen was momentarily speechless. A soft laugh escaped his thin lips. He deliberately slowed his speech, enunciating every word: “This matter… mostly depends on you.”
Pei Yu understood the deeper meaning behind those words. After all, he wasn’t nearly as “skilled” as Qin Shen.
“What am I supposed to do?” Pei Yu murmured with a red face. Even an accidental glance made his eyelids feel hot and his brain dizzy.
“Then my baby should think about what to do, shouldn’t he?”
Qin Shen gently pinched the cartilage of the boy’s ear. His voice was low and steady, carrying a trace of playful teasing. His well-defined fingers moved down and back, grazing the side of Pei Yu’s neck, leaving a trail of agonizing itches. The Alpha was once again coveting the Omega gland at the back of the neck that was releasing the scent of roses.
“For example, if I lightly press the back of your neck, your eyelashes tremble,” Qin Shen rasped. His throat was dry from the heat of the moment. “That’s because the skin there is very sensitive. A slight touch causes a strong reaction in your body. Do you understand what I’m saying, baby?”
His dark eyes were deep and profound. Qin Shen was like a patient guide, personally teaching Pei Yu. This perfectly echoed what he had said in the car: if you don’t know how, I can teach you.
Pei Yu’s gaze froze for a moment as he slowly processed Qin Shen’s meaning. Ignoring the scorching heat in his palm, he raised his left hand, the one wearing the pink jade bead bracelet intending to mimic him and pinch the back of Qin Shen’s neck.
Before he even touched him, his fingers were caught and rubbed by Qin Shen. Qin Shen smiled. “Baby, I’m an Alpha. The gland on the back of my neck mostly serves to release pheromones; it isn’t as sensitive as an Omega’s. I’m not afraid of you touching me there.”
“Oh…” Pei Yu bit his lip, remembering their physiological differences. “Right.”
After thinking for a few seconds, Pei Yu had another realization. He learned to apply the logic: he just needed to find a spot where Qin Shen did have a strong reaction.
So, Pei Yu slowly lifted the hem of Qin Shen’s shirt. He scanned Qin Shen’s well-trained, perfectly aligned abdominal muscles. The lines were smooth and clear; every muscle bulge carried a sense of explosive power and Alpha hormones. They were naturally, intensely attractive—especially to someone like Pei Yu who didn’t have distinct abs.
Pei Yu looked at Qin Shen’s physique with envy. “Wow, you’re amazing. I really want abs like yours.”
He brought his left hand closer. His soft, warm palm pressed against the well-defined muscles, the jade beads bringing a sudden coolness to the skin.
Qin Shen paused for several seconds, letting out a slow breath. “You like them that much?” He pressed his dry, warm palm over the back of Pei Yu’s hand. “Then play with them however you like.”
“…”
Pei Yu’s eyelashes fluttered wildly. “Who wants to play with your abs? I’m doing serious work here.”
As he spoke, he gave them a little squeeze, feeling the vitality hidden within the muscles. At the same time, he tilted his exquisite face upward. To Qin Shen’s surprise, Pei Yu leaned in and kissed the man’s prominent, sexy Adam’s apple.
Soft black hair brushed against Qin Shen’s jaw, and the boy’s rose fragrance washed over him sweet, rich, and heart-stirring. The most vulnerable part of an Alpha’s neck, a spot where an injury could easily be fatal was being held gently in the boy’s mouth.
Pei Yu’s fingertips trembled slightly as his lips felt the micro-movements of Qin Shen’s Adam’s apple rolling up and down. Qin Shen seemed… very nervous. Was he afraid of being hurt? Or was the area just that sensitive? Likely, no one had ever been this close to him before.
In his wandering thoughts, Pei Yu parted his teeth and gave a gentle nip. He heard a muffled groan from Qin Shen.
Did I bite too hard?
Pei Yu immediately felt guilty. Like a cat licking a wound, he began to soothe the tooth mark he’d left on Qin Shen’s skin. Qin Shen’s breathing grew heavy; for the first time, he felt a sense of being completely controlled.
Not only was Pei Yu holding him, but he was also nipping at the blood vessels on the side of his neck.
A dense itch crawled up Qin Shen’s spine, sending a jolt through his entire body like an electric current.
“Did I hurt you? I don’t think I broke the skin,” Pei Yu whispered, his warm breath fanning against Qin Shen.
As that vibrant breath brushed past, Qin Shen’s Adam’s apple rolled. Just as Pei Yu was about to pull away, Qin Shen’s feverish brain cleared for a split second, and his hand reached up to cup the back of the boy’s head.
“Weren’t you… going to give me a ‘strawberry’? How can you leave before finishing?”
The pressure on the back of his neck nudged Pei Yu forward again. Once more his lips pressed against Qin Shen’s Adam’s apple, and at first, Pei Yu didn’t move. Qin Shen’s fingers lightly massaged the thin skin at the nape of his neck—a silent urge.
With Qin Shen’s unsteady breathing echoing in his ear, Pei Yu’s heart tightened, and his blood felt like it was reaching a boiling point. A few seconds later, face burning, he minutely moved his lips.
“Continue,” Qin Shen commanded, his eyes half-lidded.
Pei Yu paused, recalling how Qin Shen planted hickeys, and like a kitten, he began a mixture of biting and soft suckling. The warmth at his neck caused Qin Shen’s body to tense instantly. His deep, dark eyes grew even darker, harboring an unreadable light.
He hadn’t expected Pei Yu to learn so fast—and so thoroughly. Not only were both of the boy’s hands teasing him, but he had even leaned in to bite his throat. At such close proximity, the sweet scent of the “little rose” stirred every one of Qin Shen’s emotions.
Time ticked by.
By the time Qin Shen realized what was happening, he had already fallen into the trap Pei Yu set for him, left with no strength to counter-attack. He was being led entirely by the nose.
“Hmph.”
Sensing the thick scent of cedar and mint, Pei Yu smiled triumphantly, his curved eyes as beautiful as crescent moons. In a light, soft voice, he uttered words that were cold and cruel: “President Qin is only so-so, it seems.”
“…”
After a few seconds of recovery, Qin Shen’s face darkened. He pulled Pei Yu up and kissed him heavily, determined to reclaim some of his “face.” The sounds of intermittent kissing filled the room.
Pei Yu, who had been gloating just moments before, could only let out soft pleas for mercy under the weight of Qin Shen’s deep kiss. Qin Shen kissed the corners of the boy’s eyes, his brow, the tip of his nose, and his lips with a lingering tenderness. Every inch of skin was stained with Qin Shen’s frosty pheromones.
Pei Yu… was kissed until he cried again.
The room gradually fell quiet. Pei Yu lay there with messy hair, his body saturated with Qin Shen’s cedar-mint scent. Feeling a wave of delayed shame, he felt incredibly annoyed with himself. How did he end up giving in so easily?
Qin Shen glanced at a damp corner of the wrinkled gray shirt, a smile playing in his sharp eyes. “Baby, I have to wear that shirt tomorrow, you know.”
Pei Yu’s face turned scarlet. As he looked up, the starlight from the lamps fell into his eyes, illuminating the faint mist of tears. “Are you… actually disgusted with yourself?”
“Not exactly.” Qin Shen’s eyes curved with satisfaction. He took the boy’s hand and whispered, “Do you want me to…?”
Pei Yu swatted his hand away and pulled the duvet over his burning face, his voice muffled: “No. I’m going to sleep.”
He heard the rustle of Qin Shen tidying the bed. Pei Yu’s consciousness began to drift, like falling into a vast, boundless sea. Sleepiness claimed him. Vaguely, he felt an exquisitely gentle kiss on his forehead. Surrounded by the scent of crisp cedar, Pei Yu drifted off.
The next morning, the gray sky lightened slightly, and the early autumn breeze ruffled the white lace curtains. On the large bed, the duvet rose in a soft curve where the two slept in each other’s arms. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy.
When the alarm went off, Pei Yu woke up in a daze, rubbing his bleary eyes with a messy tuft of bedhead sticking up. The movement woke Qin Shen.
Qin Shen opened his eyes and immediately leaned over to kiss the soft tips of Pei Yu’s hair. “Want to sleep a bit longer?”
Pei Yu sat there staring into space for a full three minutes. Qin Shen didn’t rush him, simply holding him to enjoy a moment of peace. Finally, becoming more alert, Pei Yu said slowly, “No, I’ll get up and read for a bit.”
He crawled out of the warm covers. His school uniform for the day was already hanging on the valet stand. Taking it, he changed out of the gray shirt—now heavy with rose-scented pheromones. His slender fingers undid the buttons: one, two, three… the gray fabric made his skin look even whiter.
“Turn around, will you?” Pei Yu nudged the unmoving Qin Shen with his foot.
“Mhm,” Qin Shen’s voice was slightly husky.
Once changed, Pei Yu flushed and stuffed the last piece of “personal” clothing into the shirt. Qin Shen was really going to wear it. Sleeping in it was one thing—it was new then—but he had worn it all night. Qin Shen was going to wear it for an entire day.
At the thought, Pei Yu’s face turned bright red. He knew Qin Shen was doing it for treatment, but this treatment was just a bit too perverted.
“Do you have to wear it on your person?” Pei Yu asked suddenly.
Qin Shen paused, understanding the implication. “Otherwise? Did you want me to just hold it and sniff it?”
“…” “…”
Pei Yu’s face was instantly drained of color, then flooded with red. He shook his head in a daze and threw the clothes at him. “Here… I’m going to go wash up.”
As if being chased by something, Pei Yu fled the scene of massive embarrassment.
Qin Shen looked down at the shirt and the clothes in front of him. He looked for a long time. Finally, his pale fingers picked up the shirt; the rose fragrance climbed from his fingertips to his arms, spreading through his whole body.
Qin Shen’s argument with his parents last night hadn’t been pleasant. At breakfast, Pei Yu didn’t see them—perhaps they were still sleeping off their jet lag. He didn’t ask why.
Qin Shuo was sighing, clearly unhappy. “Grandpa, eat properly,” Qin Shen said, looking up.
The words Qin Shuo wanted to say were on the tip of his tongue, but seeing Qin Shen’s cold expression, he swallowed them to avoid ruining the mood.
As usual, after breakfast, Qin Shen accompanied Old Yang to drop off Pei Yu and Qin Yiyang. Before leaving, Qin Yiyang spotted the hickey on Pei Yu’s neck and spoke up.
“Ahem. Cough, cough.”
Pei Yu didn’t react at first. Following Qin Yiyang’s gaze, he realized he’d forgotten to hide the pink mark. He instinctively looked at Qin Shen’s Adam’s apple, searching for the mark he had planted. There was indeed a small, faint pink area on the man’s throat but it wasn’t obvious at all.
Pei Yu paused, his light brown eyes full of confusion. He had bitten and suckled so much last night was he really that weak?
“Curious why it’s not there?” Qin Shen pointed to the spot. Pei Yu nodded. “Alphas generally have better constitutions; we recover faster. Plus, you didn’t bite particularly hard last night.”
Qin Shen had actually intended to subtly show it off to Jiang Yibai during a video conference this morning. He hadn’t expected that by the time he woke up, the hickey would be nearly gone, leaving only a faint flush.
Meanwhile, Pei Yu’s skin was so fair and delicate that the mark Qin Shen had left was deeply stamped.
Pei Yu: “…” So annoying.
With a red face, he went back to the room, found a band-aid, and covered it.
At school, Zhou Yue noticed the band-aid. “Huh… didn’t you have a band-aid in a different spot before?”
“…” Pei Yu looked awkward. “Mhm. The old bug bite is better. I got bitten by a different bug last night, so I put on a new one.”
Innocent Zhou Yue nodded. Though she felt something was off, she didn’t put it together. Pei Yu added, trying to cover his tracks, “I live in the old mansion. There are lots of bugs on the mountain.”
As soon as he said it, Qin Yiyang and Su Yan burst into laughter simultaneously. Qin Yiyang’s was a loud “Hahaha,” while Su Yan’s was more reserved, a small dimple appearing on his right cheek as he smiled.
“Why are you both laughing?” Zhou Yue asked, blinking in confusion.
Qin Yiyang waved his hand while laughing. “Nothing, just thought of something funny.”
Zhou Yue asked Su Yan hesitantly, “You too?”
Su Yan pulled back his smile and glanced at Pei Yu. “Yeah, me too.”
Pei Yu, catching the meaningful look: “…”
“Is that so…” Zhou Yue muttered. “Maybe you should buy some insecticide to show them who’s boss.”
Pei Yu was mortified. He flopped onto his desk like he had no bones, grabbing a large textbook to hide his reddening face.
He definitely wasn’t going to let Qin Shen nibble on him anymore. So, frustrating.
