After Entering a Contract Marriage with a Disabled Alpha - Chapter 38.2
Pei Yu had just finished a major organic chemistry problem. He looked toward the bathroom. He was curious why Qin Shen always stayed in there for so long after the caregiver left. He stood up and walked over slowly. Without knocking, he leaned against the door to listen. There was a faint sound of water and the rolling of wheelchair wheels.
Knock, knock.
“Qin Shen, are you still showering?”
Under the showerhead, Qin Shen’s hand stopped.
Although a caregiver helps him, it is absolutely impossible for Qin Shen to bathe completely exposed in front of them. Generally, he only requires assistance with his waist, back, and limbs.
“Still in here…” Qin Shen called out, raising his voice slightly.
Outside the door, Pei Yu’s slender silhouette was a blur. Knowing the boy was still out there, Qin Shen didn’t dare continue washing the remaining areas.
“Oh, is there anything you need help with? I can bathe you, too!”
Qin Shen: “…”
He felt that Pei Yu was truly “fearless through ignorance.” If he actually let the boy in to help, Pei Yu would likely end up with a racing heart and a face red enough to combust. He still remembered how Pei Yu’s ears turned crimson just from using his hands to help last time. Besides, letting Pei Yu continue the wash would guarantee that this would turn into something much more than a “pure” bath.
“No need, I can manage on my own,” Qin Shen said flatly.
Standing outside, Pei Yu assumed Qin Shen was simply self-conscious about his legs. He remembered the scar on Qin Shen’s left hip from the accident; even though years had passed and the mark had faded, it was still haunting, a silent testament to the violence of the crash.
Pei Yu’s heart stirred. He picked at the frosted glass of the door and said softly, “Actually, I don’t mind your legs. So, if you need anything, you can let me help.”
Qin Shen paused, a small smile tugging at his lips. He appreciated the kind gesture, but right now, he really didn’t need Pei Yu’s “help.”
“Truly, it’s fine. I’m coming out soon…”
The warm water had been off for a while, and the droplets on his skin were drying, leaving his body feeling slightly chilled. Fortunately, the early autumn air wasn’t too cold yet.
Outside, Pei Yu was still worried. Assistant Li’s words echoed in his mind: The closer someone is to him, the less likely Qin Shen is to show the wounds from the accident. Determined to be a “warm little coat” for him, Pei Yu leaned against the door and coaxed, “We’re going to have to see each other ‘honestly’ eventually, anyway…”
“Your physique is way better than mine. You have those beautiful abs, and your legs are shaped perfectly. Don’t they say scars are a man’s medals or something?”
As Pei Yu racked his brain for more sweet talk, the phone in his pocket vibrated. He pulled it out to see Qin Shen’s avatar flashing. He was baffled. They were separated by a single door—why message instead of speaking?
Full of doubt, Pei Yu opened WeChat. He saw a photo and a single sentence. The photo showed a flash of cool, white skin—Qin Shen’s legs as he sat. A cream-colored towel covered his thighs, but the towel was… noticeably propped up.
Qin Shen: Well, if you think you’re up for it, come in and help me wash.
One second. Five seconds. Ten seconds.
Pei Yu suddenly realized why the caregivers always finished so quickly. His face and ears exploded in a deep red.
This… this was just pure hooliganism! Pei Yu puffed out his cheeks and turned to flee.
Hearing the footsteps retreating, Qin Shen chuckled in the bathroom. His long fingers tapped out a message unhurriedly:
Qin Shen: My baby really isn’t up for it, is he?
The other party is typing… The status vanished, reappeared after two seconds, vanished again, and then repeated. After a long wait, Qin Shen finally received the succinct reply he’d been itching for:
Little One: PERVERT!!!
Pei Yu felt like he was going to die of embarrassment. No wonder Qin Shen kept refusing help—and he had actually kept pushing for it!
Pei Yu flopped onto the bed, his body feeling like it had no bones. He grabbed Qin Shen’s pillow and kneaded it repeatedly to vent his frustration until it was wrinkled and sad.
So humiliating.
He buried his red face in the pillow. With one breath, he inhaled the thick scent of cedar and mint. Like he’d touched a hot potato, Pei Yu immediately threw the pillow across the room.
Fifteen minutes later, Qin Shen emerged from the bathroom to find Pei Yu sitting upright at the desk, studying intensely. His pillow lay lonely and pathetic on the floor.
Pei Yu’s one-sided anger only lasted until bedtime. He realized he couldn’t entirely blame Qin Shen. Since they were living together now, he took his towel and pajamas into the bathroom—no need to go back to his own room to shower.
Hearing the movement, Qin Shen flicked his eyelids open. “Baby, wait.”
Pei Yu’s heart tightened, thinking he was about to face another heart-pounding scene. Instead, Qin Shen handed him a gray shirt and black suit trousers. Both were Qin Shen’s.
“What’s this?” Pei Yu blinked.
“Don’t wear your pajamas after your shower. Put these on. Sleep in them tonight, and by tomorrow morning, they’ll be full of your pheromones.” Qin Shen paused, his Adam’s apple rolling. “Then, I’ll wear them.”
Wear the clothes he had worn against his skin?
Pei Yu’s fingertips curled in shyness as he took the clothes. “Oh…” He nervously checked the bundle; finding no “personal” undergarments hidden inside, he let out a breath of relief.
Seeing his relaxed expression, Qin Shen frowned. “Is something wrong?”
Pei Yu blurted out, “Oh, I just thought you might have secretly hidden some underwear in here.”
“…” “…”
The air fell into a deathly silence. Realizing what nonsense he’d just said, Pei Yu’s legs went weak. He stammered, “I just… I just said it because whenever I shower, that’s how it is…” He trailed off, silenced by Qin Shen’s half-smiling gaze.
Ugh. I want to find a block of tofu and end it all.
“I’m going to shower now!” Pei Yu turned to bolt, but his wrist was caught in Qin Shen’s firm grip. He turned to find Qin Shen looking at him with a teasing, mischievous glint.
“I haven’t been thoughtful enough. I didn’t realize my baby was so ‘open-minded,'” Qin Shen said. “Wait here, I’ll go get them for you now.”
“No! No need!” Pei Yu stammered, his face burning. “Really, it’s fine. The clothes and the pheromone patch are definitely enough.”
Qin Shen felt himself becoming more of a rogue by the second. The thought of his clothes carrying the rose fragrance of Pei Yu’s pheromones made every cell in his body shiver. “Be good, baby. I’ll get you a new pair, unworn. I won’t tease you.”
“I really don’t need them!” “You do.” “I don’t!” “Yes.”
Bang! The bathroom door slammed shut.
Unable to win against Qin Shen, Pei Yu stood in the bathroom holding the bundle of clothes. Just one look at the undergarments on top made his face feel like it was on fire. I really have to wear these?
His thoughts were a mess. He placed the clothes on the rack and turned on the shower, hoping the water would wash away his “impure” thoughts. He had definitely been corrupted by Qin Shen.
Amidst the steam, the boy’s fair skin turned a soft pink. Dampened by the hot water, Pei Yu looked glowing, even his toes flushing a cherry-blossom pink.
He procrastinated until he was finished, then stared at the clothes and swallowed hard. His hands shook as he reached for them, so embarrassed he felt he might faint. Even though the black undergarments were new and clean, the thought that they belonged to Qin Shen made his shyness uncontrollable.
He put on the gray shirt first, then—after much hesitating—the rest.
The shyness vanished instantly, replaced by a massive blow to his ego. How is Qin Shen this much bigger than me? It was a disgrace. Pei Yu sniffed indignantly and decided he needed to drink two extra glasses of milk tomorrow morning.
Since the clothes were Qin Shen’s size, they were incredibly baggy on him. The undergarments had an elastic waistband, so they stayed up, but the suit trousers were a different story. Even buttoned, the waist was too large, sliding down to hang precariously on his hips. The legs were so long that they dragged on the floor, getting soaked by the water.
Pei Yu pouted, took the trousers off, and stepped out in his slippers. “Your pants are too long. I’ll just leave them under my covers tonight to soak up the scent.”
It might be less pheromones than wearing them, but something was better than nothing.
Qin Shen was lying on the bed flipping through a book. He turned his head at the sound and froze. His dark eyes darkened instantly, smoldering with an unreadable light. The fire he had been restraining for so long was suddenly fanned into a blaze.
Pei Yu, still damp from the shower, was breathtakingly beautiful—like a little prince stepped out of a painting. Wet black hair clung to his fair cheeks, and the shirt was so loose it practically swamped him, the collar slightly open to reveal the elegant lines of his collarbone. As he walked, the hem of the shirt swayed, occasionally revealing the black edge of the undergarments.
Below that were two long, white, straight legs. They were perfectly shaped and ivory-white, with no scars or blemishes. Due to his constitution, his legs were smooth and hairless.
Qin Shen heard himself swallow. Fearing he might lose control, he looked away slightly and pulled a hairdryer from the nightstand drawer.
“Come sit. I’ll dry your hair for you,” Qin Shen said, his voice incredibly husky.
Pei Yu nodded. He draped the trousers over the edge of the bed and sat in front of Qin Shen. As he sat cross-legged, the hem of the shirt rode up another few centimeters. Qin Shen’s fingers faltered; his Adam’s apple rolled as his gaze grew darker, hiding a fire that wouldn’t go out.
“Dry it,” Pei Yu reminded him softly after a few seconds. Fresh from the hot bath, his voice was soft and sweet, stirring Qin Shen’s heart.
Qin Shen snapped back to reality and let out a heavy breath. He turned on the hairdryer, but his other hand reached out to wrap around Pei Yu’s waist. With the strength of one arm, he lifted Pei Yu and flipped him around.
He sat Pei Yu directly on his lap.
Only then did Pei Yu realize the atmosphere had changed. “I should probably get down. We don’t need to sit face-to-face like this.” His face heated up as he lifted a leg to leave.
But his porcelain-white calf was immediately pinned down by a large, warm hand. Subconscious desire took over; Qin Shen didn’t want him to leave, so he applied a bit of pressure. The milky-white skin seemed to spill through his fingers, silken and soft.
Pei Yu trembled at the heat of the palm. “Let’s dry it like this. I want to look at you,” Qin Shen rasped.
“Oh…” Pei Yu could clearly feel himself pressed against Qin Shen’s knees. Knowing his current state of dress, he realized sitting still was better than squirming, so he didn’t move.
Fortunately, Qin Shen just focused on his wet hair, doing nothing strange. Gradually, under the warm air of the dryer, Pei Yu’s tensed back relaxed. Qin Shen’s hands moved through his hair with meticulous tenderness. The atmosphere was warm and quiet, their scents intertwining.
Once the hair was mostly dry, Pei Yu said, “Okay, that’s enough. The rest can air dry.”
“Mhm, okay.” Qin Shen set the dryer down. Before Pei Yu could move, his waist was gripped. Qin Shen pulled him closer until their lips were almost touching.
Pei Yu’s heart skipped. He parted his lips to say something, but Qin Shen’s breath was already on his ear.
“Do you really think I’m ‘incapable’ like the rumors say?” Qin Shen squeezed the boy’s slender waist.
Pei Yu felt a jolt go down his spine. “No, I know you’re… very capable.” He trembled, unable to withstand the intensity in Qin Shen’s eyes. “Let me down.”
“No.”
Qin Shen tilted his head up to kiss the boy’s lips, even nipping them slightly. Pei Yu let out a pained whimper, but was soon pulled into a deeper, more fervent kiss. His breathing grew frantic, and broken sounds escaped his throat.
“Qin Shen, stop biting… mmh…”
Qin Shen pulled back slightly, his voice thick. “I won’t. Who told you to provoke me by wearing just my shirt?”
“I didn’t, your pants were too big!”
The explanation was swallowed back into his throat. Qin Shen gripped Pei Yu’s waist and sealed his soft lips once more.
“You did, I say you did, so you did.”
