- After Being Entangled By the Obsessive Heroine [Quick Wear]
- Chapter 12 - "Be obedient and don't make me worry."
Xian Ning wasn’t scared, but the people around them were. Someone gasped, and a waiter immediately came forward to ask if he could help.
Tang Di gave the waiter a cold, menacing look and roared, “Get lost!”
The waiter didn’t want to get into trouble and politely backed away. The other guests, seeing Tang Di’s state, didn’t dare to go forward and intervene.
Xian Ning felt her bones were really about to be crushed. She strained to pull her hand away. Her arm slid down a few centimeters, and her skin was already red, as if bruised.
“Tang Di, let go of me!”
Not only did Tang Di did not let her go, but he tightened his grip. Xian Ning felt her bones had to be broken; she could hear a faint snapping sound.
She was actually very sensitive to pain, but he wouldn’t listen. Out of pure frustration, she kicked him in the groin.
Unexpectedly, the guy was prepared and blocked her kick instantly.
Xian Ning couldn’t do much in her gown, and the atmosphere became tense.
“Let go!”
As the voice rang out, Tang Di’s knee was hit hard, and one of his legs buckled, making him kneel.
Xue Yingxian slapped Tang Di’s hand away and pulled Xian Ning behind her.
Xian Ning’s arm was bright red, with clear finger marks. It hurt so much that her eyes were tearing up.
Seeing Xian Ning’s hurt and pitiful expression, a rush of anger shot up to Xue Yingxian’s head.
“What’s wrong with you?! If you’re sick, go get treated! Don’t go around biting people like a mad dog.”
The people in their circle had heard rumors about Tang Di’s condition. They usually spoke to him with extreme caution, afraid of saying the wrong thing and offending him. But Xue Yingxian just blurted it all out.
Tang Di never talked about his illness and never allowed others to mention it. Before Xue Yingxian had even finished, his face had turned horribly grim.
Xian Ning felt this expression was familiar. He was probably about to have another episode, so she quickly pulled Xue Yingxian aside to prevent her from getting hurt.
“Be careful, he might go crazy.”
Xue Yingxian gave a faint “mm” in reply, her face softening a little.
Just as Tang Di was about to lose control, the hotel manager appeared and had him carried out.
Xian Ning didn’t relax until he had disappeared from the banquet hall.
She looked up to see Xue Yingxian staring at her. Xian Ning followed her gaze and realized their hands were intertwined.
I must have grabbed her hand out of nervousness just now, Xian Ning thought.
She was a little embarrassed, but before she could pull her hand away, Xue Yingxian tightened her grip, lacing their fingers together.
“?”
“Tang Di might not have left yet. It’s safer if you stay with me.”
Xian Ning thought she was right. If they separated, either one of them could be in danger.
The things in the lounge were smashed to pieces. Even the people the manager called in to bandage him were injured, and his own hands were covered in blood.
The manager was terrified but didn’t dare say a word. He stood by the door, trembling like a frightened quail.
If anything happened to him, the Tang family would never let it go, but if he dared to utter a sound now, Tang would make him suffer the same fate as those people.
He was going to die either way, so he’d choose to die later. He’d live as long as he could.
Tang Di’s veins were bulging on his forehead and his expression was as dark as it could be. The air around him felt heavy and still.
“How… how dare they?”
It sounded like he was talking to himself, but if you listened closely, you could hear the cruelty and a hint of murderous intent.
The manager was startled and bowed his head even lower, a layer of cold sweat on his back.
It seemed the rumors weren’t false; this guy was truly insane.
Tang Di clenched his fist, and blood dripped onto the floor, quickly forming a small pool. The manager secretly glanced at it and continued to play dead.
“Fine! If you want to play like this, I’ll see it through to the end.”
Tang Di took a deep breath, looking at a certain spot thoughtfully, a smile on his face that was bizarre and creepy.

Meanwhile, Xue Yingxian drove Xian Ning home, parked at the intersection, and walked her to the building entrance.
“Thank you for taking me back. Be careful on your way.”
Xian Ning turned to walk inside, but she was pulled into an embrace.
“This is the second time he had an episode. You should know how dangerous he is now, right? Just listen to me and stop making me worry.”
Xian Ning didn’t resist her hug and didn’t respond either.
If there were any other way, she would never get close to Tang Di. Heaven knew how much she loathed that man.
Just one more try. If it doesn’t work, I’ll give up. There must be another way to stop the plot from collapsing.
If all else fails, she would have to sacrifice herself.
[You’re going to die?]
Xian Ning: …
“It’s a metaphor, you know? It’s impossible for me to die. I’ll just run away.”
033 fell silent. This meant she was going to leave the mess for it to clean up again.
Meeting a host like this was truly a misery for a system!
They held each other, a simple physical embrace, yet their hearts felt closer than ever before.
Footsteps echoed in the hallway, and Xian Ning whispered, “I should go up now.”
Xue Yingxian let her go and watched her walk in. Only when Xian Ning’s slim figure disappeared from view did she turn and leave.

When she got home, her parents were in the living room, their expressions were serious.
Xue Yingxian changed her shoes and walked over to sit across from them.
“Did Tang Di tell you about me?”
Her father let out a long sigh. “How did it get to this point?”
The events at the banquet had already spread, and the Tang family was very displeased.
The two families had been in close contact in recent years, and the Tang family had expressed interest in a marriage alliance. While they didn’t want their daughter to marry for business, they also didn’t want to ruin their relationship.
They had wanted the two young people to get to know each other, just in case they fell in love.
“Let’s hear what Xiaoxian has to say. She isn’t a reckless child.”
Xue Yingxian’s mother was graceful and composed, radiating an air of nobility. Time hadn’t left a single mark on her face. No one would doubt they were sisters.
She was emotionally stable and mentally strong, and she had never lost her temper with her children.
Xue Yingxian was blunt. “Tang Di had an episode at the banquet and hurt Xian Ning. If I hadn’t intervened, he might have done something even more extreme.”
Xue Yingxian’s mother looked at her father with a “I told you so” expression.
Xian Ning was the daughter they had raised for seventeen years. When he heard she was hurt, her father was naturally more worried about her.
“How badly was Xian Ning hurt?”
“She has a big bruise on her arm. Any more, and her bone would have been broken.”
Xue Yingxian’s mother frowned, a hint of anger on her beautiful face.
“What’s wrong with Tang Di? He and Xian Ning used to have a good relationship. Why would he suddenly hurt her?”
Seeing her mother’s displeasure, Xue Yingxian seized the opportunity. “Mom, you saw him crush that rabbit before. He has a serious psychological problem. The Tang family refusing to send him to a hospital will only make his condition worse. It looks like they’re helping him, but they’re actually hurting him.”
Her mother agreed. “That’s true.”
“So, please talk to Uncle and Auntie Tang and tell them to send Tang Di to a hospital for treatment. Otherwise, if their heir keeps having these fits, he’ll ruin the Tang family.”
Given the severity of Tang Di’s illness, it wouldn’t be easy for him to get out of the hospital. That way, no one would bother her and Xian Ning.
Everything is going according to plan.
