After Becoming a Full-Time Employee, I Signed a Romance Contract with My Ice-Cold Boss - Chapter 36
Temporary Marking
The cool white light of the refrigerator shone on Jiang Fengyi’s already pale skin, making her appear as fair as snow. The frigid air spilling out from the fridge brought waves of crisp cold, providing just the right relief for the burning heat of her gland.
Jiang Fengyi tilted her head back slightly, taking large gulps of the drinking water that had once again reached her lips.
Opposite her, Xu Que held the bottled water, performing her duties as a devoted subordinate focusing solely on serving her superior.
Halfway through, Xu Que withdrew the water.
Not having drunk her fill, Jiang Fengyi stared at her with dissatisfaction. She watched as the other woman closed the refrigerator door and placed her palm as a cushion between the hard surface of the fridge and Jiang Fengyi’s back.
The hand at her lower back circled halfway around, coming to rest against Jiang Fengyi’s abdomen.
“You haven’t had dinner yet; don’t drink too much water.”
Jiang Fengyi’s attention shifted along with Xu Que’s hand to her own belly. Having never had her stomach touched by anyone before, she blushed and grabbed the other’s arm.
Xu Que wasn’t annoyed; she led the woman back while asking, “Are you hungry?”
Jiang Fengyi gave a small nod.
Xu Que asked again, “Do you want me to serve you and make you happy first, or do you want to eat dinner first?”
Jiang Fengyi buried her head in Xu Que’s chest and remained silent, the two clouds of red on her cheeks refusing to fade for a long time.
Xu Que turned her steps toward the dining room.
Her voice rose with feigned surprise: “I’ve thought of a way!”
“You eat dinner, and I’ll serve you.”
She reached out to tidy Jiang Fengyi’s long hair, which had been ruffled. “These are two separate things; they don’t interfere with happening at the same time.”
The Dining Table
As Jiang Fengyi bit into a piece of chicken so tender the meat fell off the bone, the soft flesh at the back of her neck was being meticulously nibbled.
The unprecedented sensation highly stimulated her brain. Slight pain accompanied by intense pleasure caused the soup spoon in her hand to clatter back into the porcelain bowl. Every cell in her body was screaming with excitement.
Jiang Fengyi truly couldn’t concentrate on drinking her soup; she simply closed her eyes and immersed herself entirely in the tenderness Xu Que brought.
Xu Que’s teeth grazed the skin around the gland bit by bit. Everywhere she passed, small red marks quickly appeared. The floral scent reached its most concentrated peak.
Thoughtfully, she changed her movements to a fine grinding, no longer continuing to over-stimulate Jiang Fengyi.
Their skin pressed together, whispering into each other’s ears.
Xu Que held Jiang Fengyi, breathing into her ear, which was red enough to bleed: “I… can I give you a temporary mark?”
Even though she was the giver, her tone was humble, as if pleading for Jiang Fengyi’s approval.
“Is it okay?”
Her tongue brushed against the earlobe. A moist spring-like sensation germinated from this spot, flowing through her limbs along with the tumbling heat.
“You… you look like…”
Xu Que chuckled. Her fingertips followed the contour of the other’s ear all the way down, returning once more to the back of her neck. The moment those slightly cool fingers touched the swollen gland, Jiang Fengyi’s body shuddered.
“You look like you need a temporary mark.”
“Can you accept me…”
Before she could finish her sentence—not because Xu Que stopped intentionally, but because Jiang Fengyi, taking advantage of her mouth being open to speak, suddenly slid her index finger into Xu Que’s mouth.
The pad of her finger brushed against the inner lining of the oral cavity, tracing along the gums to find the sharpest canine tooth, stroking back and forth around it teasingly.
Her mouth couldn’t speak, but her joyful mood overflowed from her eyes, which were curved into crescents.
She knew this was Jiang Fengyi’s answer.
Xu Que kept her mouth open, letting Jiang Fengyi stir as she pleased, unable to suppress the physiological instinct to constantly swallow the newly secreted saliva in her mouth.
…
Once Jiang Fengyi had played enough, Xu Que carried her back to the bedroom.
Jiang Fengyi lay on her side on the bed with her back to Xu Que. Her slightly curled body betrayed a hint of nervousness.
Xu Que brushed aside the strands of hair falling over the gland. Her throat felt tight, and her tongue subconsciously pressed against the canine tooth Jiang Fengyi had just touched; it felt a bit dry.
She knelt onto the bed. Her actions replaced words, silently offering comfort to the other woman.
…
The moment the teeth pierced the gland, pheromones flooded into Jiang Fengyi’s body like a deluge. She was quickly submerged in this tide.
Once the initial pain passed, only enjoyment remained.
Jiang Fengyi felt as if she were soaking in a hot spring—warm, comfortable, and pleasant. Heart-settling solace flowed through her veins to her entire body, and every pore of her skin let out a sigh of comfort.
The perceptions of “She is possessing me” and “She is soothing me” surfaced alternately in Jiang Fengyi’s mind. Regardless of which it was, she inevitably developed an absolute dependence on Xu Que.
She wanted to think of nothing, only wanting to nestle in the other’s arms for a long time, never leaving for a moment.
A sense of security filled her from deep within the gland. Jiang Fengyi’s body trembled unconsciously, her fingers gripping the bedsheets—making one worry she might hurt her nails if she used too much force.
But soon, that worry became unnecessary.
Xu Que’s hand slid all the way down Jiang Fengyi’s arm to her wrist. she opened her palm, squeezing between the bedsheet and Jiang Fengyi’s palm, interlocking their fingers tightly, letting her vent all her strength onto Xu Que herself.
“Mm…”
The person lying on her side would let out unconscious whimpers when she felt good. If Xu Que’s strength accidentally became too much, she would slightly knit her brows until the other lightened her movements.
Jiang Fengyi’s expressions were truly easy to read. Xu Que only had to stare at her face to know whether she liked it or was indifferent.
Although the temporary marking was complete, Xu Que remained full of interest in exploring Jiang Fengyi’s body, never tiring of it, tossing and turning until the latter half of the night before falling asleep.
The Next Morning
The bedroom curtains were not drawn.
The early morning sunlight burst recklessly into the bedroom, leaving its presence on the wooden floor and toasting the nearby objects with the scent of sunshine.
As time passed, its position shifted continuously. The two people huddled together on the bed were still in a deep sleep, showing no signs of waking.
It wasn’t until the fragmented golden light spilled onto the bedside that Xu Que slowly lifted her eyelids.
The first thing she saw was Jiang Fengyi’s peaceful sleeping face. Reality was a hundred times sweeter than the beautiful dreams she had once had.
After waking, Xu Que did nothing but gaze at the other without blinking. Just watching was enough to feel her heart quickly being filled to the brim with happiness.
She couldn’t help but curl her lips into a smile, yet she didn’t dare make a sound for fear of waking the other. Holding her breath, she crawled off the bed, didn’t even put on her slippers, and tiptoed quietly out of the bedroom.
Jiang Fengyi was awakened by the aroma of food. When her eyes opened, her brain wasn’t fully awake yet, unable to distinguish whether this moment was reality or a dream.
That was, until her stomach growled.
She subconsciously touched her empty abdomen, belatedly feeling the hollowness in her stomach.
“So hungry~”
When she spoke, she realized her voice was incredibly hoarse. She sat up and happened to see a glass of water on the nightstand beside her.
Without a second thought, Jiang Fengyi picked it up and drank it all.
The water in the glass had been cooled in advance, and the temperature was just right, but there was only half a glass. She smacked her lips, not having had quite enough.
She carried the empty glass out to get some more water. Just as she got out of bed, she saw Xu Que walking into the room.
The scenes from last night were still vivid in her mind, and the thin-skinned Jiang Fengyi unconsciously turned red.
Xu Que didn’t expose her. Leaning against the doorframe, she spoke with a smile: “The food is ready; just in time for you to get up and eat.”
Having said that, her gaze moved down, staring at Jiang Fengyi’s belly: “You didn’t eat much last night; you must be starving.”
As if in response to her, Jiang Fengyi’s stomach growled twice at the perfect moment.
Xu Que smiled again: “Come and eat.”
On a workday, the two of them sat leisurely at home enjoying fine food.
One had taken a long leave of absence, while the other had faked a car accident to catch the Zhao family and their accomplices all at once. They both had plenty of time to squander, so a brunch lasted more than two hours before it ended.
At the Company
The fact that Jiang Fengyi had faked a car accident was not hidden from Wu Qi. Now, the company’s large and small matters were decided by her, only requiring a daily report to Jiang Fengyi.
At the same time, she needed to keep an eye on who within the company was becoming restless because of Jiang Fengyi’s absence.
At lunchtime, the cafeteria auntie’s cooking was quite good, and with the ample budget provided by the company, there were various dishes every day that were nutritionally rich. Most employees chose to eat here.
He Shuyi closed her computer and walked to Xiao Wang’s desk: “There’s sweet and sour pork ribs in the cafeteria today; let’s go early!”
Xiao Wang was an employee transferred from another department by the HR department after Zhao Ruxuan resigned, and she was also He Shuyi’s recent lunch buddy. The two of them would head straight for the cafeteria as soon as work ended to eat and gossip.
But today, Xiao Wang gave her an apologetic smile: “Sister He, my stomach is uncomfortable today, so I won’t go to lunch with you.”
Hearing this, He Shuyi was full of concern and hurriedly asked: “Ah? Is it serious? Do you need to take leave and go to the hospital?”
“No… no, no, no need,” Xiao Wang quickly refused. If she took leave, how could she stay here to investigate news? The stomachache was just a reason she had made up on the spot.
She didn’t mind making up a bit more: “I ate something bad this morning and have a bit of diarrhea. I’ll just rest here for a while.”
She urged He Shuyi: “You go to the cafeteria and eat first; the sweet and sour pork ribs will be gone if you go too late.”
He Shuyi gave Xiao Wang a worried look: “Then I’ll go to the cafeteria first. If you feel uncomfortable, send me a message.”
She only started moving after seeing Xiao Wang nod. She walked to the door and then turned back.
Xiao Wang was almost losing her patience: “What is it now?”
He Shuyi asked considerately: “Do you want me to pack some food back for you?”
Xiao Wang deliberately put on a weak expression: “No need. My stomach is upset; I have no appetite.”
“Alright then.”
After He Shuyi left, Xiao Wang waited for a moment. Others in the office also left in twos and threes to eat, leaving her as the only one there.
Xiao Wang looked around, holding an empty folder as a cover, and walked into Jiang Fengyi’s office with a straight face. Even if she were caught by surveillance, she could use the excuse that she went in to deliver a document.
At Jiang Fengyi’s desk, Xiao Wang kept an eye on the door with her peripheral vision while her eyes scanned the desktop rapidly. The computer and the nearby filing cabinet were both locked. On the desk, there were only some drafts, initial versions of projects, or failed documents.
She flipped through them but couldn’t find a single thing of value.
“Hidden so well?”
Refusing to give up, she continued searching, but still couldn’t find any trace of that document.
“Could it be locked away?”
She stared at the locked filing cabinet, helpless. Finally, frustrated, she returned to her workstation and dialed the phone number that had changed the course of her life.
“Hello,”
“I’ve done everything as you said, but I still can’t find the share transfer agreement you mentioned.”
“Everyone in the company is saying President Jiang is lying in a hospital bed unable to wake up. It’s causing panic. They’re saying Jingjiang is about to change hands.”
“Yes, that employee named Xu Que took the day off today.”
“Okay, I’ll find an opportunity to sneak into Sister Wu’s office next time. She is very cautious; I can’t guarantee I’ll find the contract.”
Outside the door, someone had quietly started a voice recording on their phone.
He Shuyi was carrying two portions of sweet and sour pork ribs she had just packed from the cafeteria, and in her other hand, she held medicine she had taken a detour to the pharmacy to buy.
And then, what did she suddenly hear?
She heard the lunch buddy who claimed to have a stomachache sneaking into President Jiang’s office to rummage through files after everyone had left.
If that wasn’t enough, she was even planning to go into Sister Wu’s office to search?
No, she had to tell Sister Wu right away!
